STAY AWAY!! Most DC's just want your money. I got along great with him but nearly had to beg him to do a physical exam of my thyroid. I was finally hopeful that someone local could finally treat me. I gave him all my records and that extensive intake form, spending many days on it. Prior to this appointment I had researched heavily on which doctor to see and would make calls and ask questions to make sure I made the right choice because I do not have income. I have to make wise choices using my depleting savings. I felt confident this one would help my condition. Well they assured me on the phone twice and I even asked the moment I got called into his office, how long will the appointment take. At least an hour. One said "45 minutes to an hour." I typed it out on my doctor list when I made my decision. I was shocked that I was nearly rushed out in 15 minutes or so. The front desk thought it was odd. I called them after the appointment and asked if that short time was typical, as I was told I would be paying for an hour. The gal said it was highly unusual, especially because there was no indication to pay up front. She noticed I was in and out and thought I wasn't going to be treated. It was like a speedy free consult, as DC's usually have?? I just wanted to be sure if I was going to pay that fee, I would get to maximize what was promised. Made my next appointment and then nobody calls me. He said he needed whatever time he told me to examine my records. 2 weeks later I hear nothing. So I called the staff, who knew nothing. Then suddenly I get the coldest call from some horrible staff member saying "come pick up your records, doctor doesn't want to see you." WHAT? I ask "why?" I was very confused. NO ONE supposedly knew "why" but one staff member said something because I asked the question on fees and timing. So if you're a patient who takes charge of your time and money and want the value of your money - do NOT go to this guy. There was NO rhyme or reason to just dump me like this when I was more than pleasant and friendly about it. VERY confused I went to pick up all my hard work and asked again, "why won't he treat me?" All I got was blank stupid stares and shrugs. AVOID!! HIGHLY immature and EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Adding 04/07/16 I just read the doctor's response and no I was not instructed after the meeting. From someone who has seen many useless doctors (not saying Dr Salyers is, as I had high hopes for him) because I have a Lupus disease no one can figure out its origins, I have plenty of experience and knowledge of how this works. Doctors who are paid by insurance companies spend 10-15 minutes with you and charge my insurance $500-$800 for the visit, in which insurance pays a certain amount and I pay whatever is left of the deductible. Doctors who do NOT deal with insurance, make the patient pay a higher price for that visit, however, the visit is longer. You pay higher but you actually get quality time to state your problems. Doctors who take insurance I have found seriously useless, talking in the hallway as they rush off or type behind their laptops and scatter like roaches. I didn't know how this worked and the front desk just waved goodbye "have a great day" and I was like, "ok." From what I was told, he was going to review the records and have his staff call me for the next appointment. I had lots of records. I wasn't sure if I'd get billed or what. Not sure how it worked, thats why I called. Like I said before, I called the office when I got home and simply asked if it was typical just to spend that short amount of time. That front desk said NOTHING about me paying right then and there. She said she was going to ask and get things clarified. As I wrote before, nothing happened until one day a staff member was so rude and curt and just told me to come pick up my records and the doctor does NOT want to see me, as if I insulted him. I thought that was so rude and unprofessional and I literally was like WHY? I don't get it. Very confused, I would ask other staff "why?" They shrugged or denied something they knew. I really wanted this doc to treat me 'cause I believed in him but this was seriously immature. It's truly a shame but to be shunned and lied to about it and then to follow up my review as if I didn't hear what was not said? C'mon. read more

Dr. Salyers is both a skilled chiropractor and nutritionist, he has helped relieve some severe sciatica I was experiencing and also diagnosed me with an autoimmune disease that no other dr was even looking for! Recently I had a shoulder injury that was right out of the blue, I am a hairdresser of 38 years behind the chair nonstop. You can imagine the fear when I woke up and was unable to lift my right arm . On a scale from 1 to 10 the pain was at 11. Dr. Salyers has worked on me 4 times, I am returning to work tomorrow with the pain level of 1. I found myself in serious pain after something I did that put my spine out of alignment. I decided to give it a few days hoping it would resolve with patience and a bit of stretching. After more than a week of no improvement I called Dr. Salyers and booked the appointment. I used the names of two friends who are patients and explained the urgency. The staff worked me in early the next day. I had anticipated some pain in the adjustment. In previous chiropractic visits, more than 25 years ago I always hurt worse than before being treated. (It was a factor in my decision to stop seeing chiropractors) I was actually a bit disappointed after the adjustment and told Dr. Salyers I didn't feel any pain or change. I saw Dr Salyers again a few days later for a second adjustment. Again no pain. He wants to check me in a month unless pain returns. Does it get better than this? Not in my experience. Nobody in the practice attempted to "up sell" me anything. I take no pain medication of any kind so if something was not right, I would know about it. I don't believe in masking pain. read more
