Got seated pretty quick but was then ignored for 10 min. Finally left when ppl who just walked in got their drink before us.

Came in on a Sunday evening, stood there for nearly five minutes waiting to be seated. We were never approached to be seated, despite the several employees hanging around the register chatting, and the ones just hanging out by the soda machine. Disgusting. Floors covered with black slime. Smell of the bathroom(which was dirty and unusable) was leaking into the dining room. Waitress had a horrible attitude, she rolled her eyes and shook her head after walking from each table. Out of several flavors of milkshakes and didn't bother to tell us that they were out of our kids meals until she brought my order out(my order was wrong too). So they had to wait even longer. No apology and no offer to comp the meal when the manager finally brought out the kids food. read more

Arrived tonight with a group and waited around for about 10-15 minutes. After listening to employees argue over who would seat us, a host came up to us and asked "what our problem was", to which we replied we were waiting to be seated. They told us although they were open 24 hours, they could not seat us even though there were only 3 other tables in the restaurant. Our group will not be returning after having people fight over who had to seat us, very poor service indeed. read more

I read the reviews for this particular Steak 'n Shake before coming, I saw that majority of them were bad but it's the closest one to my house so I decided to give it a try. BIG MISTAKE. This is the absolute worst place I've ever eaten. Upon arriving my two sisters and I were seated at a dirty table. When trying to move to another table we couldn't find not one clean table. The manager (older black man that kind of resembles Samuel L. Jackson) came and asked us if we'd like him to wipe down the table (as if that should've even been a question!!!!). He wiped down our table but missed pieces of food and sticky spots on it so it was still dirty. The server was a complete moron (skinny kid with long oily hair). He came to take our orders and we had to repeat them multiple times and I'm not sure why seeing as though he had a pad and was writing down the orders. When bringing out our drinks we were not offered straws. We waited 30+ minutes for our food to come out and when it was finally brought out, we were only given parts of our meals and the food was cold. My sister was told that after waiting 30+ mins she couldn't have blueberry pancakes because they couldn't find any blueberries. And then was asked if she'd like anything else. What the hell were they doing that whole time? & why did it take 30+ mins to figure out that they didn't have blueberries?!!! When setting the plates onto the table the server knocked over my orange juice and then allowed my sister to wipe most of it up while he stood there asking my other sister what she would like in replacement of the blueberry pancakes. He then asked me if I wanted another orange juice (again, why is that even a question?!!!). There was no silverware on the table, we had to ask for knives to spread our jelly and then ask again for forks (both should've been placed on the table before we even ordered). When the rest of my order was finally brought out, it was wrong. I ordered a side of pancakes which comes with two but was only given one. When my second pancake was brought out it was not fully cooked, the middle was literally oozing dough. My sister never received the rest of her order and rather than ask for it and risk more screw ups or wait even longer, we just asked for the check. The manager brought out our check and on it there were things we never ordered and the parts of our meal that we never received. He then took over 20 minutes fixing it, when he brought it back we were undercharged (no complaints there). A couple came in to be seated and sat at their table for about 15 mins while we were waiting for our check to be fixed and not once did anyone go over to get their drink orders or even check on them. They got up and left and the manager watched them walk out of the door and did not say a word. No apology or anything. The food was horrible and the service was even worse. I was in the drive thru when I placed the order. Double steak burger extra cheese add jalapeños no onions. I got a greasy wrapper with a hard bun and no jalapeños and it wasn't hot. I went inside and the guy looked at me like I was stupid after he asked me did I want him to just put jalapeños on it and I asked him to remake it. I see all the women in the kitchen look at me and then gather around the sandwhich and the cook screams out in the opposite direction I put two slices of cheese how many slices do you want me to put in it?!!! The man doesn't answer bc it's obvious she's talking to me ... and while they prepare the new sandwhich they all gather around it (seriously) I got what I wanted and left but damn .... read more

