Aaaaaamazing sandwich!! Talk about an authentic Italian sandwich ... I am already missing this sandwich as I write this review. We got the giardiniera sandwich and it was one of the best sandwiches I've eaten. The prosciutto and cheese with the homemade giardiniera was an amazing balance of flavors. For those who don't know what giardiniera is, it's pickled veggies. After having this sand which, I googled a recipe to make giardiniera asap! The bread was perfectly soft and crunchy. I HIGHLY recommend this sandwich if you're considering eating here at Lorenzo. The location is small - space for about 6 people inside and two small tables outside. The service was fine - not bad but not necessarily friendly. I will be back in a heartbeat for this sandwich!

I can see why this place is popular. Handcrafted sandwiches, and probably the most authentic place in Beverly Hills. It's a small sandwich shop, but we were able to find a table, they turnover fast. Both of our sandwiches were very tasty. Great bread.

Honestly, the sandwiches are subpar. Intense truffle flavor but the bread itself was on the drier side. A little bit of sauce or aioli would've done the job. Service was somewhat quick and there are chairs for you to sit in but not a lot

The picture says it all: Absolutely incredible! I have heard so many amazing reviews of this place and finally had the chance to stop by when I was in the area. They have so many sandwich options in the menu I didn't even know where to start. The kind lady at the register was sooo helpful she recommended a few and I ultimately went with the one pictured. I can't remember the exact name but it had fig jam and yellow peppers. She said it was her favorite and I absolutely agree!! On top of the amazing food the workers were amazing! I will definitely be back!

The Lorenzo, a mortadella sandwich with parmesan cream, toasted pistachios, and roasted bell peppers

Lorenzo's is a sensational little shop in a neighborhood where a couple red Ferraris might rush by you as you try to cross the intersection. Their attention to detail and enviable selection of the highest quality ingredients is unrivaled. There are only a few tiny tables inside and on the sidewalk, so you might have to take these treasures to go. With the finest imported meats, you'll want to keep coming back to try the other incredible sandwiches on the giant menu board. The namesake, Lorenzo, is a legendary sandwich with exceptional focaccia that is baked at their bakery. The crust is crispy with a hint of good olive oil, salt, and pepper and a soft airy interior. The layers of mortadella are sliced as thin as the finest silk with a smooth and snappy texture. Parmigiano pate is a rich and sumptuous cream made of Parmigiano cheese, cream, and possibly butter. Mixed with sweet bits of roasted red bell pepper and basil, the flavorful cream is a cool and silky exclamation point to the delicious mortadella. With toasted pistachios, you get sweet and nutty bites. Parking: There's some metered parking out front. There's plenty of parking by the mansions and the rows of tall palm trees.

2/24/2026 FERRAGOSTO Creamy stracciatella, spicy salami, salsa rosa, juicy tomatoes and arugula. Their salsa rosa is a creamy spicy sauce, but it was cool and creamy than spicy. The salsa rosa brought the sandwich together. Really delicious! All of it on their foccacia bread. Their foccacia bread is slightly chewy and crispy. It was dry and difficult to bite into when made into a sandwich. I felt my teeth fighting with the bread in some areas. It is not the perfect foccacia bread nor the type of foccacia bread I am used to, but the sandwich fillings more than make up for it. If you are saving the sandwich for the next day, after a few hours, the bread was getting soggy from the fresh tomatoes and salsa rosa. So I ate it all on the same day. I enjoyed this sandwich and would get it again. However, if I had to pick between this sandwich and the Rafaello, I would get the Rafaello. RAFAELLO Many layers of mortadella, sweet fig jam, crispy onions, spicy pepperoncini, creamy stracciatella cheese. Unique combo that is sweet and spicy! I was hesitant about getting this after it was recommended to me by the person taking my order. But so happy that I got it! The incredients were different than the other sandwiches and I knew I had to try it! The crispy onions tasted like roasted garlic with a lemony and citrus peel flavor. But the texture was crumbly with a small garlic bits in appearance. It was really unique! The crispy garlic and fig jam together with the mortadella really brought these pungent, sweet flavor and then the spiciness from the pepperoncini and creamy stracciatella cheese! This was so good, that even after eating the leftovers the next day, I did not want it to end! My absolute fave! I would get this again in a heartbeat! The wait time for sandwiches is not long! They make it quick! CUSTOMER SERVICE There were too many sandwich choices and so little time to make them, as the line behind started growing. The person helping me was kind and patient in helping me find the sandwich I would enjoy. She smiled and told me to return and let me know how I liked the sandwiches. Come to think of it, she may be one of the owners. SEATS There's two tables inside and two tables outside. All in a crammed space. Surprisingly, people still stay and dine-in. PARKING As always, parking is very difficult as it is located in the most busiest area: Santa Monica Blvd and Rodeo Dr. There is paid parking lots around the area and I parked at the closest one to Lorenzo California. But the pay machine was broken and the only option was paying online, but it was an international website with several choices of what country you located and even after choosing the country and city, it still was still having problems. I did not care to download the app just to make a payment. I parked anyway without paying and took a risk and hurried to Lorenzo California. Happy to find no ticket on my windshield when I returned. If you are shopping in the area, please park in the larger BH public parking structures. They have better and updated pay machines and parking attendants who can help. Also, the larger BH parking structures have 2 hrs. free too.

