A Costly Lesson - Avoid This Shop at All Costs!!!! My experience with this business--and specifically the owner, Hank--was by far the worst I've had with any vendor in the U.S. I'm writing this review to warn others before they fall into the same trap I did. Despite the numerous glowing reviews on Yelp, my experience was nothing short of a disaster. If you want a more accurate picture, I suggest checking out the 1-star reviews here and looking up the business on the BBB (Better Business Bureau) website. You'll quickly see I'm not alone. Here's a timeline of my experience. You decide if this is the kind of business you want to trust with your time and money. - 04/19/2025: I met with Hank to discuss replacing the infotainment system in my Lexus. We agreed on a Top Navi unit for $800, including labor. Instead of ordering from Amazon, Hank claimed he could get a better deal ordering directly from the manufacturer. He insisted on full upfront payment via Zelle--about $500-$600 for the part and the rest for labor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Hank seemed friendly, helpful, and trustworthy. That was my mistake.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Based on his demeanor and all the great reviews, I paid him the full $800 via Zelle on the spot. He promised to call me the following week with an update and even gave me his personal cell number to schedule the installation. - [[HIGHLIGHT]]Following week: No contact from Hank. I gave it another week, assuming there might be a shipping delay.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] - [[HIGHLIGHT]]05/01: Still no word. I texted him--no response.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] - [[HIGHLIGHT]]05/06: I followed up again. This time he replied, saying the part had arrived but he wasn't at the shop to check. He'd confirm the next day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] - [[HIGHLIGHT]]05/09: No follow-up from him. I reached out again--no response.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] - 05/14: He finally replied, claiming a missing harness needed to be ordered and would arrive by 05/16. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From there, it was a cycle of excuses: delayed parts, medical issues, ignored messages.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I repeatedly asked for a refund, which Hank agreed to--but once again, he either ignored my messages or came back with more excuses. At this point, I considered it theft. Nothing had been done, and my $800 was gone. 06/09: I filed a complaint with the BBB. 07/31: I filed a complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs - Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR). That's when I learned this shop is not even registered with the BAR, which is a serious violation. Yet somehow, this business is still operating, continuing to take advantage of customers. Even more frustrating, both the BBB and BAR proved ineffective in helping me recover my money. As of today, 10/22/2025--six months later--my car hasn't been touched, and I still haven't received a refund. My next step is Small Claims Court. I intend to recover my full $800 and seek additional damages for the time, stress, and frustration this ordeal has caused. I have included screenshots of the text messages as proof. To anyone reading this: Think twice before doing business here. Don't let the polished storefront and charming demeanor fool you. Learn from my experience or you may be next to lose your money.

If you guys are trying to get scammed for your hard earned money come to Stereo Blvd. Hank the owner will brainwash and hype his shop up but can't back his word up. Only thing he is good at is lying time after time and won't take responsibility and just blame the client for complaining to much, of course I'm gonna complain when my truck was at your shop for 2 months and look how it came out, all you gotta do is look at the pictures, he ruined my interior scratched my trim and truck and won't take responsibility, also caught him lying with my speakers under my windshield I paid for them to be replaced and they weren't replaced, also won't take responsibility, my door panel is got scratched didn't say anything or got me a new one, my whole interior trim was painted black with a spray can it's already peeling off, [[HIGHLIGHT]]when I confronted him his response was that's how paint cures[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], he apparently dynamited the back seat were the amps are to stop the rattling, that wasn't done, that wasn't even the problem causing it, the problem was where the seat hooks on, it has rubber seals which the lost and didn't put back on, a also claimed he couldn't put my stereo in the back position, the manual clearly tells you can, lastly I also did the big 3 and my battery light came on, they claimed it couldn't be taken off, come to find out they wired it all wrong it all wrong, rewired it correctly and light went away, so if you're trying to get scammed of your hard earned money and get lied to, your interior get scratched and ruined, for you to pay for parts and them not install them come to this place, they'll gladly take your money and not give it back when they get caught, pictures don't do any lying! You take pride in your customers so how come you didn't swap out my windshield speakers that you charged me for? How come you didn't tell me you left my truck all scratched. I'm rushing yours techs?last time I checked the receipt and contract we signed said 1 week turn around. It sat there for a month before I took it to Tijuana. I then brought back and it was there for another month where you supposedly repainted which you didnt. Once again lying and trying to blame the customer and not owing up to your fuck ups. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also you only paid for my Uber because I insisted on it you were trying to just give me store credit instead of paying for my Uber that you didn't order I ordered it because you wouldn't respond to my messages and calls, once I told you I ordered all of a sudden you answered my calls and texts.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You never owned up to scratching my truck why are you lying once again, I have the messages so keep lying all you want and play the victim[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], you said "we didn't scratch your truck we use a subwoofer box, when I clearly saw you guys using a step stool (another lie) i didn't tell you right there in there because you didnt return my truck till 9PM when it was all dark, I saw the scratch the next morning, so don't be saying that you offered to fix my scratched up truck because you denied it when I confronted you, I have the messages still, own up to your mistakes and stop blaming me, I never rushed you you had my truck for 2 months

