Sat down for an early dinner at the comfy outdoor seating area that had some fans mercifully blowing on a recent hot evening. Prices are reasonable, menu is casual, but varied enough. We had the fried pickles (excellent), the fish tacos (sub fries for rice, pretty good), and the classic sausage sandwich with peppers and onions with their house salad, which is a nicely dressed fresh romaine salad with blue cheese dressing. Service was attentive, prompt, anticipatory, and just all around excellent. Great value. read more

My husband and I love going here. Pleasant, good food, good service and good drinks. Today however was not such a good day. As I know they don't take reservations I called first to let them know my girlfriends and I were coming for lunch at 12:30 and was just wondering if they could accommodate us. She said yes. I arrived early and there were very few people and I say to the waitress that we would need two 4 person tables pushed together she said that they couldn't do that. I asked why she said they couldn't ! So we split into two tables and I guess by law no more than 5 at one table. Why didn't the girl on the phone say that when I told her there would be 8 of us? All this past year there have been 6 of us every month and we go to different restaurants in the area and this has never been a problem. It got very busy with only waitress. She did ok considering the amount of people she had to deal with. If I had known I would have gone somewhere else. And it's outside dining. It's time for the state to relax the rules!! Went in for ice cream with friends on a road trip. While our server was very nice, she gave us basically no ice cream. We both asked for two scoops and the end result was more like two bites. I got sprinkles too and it was really only one sprinkle on the ice cream. read more

Nice outdoor seating and open air bar in a former auto garage but Food was subpar (with exception of fries) but ice cream is very good. Ordered a chicken skewer with house salad. The sauce on the chicken (teriaki?) was way too sweet. When I opted for the house salad as a side i thought the server said that it came with o&v, parmesan or blue cheese so i chose the o&v. Turns out the dressing was all of the above combined. That's right, it was an o&v, parmesan AND blue cheese dressing!!! I cant imagine three flavors that could be any worse mixed together. Came through here while I was in town to see my buddy from deployment because he took my girlfriend and I out on the town. We did not eat here so I cannot rate the food, although I have been told their food is delicious. The drinks, however, were on point and the bartenders were quick. I was ordering multiple drinks at a time and they filled the order in minutes, while the bar was busy and stayed consistent the entire time we were there. We were looking for a quick place for a bite to eat and found Stella's Station on Yelp. The atmosphere was really laid back. The food was great and reasonably priced. We had crab cakes which were made from real crab meat and were so good you didn't have to dip in anything. We also had a vege panini which was delicious. read more

I've dined at this restaurant many a time and have always come away with a smile on my face! The food is great and the atmosphere is even better. Servers and owners are very sociable and kind. Stella's brings a little bit of European Cafe life to small town Saugerties. In the summer it's the place to go for a drink or a gelato. They have lots of outdoor cafe seating and also offer a covered patio and bar. I believe it used to be an old automotive repair shop but you'd never know it from looking at the place. I found the staff to be a bit rude and not so friendly, although I did get a banging martini the last time I was there from a cute bartender. It's only open from Memorial day to Labor day and sometimes the bartenders just shut the place down whenever they feel like it. Overall not a bad place to chill on a summer night for a cold drink. read more

Waitress said we could sit anywhere. We sat for 15 minutes,. We were ignored not given any menus or asked if we wanted anything to drink.we sat a table for two that was not bussed yet. When we asked why she did not wait on she said we had drinks, they were empty left by previous customers. She walked by us several time and never acknowledge us. When she went to take an order for customers who came after us we left and confronted her she said you had drinks never apologized or said I will be right with you. read more

