This isn't the best deal for me because I'm an avid water drinker, but if you normally get a soft drink, juice, or coffee then this will save you a couple of bucks. I asked what type of juices they have, since I couldn't find it anywhere on the menu, and learned that they serve orange juice, pineapple juice, and cranberry juice. What, no apple? This is definitely an odd combination of juices. I got the pineapple juice and it tasted like...pineapple juice. Eh, I love redeeming coupons so I'm happy. For lunch on a Friday, this restaurant is definitely the busiest in Gulfport. I didn't go inside since for once Florida was having a not steaming hot day so we could sit outside. Almost all the seats outside were taken at 11:30 a.m. That's how you know the food is good! After reading most of the Elite Yelpers reviews of this place, I decided to go with the Corn Beef and Hash since both Ash S. and Christopher S. tried it and liked it (thanks you guys!) It was a stellar choice. I got my eggs sunny side up (I legitimately freeze every time someone asks me how I want my eggs and order it that way. Does anyone else have this problem? It's like I forgot what other ways you can cook an egg). They were cooked perfectly. I got cinnamon raisin toast and it was supremely buttered - yum! The homemade corn beef and hash was delicious. You can now say that three Elites recommend that dish! Service was great and we had a very enjoyable leisurely lunch. This is by far one of my favorite places in Saint Pete and a must go place for humans & puppers. During the half week my fiancé & I were in the area with our Pupper, we went twice. During which, I can't think of a single thing negative. My favorite thing as strange as it sounds was the fried green pickles or the fact they have bagels and lox. Two things which are hard to find, but highly sought after. For puppers, they had a whole menu! How cool is that?!? Which my pupper went crazy for. Plus, they always brought out water for her. This was a nice little breakfast and lunch spot along one of the main boulevards. There is inside and plenty of outdoor seating in the courtyard and patio areas. We chose to sit outside and people watch, since there was a street festival going on right there. I had a corned beef hash with some fried eggs, and my daughter enjoyed some huge chocolate chip pancakes with cinnamon butter. Everything was good, and we had pleasant service as well! I would definitely go again. And so we did! We returned again this morning, and today I enjoyed a few Bloody Mary's, to go along with my daughter's French Toast, and I had an Omelette with bacon, cheddar, and Chorizo. Almost immediately after they dropped the food off, someone must have realized they ran the wrong omelette to the table, so they checked on me and brought me the correct one. I didn't even have a chance to take a bite yet! The owner/manager immediately came to the table and apologized, and when the check came, I noticed I wasn't charged for the meal. That was totally unexpected and I certainly did not ask them to do that. Just goes to show how this restaurant values their customers satisfaction. Our Gulfport adventures continue! This Sunday for brunch we came out to Stella's. It's a Creative Loafing Best of the Bay winner), but it was new to me, so I was excited to give it a try. Stella's sits on the main drag through downtown Gulfport, and as with all the other beach town boutiques and cafes on that stretch, they're reliant on street parking. We arrived just after 10, which is around peak brunch time, so all parking in front of the restaurant was taken, but with all the other shops nearby still closed, parking on the next block was readily available. We were seated at an outside table after a short wait - for those not familiar with Gulfport, every drinking and dining venue there has outside seating and on good weather days those tables are always in demand. Our server, Rachel, was new, but she was very bright, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Mel and I were with her folks celebrating their 44th anniversary, so we started with a flight of mimosas and a round of Spicy Bacon Bloody Marys. Can't speak to the mimosas, but their Spicy Bloody Mary was delicious - balanced flavor, garnished with multiple strips of bacon, a pickle spear, and a slice of fresh jalapeño. Doesn't even need Tabasco- the subtle heat builds with each sip, so be careful! Speaking of sips, quick note: Stella's is entirely straw-free - they don't even provide paper ones. Personally, I have no issue with this - I'll happily sip my drink more carefully to keep more plastic out of our landfills and oceans - but if it is for you, you have been forewarned. For my meal, I ordered the Gulfport Beach Lox Platter, which for South Floridians like me was a staple back home but is relatively rare in the Bay Area. Nova lox, sliced tomatoes, red onion, and capers served with an everything bagel and cream cheese. To date, the only other place I can find this particular breakfast favorite of mine around Tampa Bay is Einstein's Bagels, and I enjoyed Stella's version much more! I should also mention the Fried Green Tomato Benedict that both Mel and her mom ordered, since I ended up finishing one of them off! Perfectly presented, delicious homemade hollandaise, and lightly battered fried green tomatoes - it's one of Stella's signature dishes and deservedly so. So yes, Stella's lives up to the hype - if you're looking for a great brunch spot, keep this one in mind! read more