If you need work done, make sure you come here! I got 2 8's, custom box, amp, bass control, and epicenter fully recommend by Hank, the owner. Hank has been the absolute easiest guy to work with, he's very honest, knowledgeable, and will make sure your vehicle gets taken care of. Hank, your representative quoted me $50 for the back after i sent him pictures of the back and side of the truck. i know that there are people out there that charge more and less but if you would have been honest and up front and quoted me $100, i would not have wasted 50 minutes driving there. It sounds like you are making it my fault when your representative was not clear about his quote and should have known to be clear. To be clear, there are shops and "tint specialists" that will do the job for what you originally quoted me and changed once i showed up. read more

5 stars all around! No complaints! I had a speaker that has been sitting in my garage forever & I wanted a place that was reliable & wouldn't rip me off for the installation. Well thanks to yelp I did my search & I got the speaker installed by these guys! Matter of fact they let me come in unexpectedly last minute & got the speaker installed in about an hour. There's a waiting room with a TV too so it's not awkward sitting there. The entrance is a little weird when you're on harbor & turning but if you go past the door to the service area they will see you & help you out! Not sure why there are negative reviews? I simply googled smaller family owned businesses who I could get work done in my truck. I was able to walk in without an appointment, get all the door speakers replaced in my 4 runner, and a rear camera installed the same afternoon for a fair price. Friendly, educated, and I've had no issues with the speakers or camera for about 6 months now. This is why I came back recently got brand new stereo front unit installed with apple play. Once we figured out what I wanted then owner instantly got on the phones got what I needed and installed the same day. Again, no appointment and just like before, no issues. Absolutely the best!!! I had bad experiences in the past with car stereo shops so I avoid if possible, but Stereo Blvd is absolutely the best!!!! I take all my cars there for tint and every time is a fantastic job, Hank the owner is so respectful and really cares for his customers. Especially the repeating customers!!! Update, 8 months later. I was finally financially able to recover from the theft I experienced here, and re-purchase the products I already paid for and have them installed. I knew they did a bad job, but the installer said "where did you take your car? This was a pro shop? It should be shut down. They had no idea what they were doing." I have had nothing but issues with the whole system ever since. It was a hack job from beginning to end. Now that I have the correct gear (and the terrible wiring job corrected), and I have tuned it myself, I wish these guys could hear how awesome it sounds. They should be ashamed. If you are unable to do high-end setups, you should just say so. Committing fraud and stealing people's hard-earned money... Karma will take care of you in the long run. read more

Came to Stereo Blvd to have the windows on my 2014 Challenger tinted. Not only am i happy with the quality of work that was done but customer service was seriously the best. I spoke to Hank and he was very honest about pricing and the time it would take to get the job done. All the guys at the shop were super friendly and attentive. I left my car feeling confident they would take care of me. Hank can't seem to let this one go, I literally still have issues with the popping sound when I power off, the actual stereo shuts off for no reason while in use CONSTANTLY, and that rear view mirror camera device they upsold me on for $300 is literally in my glove box because it keeps failing me. Since he can't let it go and accept he did me wrong, or apologize at the least, I guess I did the right thing by sharing my experience so others can hopefully be warned. My neighbor Bruno had all the same issues with the popping sound and the need to come back for fixing which he also declared was a complete headache and waste of time/money. Hank, drop the ego and demonstrate professionalism. You are a joke and I regret ever setting foot in your store. I was nice enough to give you a 2 star review and I don't know why. I can add video of my stereo issues if Yelp will allow more than a photo. ***hank, you're service is just as bad as your install. I can't even believe how defensive you are. you are acting like I am a tough to please customer, when all I did was give you $2000 of my hard earned cash and five months later, I still get annoyed every single time this system powers off. not only that but you installed some sort of "volume control" knob below my steering column and didnt even explain to me what it controls, because it literally has no effect on my sound. You are making your self look bad Sir. Keep with the back and forth. the stereo install? $2k. The amount of horrible and continued pain that I suffer every time I hear it power off while in use is priceless. I absolutely regret coming to you and your reaction and pathetic attempt of somehow blaming me is exactly why. YOU CAN SEE IT HERE, FOLKS. GREAT SERVICE, THANKS HANK FOR BEING A PROFESSIONAL CRYBABY. I came here on the recommendation of a friend to fix the poor installation done by a different company. Below are the before and after pics, you can see the dash kit used to install my new stereo with rear view camera does not fit my car. It looks awkward and as though it will fall out at any bump. The guy at the installation place told me that was the right dash kit and rudely dismissed my concern. After one look, the guys at Stereo Blvd saw the problem, went out of their way to find the right kit and now it looks factory installed. Not to mention they installed the rear camera which the other company had told me would cost an additional $150 installation fee plus $150 for the camera - on top of the installation of the stereo and everything I was already paying. These guys suck, second audio place I've been ripped off by. They messed up my steering wheel controls and the back light on the steering wheel and told me to take it to the manufacturer to get it fixed....even though it wasn't broken when i gave it to them. Update/reply: okay hank: so I was charged 900 dollars for 4 speakers,amp, installation, and rewire-my system sounds okay, but I'd say maybe 100 dollars better than my stock system...but I NEEDED a new amp and the better speakers...I was upsold and taken advantage of because I'm younger and have money. I have my buddy fixing your guys' handiwork now, don't worry. read more