Very friendly service, great food, and inside and outside couple of tables you can sit. Ordered the Cotto and it's a must order. The bread is fresh with not too much dough, so you get to taste more of the toppings then more bread.

This sandwich was GOOD. Felt like my many trips to Italy where I waited in line at All'Antico. The bread was fresh (they bake it in-house) and soft and absorbed the sauce really well. I got the chicken parm and half a sandwich filled me up (I ate the other half the next day). Everyone liked their sandwich too. The owner works there and was very nice and gave me some extra vodka sauce when I asked so I can dip it in (without charging me). That's the kind of small business that I will support again and again. We paid about $100 for 3 sandwiches ($25ish each) and 3 waters ($4 each), which yes is kinda pricey, but I would say for Beverly Hills was really good. The place has a nice vibe, you can see your sandwich being made and has a few places to sit inside and outside. Chao!

This is a unique sandwich spot that incorporates interesting flavors into their sandwiches though can be a bit pricey. -Cotto: Bread has great texture. There is a thick flavorful creaminess. Pleasant hint of lemon flavor with each bite of this sandwich. The meat in this is alright. -Rafaello: This was my favorite sandwich of the two I tried. This sandwich tastes like a premium sandwich but what makes it special are the fig jam and crispy onions. The fig jam adds a pleasant honey-like sweetness which is really good and not too overpowering. The crispy onions adds an extra crunch to the sandwich. Bread has great texture as well though the meat in this is nothing too special.

    Turkey sandwich

There was no line on a Sunday afternoon. The place is small with only four seats inside, so it is mostly takeout. The staff was friendly and my sandwich was ready quickly. In less than 5 minutes. I had the turkey sandwich with added peppers. It was filling and large enough to save half for later. The price was on the higher side compared to typical LA sandwich spots. I would have liked the bread to be warmed or toasted, as the flavors were a bit mild. Overall, a decent option if you are shopping in the area and want a quick bite.

This place delivers. In the heart of Beverly Hills, the place was buzzing with activity. I got the roast beef sandwich and it was very tasty.

Not hyperbolic to say these are some of the best sandwiches I have ever had. These are fresh! We tried the Tonno and tramonto which were both super flavorful. The bread looks dense but is super light. It does not take away from the filling. The service is also top tier! The gave great suggestions and even found seating for us. The place is small and gets packed, so you may want to take your food to go if you go during a busy time.

Went all the way to Beverly Hills just for this foodie destination. I love me some Italian sandwiches and I had to try it out. Had a few options but I went for the Lorenzo and added Prosciutto since I'm not the biggest fan of Mortadella. Delicious sandwich! Bold sandwich, creamy. Nuts in sandwiches are not weird, the Italians knew how to do it. I also saw that they had some seasonal items, I wish I went for the Porchetta or the Chicken Parm. There's quite a menu and I'd want to come back to try others. Unfortunately not a lot of seating, probably only for about 10 people max. At lunch time I wouldn't be surprised if you had to wait a bit to order and get your sandwich. Still worth the wait. Staff was very attentive, someone was going out asking everybody if they enjoyed their meal. They'll also come out to hand you a box if you need one. If taking a stroll or going around Rodeo Drive, it's a great way to take a delicious meal on the go.

