Dr. Teitelbaum has done a great deal for me. No longer droopy eye lids or bags. No bat wings or saddle bags after lipo. My neck isn't turkey-like after a lift. My scars are minimal - not visible unless I force people to look because I'm so amazed. He is busy, but took time with me. He made me feel comfortable and safe. Underneath his professional, perfectionist exterior - he is a huge teddy bear. His lovely staff have been with him for years and are wonderful. Four years later... Dr. Tielebaum has asked me several times to remove my review of 2022. However, not once did he offer to fix my breast that his surgery caused to bottom out, and which he had twice promised to fix. His interest is his money, nothing else. Therefore I have refused to remove my review. To readers who have not seen my previous review - He abandoned me when a probe developed with my breast surgery. He gave no explanations and was exceptionally rude and dismissive. His asking me to remove my review without offering to address the problem shows how his only interest was for how others see him. This is not a well-balanced man who is concerned for others. He cannot handle a problem with composure or grace. He will turn on the patient if there is a problem, rather than help the patient. At a time when you have trusted him with your body, this treatment is devastating. Your pain makes no difference to him. He is only nice to you when all goes well. Had I not been so disheartened and depressed at the time by my experience with him, I would have brought a malpractice claim. If anyone is considering such a course of action, contact me. To State I am severely disappointed in Dr Steven TeitelBaum is a severe understatement both professionally his surgical site outcomes, his failure to contact me regarding important life or death health updates regarding the product he used during surgery and or repair damages or address complications, nor to inform me or register my implants during surgery required by law. in feb 2026 i woke up to swelling and severe pain in my left breast, i went to look up possible reasons and was immediately faced with information I had not expected the McGann 410 Cohesive Textured Anatomic Breast Implants Dr. Steven TeitelBaum had Recommended then Implanted in Me in Dec 18,2001 had been RECALLED bu the FDA due to a link to anaplastic BioCell Lymphoma specific to the textured shell they are made from in 2019 and Dr teitelbaum had neither informed me of the recall, the implant maker company also confirmed he didnt even register my implants at the time of surgery and there was no records Of his surgery, subsequently I have made 4 attempts to reach Dr TeitelBaum thru certified letters he has failed to respond too.. this takes me back too his original surgery in Dec 2001 Dr Teitelbaum Recommended I use The McGann Anatomic 410 Cohesive Textured implants for my breast reviSion surgery and according to him i was entered into a study to have them - he has had a stake in the implants and a dedicated website called cohesive implants.com additionally at the same time he also recommended various facial surgery revisions incl under eye bleph and to have Large Terrino Malar Cheek Implants placed in my Cheek bones , as one can imagine my surgical quotes were Aproximately 30 K Paid In Full - My Outcome Both Sites suffered major complications immediately post surgery within a couple of weeks , my Left Breast Implant rotated completely to the side in the pocket and he went on the defensive blamed my weight losse post surgery (no weight loss only resolved swelling), and my Left Cheek and Eye was extremely swollen and completely asymmetrical, he denied it was noticeable to his professional eye ( completely false) he then ceased cut off all contact and I had to see multiple drs who didnt want to touch any of the surgery sites because he was evasive and was non cooperative in providing the medical records, (even to colleagues) or surgical notes to allow multiple top LA Surgeons the necessary information to help me, This left me disfigured and in an extreme state of despair and trauma and financial impact for a year and a half and more it affected my work in the entertainment industry- for this reason I haven't touched my self surgically for 25 years now once again as my life and survival could literally depend on it I am forced to seek this Dr out and again and he refuses to communicate. Post breast cancer lumpectomy: Breast lift, replace existing implants, reduction and Lipo of the upper back. Treated poorly, multiple complications, awful result, arrogant, dismissive of my concerns, waisted $30k. Had to go to another surgeon to completely redo. Dr. Teitelbaum was so nice during the consultation. Acted like he knew what I wanted and did not raise any concerns about achieving them. I booked my procedure. He had me come in a week prior to deflate previous implants (to see how my skin would bounce back). He was not very nice during this appointment. Treated me Like an object, not a person with feelings. He was very rough and didn't speak to me until afterwards. I had a few questions at that point and he was quite arrogant & rude with his responses. I left there and cried in my car and prayed that he was just having a bad day, because i already paid a Large deposit and he already deflated my existing implants. So I felt as if I had to continue moving forward. A week later it was the day of my procedure and he seemed to be in a better mood, so I was optimistic about the surgery. The minute my surgery was done I was walked back to my room (pretty out of it) and then discharged. A day later I went in for my follow up. He walked in from across the room and said how is everything and I said it was fine. They were so Swollen, it was too early to tell anything. I had drains also. I was sent home with a follow up in 6 days to get the drains out. I did not see the Dr. when I got the drains out. Only his nurse Chrissley. I was sent home with a follow up in a month. 