Nice people but was a HUGE fucking scam with a shitty job for 350$ got charged 150$ for a china made rubber 4g wire and was promised a flawless job but bot even 2 hours after leaving the shop my audio started to cut out after every little bump on the road. i got it checked our by REAL PROS who know how to work and the fucking wire wasn't even connected to my battery... it was only tapped and was left dangling around on my battery. Also paid 200$ for shitty infinity speakers which i was told was their "best". read more

Recently bought a used car that didn't have keyless entry so i thought I'd look around yelp to get some quotes for one. Stereo Blvd were the first ones to respond and among everyone else was still cheaper by a few dozen dollars. Made an appointment same day and was in and out within an hour. A bit easier on both parties if you bring cash. My 2002 Honda CR-V has a remote keyless entry with a Viper system that works great now. Would recommend to friends and family. Also the waiting room is nice and cold on a hot day. read more

We had a Kenwood double din system installed by Stereo Blvd. They did an amazing job. The system sounds great! Super clean sound with zero distortion. They gave us a great deal on the system and install and got it done fast. We have referred many people to these guys and they've always been happy. BTW We purchased a backup camera from a competitor, which stopped working due to bad install. Stereo Blvd fixed that for us too! Definitely recommend these guys for all car audio needs! read more

Came here based of the yelp reviews. You can trust me when I say you won't go wrong. Pepe and his guys really did a great job. I was here for a backup camera install. I did my own head unit install. However, backup camera required drilling holes, I did not want to drill holes into my car myself. Left it up to the pros. Final result was very clean, everything looked very professional at a reasonable price. I will be coming back for any future stereo work I need done. Recommend them to anyone looking for quality work. read more

Great staff, but CRAZY expensive pricing. Came as a return customer with a blown LED headlight. I didn't have my original receipt so they didn't do anything as a warranty claim, but they offered to sell me new bulbs for $120. A search on Craigslist found the exact same bulbs for $40. I won't be coming back. Thank you for your reply. As I was a returning customer, and had a warranty issue (this is what brought me in again to begin with), it doesn't appear that Stereo Blvd's warranty is much better than the warranty I got from the Craiglist seller that saved me $80 on the exact same bulbs. I'll be sure to save my money and time in the future and not purchase from Stereo Blvd. read more

Got my 4 6 1/2 speakers and 1 subwoofer hooked up to a 5 way amp installed here as well my tint for all 5 windows of my Mustang. I'm going to be honest, it didn't start out perfect for the installation of my sound system. There was difficulties with the wiring and tuning of my car due the model and year of my car and a few hiccups and delays here and there. However, the window tint only took about 2-3 hours and their prices will beat out most competitors. DESPITE the imperfection of the audio installation, Hank was available to make things right. My sound system turned out to sound loud and clean and the window tinting was flawless as it should be. He's readily available on his cell phone and messaging on Yelp and is very easy to talk to. Would not recommend for Tesla car window tinting. On other cars their skill is ok, since my old cars are all done here. But not this new Tesla. Very disappointed. Paid for all around professional tint on my new Tesla and found numerous bubbles after 1st tint and 2nd repairs. Waste my time to keep driving back for repair and they dont allow repair appointments on weekends. Repairs can only be Mon or Tue. That's ridiculous. read more

If i could give them a zero, I would. They don't know what they are doing and only want you for your money. Don't let them sweet talk you into anything, they will promise you everything and you will get nothing. Don't come here at all. Save your money and headache and do not come here. They told me they could do my rims and it took them a week when a different place would only take less than an hour. They definitely will rip you off with price too. read more

I took it another tire shop for a second opinion, and they also confirmed there were no issues. 1 star for wasting two days of my time -- one day at 714 and another for making me drive out to Sensei6 in West Covina -- only to be told by them and another tire shop that there was no issue.

