Fortunately, I decided to venture down a search into the more local small businesses and came upon this cool old school & quirky shop. I think the gentleman's name was Jim. Older dude that could pass as your nerdy techy friend who's probably collected every tech gadget since the original Tron came out. Told him what I was looking for but I gradually got discouraged as all he was showing me were the bigger style bigger sound units that are common for home systems. But, alas! With a little patience we revealed a new treasure: smaller desk top speakers! Minor speaker mesh stains on the front but super decent with a little TLC. He was super friendly and chill, even making an effort to find parts that could potentially be missing from this set (like compatible power cord). It also came with an amp box that I've got sitting below my desk table, which was a nice surprise (I keep it plugged in for the deeper sounds or just unplugged for more "regular(?)" crispy audio). All that for a really awesome deal; I think it was something like $15-30 or something crazy like that. Good shit, dude! Thank you. If you're looking for small speakers, I probably snagged the last set but I definitely recommend this place for any help with acheiving 2 things at once: reusing/upcycling any sort of old working electronics and supporting a damn good local friendly small business.

Twice the same Hillsboro location gave us the wrong covers. So frustrating. Newberg returned them no problem. We went back a few days later to look at wifi/hotspot options for our new living situation. The salesman was honest with us and our needs. We will definitely be back to this local store for any further needs.

This store has the most horrific customer service. The only other place that ranks at the bottom of…read morethe barrel with them is Xfinity. At all costs, do NOT do business with ATT. Also, if you pay off your recently-deceased mother's iPhone, they refuse to remove the carrier lock. Understanding that corporate is responsible for whatever carrier locks they have in place which also directly violate the FTC's Feb 2024 law changes, no one in the store will even tell you that. They'll tell you to call in and sit in phone tree hell eleven different times until you get someone that will tell you the rules. And as soon as you also say you're moving your dead mom's husband to your plan to save him money, they'll sit down, watch YouTube videos on their phone and won't even talk to you or assist you with assistance on the account you're closing, which is ironic considering you're closing it because your mom died and your parents were severely overpaying for two phone lines and one financed phone. Happened on 10/29 to me. I'll do everything in my power to make sure everyone I know is aware to not do business with ATT (and Xfinity whose Newberg store is equally horrific).

I called to find out why they say that they didn't receive my phone for the for the trade-in and come to find out that I just heard two more people have had the same thing happened to them. They do their trade-in for their phone and Verizon says they never got their phone. Today when I called to find out about that he says well I can fix this for you, you know your payment will be $126 every month. I said fine. Don't change anything on my plan. What did he do? He changed my plan. I'm about ready to go to T-Mobile so frustrated with Verizon. I do not recommend Verizon.

Do **not** rely on appointments at the Verizon store…read more I scheduled an appointment more than two days in advance after visiting the Forest Grove store in person. They implied Newberg had the phones I needed, so I made the appointment and drove there expecting a straightforward pickup and activation. An "appointment" here is not a real appointment. It is only a notice that you are present. There is no priority and no expectation you will be helped anywhere near your scheduled time. I checked in on time and waited over **one hour and fifteen minutes**. At 1:16 pm I was told the technical issue they were handling might be resolved "before the end of the day." Then at 1:28 pm, after all that waiting, staff finally checked and realized the phones available were **128 GB**, not the higher storage needed. The correct model is on backorder with **no ETA**. This was only discovered after the extended wait. At that point it was clear the drive, the appointment, and the time spent waiting were all wasted. While staff were polite, the appointment system, inventory verification, and coordination between stores are fundamentally broken. If Verizon does not intend appointments to function as actual service times, that needs to be made very clear up front.

With that in mind it should have taken no more than 20 minutes for me to get a new phone. The staff today September 25, 2024 was extremely pushy trying to upsell me on everything. I have a limited amount of time that I can spend at the store and they clearly wanted to lose my business by trying to upsell me different phones and extra equipments when I was clear from the beginning with what I wanted. Not only that but after spending almost 40 minutes trying to get a phone I left with no new phone because they told me that I had to go home and turn off find my iPhone there AND on top of that wait another hour at home before they could sell me a new phone. How is this even possible? Horrible experience and lost my business, I will recommend to take the extra drive and go to Sherwood t-mobile.