Stopped here for a quick bite, in mid summer, after I got my bracelet fixed with my mother and my daughter one afternoon. I was quite pregnant at the time and was craving ridiculous amounts of spicy food. So what do I order... Hot wings and French fries with tons of Blue cheese on the side. I will say this they have a great outdoor seating area. The service was quick. My food was on time with my mothers (chicken caesar salad) and my daughters (chicken fingers). Stopped by to see a local friend and she had suggested Stella's due the outside seating on a beautiful summer day. As soon as we got there, you could see Stella's would be a great place to go. There's outside setting in both the back and the front, biked lined the street. Such a great place to go grab lunch or a quick drink. Food was good quick food, drink prices were low. We were at Stella's Station last Sunday and although we are fond of Saugerties, our lunch experience was terribly disappointing! We sat for 15 minutes while the waitress assigned to our side of the dining g area passed us by 3 times without even looking at us. I saw another waitress and signaled for menus, but instead of giving us the menus, gave it to a couple who just got seated. We really did not understand why that particular waitress chose to ignore us when she served others in her assigned area! We had eaten at Stella several months ago and liked the food, but with such lack of customer service, we would patronize other restaurants in Saugerties before we would go back to Stella's. We did tell the gentleman behind the bar ( we thought perhaps he was the manager ) of our experience and all he could muster was a weak apology. read more

I ate here the other day with my best friend !!! The drinks were great but the food and the service and wait for the food was horrible . When I got back to my best friends house I spent the rest of the night on the toilet ;( it was horrible and so did my best friend !!! We shared our food ;( I would never eat there again !!! If I could give 10 stars I would. Stopped in Saugerties during a weekend excursion. It was a beautiful day out so decided the patio at Stella's was a perfect lunch spot. The food was prepared well and as requested. I had a burger and my daughter had the coconut shrimp and crab cakes. All were delicious. Nice drink assortment too. After getting on the road, my daughter realized she lost her planner/calendar and thought it might have been there. We called, they located it (yay) and the manager Mike, went above and beyond to assist us in getting it back. He not only went on his own time to the post office, he paid the postage (and wouldn't let me reimburse him). A shining example of kindness that extends to the restaurants great customer service. We were looking for a quick bite after a long day. Drove past Stellas and decided to stop in. The service was good. Most of us had soda & without asking, it was automatically refilled. The food on the other hand, TOOK FOREVER! The place wasn't that busy but for a few simple orders (shish kebab & crab cake sandwich) we waited about an hour for the food. Summer nights at Stella's are the best. The outdoor bar/restaurant scene is perfect for Friday and Saturday night fun. Listen to music, enjoy a beer and a burger and watch the town with its open outdoor environment. Their specials are always delicious and the staff is super friendly. When the kitchen closes, the nightlife picks up and you can find people having a drink and playing the juke box. read more

We love this place!!! We come here every time we are in town. It's got a cute little outside bar and covered tables. The service has always been good so let's talk about what we've eaten. This past visit we had the pesto mussels and the vegetable panini. Both were awesome. In previous visits we've had the burgers, fries, salads and wings.. All were very good. It's important to know before reading this that I literally opened a Yelp account just to review this place. 6 stars out of 5! The beauty of living in Brooklyn is escaping to the Hudson Valley and Saugerties is the town to be. Stella's has awesome food (try the grilled fish tacos with mango salsa!) and a welcoming staff. The open air set-up gives you that real "I'm on vacation" feel. If you have such a great time like we did you may find yourself still there as the nightlife approaches- transitioning from family atmosphere and sports on the flat screen tvs to great music and fun locals singing all their favorite songs. Oh, also they have an ice cream parlor attached to the bar/restaurant with locally made Jane's ice cream!! Just go- you'll love it. read more

Phenomenal. Great establishment, owned by great people. Can't wait for them to open next month. Pleasing menu and a great variety of beverages. Owners are amazing, Alex is extremely helpful. Michael is caged in the kitchen most nights, as he is the head chef, but he does crawl out to enjoy an evening of ruckus every now and then. Love those guys. Highly recommend to all. If you just want to sit outside and have a drink- this is the place. But if you're hungry- stay far away. My wife and I just had an inedible mess of a lunch here. What a disappointment. Crab cakes with no flavor other than greasy. Fish tacos made by someone who has obviously never had a fish taco- absolutely a waste of money. Even the salad was lousy. We'll never make that mistake again. We'd have done better with a microwave burrito at Cumberland Farms. Yuck! read more

This is definitely a hangout for locals. Food is fine. At or above average standard pub fare plus some more interesting seafood options. Lots of locals sitting at the bar drinking at 2:00 in the afternoon on a weekday. read more
