Over cooked and sandy!
Juan G.

It was busy. So many things going on in this place. Place is sooo dark i cant see anything. I had a really good experience 2wks ago on a tuesday. Food was good. Service was amazing. Shout out to Lori. Fast forward to this busy saturday. With reservations, we got there 15min early. We waited to be seated another 15min. People w no reservations got sat soon after we did. Service was slow but its understandable. It's busy. Ordered Calamari - over cooked and did not taste like it did two wks ago. It was sandy and nasty. Yuk. Prime rib tasted off. Not fresh and very tough. Everything was just not like it was 2wks ago. Pasta still mushy. Veggies on plates were mushy. The cheeseburger was extremely dry and lacking of any flavor. It was like biting into a sand paper and saw dust sandwich. I dont think im ever coming back.

My first time coming here after seeing the $29.95 steak n lobster and my lady mentioned she has been here with her family in the past. Our reservations was for 7:30 Friday night. We arrived around 7:10 and parked in valet parking lot for $9, because parking was full. The hostess was stated will be 20 minute wait and advised us to go to the bar and we did see the live singing. We finally were seated around 8:05pm, but understandably, because graduation parties. They seated us near the stage to see the amazing singing by a gentleman and female awesome shows. The staff super friendly and very apologetic for the long wait after finding out my first time here. The waiter Joseph was very nice and polite we order the special and got 1 mozzarella dish was amazing. Then around 9:30ish they move the few tables for evening dance club was awesome. Overall we had amazing experience and will come again. Kudos to do the management and staff they are excellent.

We went mid afternoon and it was empty. We loved the service we got. Good portion and prices were amazing, you can't find that anywhere now and days! The inside is a vibe. Very dark and romantic, had to pull out my phone flashlight to see the menu. We love this place!

Classic steakhouse with leather booths, wood trimmed furnishings in the dining and banquet rooms. We had a chicken and steak dinner with mashed potatoes, veggies and a garden salad. The food was delicious and good portions for the price. The staff are very attentive, they dressed in black and white attire, look and act professionally. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week. In addition to the main dining room, they have a lounge with live entertainment. The banquet rooms are available for private parties or concerts (ticket required for admission). They really go all out for the holidays with dinner specials, happy hour and nightly entertainment. They decorate so beautifully and lighting is nicely done from the top to bottom. I recommend this restaurant for a date night or special occasion. If dining solo, there is counter seating in the lounge. They have a small parking lot, valet service is available, as well as limited street parking. Sincerely, Rosemary

I've come here twice (consecutive years) for a Christmas party with my work family. I feel like I'm trippin' balls or something because I'm the only person that seems not super thrilled about the steak here. Everyone says it's great, but my medium-rare steak was overcooked and tough to chew both times. Maybe it's just to be expected when you're in a big group? The ambiance is great and the service is very good. The steak itself just left much to be desired. The mashed potatoes were pretty good, but the zucchini was awful. Maybe I'll give it a shot sometime not in a large group, and by ordering a better cut of steak.

After so many years, I finally returned to Steven's Steakhouse my last visit was before the pandemic. Walking in brought back so many wonderful memories; this place used to be my favorite salsa spot on Sundays, and being there again felt truly special. We enjoyed the chicken and steak plate with vegetables, and it was absolutely delicious just as good as I remembered. The Broadway show was fantastic, and later I got to dance salsa with Chino Espinoza's Orquesta. I even ran into old friends, which made the night even more meaningful. Steven's Steakhouse has always had that perfect combination great food, excellent service, and a warm, lively atmosphere that makes every visit memorable. It's not just a restaurant; it's a place filled with joy, music, and nostalgia.

Came for a group dinner and we were seated inside. The staff is very nice but the servers definitely are forgetful -- asked them for something and never came back with it. Food wise -- so salty!! Ordered appetizers: baked stuffed mushrooms, king crab, fries -- all so so salty! The soup of the day was OK. And their famous spaghetti was just OK. The ribeye steak was a good size. Slightly burned on the end. Parking is free on the street or they have valet on site. Overall - indoor seating was dark (at least restrooms are bright). However there is a TV if you want to dine and watch sports. Outdoor sitting is nice but only can accommodate smaller group. There is an inside bar you can get drinks at, and next door is dance classes at night time. Not sure I'd do food here again unless I'm salt deprived.