Honestly, it worked out perfectly because they had AC and it was HOT in Beverly Hills that day lol. The inside of the restaurant was actually really beautiful too! If it's not during Dine LA, I would likely not come back. Little did we know there was a very obvious explanation for not being full for a Sunday dinner despite the gorgeous patio being perfect for romantic dates. Overall 4 stars: 5 stars for ambiance 4 stars for service 3 stars for food Got the: 1. Toscana (7/10): - This salad was wilted by the time it got to us and not crispy anymore, so we suspect it's been sitting out for a while. - Would've been a 9/10 If it was served fresh 2. Pappardelle Al Tartufo Bianco (+$20 to add lobster pieces) 7/10: - the pasta (9/10) was good, and the doneness was perfect for fresh pasta. - Unfortunately the lobster (4/10) left a lot to be desired. The lobster meat was severely overcooked to the point of being almost rubbery and there were several small shells in the pasta dish. - The waiter must've noticed the pile of shells I made because he whisked away the plate the second I finished so I wasn't able to take a picture. 3. Filet di Manzo (5/10): - the filet was over cooked, which is starting to seem like an overarching theme. We ordered medium RARE and received medium WELL. - This would ordinarily be sent back to the kitchen in any reputable steakhouse, but we gave them a break for not being a steakhouse - the sauce was on the bitter side and this dish was paired with broccoli rabe instead of the advertised spinach so the dish was not balanced at all, just overwhelmingly bitter. Unfortunately this was the worst dish of the night. 4. Il Branzino (7.5/10): - the Branzino fish was not dry but also not moist. I'd say it's pretty typical for Italian cooking, just not flavorful either. It needs a tasty sauce to really add some depth - instead of the advertised zucchini, it came with spinach - It was soft enough for the palate of my grandparents 5. Panna Cotta (9.5/10): - wow, I can't believe the best dishes of the night were the desserts! - Panna cotta was very well balanced with the fruits. Without the fruits and fruit syrup topping, the vanilla bean panna cotta would've be too rich - did not come with the advertised candied rose petals, but this dessert was so well executed that it didn't matter 6. Tiramisu (9/10): - light and fluffy, it was executed well with chocolate shavings on top - a little bitter from the coffee (they advertise that the lady fingers were "lightly dipped in espresso" which my taste buds find hard to believe) but they did have a berry compote on the side to balance it out. - Personally I wish it was not served with berry compote as I believe the advertised mascarpone may been a better pairing Parking: valet only but there's street parking down the street and all around if you're willing to walk up to a block

There are other locations but this I think was the first one and since it was the one I frequented it's the one I will miss. I have so many fond memories of this restaurant. I came here as a little girl with my family because it was casual enough for a well mannered child but fancy enough to please the adults. One time I decided to get into shape. Every time someone asked me out for lunch or dinner I said I wanted to go to Il Fornaio. I would order a bowl of the vegetable soup or vegetarian soup of the day and the Regina Salad. The salad did wild arugula, couscous, avocado, red onions, capers, raisins, and lemon oil dressing. It was a fabulous and filling meal that also kept me skinny. I could honestly eat it every day and never get bored. During Covid I came here and we ate outside on the sidewalk. We enjoyed watching the pedestrian scene and "staying safe" while being able to eat out again. I really missed going out and I felt comfortable here which was important during Covid time. Every Halloween Il Fornaio would have 1/2 price pizza. My family made a tradition to order it. I LOVED this tradition and I'm going to miss it this Halloween. Their pizza was delicious. One time I came here with a boyfriend because they had a cooking class in the back. They had a huge entertainment room in the back of the restaurant. I wish I had a chance to have a special event here to rent it out. We had so much fun as we watched the chef talk about how to prepare each dish and what was even better is that we got to taste it in the end. We ate seabass with golden raisins, baked pasta with eggplant, and a cannoli for dessert. They even had a party souvenir which was an Il Fornaio plate to hang on the wall. Last time I came here was on the Fourth of July last year. It was also dine-la and they had the best deal of any of the dine-la restaurants. Not all the dine-la deals are good but this one truly was one of the best in terms of value for money. It was a three course meal with the most delicious fish entree. Who doesn't love a good deal? We had a fabulous time! Lastly, in recent years they added a happy hour menu to the restaurant and it was fabulous. I did another review on that so I'll keep it short here but the food and drinks were just wonderful. I will miss the friendly waiters who have been there forever. They don't make them like that anymore. Arrivederci to a true "classic"!