Being from the West Coast, I didn't know what this place was. The Frisco Melt is good. I always ask them to put everything on it, including lettuce and tomatoes and the person taking the order always seems to be stunned, lol. Overall good place to hit up for a late night food run. Went through the dive thru and ordered 2 small milkshakes. What we got were very small, so dissatisfied with the size I went inside for a refund. 3 managers on duty and it still took 20 minutes to get a refund. I felt ripped off and disrespected. Not one of the managers apologized or offered to make it better. One wanted to argue with me about the size. I got a cash refund for my credit payment and left. I called and left a message for the main store manager and got attitude from one of the managers I had spoken to. Again no apology. Wow! How thick could you get?!? read more

When I want to be bad SnS is on the list. This location is very spotty in all respects if you dare to dine inside, where I've had very good to mediocre food and service. I talked myself into the dark side last weekend around 2pm on Saturday, only to find the place totally packed with the manager in back cooking and a 45 minute warning for any food. Thanks for the warning I guess, but we stood there for 10 minutes first. Not sure why this place has so many low reviews. Stopped by for dinner here. Got the garlic double with fries - absolutely delicious. Our waitress was very friendly. Food arrived in 7 minutes or so. Everything was perfect and I'd come back. Just really surprised by the low reviews, our food was awesome. read more

Had a great drive through experience! Whoever was working around 11pm on 4-27-17 was so wonderful that I'm writing this review. Excellent customer service with a GREAT attitude! I've noticed some places don't even make eye contact or even talk to you anymore.. not expecting a full convo, but a hi and bye would be nice! Awful! You really do get what you pay for. The restrooms are disgusting, the place is just filthy... it makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like. Ugh! We ordered breakfast and it was one big sloppy mess swimming in oil. Even the kids pancakes where dripping oil. They are always understaffed, I feel bad for the employees. this place is really bad. the food is okay, but the service is completely AWFUL. We got there and it took 20 min for us to be seated (and there were plenty of open booths and tables) we asked for a half booth half table and got a full booth. The server finally asked us our drinks about 45 min after arriving, then brought them and asked our food 20 min after that. we ordered 1 kids meal 1 normal meal and 2 burgers with cheese fries, when the food came out the guy literally was shaking so bad he almost dumped the food on our laps, and spilled several drink refills, and none of the fries has cheese, so he brings us out two cold cups of liquid cheese and walks away. i will not be going back. the food was alright but the service killed it. read more

Drive thru employee was rude and when we went inside to inform the manager, we realized the drive thru employee was the manager. She was rude and non apologetic for her non customer service. If she treats her employees like she did us, we feel sorry for them. I guess we will go back to the major competitor where the service the difference. read more

Worst service in my life. Went in kinda late 12:40 was seated right away, and the four groups behind us had their orders taken first. Then 5 take out orders were made at the desk, and went our before I received mine at 2am. It then took 15 minutes to pay for my food. Day staff is good, but overnight are terrible. Went here yesterday and were seated rather quickly about 11:30 AM. They only appeared to have 2 waiters for the entire restaurant. After sitting for 10 minutes, with no one coming to our table to take our order (although people seated after us were able to give their order), we left. Do not plan on going back. read more

Great service today and food was delicious! They really need to clean the floors inside and in the entry between parking lot and dining room. The dividers between the rows of tables were dirty also. We sat by the kitchen and I smelled dirty mop water. They are probably missing out on a lot omit customers because of the cleanliness. It's hard to believe last inspection was a 90. read more

I can't believe I ate there. I walk in and wait to be seated for about 5 minutes. I counted about 8 people sitting down to the 30 chairs open. Couldn't sit down because every table was DIRTY! So once we get seated we play the waiting game again. Milkshakes were melted food was cold. But as I'm sitting I see nothing but trash and more trash. So I start to look for the food score. It was taken out of site. I got the manager. And asked him where it was. He told me it was bad and fell of the wall. What?? So after fighting with him to get the actual number he finally told me it was a 71. The man said. Yeah they got us for stupid stuff like things on the floor and Sani buckets not Hott. Do not waste your time waiting for food. The place is not clean ketchup napkins on the floor. They sat us at a table right beside strangers then the waiters used it for a cut through guess they were to lazy to walk around. Terrible service. Came in about 11:40pm and 12:40am still no food. Not even that busy. So we went to the ever so dependable Waffle House.