Came for a wedding anniversary party! They have lots of parking and banquet hall. While we came for a wedding anniversary, about 15 tables, there was another high school reunion next door maybe 20 tables. Food was good. The desserts and salads were great. Steak needed a little more flavor but when serving 100+ people they have to balance speed and volume with quality. Bathroom got a little rough with two unisex rooms for 200+ people but we all managed.

Stephen steakhouse will always be the best for me. It's very affordable and tastes so delicious, my money was well spent. The service is also very good, it never disappoints me and all the customers eating there as well. The ambience is loud sometimes just because there is a live performance almost all the time. But, it kind of sets the mood.

I just hosted a brunch for my nonprofit here on April 19, when I tell you everything turned out great, it did! I believe it's always the venue that can make or break an event but when you have excellent communication with the venue that makes the experience even better. Jaime was my point of contact and let's just say he was so laid back, easy going, easy to communicate with and made sure he did all he could to make sure the event was a success on their end. Thank you Jaime for everything, I'll definitely keep you in mind for future events. You are so appreciated!

Friday deal is back. Ribeye and lobster tail dinner for $29.95. Comes with salad and bread rolls. Great deal. Just order your steak more undercooked than desired. They tend to cook a little too long. Meal comes with fresh bread rolls. But it's worth it to Add on garlic bread. Plates are hearty. Pastrami sandwich is tasty with crispy shoestring fries Shishito peppers are so yummy Fried seafood app is big with large plate of fries too

Was craving a steak and was too lazy to drive far so we decided to go back to an oldie that we hadn't gone to for a while. Don't know why? Prices were super reasonable and portions generous. Nice ambiance and good service too. Enjoyed my ribeye and had a chunk left lol. Loved the grilled veggies it came with, I got double veggies and it also came with their special spaghetti and soup!Hubs enjoyed his sea bass which also came with everything. We got their combo appetizer with fried shrimp, fish, scallops, calamari and a huge bed of fries. All were good as were the fries. Note to self, no appetizers needed here! Definitely going back. For a steakhouse they have a really extensive menu. We want to try their pizza. Needless to say, we had no room for dessert. Our server Ramon was great but his assistant Roberto was on it! He was awesome! Cash is best as they charge 4% for credit card. $9 service fee for valet.

Came here with some friends on a Saturday night. Wasn't crowded but staff was friendly Excellent live music (both singers with excellent) Food: - bread (free): 5/5 so soft and fluffy - Chilean sea bass: 5/5 flaky and tasty - Prime rib: 3/5 tasted ok but dry on the inside - Calamari: 2/5 small portions and overcooked - King Crab Roberto: 2/5 really wanted to like this dish but it was soaked in the butter and the crab was mostly the point joint pieces which made the crab hard to get out Side note: I called before we went and asked about corkage fee and was told it was $8. When we got the restaurant they said it was $15. :(

Once we were ready she had our table already prepared. We have to order inside first before you can be seated. Once seated our food came out not too long after. Everything looked and tasted delicious! We ordered the chilaquiles verde, short rib omelette, tropical pancakes (seasonal), and the mango curd french toast (seasonal). The chilaquiles verde was savory and tangy. It wasn't soggy at all and definitely one of my favorite dishes. The short rib omelette was savory but didn't give me any wow factor compared to the other dishes I ordered. The tropical pancakes were so pretty. I only tried a piece of it without the syrup which I think was a mistake because the kumquat syrup was my friend's favorite. I definitely need to try it again with the syrup. Best for last, mango curd French toast was my favorite! I fell in love with sweetness and tanginess of the mango curd. The French toast was soft and you can taste the butter. I wish it was a main menu item. I'll definitely be sad to see it go. They have lots of seating inside and outside.

The Huevos Rancheros are also very good. i have visited many times, and the food is consistently delicious. The service is great, and the staff is very attentive and detail-oriented. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the restaurant is a bit small, which often means a longer wait for a table. If the wait times were shorter, it would easily be a 5-star experience. Overall, it's a great spot for brunch, and I would definitely recommend it.

