Cute, rustic flavor with locally sourced ingredients, Stellina is a great evening treat. The staff are lowkey, but attentive, which is the perfect complement to a casual eatery. The squid pasta was delicious, don't be discouraged by the color! The canola were simple and delicious. The pizza was baked perfectly, with a sweet sauce complimented by herbs and mozzarella. Place a to go order if needed, or get a reservation online, you will not be disappointed if traveling in the DC area.

I've eaten here twice because of the convenience. The pizza crust was over cooked, it would have been amazing if the crust was not burnt. The pasta was spicy, which I did not expect. You get more seafood than pasta, but honestly, the seafood did not taste fresh. I want to try the waffles next. The restaurant is a a cute concept. They sell Italian food and waffles. It is a weird set up because they walk you through one side and have you walk through people eating to take you to the other side of the restaurant to sit, instead of just having the other door accessible. The staff was friendly and my service was quick both times I visited. I love their outdoor seating. There is a 6% gratuity added to all checks, which was surprising to me because I was eating alone and the 6% gratuity was not in place the last time I had eaten here. Overall, it's a convenient place to eat if you are staying nearby.

I ordered take out, got the chitarra di pesce which is the black ink seafood pasta. Tasted ok, nothing special and an hour later i felt less than ideal. Not sure what was wrong but it wasn't great.

Overall was a bit disappointed especially for this place being on the Michelin Guide. The Arancini was good, Brussels I expected to be crispy but they were on the softer side, and the pizza was too cheesy. The pasta was the highlight, I actually thought this was very good! It's a small sit down space and it's casual. Service was quick.

I'm at a conference in the Mt. Vernon neighborhood and what I thought was a dinner reception turned out to be more hors d'oeuvres. It was getting late, I was not up to going back out and I didn't want to eat at a hotel restaurant, preferring to find local spots whenever I can. Pizza is one of my top comfort foods, so I looked for a local delivery and found Stellina on Uber Eats. Oh my, this was the move. Based on other diners' recommendations I went with the Cacio Pepe pizza. It's the Neapolitan dough, perfectly light yet still crispy with a perfect amount of char, that makes this pizza. The cheese is also delicious, high-quality cheese with balls of mozzarella on top. And they did not skimp on the pepper in this Cacio Pepe. Incredibly good. I ordered a San Pellegrino Aranciata Rossa and was intrigued by a menu item under Desserts that said, simply, chocolate hazelnut side for only two dollars. I thought it might be a piece of chocolate but it turned out to be a delectable cup of Nutella dip. I used it to dip the crust of my pizza for an easy, sublime dessert for barely any upcharge. I can't speak to the vibes of this place as I didn't go in person but their website makes it clear they have an outdoor patio for summer which is nice. Service I can rate highly because they had my order ready in an absolute heartbeat. One small bit of feedback I would give is that there weren't any utensils included in my order, and since I'm at a hotel I didn't have any available. I simply tore the pizza which worked fine with this type of crust. The pizza was so delicious though that I can't bring myself to deduct anything in my rating for this.

Amburger The flavors on this burger were amazing. Each one hitting the palette differently and making those taste buds pop! A golden waffle as the buns was killer!! I'm still thinking about this burger. Same owners as the pizza shop, burger is served next door at "The Waffle Shop". House-made chips were made fresh and delicious. Everything was cooked to order which I appreciated. Late night hours too. #CynBitesFeedsMySoulStatusConferred #ThisFeedsMySoul I loved everything about the foodie experience at this place.

I've heard so many great things about Stellina and I was really excited to check it out with some friends. I love Neapolitan style pizza and there's definitely didn't disappoint. We split a Margherita as well as a picante. Beware! the picante definitely packs a punch in terms of spiciness. The margherita was fresh and cheesy... Everything you want a Margherita pizza to be. The service was a little bit all over the place. I ordered a drink that never came, and we had to remind them about things a few times. But they were friendly and working as quickly as possible. The brussels sprouts and the Caprese salad I think were the best things we ate the whole night. The fried calamari was rather disappointing and the tiramisu was nearly inedible , but I'll definitely be back for pizza and Caprese salad.

So light and fluffy. Delicious wood fire pizza. Nice spot to dine in or to go. Mine was to go and it hit the spot. Very nice staff. Welcoming and eager to serve and please.

    Chicken and waffles.

