The Maryland crab and cream of crab soups were pretty good. I got the oyster PO boy and it was pretty bad. The roll was like a cheap bagged roll: no crunchy crust or pillowy inside. The oyster breading had no seasoning and just tasted meh. They were put on the sandwich hot and got all soggy and the breading was falling apart. It wasn't "dressed" like a po boy should be but rather just had a slice of tomato and lettuce and some kind of sauce. It was served w chips that were supposed to be crab chips but they were plain and really overcooked and teeth-hurtingly crunchy. Mom got the fried green tomatoes which were pretty good. But the cream sherry sauce was overkill. Too much, it was drowning. Lump crab was good. Didn't love it. Seems popular though. read more

I've been here twice so far. I don't eat seafood, so every time we've come I've ordered the same dish: the Taco Salad. And that Taco Salad is pretty good, the portion is absolutely huge (the bowl literally seems endless) with all your standard taco salad fare with a big chunk of avocado on top. My mother ordered it last time and got sick an hour after eating it though. It's always pretty crowded in this place whenever we go, and the last time we were here the service was pretty slow. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It's a pretty pricy place, although the salad is big, I wouldn't pay $15 for it. My family enjoyed their seafood dishes. read more

Nothing wrong per say, just underwhelming. We live local and have rarely gone. Went recently and the food was just ok. The steam shrimp were over seasoned and the seafood platter was under seasoned everything was worn (including the check holder itself. We had two drinks, an app and two entrees and the total was $90. My husband and I ate here for the first time last night. We ordered the fried green Tomatoes topped with crabmeat, bacon wrapped scallops, and he got the cajun pasta. The appetizers were so bland. There was no kind of taste at all. The shrimp and chicken in his pasta were way overcooked and the toast that came with it was burnt to the point of blackening. The cream of crab was delicious, I will say that, but everything else was just terrible. I gave it 2 stars and not 1 because our server was very attentive and pleasant even though she was busy dealing with superbowl patrons. I doubt we'll return here anytime soon. read more

My husband and I took our daughter here yesterday for lunch. They were short staffed and took a break from seating people. Amber who was working the front desk was so nice. I felt sorry for her. The reviews on yelp looked great , so we decided to check it out with two other couples. I wasn't impressed. Three of us got the tenderloin tips with mashed potatoes and asparagus . I asked the server if we could all have our tenderloin medium . When out orders were delivered the beef was so overcooked and dry ,the mashed potatoes were horrible .Out friend got a pasta dish which he said was tasteless . My family needed a restaurant to accommodate a large amount of people after a funeral recently. Steelefish did a great job for us, especially with such short notice. They were able to set us up with a private area with a cash bar, personal bartender and servers. Donna the bartender did a great job, as well as, Kyle the manager. Very disappointed. Terrible service from bartender. As a former bartender and waitress, my husband and I are very well familiar with how it is when restaurants get busy. But when we sat at the bar our bartender passed by us 10 to 15 times without even acknowledging us. He was an older guy maybe in his late 30s early 40s. He totally ignored us did not even look at us. We would've understood that they were busy if he could've just looked us in the eye and said "hey I'll be right there". We walked out. We usually have great service and food. Very disappointing the manager was nonchalant. And asked if I still wanted to take the food home that then I just found Hair in. I do not recommend this place. I was really disappointed in this place. I ordered a filet that was supposed to be medium and was brought out well done. The waiter didn't return for some time so I ate it but very disappointing for a $40 steak. My son ordered fried shrimp that was lukewarm and the breading was mushy. My 6 year old ordered a corn dog but they brought corn dog bites. And listen, I know it's the same thing and personally I prefer corn dog bites, but she's six and it wasn't what she wanted or what she ordered so we asked them to bring her some pasta instead and we were all done with our meals by the time she received it. We found our new favorite place! Went in at 3:00 on a Saturday and had no trouble getting seats at the bar and Madison served us right away. Her service was perfect! Not over attentive and there when we needed her. We ordered the calamari appetizer, I got the prime dip sandwich and hubby got a chicken dish from the specials menu which was rolled around spinach with prosciutto, a sherry cream sauce, topped with crab meat, served with broccoli and mashed potatoes. We loved that the calamari was served with 2 sauces! Nice to have a variety of flavors and most places do only a marinara or a "Blooming Onion" type sauce. The lemon garlic aioli was a refreshing change from the norm and although I dislike marinara, this one was extremely flavorful and complemented the dish perfectly! The calamari was just lightly dusted with breading, perfectly crispy and tender. The chicken special should become part of the regular menu! The sauce was flavorful and the ingredients worked together well. The prime rib dip was one of the best I've had and I eat these everywhere. Again, I love the dual dips...the standard au jus and the creamy horseradish sauce. I dip in both. Why anyone would serve a French Dip without this is beyond me. Superb dining & good food! I was out celebrating my mom and grandmother's birthday. My mom suggested Steelefish based on her friend's raving review. The outside looked a bit outdated, but how surprised was I to find how modern and contemporary it was inside! It was awesome. The food was absolutely delicious. It was a feast- crab dip, wings, crab cakes, shrimp-you name it! Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was friendly. My grandmom is usually cautious about certain places, but she loved Steelefish! I can't wait to have a girl's night here once it gets warmer outside. I went once, never returned. They came out with entire tables dinner and told me that they ran out of what I ordered. I had to reorder and watch everyone else eat; then everyone was finished eating and I still hadn't received my order. I couldn't hold everyone up so we paid our bill and yes, the total included my order! I had to ask for it to be removed because I never received it. I was told, "they are starting it now" well the rest of the table was fed 30 minutes before and that is when my order was placed. They then tried to get me to take it to go! Completely missed the point that I was there 90 minutes and never received a meal. We shared the fried calamari and it came out piping hot and crispy with two sauces - white garlic sauce and red tomato sauce. I had a cup of the cream of crab soup. It was tasty and you could see the big chunks of crab as well. For the main, I had the Ulysses seafood pasta. When the plate came, I was scared because there was so much food! Lots of mussels, chunks of crab and shrimp. My husband had the fish and chips and the portion was so large it could have fed two people! For dessert, they did not bring a menu, but a platter so you could see exactly what was available. We ordered the oreo cake and were again surprised a the size of the slice of cake. I visited Steelefish Grille on July 18th 2021. It was my very first time visiting; I was excited because of my overall love for seafood. The server was really nice and professional but the manager Josh not so much!!!Friends and I dined on the inside ! I ordered a Key Lime Martini and Maryland Steamed Shrimp and also an order of Old Bay wings. Upon receiving my drink I noticed flies floating inside of it. I immediately brought it to the server's attention. However , server took drink back to the bar...Manager made another drink but failed to personally come over , apologize and make wrongs right. Most restaurants with decent manager's would have personally apologized and adjusted the bill due to circumstances. I called for manager (Josh) had a conversation with him ..I was told "I didn't think it was that big of a deal , I sent you another drink over". Wow was all that I could say.. so many wrongs in how poorly this was handled. Josh smirked the entire time that I addressed this situation.
