We arrived early to St. Pete's for vacation and couldn't check into our hotel yet, so looked for a spot for breakfast. Stella's did not disappoint! We were seated immediately. The restaurant was busy. We grabbed our usual seat at the bar inside. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have plenty of seating inside and out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were waited on right away by Cathy, and she was awesome. She checked on us frequently and was great. We started with their 16 oz mimosa and tried an appetizer of pierogies. They were delicious. Then we ordered the simple breakfast. Eggs, bacon/ham, hash browns/grits, sour dough toast/biscuit & gravy. everything was cooked to order, hot & delicious!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great atmosphere, great service, and great food!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great experience for our first stop on vacation!! Street parking available.

Can never decide when I know I'm not coming back. The biscuits and gravy looked promising for breakfast but I already had that and I'm way over any sad calories budget I had. Don't wanna order Mexican food in the South where it's not the specialty and even though the hangover burger looked cool I ended up with the Deep South burger. They said this place is known for fried green tomatoes. As you can see this burger can't be eaten like a regular burger so I just had pieces. And today I learned I do not like fried green tomatoes so there's that part. But it's solid otherwise and fries are great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As far as the venue goes. Overall this area is definitely uh. Liberal. Very clearly. Like a version of Newport Beach that West Hollywood took over, is the best I can compare it to. Its pretty and very obviously well off. Just came here to sight see and this street is the one to do it on apparently.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Stella's has been our go-to breakfast spot in St. Pete for years! Their menu offers something for everyone, from simple egg dishes to more elaborate options, and they serve both breakfast and lunch. We usually order the two-egg breakfast, which comes with your choice of meat, potatoes or tomatoes, and toast. Everything is always cooked to perfection and served quickly, no matter how busy they are. Plus, the prices can't be beat! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Stella's is also very dog-friendly, with about 95% of their seating outdoors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]In the summer, I recommend wearing light, breathable clothing--it can get hot despite the ample shade and fans.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're in Gulfport or St. Pete and looking for a new breakfast spot, Stella's is absolutely worth a visit!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Quite a neat place plenty of outside seating which works well as long as the weather holds.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Never checked if they have actual indoor dining. Staff is friendly and attentive and it has a large menu and large drink (alcohol) availability. Food was served really fast and it was hot and done really well.

Stopped in for brunch at Stella's while visiting Gulfport, an eclectic little artist town with tons of charm. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was pretty busy (unsurprising for a weekend), but I was lucky to snag a quick indoor table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Major win, because it was hot AF outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I went with the Chicken Fried Steak with a side of fruit. The chicken was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and surprisingly moist inside. The fruit salad was a standout: fresh, full of berries and pineapple, none of that filler melon nonsense. Love that. My eggs were a little rubbery, which knocked it down a notch for me, but overall still satisfying. Also tried the Spanish Omelette with chorizo. Solid flavor, and it came with a side of fresh cinnamon raisin bread. The bread had great potential but was served dry with no butter or jelly I would've loved just a little something to bring it to life. Service was top notch. Our waitress was super friendly and genuinely warm, which really made the experience feel personal despite the busy pace. Would definitely come back next time I'm in town, just maybe ask for jelly ahead of time.

Grabbed Stella's last week for a quick lunch and I was super impressed. I absolutely love a good smashburger and Stella's delivered. The bun was soft, the cheese was creamy and the burger patty was just the right amount of salty, peppery and greasy- YUM! Gulfport is one of my favorite places in the Tampa Bay Area, it's relaxing and the vibes are always so positive, and places like Stella reinforce that. Our service was casual, friendly and swift. 10/10 recommend!

Mixed review. Beautiful day, we sat at one of many umbrella tables. Nice live acoustic music. Server brought drinks, spilled on my partner's leg, took our order and we never saw her again. Food delivered to us from kitchen staff. No napkins, drink refills, condiments - never came with the check. Had to walk around to find someone to pay. Here's the thing, though. The Fried Green Tomatoes are amazing perfection. Crispy on the outside, thick green tomato slabs, seasoned & fried beautifully. Smash burger pretty Good too. Skip the chicken tenders. Positives: Yummy food (pancakes with to die for cinnamon butter, omelettes, hashbrowns with a perfect crisp level), short wait to be seated & can accommodate parties of 6 no problem. Great patio that's dog friendly and open, and a cocktail menu with variety to choose from. Extra Perk: They had a kids menu! Downside: We were missing one part of an order that never got put in by the server, and at the end of the meal the tab given was correct, but I ended up paying for someone else's meal. We had to call the server back to have the transaction voided and then re-pay for the meal. Note: there is only one restroom for patrons so the line is out the door and down the ramp... plan accordingly if you have to use the bathroom!

