Cute little place! Stumbled across this gem while working in the area. Found it on yelp, reviews were good and I love steak fingers so I had to try it. I was not disappointed. The food here is AMAZING! Their steakfinger basket comes with the most perfect toast and gravy, and they treat their customers so kindly. Looks like Steakfinger House recently changed the owner. The menu has been revamped and prices had increased taken into account the enormous inflation the US economy is going through. That said, the meal itself (instead of affordable) is still reasonable. It comes with meat, toast and gravy. The portion isn't too big but you won't leave too hungry either. I had a steakfinger entree ($7.95 excl taxes and tips) and thought it was good for a light lunch (if you are a big guy or comes in hungry, you may need more than an entree though). The meal was fast when I stopped by in the early afternoon and they did fry my steakfinger portion for my order (didn't seem to just scoop up what was already fried for me..since I had to wait just a bit). But that said, this joint only opens for 5 hours a day 10am-3pm, so maybe you can just try to avoid the lunch rushes if you are concerned about wait time because they seemed to fry per order. Overall, a satisfying meal. Not too light and not too heavy either. I wouldn't say it's super cheap or anything...just about how much lunch should cost these days I guess. read more

Never received my order. It was closed when I went to pick it up 2 hours after I ordered it at 1 pm. Then when I went the next day to see what happened they said they made it when they opened but gave it to a homeless person and were extremely rude for a place that wasn't open but accepted orders during their own business hours of operation!! They made the food and it tasted like old grease. Not the worst but definitely makes my top 10 worst. Hopefully it was just an off day for them. read more

The food was good but the problems out weigh the food. the service was terrible, and it took an hour and a half to get the food. The fish was cold aswellold dinner style little space. They ran out of a couple different things, overall it was not that good. read more

The people who run this place are really really nice And I have been here several times. But my last visit I was just not impressed with my food. I got the chicken fingers. They looked kind of weird on one side like they had been split in two But where that part was fried it was hard. There was a lot of breading and not a lot of chicken. I like other things that they have so I don't think that I will ever get the chicken fingers again. But it's a local downtown place so I will keep on supporting it! read more

Oh if the food wasn't enough, the staff was fantastic! We were looking for a little place to stop for lunch, and we found the perfect place. Not good at all. Actually pretty terrible. Went last night before a concert at BOK because it had good reviews. One of the few times the Yelp reviews were majorly wrong. No steak fingers first of all. That is the name of the place so they should probably have them. Although, after eating the chicken strips, I'm sure they would have been awful too. The place was tired, dirty and dingy. Poor quality ingredients, frozen fries and the blandest chicken strips I have ever tasted. This is right up the street from me & these are one (of many) spots that are mom & pop places that are open during lunch hours. I really wanted to try the BBQ Sandwich but they ran out, so that's probably a popular choice, especially with it being a special. They have daily specials. I got their other special, a double burger with fries & a drink. I believe the dude working there stated it was the same price as a burger with a single patty (for that day of course). I like the type of burgers they make. Greasy, toasted buns, super melted cheese with pickles & mustard. I should've added bacon. I liked their fries as well. The place is family operated. They're really nice people. Everyone spoke & a lady was taking care of people's drinks (refills), trash, etc. Good energy all around. read more

Being a creature of habit, I have trouble trying anything but the steak finger basket as it has never let me down. However..... Last trip in talked to the waitress and she gave me the scoop. Used to love this place and be a regular. But the new owner is TERRIBLE. The dude is a world class cheapskate and the food isn't worth what you have to put up with. The guy doesn't want to waste an ounce of food, so he'll only cook one order at a time. So while most places will throw 10+ burgers on the griddle and crank out the orders, this dude does 1 at a time. At lunch rush, it's normal to wait 30+ minutes for your food and it's taken almost an hour on other occasions. If you leave a tip for the waitresses, he keeps it unless you tell them it's specifically for the waitress(s). Then, IF he gives them the tip, he takes $1 off the top of it for himself. Tip $2.25? Yeah, they got $1.25 if anything. They're paid $3.25 an hour... it's INSANE that he takes their tips. On top of that, he has a reputation of yelling at the staff girls that work there and even three good in one of their faces when he got upset. (All the words I want to use for this guy aren't permitted on reviews.) How's the food? Not bad, usually... But the last few times, my patties were burnt to a char, small, and just plain weird tasting. My solution was to wait until 1pm when the lunch rush cleared out. Why'd I did that? Literally one reason... Aunt Karen (an awesome lady that USED to work there). But now she's over at Taco Bueno/Burger King and they're treating her way better than this jerk ever did. So to sum it up... I was a die hard consistent customer. No mas. I'm out. I'd rather eat Burger King on a bad day than give this jerk another penny for his food on a RARE good day. Superb Catfish.....cornmeal batter....wow...cooked just right!!!! This was my first time here and was surprised that I had not known about this gem before...it has a 36 year history in Tulsa....very nice staff...the catfish is what I had and it was wonderful...I will be back... One issue for me, but not a deal-breaker and that is I like my french fries on the crispy side...probably should have ordered it that way and will next time.... Give this place a try....check out their open times before you make the trip they are not open in the evenings... read more

First of all let me say that the steak fingers are great. This place is worth it just for them. I ordered the steak finger basket (comes with steak fingers, fries, a roll and gravy). As I stated, the fingers we great. The roll was a store bought dinner roll and the gravy was good (as a dipping sauce). However the fries were a different story. They ranged from alienate to extra crispy. They sign on the door said they were home cut fries but that did make them good when they are not cooked right. The atmosphere is a cheep mom and pop shop. The walls have a painted design that is not in the freshest state. The food comes on paper plate you can buy from the store. The safe are really friendly and the lady that brought out the food to your table called everyone "Dear". Had it not been for the people in business attire, I would have felt like I was eating at a soup kitchen. The place is pretty busy for lunch. I would recommend not ordering the basket, order the steak finger burger instead. You only thing missing is the gravy and you save $3. Plus none of the locals order the basket. They all order a burger of some kind. No since looking like an out of towner. Do not come here if you are looking for food that isn't Brown in color. You will find no salads on the menu. This is not a health food establishment. Overall it was a nice place with very friendly staff. read more

Great little spot to get a really good burger and friendly service. Went here on a rainy day and it was packed. We managed to get a seat, but hurried to eat because there was a line out the door. On Thursday they have a double burger for the price of a single. It was very popular. There was one server running food from the kitchen who buzzed around the place taking care of everyone and treating all the customers like old friends. My husband loves the steak finger which are really more like steak chunks. They instantly reminded me of my late nanny's home cooking. They were good, but you don't get much for the money.
