Been an Autozone customer for years but recently decided to start shopping at the O'reillys across the street for numerous reasons. Other than the Ford dealership the only other option in town is the Napa which is good for standard parts and tools but they dont seem to carry much of the premium parts I like to use on my ford. Anyways, Ive shopped at this O'reillys a dozen times or so now and all I can say is wow, Ive gotten nothing but excellent service here. I rented a tool a few months ago here and the rental program works great and the highly specialty tool I rented was 20 times more complete then the one i tried to rent at Autozone (didnt rent it because it didnt have the correct bit size). Multiple times this O'reillys has saved me money not because the parts are cheaper, which they are but because the employee at the desk had some other options suggested which I sometimes choose, options are nice arent they? The big dude that works here (big dude not like eats a bunch of burgers big, big like could probably give kimbo slice a run for the money, big) is always nice and helpfull, the dude is friendly and gives his knowledge politely not like a know it all which I seem to see at many other parts places and he seems to know his shit legit, not just a bull shitter. God I could go on and on..... Last part I ordered from them was way overpriced not O'Reillys fault the manufacture just wants too much for this part, anyways, I was recommended an equivalent part which was half the price. I went with the spendy parts because im OCD like that but they were ordered, arrived next day and I was told that if I were to find them elsewhere in town cheaper they would price match. This is the type of customer service I like to see from a store that I will be spending hundreds at in the future, thanks guys keep up the good work! read more

I have a Volkswagon and replacing even small parts is expensive when it comes to labor at a VW shop. Yesterday, I bought a replacement bulb for my front headlight. Chris at the Newberg location was so friendly and personable that I accidentally asked if he might give it a shot. That guy spent a good solid 25 minutes scratching up his hands - but he worked and worked on it, and eventually HE DID IT!!! Saved me lots of $$ and gave me some good laughs along the way. This was the best experience I could hope for given the crappy situation I was in. My battery had just died and my car was jumped so I headed straight to the first auto place I saw. I was immediately assisted by a gentlemen that tested my battery, cleaned off corrosion from it, and helped me in finding the best battery for the lowest cost that he could. This was not the service I was expecting, but would recommend it to anyone that is in need of a battery. This location is in a smaller town and you definitely get that kind of treatment here which was such a breath of fresh air. read more

I recently purchased chains for my Suburban. Chains were required because I was travelling through the mountains for Christmas. Luckily, I didn't need them because there wasn't any snow this year. I was sure to not open the package and keep the receipt so I could return them without hassle. But when I tried to return them, the guy behind the counter refused. He showed me the small print on the receipt that said that chains cannot be returned. I then asked him why didn't they tell me before I bought them... and all he said was "Chains cannot be returned." It appears that the hamster in his mind fell off his wheel. I then asked, "well, why can't chains be returned?" His brilliant response was only "That's our policy." As if that is supposed to answer anything. I then asked "well... WHY is that your POLICY?" His hamster must've sprained a muscle because all he did was repeat "that's just our policy." He clearly isn't getting paid enough to think on this job - his hamster is now on strike. They forgot that there is another auto-parts store across the street that would love to have my business - which they will from now on. read more
