How the Garlic Double Steakburger is advertised.
    Stacey B.

I ordered the garlic steak burger, a usual for me. Friendly service, but what I received for my order was a sad excuse for a garlic burger. The bun had NO garlic spread on top of it and it was dry as heck. I asked for extra garlic spread and there was NONE on top of the bun, and virtually none actually on the bun. It was the worst, driest burger I've ever had at steak n shake. Check out the photos for how they advertise the burger, and how it came.

The chili is the beat from the can:)

Steak 'n Shake is one of my top places to go because of the 5-way however THIS location (I have tried at least 7 times) SUCKS!!! I always order the 5-way with extra chili beef and it's always in a diff container with hardly any chili beef. The burgers are sloppy and small. The fries are never fresh, and the wait is always long. Even the can chili from this location is watery ... Gus would be so disappointed by this location. The best so far in Florida was in Gainesville. If you are having Steak 'n Shake for the first time.. don't go here- it will kill a great place for you

I never go to steak and shake but had a coupon so ordered the 5 way chili. Didn't notice until I got home that they gave me a bowl of spaghetti with about a table spoon of beans on top. No meat at all. The online menu didn't say anything about pasta. I'm gluten intolerant but gave it a try anyway. Tasted like soggy spaghetti with ketchup and onions. There was only a tablespoon of beans. I threw the whole thing away. Very odd and unpalatable. Two stars for the vanilla shake.

I really wanted to love this place!…read more Myself, my mom and my grandma went here for the mad hatter themed pop up that's happening. When we arrived, there was one table left in the bar side, which had enough for 6 people. We asked if we could just grab that spot and the hostess had to go speak to the manager. She came back and informed us that we could not sit there, but instead in the adjacent restaurant (same menu) or the bar (my grandma is in a wheelchair), or wait but that it might be over an hour. Since we were a group of 3 we asked if we could split that table into 2 so we wouldn't use it all, additionally, we had driven over an hour for the pop up and really wanted to be in the themed area, but they insisted that they had to keep it open for any potential larger party that would come after us. My question is... couldn't that larger party that *might* come sit in the adjacent restaurant? We were after the lunch hour (around 2pm) and I get wanting to keep space, but this has literally never happened to me before anywhere I have been. Eventually, we were able to sit at that table (they didn't split it into 2, but we offered multiple times). No larger group came so there wasn't an issue with that... I mean it did all work out but the vibes were so weird and others should know the potential issues! We only got cocktails, and they were delicious! I loved the theming it was super cute and accurate! I think if I go back I would go alone so I could sit at the bar. There is plenty of parking available!

This location was suggested as they have an enclosed patio to avoid bugs, and it worked out great! The staff were remarkable and even brought an iced water for the dog without even asking! Appreciate that extra touch. What We Ordered: ~ Dockside Scallops (Appetizer): cooked beautifully, and paired with a sauce that complimented the scallops. Loved the citrus for acidity, while having the sweet chili for some spice. I can see this being delicious with rice and a vegetable for an entree, which they also offer. ~ The Big Cheese Burger (sub Cheddar versus American Cheese): Very delicious and a great price point for $15! Definitely left us satisfied as we cut in half to share the scallops as well. ~ Jumper Juice: only $5 all day, every day? Why not try! Though, I'm a vodka fan so this was not my liquor of choice. Still a very refreshing drink that I'm sure many would enjoy. ~ Coke: A classic for a burger, and tasted great on a hot, humid Florida day. Definitely a place I'd return when visiting in the area, and I can see trying the scallop entree or even getting a burger again. Great food, friendly service, and spacious location.

The waitress was terrific but when it came to the food, we both agreed we would not go back. Fish and Chips were ordered and it was mentioned that they tasted Frozen Long John from a box and the 2 fish pieces were small. We paid $1 extra for onion rings which looked good but needed seasoning aka salt. My patty melt was ok and I ordered it with fries which didn't come out with my meal. When the fries came they were fresh which I was happy about that but I needed to salt them for flavor. Went to use the ladies room before leaving and a 1 stall caused a traffic jam on a Saturday afternoon. Can't imagine what it would be like on a busy night. It was busy in there so if you are in the area, try it just don't order fish and chips.