6 days later my stitches in my back (from lipo) were itching so bad and my skin was starting to heal over the stitches. So I called and asked when I was supposed to have them removed and apparently they were supposed to take them Out when they took the drains out, but had forgotten. So I had to drop everything and go get them removed. Needless to say, I have 3 scars from those stitches now, that I would t have had if they were removed on time. At my one month follow up, I brought up my concerns about my result. I was super nice and sweet (because I don't have a mean bone in my body). Dr. Teitelbaum was extremely rude and mean. He told me I had no idea what I was talking about and that no Dr. in their right mind would ever do what I was asking for. He completely dismissed me bringing up that they were saggier than when I came to see him to begin with. He said "that's what bras are for". He said I don't know what you want from me. I said, "I just want you to take pride in your work and say you will fix them". I left after that. I received an apology email from the doctor the next day. His staff also called me and said he would fix them And make it right. Weeks after that, I had an infection in one of the breasts along with multiple stitches that were sticking out of my breast and needed to be removed. They took a Culture of the infection and sent it off to the lab so they could figure out which antibiotic to give me. I waited a week, but apparently the tube they used was expired so the lab wouldn't process it and I had to go back in again and take another culture. At this point my body was trying to get rid of the infection, so it had opened up in several Spots under that breast (holes in my skin). So when I went back in that time (for the second culture). The dr. Dug around in the holes (very painful) and pulled out tissue and more stitches and sent me on my way again. At that point, I was worried about getting sepsis from having the infection for 4 months. I went to my primary care physician, who then put me on a way stronger antibiotic. This finally got rid of the infection. Needless to say, I did not trust Dr. Teitelbaum with my care and definitely did not trust him to perform any kind of surgery on me to rectify his botch job. I ended up with saggier boobs than when I originally went to him. They were not symmetrical, one nipple was way higher than the other, one breast was veering off to the right, while the other was straight forward. I was depressed for a year and half from what this doctor did to me. I recently went to a different surgeon (highly recommended by my Oncologist) who achieved everything we discussed (no complications, no drains, no swelling, no infection, caring and gentle doctor) and I am very happy now. I have never written a bad review in my life, but too many professionals have encouraged me to write this to hopefully spare someone from experiencing the trauma I did with this man. read more

My breast reduction experience with Dr. Teitelbaum exceeded my expectations in every way! My Background: I am a 61 year old woman who is in very good health. I've had naturally large breasts since I was 16 years old. I've thought about have a breast reduction many times and have consulted with plastic surgeons, but never pulled the trigger. My reasons for having a breast reduction: Post menopause, my breasts have increased in size, which has given my body a matronly profile that made me look older than I feel. I also have extremely dense breast tissue, which looks like a snow storm on my mammogram. I wanted to reduce the size of my breasts to make it easier to see any abnormalities. Esthetically, I no longer wore button up shirts because either they fit in the shoulders but were too tight across the bust, or I bought them to fit across the bust, but they were big everywhere else. I would never go braless, and often wore my bra under my pajamas when I went to bed. Finally, I was just so tired of "underboob" sweat! IYKYK! How I chose Dr. Teitelbaum: I consulted with a plastic surgery consultant, The Beauty Broker, and she gave me the names of three highly vetted plastic surgeon experts who are known for their excellence with this procedure. I met with each doctor. They were all truly exceptional. Why I chose him: I chose him for several reasons: 1. I really liked that his staff (Vicki), nurses and his anesthesiologist have been with him for a VERY long time. Why does this matter? To me, it appears that he and his team trust each other and work well together. Don't underestimate how important this is! 2. His credentials are beyond reproach. I liked that he's been in practice for over 20 years. He's done this procedure a lot! Experience matters! 3. He spent a lot of time with me during my consult and was delightful, but serious with his observations and recommendations. He set realistic expectations with me. I appreciated his candor. Results: Size: Before my surgery I was a 34 GG. Post surgery, I'm a 34C!!! I love my little boobies!! Symmetry - I told Dr. T that I am a VERY symmetrical person. My nipples are PERFECTLY symmetrical! Scarring - I am now almost 3 months post surgery. Overall, my scars are fading nicely. The scars around the nipples have faded a little bit, the vertical scars going from the nipple down to the bottom of the breast, are almost completely faded. The horizontal scars on the bottom are fading a bit slower, but they are thin and will fade with time. I'm not worried at all about the scars. Numbness: My nipples are not numb! The horizontal incision under my breast is a little bit numb, but as it's healing, the feeling is coming back. Surgery/after care experience: Dr. T, his anesthesiologist and his staff follow very strict protocols to minimize risk of infection and insure fast recovery and healing. His nurse was in contact with me several times leading up to the surgery. The anesthesiologist called