I'm so happy I tried this gem! It's on a little strip that I think must be "downtown" Gulfport. It's next to Stetson law school's campus. There is outdoor seating, bar seating and a few tables inside. I opted for inside. I asked a gal near me if she knew the WiFi password and she said "I should probably know that since I'm the owner." Then she promptly asked a gentleman who know. All of the staff was super friendly. I ordered a "Stella's Favorite" the homemade corned beef hash. It was interestingly made into a latke potato and beef hash kind of thing- unique. I devoured it so I didn't take a picture in time. But I did include a picture from their website I got the cinnamon raisin toast with their homemade cinnamon butter and it was quite enjoyable. I'll be back! I absolutely must try their fried green tomatoes. Highly recommend for brunch or lunch!

Visiting from out of state, was recommended this place for breakfast/brunch. It's situated in an eccentric part of town; cute local bars and shops up and down the street. Showed up at 9am on a Sunday, no wait. It's stupid hot and humid in this town (and not being used to such sweat inducing climate), so asked for a table indoors. It does have cute patio seating for the sauna seeking crowd. Ordered a coffee, fried green tomatoes, and the crab cake benny. Fried green tomatoes were delicious!!! The benny came with a side of hash browns and they were perfectly just enough crispy! The eggs were poached beautifully, the crab cake was just "eh." My wife had the shrimp and grits and they were great! Our table neighbors had a flight of mimosas that looked refreshing! read more

Stopped in on a chilly Monday morning for breakfast since we were off from work. We are local but hadn't eaten here in quite some time since there's usually a long wait on the weekends. There was no wait and we had opted to sit outside but staff had trouble firing up the patio heaters so we moved inside. I was so excited to see the vegan options on the menu as I had always struggled to find something to order since I don't eat eggs, meat or dairy. I ordered a coffee only to find out there was no plant based creamer or even fake dairy free. Coffee was too strong for my liking and with nothing to cut it, I abandoned it. (Waiter shared he's been trying to get a plant based milk in house for a while but to no avail. Barb, if you're reading this, PLEASE a simple half gallon of almond milk on hand would suffice). I ordered the vegan avocado toast with hash browns and was not impressed. Eggs had no flavor and seemed rubbery. I pushed eggs aside and ate the tomato, avocado & toast. Hash browns were cold when served. I had high hopes but was disappointed. Service was personable and fast. We like to support our local merchants so we will return, but will know what not to order on our next visit. I'm hopeful by then a plant based coffee creamer will be available to go with the vegan entree options. read more

I want to love Stella's because it's local and was the only breakfast place in walking distance (until Isabelle's across the street started serving brunch!). Love that they offer eggs Benedict but would love a seafood version often seen in seaside towns (Bread (or crabcake) /poached egg/wilted spinach/ high pile of crab or lobster/hollandaise). Nope. Have had the French toast but found it so dry and lacking batter, I sent it back. Pancakes are good Fried green tomatoes are excellent There's no vegan meat or egg dishes at all which is the trend and I'd suggest they get on board No non dairy milk option for your coffee read more

We have come here for years, especially when it was at the previous location. Today was the last time we will ever go. The food is just not that good, pancakes were "warmish", bacon was so chewy it was difficult to eat, Avocado toast is okay, but don't get that it is so great, cheese grits...they say they are known for, I would say they are just not awful. We have consistently had mediocre food at best, st their current location and the ONLY reason we continued to go back is the service and staff. The place is so tiny, be prepared to sit in the heat and rain as all the seating is outside, which is good several months of the year but not today. Staff are super pleasant and sometimes the outside area is Fab. Just not consistent and we are done. Sorry... read more

I think this was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had! I got fried green tomato eggs Benedict. The sauce was a spicy aioli and the fried green tomatoes were perfect. My daughter was in heaven with her fancy donut and my hubby loved his hash and eggs. We sat outside and enjoyed the sights. It was a great meal. read more

First things first: if doggo brunch sounds like a good idea to you, this is your spot. Cute puppers were camped out at every third table or so. It was like free entertainment with my meal. Being dog friendly definitely gets Stella's an extra star. Okay, now that we have that in order... The place: mostly outdoor seating with a few indoor tables. Some of the outdoor seating is shaded, some not. Going for Sunday brunch? Make reservations! We didn't; the wait was an hour. Live and learn. Note: there isn't really a defined waiting area; you're just out on the sidewalk in the sun. This is lovely if its February and 70 degrees. Can't imagine it's much fun in August. Did I mention you *really* want to make a reservation to avoid the wait? Tiny bar station next to the host stand offers up Bloody Marys and the like while you wait. Smart. The service: wonderful. Efficient, friendly, unobtrusive. Our server asked if we wanted separate checks without us having to ask. Even though the restaurant was beyond busy, we received beverages right away, and our food was served in a very reasonable timeframe. I got the sense the restaurant overall is well run. The food: Varied menu, really something for everyone! Southern staples like chicken fried steak, fried green tomatoes, and biscuits & gravy plus standards like omelettes and french toast. Multiple flavors of benedicts including a crab cake benedict, which the table next to us got. It looked *really* good. My companion and I both opted for omelettes with hashbrowns. Generous portions were served hot and tasty. The hashbrowns were very crispy. Here's a quaint ritual: empty small plates are brought to your table ahead of the food. Later, your breakfast is served with the toast layered over the top of it. And so you move your toast from the main plate to the small plate. ...Why? Do they want me to feel more involved in the serving process? To bond with my toast? Is this a new trend? So many questions. Location: the main drag in Gulfport; picturesque beyond words. Cute shops line both sides of the street for ample opportunity to walk off your meal afterwards. Street parking only. You could also boat up; the marina is about two blocks away. Summary: Stella's is recommended. Dog friendly. Note the early 2pm closing time. read more