Gavin gave me two options initially, and I chose the second option replacing front right light with a used light and repairing the fender. Long story short, repairing the fender (making a bracket and welding) was done in same day, but due to ordering the wrong light twice and/or his incompetence dealing with tesla light programming, it took 1 week and 2 days to get my car back with me getting and delivering him the used light with matching part number myself. He kept blaming on the wrong used light that he ordered and kept being rude, whining to me about his time and money lost working on my car, telling me he is doing me a favor when it was his incompetence in ordering the right part or programming tesla light the whole time. I got sick and tired of hearing this BS (felt like he was a customer complaining) so much that I decided to not come back anymore and will go to a different PDR shop in the future. At one point, he requested I need to make an appointment at tesla so he can bring his car there. Second used light he ordered is "DOT 1077372-00-K", and my original light is "DOT 1077372-00-L". According to tesla and from my research, both lights are compatible, but he could not figure it out and at the end, he told me he needs exactly the same part which according to his words, he took a whole lot of time calling and searching for it. It took me 10 min to find whole bunch of them used and took me 30 min to locate the one that I can pick up locally (1hr 30min away) that worked after 5 min after I brought it to him. I wish he just told me the part number in the beginning, and I ordered it myself as if I did it, it'd be done in one day without all of his whining. His final bill was about $240 higher than the estimate as he added tech bill for $240 (he called tesla tech at one point that didn't go anywhere). After I came home, I also noticed one bolt with a washer below my wipers that he is not replying to me if it's from my car and noticed the upper tub under the hood was not clicked in properly. I was very frustrated, but I still was not going to leave a bad review for him considering my past experience, but as soon as I noticed he is ignoring my texts about the bolt, that was it. I won't go back even regarding this bolt that I have no idea where it came from. He never apologized to me even once during this whole time. His attitude was the opposite. Not sure what changed him.

In the end, that was not how it worked. Their used tire replacement process meant they kept my original tire and gave me another used tire in exchange. So it did not really feel like I was simply buying a used tire for $60. It felt more like I was trading in my old tire, which did not even have a hole that obvious to me, and still paying $60 on top of that. I was unfortunately late by 30 minutes, so I waited for two people (I think they both had alignments too?). However I was out by 90 minutes from start to finish. I think they spent about 30 minutes or less on my car which is pretty fast from my experience. They didn't scratch the rims (19 inch staggered wheels like rear 255/35R19) They used torque wrenches. Tires are well balanced using hunter road force balancer and I didn't notice any wobbling or roaring. I'll be back and on time for my other cars :)

Avoid this place! They talk to you like your best friend but when the expensive equipment doesn't work they get very rude! My son got a stereo and lights installed a few months back, when he went back a few weeks after to let them know the stereo wasn't working they were very rude asking him to come back the following day. My son said he couldn't return that he needed them to fix it right away the staff completely ignored my son having him Wait for more that an hour. When they finally got to his car they left wires hanging out and scratches on his dash. Overall the pricing and customer service of this place is ridiculous! He ended taking the car to Best Buy where the guys where able to fix all the stuff and made us realize what of an amateur job those guys performed. Please avoid this place! Best shop in town hands down.. cant beat the quality nor the prices. Anyone that knows quality work knows this is the place to come.. the best part about it, they work with you. They will will always give you the best bang for your buck.. you will never find a shop where you come in looking like a stranger and leave feeling like family. What I loved more about this place, is that they are the only shop that carry high quality audio like sundown and illusion. If you know sounds, you know these are not your average kicker cvr systems. If you want to be heard loud and crispy, then this is the shop for you.. Hank, Hugo, Pepe and Shorty will make it worth your while and make sure you leave happy and with a smile on your face... my car came out looking like a new animal in less than a day! Their service was great. They gave me a really fair price on all equipment and on the install. I was hesitant to remove my navigation but they made the new deck look so clean. I am glad I went with their recommendation, they really knew what they were talking about. They EQ'd my system and deck to the type of sound that I was looking for and they were more than helpful a couple days after the install when I had questions. I would highly recommend them, I was really impressed, not only with their quality workmanship but also with their people providing me with excellent customer service, especially little Joe and Pepe. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME GOING ANYWHERE ELSE! Me and my brother George have been coming to the owner, Hank for years long before he opened his own shop. Always gives the best price and never pressures you. I wouldn't recommend going anywhere else but here. I just recently got a system installed on my car and there was very minor electrical issue during the installation (shit happens were only human) Hank didn't even blink, took full responsibility and had it repaired the same day. Any other ghetto shop would of played stupid but not my boy, dude is a straight shooter. Best prices and service don't make the mistake of going anywhere else! read more