Had the chicken and waffles and both were cooked to perfection. I was there right at 5 pm on a Monday so it was very quiet. The staff were all super nice and friendly. It's a place I would definitely go back if in the area again.

8-28-2025 Looking for breakfast, we stumbled upon the "Waffle House" / Pizzeria. Walking in the vibe was nice and seemed clean. I gave 2 stars because the food was good but the waitress and her girl math was atrocious! I do not recommend this particular place to anyone and if you do choose to go, be cautious of the flies and read your receipt VERY carefully! They cannot charge you tax on a tip and the tip is NEVER required! There are plenty of places to eat in DC that won't rip you off. Unfortunately I had a flight to catch and did not have time to argue.

That month I had started Uber driving, was in this area of DC, had heard good things about Wiseguy, and decided to eat here. Although I don't like paying to park just to simply eat a meal, I sometimes will make an exception for convenience and/or if it's a place I really want to go. But for the most part, I'll go to restaurant where they have free parking or at least I can find free parking near the restaurant. I remembered getting a parking spot very close and feel like I feed the meter like 50 cents in 2014 parking prices for a quick 30 minute meal. They have all kinds of varieties of slices from the standard toppings or just cheese to fancy ones. Although the pizza is fairly thin, but average for New York style pizza. I tried Andy's Pizza 11 years later in 2025, and while it was solid although not as good as Wiseguy, my real complaint with Andy's was that the pizza is very thin, where I was hungry very soon later; so a much worse value as pricing is comparable to Wiseguy. Wiseguy slices are big, and the pizza is top notch New York style. I went to this location a couple of more times after my initial August 2014 visit as I loved the pizza. Then, they opened up other locations. I went to Navy Yard one at least twice, once after a Nationals baseball game after a disappointing loss for my 4th favorite baseball team, Texas Rangers. Sorry Nats fans, but Nats are in my bottom 10 teams. I also went to Rosslyn & Pentagon City location, where parking isn't quite as bad. They even had a Wheaton Mall food court location, which I got to experience once, but they sadly closed. Every experience with Wiseguy has been positive.

We loved the panzanella salad with the creamy burrata. And the tuna tartare was chopped nicely and seasoned well. The standout for us was their pizza though. Mamma mia!! The Drunken love with pepperoni and vodka sauce was to die for. Their pizza is like a mix between NY style and Neapolitan. The crust is crispy and puffy. It took a lot of will power to not eat the whole thing. The pastas fell a little short for us. The alfredo was just ok- not the best flavor. And the pesto was really soupy and a huge portion. Definitely, more Italian American than traditional Italian. We wrapped up the dinner with a cannoli brownie. A fun take on the classic Italian dessert. Overall, a delicious meal! When we first walked in, the cashier immediately apologized for the long wait times, thanked everyone for their patience, and let us know they were incredibly short staffed with only two people working. Because the tiny interior was already packed, we decided to leave and do some sightseeing first. However, seeing how good the pizza looked we knew we had to come back later that afternoon. There's no negative details in my review. Nothing but positive things and a small recommendation. 1. Staff and Service I really appreciated the cashier's honesty about running behind right off the bat. That allowed us to make an informed choice rather than get frustrated by a long wait. More businesses could learn from this! 2. Restaurant's Layout The inside is a bit tight and busy, but it's located in a smaller older building, so they have no other options. Since they can't expand the inside adding an outdoor pub height counter for eating, a bench or some seating out front would be a great way to give waiting patrons a place to sit. Also a place to eat. 3. The Pizza -The Veggie Pizza: My nephew and I both ordered this, and the slices were massive you'll see in my pics! They were honestly the largest slices I have ever seen! I love pizza and have eaten it in New York and Chicago, and my slice here held its own. It was loaded with a huge variety of vegetables. I requested to put mine through the oven twice to get the veggies warm and cooked because I noticed my nephew's slice looked like a warm salad on crust. So happy I did because it was delicious! The jalapeños were intensely spicy which is on me, since I'm a bit of a lightweight with spice! -The Meat Options: My son got the pepperoni and thought it was really good, and my husband got a supreme slice which he also said was good . 4. Price and pizza size- they're more expensive than a typical slice, but once you see those big ole slices in my pics you'll understand why. They can't even fit on a plate. They had to serve them to you in an actual pizza box! After reading my long review you're trying to find out if I would go back huh? Absolutely! If I ever in the area or stay at the Hilton DC again, I would definitely walk right on over and get a slice. You can feed a family of three on one slice! Adult and two small children!