Wow it was pretty awesome. I like to try places only open for short periods I think they put more effort into it. So be aware they were open till 2pm the day we came. Got there about 11 and had a 40 minute wait. Food was good, would def come back and try different items. I had the crab Benedict. We had a Bloody Mary flight which was awesome to try the different flavors. We grabbed a full spicy bacon and Asian Bloody Mary. Loved the wasabi, you don't get that everywhere. I would come back just for that. Haha. To top it off they had a little dog menu, we were sitting outside and eventually Two other couples came with their dogs and everyone had a good ol time. To the point: Two small portion benedicts and two alcohol drinks for $51 before tip, with that typical 20% makes it over 60 bucks. That's a little steep for a very average breakfast that you could literally get anywhere. Reasoning: My gf and I tried this place for the first time this morning and unfortunately probably won't go back. She got the Lox Benedict which is a signature dish of theirs I guess but it hardly had any lox and the hashbrowns were definitely nothing special. I had the Ham Steak Benedict and the ham on each muffin was smaller than the actual muffin unlike a lot of the pictures I've seen. I'd say each ham slice was slightly bigger than a half-dollar coin. Side of cheesy grits were just ok. Idk maybe we ordered the wrong thing, went on a bad day, shortstaffed kitchen...things happen. The drinks are what probably turned us off from future visits. We both had their "large" options which are really just the typical size you'd get elsewhere, like a beer pint glass. Anyways, she got a Mexican Bloody Mary which is just a regular bloody with a single slice of jalapeño so not very Mexican imo. I had the Paloma which was average. No prices on the drink menu so I should've known, red flag, my fault for not asking but each drink was $10. That's more expensive than DTSP for any house/well liquor cocktails, especially when it's served in a chipped plastic pizza-buffet type glass...cmon. Try a little harder. We really wanted to like it but was just too much money for what you get. Too many other good places to choose from to come back, honestly. My advice is to head over to Kissin Cussins for twice the portions and 10x the quality. At the very least, go only for the food (not the benedicts) and a hard pass on their drinks. Service was quick, friendly, and has a neat vibe which is why it's not a 2 star. read more

Came here for breakfast today (7/25/21) There was no wait and we were seated right away. As soon as we sat down the waiter told us he may be a little slow because they were short someone. The person had cut themselves and had to leave. We told him that was fine, we weren't in a rush or anything. We ordered orange juice and an unsweetened tea. He came back and we ordered food I ordered the breakfast sandwich- fried egg with bacon and cheese on an English muffin with cheese grits on the side. Full disclosure- I've never had grits before. I'm not from the south and know nothing about grits. They could have been great grits, but I thought it tasted like gritty flavorless paste. My husband ordered 2 eggs over medium, home fries, toast and bacon. He also got 1 pancake. The food came rather quickly! My sandwich was awful! The English muffin was barely toasted. The bacon was soggy and limp and tasted like it was old and microwaved. The grits were also awful- they had no flavor. I added butter, salt and pepper and that just made it worse. My husband will eat anything. Even if it's not good, he will not waste food. He couldn't eat his food. His bacon was worse than mine. His potatoes were burnt and black and awful. The toast tasted like it had been toasted hours ago and left to sit. The pancake was also terrible. And I have no idea how anyone can mess up a pancake. We left 3/4 of our food and joked and said let's get Dunkin for breakfast. The only good part about my breakfast was the orange juice. Maybe it was an off day for them, but we won't ever go back. My family and I bike to your restaurant every Sunday for breakfast. We bring our 8 year old and his baby sister with us. This weekend, I waited in line for the restroom behind 3 men, and once it was my turn, I entered the unisex bathroom with my baby to change her soiled diaper, only to find that my long wait was for nothing. There is no changing table in your bathroom. I asked my server- who apologized and said there was no changing table on the premise. My option was to change my daughter on our table (in front of other diners) or find a discrete place where I could accomplish this- I ended up behind your restaurant on the ground by the trash cans changing my baby's poopy diaper. Is this fair to her or to me?! Is this where you would want to change your baby?!? I notice you make sure to have water bowls for the fur