We loved the feel of the place. The breakfast was outstanding-like real home cooking! Our server, Alice, made us feel as part of the family and gave us great tips to enhance our stay in the area. Kirsten C. was our expert server this last visit. Brian is frequently our server and he's quite proficient at his job! Service is always excellent at Stella's as is the food. Try coming on a weekday as they are very popular on Saturdays & Sundays. Still, well worth the wait! Ask for Kirsten C. (She's a real cutie) or Brian (very handsome). There are a lot of places to eat and drink in this area but what I saw on Yelp from reviews and pics this was the place to go for brunch. Atmosphere: very laid back, it's not that big but is very homey and has a surf shack look which was extremely inviting Food: they specialize in green tomatoes so I got the Benedict with fried green tomatoes which was tasty but the kicker are there brunch drinks. I had a drink called a "Manmosa" blue moon mimosa! Knocked me on my ass LOL!! Customer service: the service was very prompt and our waitress was great! My personal opinion:I would visit this place again! No changes needed! read more

Absolutely quaint little place with awesome service, food and a very trendy ambiance. The Banana Fosters French Toast was incredible. This place is very small with tight quarters on the inside but very open and relaxed outside. We will definitely try them again for lunch. Great date place even though my wife and I have been married for over 24 years it's always fun findIng places like Stella's it reminds us of the many little quaint hideaways we enjoy. They are very pet friendly as well. Great Job guys! read more

Best breakfast in town. Hands down! I really love this place. The staff is super friendly and extremely knowledgeable on the menu. Every time we have family or friends in town our first stop is Stella's for breakfast or brunch. They serve Kahwa coffee which is locally roasted in St. Pete and have reasonably priced mimosas and bloody marys. I often get anything that incorporates their fried green tomatoes. Actually, I believe that I have gotten everything on the menu that features them. My favorite is the FGT Benedict. If you're lucky enough to stop by on a day where they have the lemon ricotta pancakes on special Do. Not. Hesitate. At least order one. read more

First time at the new location. Still able to sit outside but now in a comfortable and more inviting courtyard. The food quality was up their prior high standards. Delicious Lox Benedict garnished with fresh Basil and Capers. Service was friendly and attentive. Minor complaint from a veteran F&B Manager; after the server put down the check for my signature, she failed to remove the dirty plate. A cardinal role in our business is never going to a table without providing a service. Simple but will produce an enhanced gratuity. read more

Such a cute place with great food! Vegan options too! Does get busy so expect a wait but it's worth it- only 4 stars because last time I went I asked for non dairy milk for my coffee and they don't carry any so I went next door and bought a coffee and when I came back a lady I'm not sure if she was a manager or what came and told me that were are no outside food or beverages allowed and I asked what I was supposed to do since I have a dairy allergy. she was very rude and I feel like she could've let one coffee slide since we spent almost $100 there on breakfast. Luckily for them I won't judge on this one bad experience read more