Worst place ever Hank the owner promised me a bunch of upgrades on my tahoe, I wanted a system that bumped louder than you can put up with. Promised me a lot of stuff I said great paid 6500 for all and after 4 weeks of having my tahoe system is not what was promised to me. After reaching out to him numerous times he refused to fix and or to return some of the cash Don't let this THIEF take your hard worked money guys go else were. I have all the text messages and receipts just in case you don't believe me. He gets over on people always saying that he has tons of work by showing them old receipts hung up on his wall. Great Shop, Fantastic work truly 100% professional. Came in looking for a subwoofer. Hank and his team helped me out more than I could've asked for. Erick the installer did a super clean job on the install. Hugo great sales rep. courteous, and a pro. Prices and rates are all hyper competitive definitely worth going in and seeing how they can solve your issue. I will be going back for speaker replacement on my infinity kappas 6x9. Only drawback is the tunning of my subs, tuned to the point I'm getting engine noise through my speakers and the subs are slappin a bit excessively. Other than that I recommend the shop. read more

Had an alarm installed. Friendly staff but didn't tell me what I was getting for online yelp quote. Was told their credit card machine wasn't working so had to pay with cash which made it a little inconvenient. Left vehicle and picked it up when it was ready, same day install and pick up which I liked. Excited to see the new alarm, turns out product is working out great so far. Little disappointed when I got home to find out vehicle hood wasn't closed all the way along with leftover wire trimmings and razor blade left on drivers side floor. Can do better a job with clean up after installation. read more

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE...and that's putting it mildly!!! Hank (owner), Pepe and Joe were great from the beginning of our search to the end of our finished product...they all go above and beyond their call of duty to accomodate your needs and work with you according to your budget...they have a plethora of rim and audio selections to suit anyone's taste...their waiting room makes you feel like your right at home...we drove from Pasadena to Santa Ana for their A+ service and will do it again...I recommend them to anyone looking for the ultimate customer service experience!!! I called Pepe and told him I needed help clearing my bluetooth in my BMW so that I could pair my new phone. He said come on down and we'll do it for free. His helpers had me out of there in five minutes. The man with staples in his hand- he fights pit bulls in his spare time, was from Brazil so don't speak Spanish to him, just Portugese or English-anyway he cut to the quick in a heartbeat and had me all fixed up with my Iphone paired. Awesome customer service. These guys are one stop shopping for all your needs as far as electronics go in your vehicle. Thanks Pepe and Brazil man! read more

Highly recommend this store. StereoBlvd is nice and A clean shop and carry high quality brands from car audio to wheels and tires. These guys have it all . One stop shop and been coming here for the last 6 months with all my cars and have never been disappointed with my purchases. I was told by a friend that he had gotten a new system for his truck when i heard what he had i couldnt wait so i had to check it out . I showed up to the shop an seen q shop that carries nothing but the best. When i was told that they where the only IN STORE AUTHORIZED DEALER TO SELL #DCAUDIOBAND SUNDOWN AUDIO i knew i was im the right shop my boy hank didnt stop till he was happy with what was comming out of my car .... i am very happy with the end result ... if u guys need a real shop that sells u what YOU what not what they want this is the place to go you wont regret it read more

I'd have to say this place was a great stop! the hospitality was great! And I'm coming from Texas he made me feel like family . But I was window shopping for some rims and tires he asked what I had to spend, he made a few phone calls and got me what I wanted. I have been here multiple times, always satisfied. Great deals with low pricing and they work with you every step of the way. No matter what you are looking for from rims ,tires ,mufflers ,stereo systems ,alarm systems , headlights/hid and lots more, they have it all. I finally decided to get a new set of tires, wheels also while i was at it...i called around just to test the waters on pricing on the specific set of wheels and tires i was looking for, but sure enough Stereo Blvd had them beat, the savings were between $100-$500. I am a repeate customer but still like most consumer i will shop around for the lower price and hank definitely has the game beat on Audio and wheels/Tires..I Got from him a set of Rotiform BLQ 20x8.5 and 20x10 wrapped with some Nitto Invos.