me the day before to review my health profile, my experience with surgery and to review what she was going to do to make me comfortable throughout the surgery and recovery. The day of surgery, I arrived early (6:30ish). When Dr. T arrived, he met with my husband and me to discuss the plan and then he marked up my breasts in preparation for surgery. While he was doing his mark ups, he was very focused. He spent a good amount of time, measuring, marking, measuring, marking....He wasn't up for small talk, which I think is a GREAT thing. I awoke in recovery and felt really pretty good. I felt some stinging, but on a scale of 1 best to 10 worst, I'd put it at a 5. The anesthesiologist gave me a nerve block shortly before I woke up. It's a slow acting nerve block that kicks in about 8 hours after surgery and lasts for up to 72 hours. So although I received pain medication to help if necessary, I only took 1 of them during my entire recovery. If I felt pain I took Tylenol and Ibuprofen. We live in Orange County so my husband and I stayed at the hotel adjacent to the surgery center. After surgery, the nurse wheeled me over to the hotel. The evening after surgery, Dr. T called me to make sure I was comfortable and didn't have any questions/issues. I had my follow up visit the next morning. I never experienced any nausea! I didn't have drains to deal with! My stitches dissolved, so no need for stitch removal. I was able to shower after 24 hours. No baths until incisions are healed, approximately 3 weeks. I truly had a perfect recovery experience! After about 4 weeks, I was able to resume my 3 mile walks with my 80 lb. golden retriever. I started going back to Lagree (Pilates on steroids) after 6 weeks. I had my 1 month follow up visit and this Friday I'm headed to my 3 month follow up. Every time I see Dr. T I give him a big hug! I am SO happy with my results and I did hours of due diligence. 6 doctors consultations, a spreadsheet to cross reference and I am so glad I picked Dr. Teitelbaum. He was honest in what he was able to perform based on my body type, intelligent and listened to my concerns. He dictated notes after the consultation which made me feel that he listened. His results were very natural which was what I wanted. The doctor and nurses were punctual and professional. The nurses were very kind and one of his nurses gave me her cell phone number so I was able to ask her post op questions after hours when I was nervous as this was my first procedure. I am 8 weeks post op and I have had friends ask for my doctor's information. I loved them after the surgery and when the swelling went down. No one has asked me if I have had work done because the results are so natural. I even played in a golf tournament 6 weeks post op. I have wanted a breast augmentation for several years. I was willing to travel anywhere in the US for the procedure because I knew I wanted to have the best surgeon in terms of technique, alignment with my aesthetic goals, and training. My experience with him and his entire team - from the initial consult to the procedure - has been incredibly seamless, professional, and comforting. Vicki was exemplary in terms of communication and scheduling with me since I would be flying from across the country. I loved working with his entire nursing staff who were compassionate and kind during every step of the process. And lastly, Dr. Moorman who is his anesthesiologist was excellent which was no surprise given her extensive experience and training- she does a nerve block during the procedure (which I'm not sure how commonly is done), and that really helps with the recovery process (maximal pain 3/10 during recovery). Dr. Teitelbaum himself is an expert and artist at his craft. In terms of his experience, pedigree, and bedside manner, I am sure that Dr. Teitelbaum is one of the best plastic surgeons in the US for breast augmentations. I knew I wanted a smaller augmentation and had minimal natural breast tissue. Given this, Dr. Teitelbaum was able to recommend a size/profile that aligned with my aesthetic goals and then delivered perfectly operatively. I'm only a few days post-op but I am extremely happy with my results. The recovery itself has been incredibly easy with most discomfort stemming from tightness rather than pain. Beware! I had a breast reduction on my birthday in October 2019 and it was disastrous. I had very full natural breast tissue (which I liked) but I wanted my breasts to still be full but one size smaller (from my DD's to a full C) and shapely with an areola reduction. Dr. Teitelbaum told me that he could make them beautiful and retain the fullness. I can barely write this review because this has brought me so much sadness and trauma. That's why it's taken over a year to write this. I would give anything to still have my same breasts as before the surgery. He moved fast. He drew the lines on my body very fast like he just didn't care. I think that he cut off too much of my skin and breast tissue because he wasn't being careful. After the surgery I went home only to have my stitches start to split open on both breasts. I called immediately and went to see him the next morning. He said that this happens sometimes and not to worry because it will all work out. I pleaded with him to Re stitch them or to please do something! Each day the stitches split further apart until I had gaping holes from my nipples to the underside of my breasts. (See photo) I went to see him several times but he didn't offer any solutions. I asked him what the term for this was because I wanted to look it up since he offered zero help. But he wouldn't tell me. He was so rude and nonchalant. It's called dehiscence. I actually lost a 1 1/2 inch square of skin on one breast. It took months for a scab to form. Now I have an ugly patch of hard leather like tissue. That's not all. He cut so much of my natural breast tissue out that now I have hollow hanging skin with very visible forward facing scars. He didn't even try to hide the scars UNDER my breasts like most breast lifts. The scars literally go from the center of my chest all the way to my underarms. I can't even fill a B cup bra. It's depressing every time I take a shower and I try not to look in the mirror. This has caused me so much sadness. read more

