From the moment my daughter her friend and I walked in, we were treated like we were a burden instead of paying customers. The attitudes from the employees were rude, cold, and completely unwelcoming. Nobody seemed happy to help, and the entire atmosphere felt miserable. After waiting 10-15 minutes for our food to be "freshly cooked," I expected at least hot food. Instead, I was handed a turkey burger that was barely lukewarm and french fries that were cold, limp, and already wrinkling like they had been sitting forever. To make it worse, the fries looked like nothing but the tiny leftover scraps from the bottom of the potato bag. It honestly felt like they just threw together whatever they didn't want to serve anyone else. We sent the fries back, and when they brought them out again, they were only slightly warmer than before -- still not hot like fries should be straight out of the fryer. What's even crazier is that the manager brought the food back to the table and STILL never apologized. No concern, no accountability, nothing. That alone says everything about the customer service at this place. Whatever happened to quality food and decent customer service? Customers are paying hard-earned money and deserve hot food and respectful treatment -- not cold leftovers, terrible attitudes, and management that acts like it doesn't care. Extremely disappointing experience, and I will definitely think twice before ever coming back.

The other items I ordered besides the fish sandwich were whole chicken wings meal that came with French fries and a drink. The price is slightly on the higher side. In my opinion, I will not return to this establishment.

Never Going Back... I don't usually leave reviews, but my experience at this Steak 'n Shake location was bad enough that I felt other people needed a warning. From the moment we walked in, it was clear cleanliness wasn't a priority. Every table we passed had crumbs, spilled drinks, and sticky residue on it -- including the one we were eventually seated at. We had to wipe it down ourselves with napkins before we could even set our phones down. The floors weren't much better, with food debris and sticky spots scattered throughout the dining area that clearly hadn't been mopped in a while. Meanwhile, several employees were standing around on their cell phones instead of bussing the dirty tables piling up around the restaurant. At one point I counted two staff members clustered near the counter, scrolling away, while at least four tables sat uncleared. The food didn't redeem the experience. My burger tasted off, and within a couple of hours I had serious stomach cramps, nausea, and other classic food poisoning symptoms that lasted well into the next day. My iced tea had a strange, moldy aftertaste that I noticed a couple sips in and immediately stopped drinking -- at that point I was worried about what else in the kitchen wasn't being handled properly. Between the unsanitary tables and floors, the inattentive staff, and getting sick afterward, this was one of the worst fast food experiences I've had. I'd strongly recommend management look into their cleaning protocols and food handling practices before someone else ends up like I did. I won't be returning to this location. read more

Subject: Complaint Regarding Poor Service and Unprofessional Behavior I am writing to formally report a disappointing experience I had during my recent visit to your location. The worker or food expediter who assisted me was extremely rude. My order was incorrect, and when I explained that it was supposed to be carry-out, not dine-in, she became visibly irritated. She slammed the items on the counter and acted unprofessionally. In addition, both of the milkshakes I ordered were only half full. I asked to speak to a manager, and another staff member told me I couldn't saying that the manager wouldn't offer a refund anyway. When the manager, Douglas, finally came out, he was not apologetic and seemed unconcerned about the rudeness and behavior of his staff. Douglas claimed that he removed the charge and issued a refund, but he did not provide a receipt. When I politely asked for one for my records, he became defensive and rude. I simply wanted confirmation that I had not received my order and that my payment was being refunded properly. Eventually, he signed a receipt and wrote "payment deleted," but I felt uncomfortable and dismissed throughout the interaction. This experience was unacceptable, and I sincerely hope this is not the standard of customer service your business upholds. I'm sure I am not the only customer who has encountered this kind of treatment. read more

the food was so so so nasty the workers were rude , we returned our food once for missing items and it was cold we watched him make it the second time for it to still be cold and wrong and raw , it was so thrown together and sloppy the fries were cold and stale and stuck together , the drinks are either watered down or nasty and it was bugs on the table , and honestly i think they poisoned us because i threw up and my head is hurting and i feel weird i would 10000000/10 not recommend coming here i suggest you look at these reviews and take no for an answer. read more

This is worst service I've ever experienced in my entire life. Nobody in their right mind should ever give a single dollar to this corrupt establishment. I pulled up to the drive thru at approximately 2:15 and they said that they were only doing dine in or carry out. What kind of shit is that? Nobody comes to Steak 'n Shake at 2 am to go in.