I hate that I can't remember my server's name because he was phenomenal. I don't drink alcohol, but he recommended a few mocktails that were absolutely delicious. He also guided almost all of our food and dessert choices, and every recommendation was spot on. I originally made a reservation for indoor seating, but since it was such a beautiful day, we decided to sit outside by the pool. It ended up being the perfect choice. There atmosphere was relaxing, the noise level made conversation easy, and the view was beautiful. For food, we ordered the Pappardelle al Ragù, which was delicious. The pasta itself was perfectly cooked with great flavor. I wouldn't have minded a little more protein, but it was still a really enjoyable dish. We also had the Little Gem Caesar with chicken, a classic done exceptionally well. The standout, however, was the Diavola pizza. The combination of spicy soppressata with the honey drizzle was absolutely top tier, and the soft, airy crust brought everything together perfectly. It was easily my favorite dish of the meal. To drink, we had a couple of non alcoholic Cosmojitos, which were refreshing, flavorful, and a great complement to the meal. We closed out the evening with the homemade carrot cake, and wow it was the cake of my dreams. Perfectly moist, incredibly flavorful, and just the right level of sweetness without being overpowering. It was the perfect ending to an already fantastic meal. Overall, this was an outstanding dining experience with exceptional service, delicious food, and a beautiful ambiance. I can't wait to come back!

I ordered the Brazino and the braised Short Ribs. I've had Brazino at various locations in the past and without question, this was the best I've had thus far. It was extremely large and sat atop a dark colored delicious sauce which, was outstanding. The short ribs were tender, had great flavor and were cooked perfectly. Other than the food being exceptional and the table service on point, the highlight of the evening was when owner, operator and celebrity Chef Wolfgang Puck stopped by to say hello and inquired about my meal. This spoke volumes of his commitment to customer satisfaction and his willingness to interact with those who visit his establishment. Well done!

Unfortunately, my experience landed more in the "it was fine" category than memorable fine dining. The evening started promisingly with cocktails and beautifully presented small bites. Presentation throughout dinner was polished, and there's no question that a lot of thought goes into how everything arrives at the table. The bread service was elaborate and visually impressive, and several of the smaller bites were interesting. But as the meal progressed, I kept waiting for that one dish that would make me understand the hype. The truffle pizza certainly looked luxurious--and they weren't shy with the truffles--but even that didn't deliver the knockout flavor I expected. It was good. Just...good. At this level, I was expecting something I'd still be talking about the next day. That's really how I felt about the overall meal. Nothing was necessarily bad. The ingredients seemed high quality, the plating was sophisticated, and the experience had all the elements of upscale dining. It simply didn't translate into food that excited me. And when you're dining at a restaurant with Spago's reputation, "just okay" feels more disappointing than it would somewhere else. Service and atmosphere were polished, but ultimately I'm reviewing the entire experience relative to the expectations and price point. I'm glad I finally experienced Spago for myself, but would I rush back? Probably not. There are too many exceptional restaurants where I've left genuinely excited about what I just ate.

Our waiter was amazing, no nice and helpful. He explained the entire menu to us in detail. Everything sounded so good so it was hard to choose. To start we got the arancini. Portion comes with 3 and it was amazing. It's fried, but it wasn't too greasy. It was cheesy and yummy. One of my favorites was the fig pizza with prosciutto. They dough was thin and it was sourdough. For dessert, we tried the tiramisu and I finished every last bite. Literally everything was so good!

The entrance to this place is like a house that was converted to a restaurant, with some tables and the bar inside and two separate patios. The ambiance is quite relaxing. We opted to sit inside since it was hot outside. I ordered the chicken because I wanted protein which was pretty boring lemon chicken, would recommend the pizza and pasta instead . The short rib pasta was cooked perfectly and the right amount of cheesy and a little sweet. We were all so full after. Sangria and cocktails were all great as well. There is a $35 cake fee which I didn't mind because they cut and serve it for you, thought we did have to ask 3 different people for our cake and then ask again to have the leftovers boxed and given back to us. Otherwise, service was great. I'd come back for drinks and to try more pasta!

Started with cocktails (Negroni and Old Fashioned) that were well prepared and served quickly. Moved on to the zucchini flowers with ricotta, burrata, roasted tomato and crispy basil, then the Margherita Pizza and Maccheroni Bolognese. Zucchini flowers were lightly battered and were great with the burrata. The pizza was Neopolitan pizza perfection and the bolognese was the right balance of pasta to chunky bolognese. Free corkage on Tuesdays was an added bonus. We shared everything and portion sizes were ample and there was even enough to have leftover pizza and bolognese the next day.