My story may be a bit different than some of the other reviews on this page. I'm a mid 20s male who has lost a significant amount of weight and have kept it off for almost 10 years. Throughout those 10 years I carried a significant amount of loose skin and was plagued with low self esteem issues. No amount of working out or special diet would ever get rid of it, and I knew it. It was always in the back of my mind that I would get a skin removal surgery but nerves, money, and so many other things just seemed to stop me from going forward with it. Now that I have and am a bit over 2 months post-op I can say it was 100% worth every penny I spent. I was initially hesitant and unsure like many of you but was committed to saving up for the surgery after my consultation with Dr. Teitelbaum. Saw him a few weeks ago for consultation and his demeanour didn't sit right with me. He didn't seem very caring. I left feeling kind of unimportant. Perhaps he was tired but this is a life changing decision for many of us and we want to feel in safe hands. I just couldn't shake the feeling. Then I got home and read the poor reviews about his surgery's after care and was very put off. I can't comment on his work but I think there are more caring and trustworthy surgeons out there. He's a butcher... deformed me forever and he DOES NOT STAND BEHIND HIS WORK! In addition to horrible work he "glues" most of his incisions and it's leaves awful scars. I decided to write this after reading several of his disastrous reviews of patients with similar experiences. He's very arrogant and rude if you have any issues with his soppy lazy work. I cannot thank Dr. Teitelbaum and his colleagues enough. I had an emergency situation at the end of the work day, and needed stitches on my chin immediately. None of the ten other cosmetic surgeons that I called in Santa Monica and Beverly Hills would even entertain the idea. I was in and out of Dr. T's office in less than an hour, and felt zero pain throughout the whole process. And, so far, nobody can tell that I have stitches on my chin. The overall culture in Dr. Teitelbaum's office was so warm and friendly. I was constantly reassured with words of encouragement and friendly conversation. April helped me with my paperwork and she was absolutely delightful. The ambiance and lighting of the office felt very private and calming, and there was a beautiful cityscape view from the consultation room. When Dr. Teitelbaum first spoke with me I immediately got the feeling that he truly wanted me to not worry, and wanted me to know that he was going to take care of me. I got the feeling that he demands perfection from himself on a level that some might not be able to grasp. There was never a moment where I felt unsure, hesitant, or anxious, which often is the case in doctor's offices. Every detail of the office was thought out. I am so happy with my breast augmentation with Dr. Teitelbaum. I was definitely nervous going into the consultation because this would be my first surgery. After meeting with the doctor and the staff I was no longer nervous, just excited. Dr. Teitelbaum was so patient with me and answered the many questions I had regarding implants, placements, incisions, etc. He and his nurse, who was so supportive and helpful, did a 3D photo of what my breasts would look like after surgery and helped me try on different implants so I knew exactly what size was best for me before I went into surgery. The entire process of getting prepared for surgery was easy, the staff helped guide me through everything. The anesthesiologist was so nice and comforting. I immediately fell in love with her results and booked myself a consultation. His consultations are $250 and the payment goes towards your surgery. You walk in, you're greeted by the receptionist, and drinks are available in the fridge. You're walked into your own room and are greeted by the nurse that's assigned to your procedure. Mine was April and she was a sweetheart! The staff is very professional, and I was helped and constantly reassured throughout the whole process. I had minimal anxiety because of how well they treated me as a patient and how organized their system is! They take multiple 3D photos of your bare breasts to create a 3D prediction of how different sized implants would look on your own body. You talk to the nurse about what kind of results you're looking for and then Dr. Teitelbaum comes in to talk to you. He goes over what he believes is the "perfect" implant size for you, and you have the choice to go with smaller or larger implants than the recommendation he gave you. It took me ALOT of research to figure out what size implants I wanted. I originally thought I wanted a "mini-boob job" like Remi but took some time to realize that yes, although I wanted a very natural result, I still wanted that OOMPH, you know? We initially decided to go with 165-195ccs but I booked a second consultation having doubts that it was a little too small. I asked Dr. Teitelbaum what size was the biggest size I could get without looking fake and that's how we ended up with 265ccs. All I have to say is-- do your research when it comes to sizing. The first time I called the office I spoke with Maria. I thought to myself, wow she is very nice and each time I saw her at check in she was consistently professional and sweet. My first appointment Im all settled in the room and in comes Miss April, bright eyed, beautiful and energetic. You instantly feel happy and cared for. Any fear or hesitation quickly goes away when in her presence. If I could bottle that, I'd crop dust the planet with it!
