Cute, lively spot for breakfast in Branson. We went on a busy Saturday morning and had about a 30 minute wait, which didn't feel too bad considering how popular the place was. They have their own parking lot - it was mostly full when we arrived but luckily we were able to find a spot as someone was leaving. Once we got inside, the setup was straightforward: you order at the counter and they give you a beeper which notifies you when your food is ready to be picked up at the counter. It's efficient, and the staff kept things moving smoothly. The atmosphere is cozy with nice views overlooking the tree-lined hills. The food was decent, though nothing fancy. It had a diner vibe to it. The eggs were cooked right, the ham that came with the Big Joe breakfast tasted fine but was tiny. The french toast was pretty basic. That said, prices are quite reasonable and on par with what you get. Great if you're looking for an inexpensive, no frills kind of place with a nice setting. read more

First time going to this charming little cafe, and we had a Wonderful experience! I ordered à la carte and got 1 egg, 2 slices of bacon and a cinnamon roll French toast. My husband got stuffed hashbrowns and substituted his toast for a pancake. They also have a local and or veteran discount! A very popular place with the locals. We expected to wait, which wasn't so bad on a weekday. Service was decent. They seemed to split how parties ordered food. Some ordered at a cashier, while others, like us ordered at our table. Everything was paid (including tip) in advance of receiving food. Food itself was OK. As a breakfast burrito connoisseur, I found the one here a bit underwhelming. They should consider putting the hash browns inside the burrito for added texture and flavor. I tried doing so but the burrito was cooked shut. Oh well. I did like the biscuit and gravy quite a bit; I overheard a local rave about it so I had to try it. Definitely get that. Quite a long wait but we are finding that is normal for this area. We went for breakfast. There were 3 of us. While we waited we walked around the property. They have a very nice overlook on the back side. Once we were called we ordered at the counter and then found our table. Food was very good. Specialty coffee was even better!!! If you are in the Branson area, this is where you need to go for your coffee. First off, there's an adorable little cat outside that greets you. He's like a tiny little caramel and chocolate meatloaf. He's super friendly so give him some love. On top of that, the coffee here was so good. We were looking for anything in the area that wasn't coming out of k-cup. This place did not disappoint. Had an iced caramel macchiato and it was spot on. They were quite busy when we got there, but the line moved really fast. And if you have time, sit down and enjoy some food with the view. It is phenomenal out the windows. Staff: friendly and attentive Ambiance: cute little (no so little, they have multiple floors) cafe that has an amazing view. Register and bakery on one side, kitchen on the other. The wall of windows provided plenty of natural lighting. Food: think simple but done well. Nothing over the top, no overstuffed overfilled over the top frills. Just simple ingredients done right. Portions are on the smaller side but for the price it's very reasonable. Blueberry Muffins - beyond delicious - moist and just the right amount of sweetness. They are baked in-house and amazing. Breakfast Bowl - not the biggest portion but very generous with their eggs. Considering the price it is still a good deal. Supreme Salad - Nice fresh salad, they can accommodate if you need to exclude ingredients like cheese or almonds. Great to have as part of the salad sandwich combo to keep it light. Chicken Bacon Ranch Panini - some may find this a bit overly simplified, would have liked for it to have a bit more chicken/filling. But overall still a good simple sourdough grilled panini. Caramel Apple Macchiato - not too overly sweet so you don't feel like you're being overindulgent. But still very delicious. We are local residents in Branson and we enjoy the food from the steamy Joe's Café; however, waiting 45 minutes outside, and then coming inside and waiting 20 minutes to place an order is not a great customer experience! I have a suggestion for leadership. Add another register!!! Even if it has to be a temporary register, you would Improve the customer service experience, and you would quit walking customers. Wake up.... Having your owner/manager run a register is stupid! Then when we got to the register a hostess asks if she can take our order with a hand held device.... Where has she been for the last 20 minutes??? I started coming here because Billy Gail's could not figure out a solution to manage their traffic flow. read more

If this was a constant thing, it would for sure cost a couple stars. For now, I didn't factor it in. We ordered a slice of breakfast quiche, cinnamon roll, coconut cream pie, and a club sandwich. Everything tasted great. The girls also had coffees, one americano and a vanilla latte, and heard they were excellent. They also have almond milk as an option for those who use it. We have driven by The Bradford for years and didn't know they had a public cafe. We stopped for the first time today. We had our dog and when I called, they told me there is plenty of outdoor seating that is dog friendly. And, there was. We didn't realize the format is wait in line to order, get your own soft drinks and tea and wait for your buzzer to go off to retrieve your food. This format would be easier without having to split up, one with the dog outside at the table, the other orders and then goes up the stairs and in the building to order and retrieve your food (then back down the stairs, etc.) That said, an employee inside held a place in line for one of us to order while the other found a table outside. That was very helpful. That is all I can say about service, as otherwise, it is all self-service. The food was good enough that we would go back, but we would leave our dog at home and sit inside. We were wildly disappointed with our brunch, based on the reviews we'd read prior to coming here. The only truth in the reviews we experienced was the service - they were very attentive and as friendly as they could be despite the chaos. The food was mediocre at best, the space was very small for the number of tables they have, especially without anyone offering the outside space or letting us know it was free to roam or free seating even after being assigned a table... it was extremely loud, the service staff has to walk through and over customers constantly, they have a table by the only visible exit door, so the person sitting there constantly feels in the way if people are trying to come in and out because the door doesn't open all the way in the space it's given so it literally bumps the person in the chair... The Spicy Turkey Panini was made dry, served with a side of strange mustard and glued together with plastic cheese. It was so sticky and strange that it stuck to my fingers when trying to pull apart the sandwich. I ended up putting all toppings on the dry sides of the sandwich and eating a half instead of a whole, and coming home my stomach wasn't happy. The cinnamon roll was dry, the eggs were overcooked and strange texture, and the meat on both our dishes was very dry. The potato salad tasted like a ranch packet mixed into mayo, and had so much mayo you could barely find the potatoes... they were nice enough to offer to replace it, but unfortunately the coleslaw was no better quality. The biscuit and gravy was decent though and you can't really go wrong with a berry compote lol My dad is much more generous with his stomach than I am, and we were starving when we got there, so he sucked it up and noshed his, which is why there's only half a cinnamon roll. My personal review is that it was very dry. We did enjoy the view, so I included a video of that, which also shows the back of the restaurant and access via the hotel driveway for any accessibility issues. We may have come on an 'off day' for this place, but unfortunately this was our one and only impression and we had to rush back to the hotel with our disappointment... read more
