We were disappointed in Steep as a breakfast spot. After perusing the menu we settled on two bagel breakfast sandwiches and a coffee. Turned out someone woke up late and bagels would not be there for over an hour later. Our next best choice was a handheld burrito for $3 more ($11). When asked, they were non-flexible with price after failing to deliver on the bagels. Just poor customer service and we paid more for something we didn't want. Burrito was flavorless with a single sausage patty at one end and dry, fake-looking eggs throughout. $11?! As a silver lining, the cinnamon roll was better and coffee was meh. read more

Great place for coffee or beer, and any time you like! They don't judge. Staff is always friendly and a pretty good beer lineup, but there's some random stuff on tap. Locals appreciate the 'HQ' location because it's away from the tourists, and glad to have the village location near the lift to grab a drinks after some runs. Holy moly we lucked out with this new addition to Keystone/River Run - came over to grab some coffee and we were blown away. Fabulous customer service, cool vibe and great coffee and food! Just stopped in to support a local business... Ordered a SMALL Mocha coffee... I didn't measure the cup, but it was less than 8 ounces ...IT COST $6.04!!! Plus it was basically stone cold.. it's no wonder that there was nobody in there...about six doors down the Haywood Café was PACKED.. How this place could get anything over one star is beyond me...will NEVER GO BACK.. If memory serves, this is the same business that at one time was automatically adding 18% all their bills.. read more

Omg; so happy to find a local coffee spot worth something!! We come to Keystone every summer and struggle with finding places for breakfast, for coffee, for anything appetizing really and came here three times in under 24 hours because it was so good. I LOVE that I can get coffee and my husband can get beer. Every time we walked in we were greeted promptly even if an order wasn't taken immediately. The coffee is so good. I got a vanilla latte both times, no bitter aftertaste. And, I normally drink decaf, but opted for regular this vacay and I didn't get jitters. The bagel sandwich was so good. It didn't taste like microwaved garbage you get from some places. And that bagel. YUM. My husband didn't like the Mexican beer, but we know sometimes we don't love everything we try. His Nitro coffee was really good though. Happy to have found this place. read more

Had both of the draft IPAs and they were sooo good- Escape to colorado and telluride rustle Kelly. The kids enjoyed the pretzel- I thought it was a slightly bland pretzel but the cheese dip with it was super tasty. Great post hike/ski been and snack. This brewery and coffee roaster/brewer, though small, is a breath of fresh air in Keystone... they roast their own beans on a rotating schedule throughout the year (different flavor profiles from the terroir the beans came from plus the on premise roasting process) and brew their beers using the same coffee to add to their Porters and Stouts (would love to see a coffee cream style ale if Justin (brewer) sees this and wants a suggestion)... On that note, Justin (the owner and brew master) is very enjoyable and fun to converse with if you have the chance (about beer, coffee, and life), and Molly (one of the bartenders) is incredibly personable and a joy to chat with (again if you have the opportunity)... The beer is cold, well done and I've yet to try anything I didn't like (even the decaf coffee stout, the only one I've ever tasted, was really nice). If you have a chance (even more so during mud season), make the drive and give them a chance... my guess is you won't be disappointed. read more

Went to the Gondola location. Plan was to buy a beer while my wife had a coffee. Sure, beer is more profitable, but they stop serving coffee at noon. We both walked out pissed off, me because I couldn't get a beer, her because she didn't have coffee. Serving both sides the entire day would go a long way for people. read more

Went for the first time on a Friday at around 5 PM. Bartenders were great as was the beer. There were 4 ski patrol guys who came in and I bought them each a beer the returned the favor when they ordered some pizza and gave me some. The Pizza was good. I will be back, I was at the Gateway location which is in Keystone but not the one in River Run. They had a TV to watch March Madness which was a plus! A fun place. read more

I love NEW and DIFFERENT places. Stop in on Saturday afternoon with a friend. We both love craft beers...Steep's IPA was wonderful! I had a huge, hot and tasty pretzel and my friend tried the hummus.