Cute little restaurant. We had breakfast there and right out of the gate they won me over with outdoor seating where you can bring Fido. We left our pup at home but it was nice to know we could bring him and still get a bite to it. We sat inside due to the unseasonably cold day and I immediately noticed their chalk board where they listed drinks. My eyes were drawn to the Bloody Mary flights which had 4 different types and the Mimosa flights, also consisting of 4 different types. We elected to go with the Bloody Mary flight. It consisted of, traditional, spicy bacon, Asian and Italian. They were all very good but my favorite was the Spicy Bacon, I mean, hello?! B-A-C-O-N! I had the one of the specials which was spicy shrimp tacos (if you like spicy, this will not do). Kids had a pancake and a red velvet French toast. The pancake tasted good but it was a bit on the chewy side. The red velvet French toast was basically a red velvet cake roll, sliced and then put on the griddle. I tasted it and really enjoyed it. I'm not sure I could eat an entire slice but highly recommend you order it and share it. The service was great. Everyone was very friendly and they worked as a team. The thoughtful mix of bookshelves, warm lighting, rich browns and deep blues, and the seamless blend of library, bar, and dining space creates a truly special atmosphere, especially if you love books. We visited as part of a large group for a special occasion dinner. They accommodated us on very short notice after our original plans changed due to possible rain and outside seating only at our first reservation, which was impressive. Our waitress was fantastic, she handled our entire table (and others) by herself with no buss person and still managed every order and individual request with genuine care and efficiency. I haven't tried breakfast, lunch, the morning coffee/pastry take-out window, or the bar yet, but the dinner experience was excellent. Fair warning: this is not a budget-friendly spot. If you're watching every dollar or might resent the food due to prices, it's probably not the place for you. It's ideal for special occasions or when you want to enjoy a meal without worrying about the cost, each dish/cocktail is in line with upscale dining in the area,it does add up quickly with drinks, apps, entrees, and sides, though I read they have happy hour. We ordered appetizers (shared), I also had the opportunity to sip a few cocktails (when offered), I also shared entrees, and sides with some of our group. Everything we tried was very good, there were not stand-outs, all was scrumptious, from the start of appetizers: the warm bread with its delicious butter spread, the roasted cauliflower, the spicy crispy shrimp, the Steak Frites, the perfectly cooked French fries, and the sautéed spinach, all of which I had a taste of personally. The portions looked modest on the plates but were surprisingly filling, many of us had leftovers to take home. We finished with the warm cookie and ice cream, which was hands-down amazing, especially with the perfect touch of flaky salt on top. The cocktails were strong and creative. My first choice (suggested by the waitress) wasn't quite to my taste, it was too tart and strong for me, but she immediately removed it from the bill and happily brought me something else I enjoyed much more. The beach bar may not have been part of the sprucing up idk, I didn't see anything worth celebrating. I meant to look at the size of the cocktail cup that we got (small), but $13-14 for a cocktail is highway robbery for the end result. And $18 for 6 wings ($3 a wing) was a little disappointing. I expected better of a Hilton adjoined restaurant. No one part was terrible. It was just the way they matched up - loud, expensive, small portions. If you're loud maybe you're cheap and tasty. If you're expensive, maybe you're fast and delicious. This was all the worst parts of a bar that doesn't care about its patrons' economics. I cried for Help from Yelp. 82 Degrees nailed all 5 criteria. At 6:15pm We were able to make an on-line reservation for three people for 6:30pm. Be careful to only park in spots designated for the restaurant or you will be towed. You can't miss the parking signs because they are plastered on every parking spot. We arrived and were immediately shown to a choice rooftop table just in time to enjoy a fine view of the sunset on the Gulf. After the sun set the bartender asked the diners at the dozen or so tables if they wanted the huge glass windows closed, and since it was starting to get chilly everyone agreed. My niece is very knowledgeable about wine, so she took charge of the wine list. After discussing the (Admittedly small, but well selected) list with the sommelier Laura chose the Iron + Sand Cabernet Sauvignon, a well-regarded, bold red wine from Paso Robles, California (4.8 Stars rating, I looked it up). She must have liked it, because she drank two glasses. Later on, she ordered a Pinot Grigio to go with her entree but I've forgotten the name. She also chose specialty drinks for Rich and I that were tasty and had a nice kick to them, but I don't remember their names either. I would have taken a picture of the drinks menu but my niece wouldn't let go of the list! (Which also meant we couldn't see the prices either, but like the saying goes: If you have to ask, you can't afford it!) It took us a while to study the menu. Just like the wine list, the menu has limited selections but offers excellent choices. It was hard to make a decision! We started off sharing Crab Cakes ($18) and Lobster Bruschetta ($21) appetizers, and we also shared an order of the Lobster Bisque ($15). All three of us agreed that the appetizers were yummy, but the Lobster Bisque was worth the trip all by itself! For my entree I ordered the Wild Caught Snapper with mango pineapple salsa and broccolini ($36) and Truffle Fries ($9). Rich went with the Grouper BLT ($26) and Laura chose the Parmesan Cream Pasta ($26) (Which was why she needed a white wine to go with her entree). Portions did not appear to be large, yet none of us were able to finish our entrees, leaving plenty for Rich and Laura to take home in biodegradable containers for a midnight snack. I'm sorry I wasn't quick enough to get pictures of the entrees. Rich and Laura are not used to snapping pics before digging in, but I can tell you they were all well presented. Even though we were all full, we couldn't resist sharing a slice of: SALTED CARAMEL BUTTERFINGER CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE!!! ($12). Just the name tells you everything you need to know. While Rich and I were dueling with our forks, Laura swooped in and ate most of the dessert, which is totally unfair but is a legitimate female perk so there was nothing we could do.