Me and a friend walked in on a saturday night. Looked around and saw 4 empty tables that were not cleaned but were available for use. During our wait another customer was waiting to pay her bill and she couldnt get any of the associates attention until she got the cook to come to the register. I saw several employees look towards us but they didnt make eye contact and a few they walked right pass us, even asked to get by. We waited for 15 mins and not one associate spoke to us. We walked out. Thats unacceptable especially since several employees were available to at least greet us. read more

After several minutes of bein ignored at the register, the cook argued with me about it and told me to go look in my bag. Me and my Family will never go to this particular Steak & Shake again. We went in there on Oct. 30, 2014 at about 7:15 p.m. , a hostess asked Me how many, I told her we needed a table, for 3, she wrote my name on a list, there was one couple ahead of us, their were Dirty tables and booth's everywhere, so we waited, in the meantime several more people came in , a different employee( a young black girl) asked one of the families that had just walked in, "how many", and when they told her they wanted a table for 4 , she gathered up 4 menus and was about to seat them, that is when I spoke up and told Her that we were on the list already before them, that is when She snapped at me "you need to calm down", "I was not seating them", even though she clearly was, about that time, the couple that was ahead of me on the list came over and told her that I was right, and that they wanted a booth, the black Girl again replied rudely "ya'll are not gonna talk this way to me" , then she glared at Me , and I glared right back at Her, long story short, she was in the wrong , and gave me attitude, so I gave it right back to her, at that point we walked out and went to T.G.I.F. I was appalled at the horrible service and quality of food at this steak and shake. I sat in the drive through line for 30 MINUTES!! I would have just driven away had I not ordered my food already, yes that was 30 minutes after I ordered. When I finally got to the window no one greeted me for at least 5 minutes, and when the window finally opened there was no apology for the delay just an abrupt request for payment. When I (finally) received my food, I noticed immediately that my fries were cold and stale (I was still waiting for my shake, that came another 5+minutes later), so when the attendant returned I asked for a new order of fries. 10 or so minutes later I received an order of undercooked, ultra greasy fries. I couldn't even eat them. My peppermint chocolate chip milkshake, much to my disdain, had NO. CHOCOLATE. whatsoever. They also forgot my drink. I sent the fries back, but to have corrected my entire order I would have been there all night so I left. When I got home, the bun on my burger was stale and hard around the edges, and my cheeseburger had no cheese. Worst 40+ minutes and $7 of my life. Will never return. read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I came here tonight on a Saturday night at 8:45pm with my sister and mother. The restaurant was not busy and we waited for almost 10 minutes for a table. There were multiple tables available and I was holding my infant son in his car seat. I finally asked the manager who was working the cash register if we could get a table as he had seen us the entire time and we were the only ones waiting for a table. He said someone would clean a table for us, started to clean one off and then walked back to the register. Two servers were watching us and did not step in to seat us. Finally, my sister said something and we sat ourselves as my car seat was incredibly heavy. We sat and proceeded to wait 5 more minutes with servers looking at our table but refusing to take the time to come by, all the while watching a bus boy seat a young couple immediately. We never received menus and finally walked out. Neither the manager nor the servers made any attempt to stop us to help and watched us leave. I am unbelievably appalled at the lack of customer service this location gave and the lack of organization this location provided. Being a new mother, it is difficult to find time to go out with a young infant and simply wanted a night out with my family, yet left in utter disappointment after experiencing such a rude encounter. The mere fact that both the servers and manager did not deem it important enough to wait on three women and a baby instead of young teenagers is unnerving and selfish. I will never be visiting this location again due to the complete disregard of the staff's character. read more