babies- and you promote yourself as a family establishment, but you offer nothing to help aid in the general care of our children?! What is someone supposed to do?!? I was appalled that in 2021, there is no changing table on site for your patrons. Shame on you! Stella's you need to do better. I can't believe no one has brought this huge over site to your attention. Please install a changing table in your facilities!! I should also add- my husbands dish came out with the wrong eggs, and buttered toast when he asked for it dry. And the server took forever to check on us, and refill my coffee. I don't know why Stella's has so many high ratings. I've been here 4-5 times and the food is mediocre consistently. Which is surprising because the menu looks great. This past Sunday on my most recent visit, I ordered the Florentine Benedict. The eggs and hollandaise were fine but they lost me with the literal leaves of spinach and a slice of tomato. I guess that's the "fresh" spinach stated on the menu. Just have never seen a Florentine Benedict with uncooked spinach. That's gonna be a no for me, dog. Speaking of dogs, maybe that's why folks rate it highly. It's super dog friendly, which I love, but the food is underwhelming. I'm not sure how I miss this place! I've walked by multiple times and not paid​ any attention to the tables outside. I popped in yesterday for lunch, it was a bit cool outside so I asked to be seated inside and got the last seat at the counter. I was really surprised how crowded they were on a weekday. Until I got my food! The host and servers are super friendly and attentive. I ordered the Ro Ro Rueben ($9.95) I figured it would be your average Rueben​ sliced corned beef, Swiss, kraut and 1000 island....boy was I WRONG! The marble rye was perfect, thick cut, lightly​ buttered without being greasy and nice and crisp. It had just the right amount of Swiss cheese to make it​ gooey, enough 100 island dressing to keep it moist and the sauerkraut wan;t too wet or overpowering. The corned beef was absolutely the star of the show. I expected slices and stacked and not much of it. What I actually got was big, thick CHUNKS. They were tender, moist, flavorful and there was plenty there. It came with a pile of hand-cut​t fries that were hot and crisp. I think my only criticism of anything was that I wished they had seasoned the fries right out of the fryer, ​so it sticks. We checked out Stella's while visiting St Petersburg. There wasn't any outside seating available so we ended up sitting inside. It was cozy, but warm, thankfully we were sitting near a fan. I had the Fried Green Tomato Benedict with hash browns. The poached eggs were perfect, fried green tomatoes were delicious and the spicy aioli was a nice touch. I didn't care for the hash browns. They could have cooked a little longer and needed seasoning. My husband had the County Fried Steak. He loved it, only complaint was the toast was cold and only one piece was buttered, strange. Wow! What a wonderful experience at Stella's! We are so appreciative to have such a knowledgeable server with so much experience. We were greeted immediately and provided with information about the menu. Alice checked in with us often and provided excellent service. If you're looking up this restaurant it's probably because someone told you to go here. Everyone tells everyone to go here and I'm not gonna be much different. Location is great. Food is great. Staff is great. Prices are what they are but totally worth it. The simple breakfast is exactly what you would expect. The Reuben sandwich is deli ISO's but not as "stacked" as one would hope. (Jewish deli style it is not.) the French toast was freaking phenomenal. Did I order all these? During the same visit? Yes. Yes. Did I clear my plate? Yes. Do I have an unhealthy association with food? Maybe but that does not distract from the fact that everything about Stella's is fantastic! Google doesn't allow a 4.9 so I had to go 4 stars because as a teacher once told me, there's always room for improvement. We stumbled upon Stella's by accident and we are SO happy that we did! What an amazing group of individuals that work there! I got tired watching them buzz around I swear they never stopped! Stella's is a fun Gulfport spot, but today we were disappointed. They were very busy, especially for a hot Sunday morning, but they have umbrellas at every table and floor fans blowing as well so the heat was tolerable. Our server seemed competent but after we got our food he didn't check in often enough. We had to ask another server for sour cream to tone down the extra spicy black bean cakes that my mother in law ordered. She wished he had told her they were spicy, but the menu showed that they came with verde sauce. We also had to ask for a tea refill and more ice for our water ( but is was nice to have a carafe of water at the table). I ordered a special that was a caprese quiche (sounds good right?!) that was just too watery and had no taste. My husband said his omelette was not great either. Our daughter ordered eggs Benedict and seemed to enjoy it and my sister had bagels and locks which looked fresh and well plated. My husband says he wouldn't want to go back.