Still stands-up to the hype after all these years…read more If "Trendy" was a restaurant, Bestia would easily be in top contention, even after being around for more than a decade. That says a lot. Once upon a time (a few years ago), my CFP + banking institution wanted to thank me for being one of their top private clients. They expressed their gratitude with a very generous, all expense paid full-course meal at Bestia. To say that I was impressed would be an understatement. Fast forward to now, I knew that coming back here would be a good idea. Make no mistake, even if you try to book a reservation several weeks in-advance, don't be surprised if the only available seats are at the counter. Granted, I was in a spacey table during my past visit, the counter can be an enjoyable & unintentionally entertaining space. It's great for a more casual vibe, as you get to see some of the kitchen workers put together some of their signature dishes. In many ways, Bestia seems like a microcosm of the city that it rather humbly resides within. What always catches me off-guard, is that the surrounding simple area really doesn't reflect the happening, vibrant, night-life that resides within the building's walls. You feel like you're taken so a different, very social, very bustling world. WINE: Podere 72, Poderi San Lazzaro (Marche region, central Italy) - 8.7 / 10 A very robust blend of Montepulciano & Sangiovese grapes that results in a balanced, medium bodied red wine that stands-up to heartiness of a beef ribeye steak. FOOD: Roasted Bone Marrow - 9.4/ 10 I have several friends that go here just for this particular dish. Funny enough, one can almost always tell that one is at Bestia because of the rather peculiar manner in which this dish is served. Hot, melted bone marrow is appropriately scooped out of the bone & poured onto spinach gnocchetti. It's like eating beef flavored mouth pillows of potato + spinach. It's definitely a dish that will impress whoever you are with. I can never resist ordering this whenever I am here. Oxtail alla Vaccinara - 8.9 / 10 The deep, rich maroon color of the rigatoni (thanks to beets) is a sight to behold. The pasta is firm but not too hard. It's a humble yet complex pasta dish that complements any main course. 26oz Margaret River Wagyu Ribeye - 9.4 / 10 Anybody who knows me knows that I love my ribeye. Any decent fancy restaurant does a ribeye. But no one does a ribeye quite like Bestia. The fermented mushroom cream delivers a punch of pungence not unlike a delectable dijon mustard, but to the highest of levels. This dish also makes me a believer in well-cooked onions served alongside steak. I usually like to take a home a portion of ribeye for later, but this is one of the very few instances when the steak is so good, that I can't help but finish it here. Again, the portion is more than enough to be shared. Fromage Blanc Mousse - 9.1 / 10 This seasonal dish hits all the right notes. It's the fanciest of cheesecakes, so I recommend sharing this. With its decadence, a little truly goes a long way & that's perfectly fine. The richness of the cheese is offset perfectly by the right balance of candied kumquats. A great "bite" to end on. Huge shout-out & thanks to Radu for being the nicest & most enthusiastic of servers. It's little things like him being so down to take pics of you with your party that really make me want to come back here. It the owners / management is reading this, please recognize how pivotal he is to your team. If he was working under me, I would most definitely give him a raise. Also, shout-out to Dani at the hostess stand. She is one of the most personable people. For being the first person that patrons see upon entering, she is the perfect face, attitude, & welcoming personality that the hospitality industry is in dire need of. She's a rockstar of a hostess & a pleasure to talk with. Bestia is a better place because of valuable employees like Radu & Dani. As always, come for the food. Come back for the service. I would definitely come back because of how amazing Radu & Dani are. Years after the hype, the vibe is still very much happening at Bestia.

Bestia was unfortunately very overhyped. The restaurant encourages ordering shareable plates, but…read morethe portions were extremely small, and the food itself was just okay--not bad, but nothing memorable. The biggest disappointment was the service. Our server was unwilling to accommodate even simple requests. One friend in our group doesn't drink, and when we asked if her mocktail could be served in a cocktail glass so she could feel included, he simply said no. He also refused to make an espresso martini despite having the ingredients available. To make matters worse, one of our dishes never arrived. When we brought it up, the server responded, "I asked you if it came out and you said yes," instead of apologizing for the mistake. Afterward, he took the bill and appeared to be talking negatively about our table. For a restaurant with such a stellar reputation, I expected much better. Between the tiny portions, average food, and poor service, I won't be back
