Everything tasted so good and compared to last year the portions were bigger. My daughter ordered the Vermont omelette and she loved it. Every time we come here it's always packed and busy! But they do a great job of getting you in and out. The food took kinda long to come out but the food was very good! My husband loves coming here! A hidden gem in syracuse in my opinion. I was just driving through and I've been in syracuse before, but this diner was so cute and homey. Lots of locals eat there and seemed like everyone knew everyone. The food was affordable and reasonable. Enjoyed the meal very much. It is your typical american diner food, but still it's hard to come by a good meal with a good price these days. Service was great, plenty of parking, and everything was clean. The home fries are these lovely, flavorful thin sliced potatoes with onions and if you like it really crispy they have crispy hash brown patties to cure any hangover. I'd heard this place was good and as the parking lot is always packed, it's a local hot spot. You'll find a line out the door. When you enter, ask if anyone is waiting to check in and then go to the writing pad at the cashier and add your name plus the number in your party. Please note unless your entire party is present, if they call your name, you'll lose your spot (only fair). Once you're seated, servers are quick to get you drinks while you check out the extensive and affordable menu. We settled on an order of fried clams with a side salad, spicy seafood pasta (special of the day) and fried haddock sandwiches (I love to get American cheese on mine-it's a thing) with fries. The fried clams were surprisingly tender and it was clear they'd been freshly battered in house. The fish sandwich was huge-so perfectly crispy on the outside yet moist inside. The seafood pasta was in a true fra diavolo sauce. It was perfectly spicy and it was clear the sauce was homemade. The amounts of calamari, baby scallops, and shrimp were copious. I order an omelette, "not scrambled egg omelette with everything thrown together and burnt," I just wanted a meat lovers omelette, well this is what I received! We had a doctors appointment at ST.JOES in Syracuse on Wednesday 3-24 we use to go to Stella's often when we were in Syracuse. We were up that way in the summer and the food was terrible but we had always liked it so we went back on Wednesday the 3 of us all ordered the hot roast beef sandwich, mashed potatoes, and corn came with it. The hot roast beef was not even warm, the potatoes tasted sour and the corn was like cow corn. We could not eat it is has not gotten any better since we were there in the summer hot roast beef is supposed to be hot like it says and that wasn't even warm. I don't know what happened to this place we always loved it and when picking up family at the airport we would take them there as it was outstanding food. We will never go back to that place it is the worst food I have ever gotten at a restaurant we were going to go to Olivia Garden but we all wanted to go there but a big mistake. We go often on Saturday mornings when it's busy today we went in party of six so it took a little while to see us instead of moving tables together they waited for a six top booth to open so we waited, our drinks waitress came over not happy at all, but she came over and asked what we want to eat. We all place our order. We didn't see her again until the food started coming out. My pancake was cold. I asked him to get a new one they microwaved it And gave it back to me so again and I asked them for a new one this time it worked my daughter had a hair and her potatoes.
