Paper thin patties, thought I got only one but there was two... But I guess that's what you get for under $8 combo...

We don't have any Steak 'n Shakes back home in Hawaii, so I've always wanted to try one. I used to see them occasionally when I lived in Chicago, but never got around to going. Tonight we decided to stop by just for some dessert on the way home. The drive thru was still open for regular late hours, despite the coronavirus putting many things to a halt. We had a really nice and friendly worker taking our order. Sadly, he informed us that even though it is still showing on the menu board, they will not be serving red velvet shakes again until February. We were originally going to try the red velvet Oreo shake which sounded good. Instead, we opted for a Reese's peanut butter chocolate shake. It was nice and rich and smooth. Good blend of chocolate and peanut butter. It tasted like they used real whipped cream too. My fiance also ordered a Coke which was huge for a large! I saw a lot of good deals on the menu, and I like that they have a mushroom Swiss burger - one of my favorites. Apparently, there's an AMC nearby too, so I'd definitely come back to this location to try more items and check out the area further.

We haven't been here for a while and I remember it being a great place. This place has changed a lot! First off, there are no waiters or servers any longer. Second, the place was filthy. The tables, counters, and floor, all nasty and sticky. I cleaned my own table with the hand sanitizer. We took a chance and ordered some burgers. The food looked good and it tasted okay. The prices have NOT gone up like other restaurants. So I guess that explains that.. i'm sure they had to cut back somewhere to keep the prices low. This used to be a fun place to go to and now it's like Burger King.

I ordered a Single Steakburger with Cheese Combo to go. I was so hungry, just had 30mins break before next class, didn't pay attention and had a bite. Then I felt the "weird" smell. I opened... OMG!!!!! The burger got MOLDY. So NASTY . How can they even try to sell this burger. This business should get shutting down!!!!

Whenever I got to the AMC across the street, I almost always go to this Steak and Shake. Whether going before or after the movie I'm planning on watching, I dine in. I've bought multiple people here with me because I know they are dependable and never disappoint. They always seat their customers in a timely manner, the waiters are always on their job, and the payment process is super simple. Next time I come here I'll have a more in depth review but in general I'm always impressed by this location.

Mint Oreo shake!!!! It was just wonderful.

Currently pickup/drive-thru only. Line was well marked and drive thru well lit. Menu signs easy to read and ambled so that you can browse before you're waiting at the microphone/speaker to order. Service was timely and the window person was attentive and friendly.

    Hamburger and Fries .... delicious!

This franchise is right across from the AMC Colonial 18 movie theater. We had 40 mins until movie time and we're hungry so we stopped here to grab a quick bite to eat. So glad we did. It was served quickly, and was fresh and delicious! I ordered the house salad with grilled chicken (Deeeelicious). My husband ordered a hamburger meal. It too was scrumptious! The meals here are very affordable and does the job for a fast foodie stop!

I started to go to steak and shake just to get my pumpkin spice shake ( during the season) . They have the buy one get 2nd half off frim 2 to 5pm.I always used the drive thru. One day me and my family felt like eating burgers so we decided to go there. It was a good decision! The service was great. Our server was really nice. The prices are really good. Right now they have a special menu of 2 items (burgers or fries) for $3. They food was good. I'm not a big fan of fast food, but everything was fresh and yummy. I didn't feel that grease taste or smell it's usually related to fast food. My family was happy, so I was happy. Note: Bathrooms could be cleaner.

From the moment my daughter her friend and I walked in, we were treated like we were a burden instead of paying customers. The attitudes from the employees were rude, cold, and completely unwelcoming. Nobody seemed happy to help, and the entire atmosphere felt miserable. After waiting 10-15 minutes for our food to be "freshly cooked," I expected at least hot food. Instead, I was handed a turkey burger that was barely lukewarm and french fries that were cold, limp, and already wrinkling like they had been sitting forever. To make it worse, the fries looked like nothing but the tiny leftover scraps from the bottom of the potato bag. It honestly felt like they just threw together whatever they didn't want to serve anyone else. We sent the fries back, and when they brought them out again, they were only slightly warmer than before -- still not hot like fries should be straight out of the fryer. What's even crazier is that the manager brought the food back to the table and STILL never apologized. No concern, no accountability, nothing. That alone says everything about the customer service at this place. Whatever happened to quality food and decent customer service? Customers are paying hard-earned money and deserve hot food and respectful treatment -- not cold leftovers, terrible attitudes, and management that acts like it doesn't care. Extremely disappointing experience, and I will definitely think twice before ever coming back.

When I got the burger, the bun wasn't really toasted and it wasn't cut in half, so I sent it back. The cook was very nice about it and brought it back out with no issues. The burger was good, but all of the food was really greasy. While eating the burger, grease began to drip down my hand and the fries/onion rings still looked wet.
