I had a friend recommend Steve to me a few months ago. I finally got around to taking my bike into him for a tune-up before it cools off and riding weather is here. I have to say, I was very impressed. He did way more than I thought he would for a tune-up and my bike runs great. It was well worth the couple hundred dollars to have him give my bike a thorough look over and do all the work that he did on it. I bought a motorcycle here. It was a used one, but it was barely touched. Steve gave me a good price on it. Since I came in from out of town, and his shop was closed when I wanted to see it he gave me his personal cellnumber and opened up for me to come in a see the bike. I have been going to Steve's for parts for awhile they are great. The problem I had was recently with service on my bike. The mechanic is knowledgeable but I feel I was mislead on repairs. The major issue was with the owner. When I questioned him on the phone about the repairs that didn't get fixed he became angry and started ranting about not having a magic wand. Steve needs to remember who is spending money there and it is our right to question how our money is being spent. They did not charge me when I picked up the bike. I thought we could clear things up but Steve said he was going to put my name in the system. I guess if he doesn't want my money that is his right. I will take my business somewhere else. read more

I took my nearly new Honda bike here at the recommendation of several motorcycle riders I know instead of the Honda dealer for repairs. I was in a nasty motorcycle accident just after Christmas 2015. Eventually I had it towed to Steve's, it took about four weeks for parts and dealing with the insurance company but it did get finished and looks practically new. I was very pleased with the outcome and the way Steve's service department handled the entire thing. No complaints whatsoever. My thanks to the people in the service department at Steve's Cycle for fixing my bike and doing a good job, too bad my left arm will never be the same again. If you are a rider I gotta say the money I spent on an armored motorcycle jacket and helmet literally saved my life. Mine suffered almost no damage whatsoever despite being slid down the street with my body inside it almost 50 feet, it still looks new! Please, always ride with protection, the most you can stand to wear and afford to buy. These Guys (and Gals) ROCK! Super-Helpful folks down there. Cool VintageBikes to look at (UP ON THE WALL NO LESS) and always lotsa activity. These guy's are as accommodating as they can be and the ServiceMgr is all about the Customer MAAAAN!!! TechRates are CLEARLY stated on a POSTED MENU on the wall and the LaborRate is more reasonable than most-a the other shops. Also, if you don't know what you wanna do about _____, the ServiceMgr will tell you. He wants you happy, not just satisfied. I suggested an incomplete rebuild of a part and he said, 'no, do it right while you're in there and you won't be disappointed when that part you decided NOT to replace fails and forces you to tear down the part all again'. It might sting a little, but I prefer the TRUTH when I'm in someone's ServiceDept. And while it cost me more money at the outset, I'm QUITE SURE it saved me EVEN MORE later... nice P.S. I researched 5 or 6 pretty-closeby-MCServiceShops when I moved to Mesa and these guys won quite handily. read more

Going into a service shop for the first time can be intimidating, especially if you have limited knowledge on the subject. However, the entire staff at Steve's always does their best to ensure that's not the feeling when going there. They have never been anything short of great and very welcoming toward me during my visits. Whether it's one part I need ordered, or a full service repair from Brian in the shop, they have always been patient, thorough, and helpful when answering all of my questions and going over options. Definitely a 5 star review in customer service. Here is my experience... Needed to order clutch parts for my Sportster. Now when I called and asked for the clutch plates they advised me to check different things out on the clutch to make sure they were in working order since harley-davidson has some unique parts inside the clutch that can fail fairly easily. Now I decided to go with an aftermarket clutch pack that eliminated those parts. They made sure that the parts were the correct ones and fit according to the model and year. They ordered them quickly, had good communication, and their service department was very helpful with a bit of knowledge to help me change the clutch myself. Highly recommended will definitely be my new motorcycle parts facility from now on. Will never waste my money again at Harley Davidson dealers. read more

steve's cycle was very good to me. although my work took awhile as they are quite busy, because super good. they spent alot of time researching to find a gas tank that i specifically wanted and at a very good price. they gave me options on all the work that needed to be done, with options on prices and quality (as in their choices of tires). plus super nice and never let me feel odd for not knowing much about anything..... definately better than the other shops (not naming names) i have taken my bike to in the past. read more

I have been going to Steves for a few years now. This shop is awesome. The staff there are extremely personable. I went in today and yet again they blew me away. Brian is who I usually deal with the most. He is an all around stand up man. He knows that my motorcycle is my only mode of transportation to and from work. I drive an average of 100 miles to work and back, and I need my bike to do so. If something happens Brian is on it 100 percent. This shop also leaves nothing to question. At the end of the job they write out an invoice that maps out cost of parts and labor so it's all there in black and white. Every time I talk with someone who needs their bike worked on I give them Steves number without hesitation. I called up to get help with my bike. I pulled in and wasn't suppose and parked in front where the mechanics work. Gave big attitude when he told me to move it. They said to bring it in and we can look at it. I did and told him it had been sitting for a while. He was the manager of the mechanics Department. He asked me what was wrong with it. I told him again that it had been sitting for awhile but ran great before then. I did know what was wrong with it. That is why I brought it to you to tell me what was wrong with it. His attitude put me off big time. I thought he was a total jerk at this point. Long story short, they fixed the bike. Came in to pay and he was still a jerk. went to the shop this morning with my wheel and tire to have them switch it tire out gentlemen at the front counter tells me $30 flat fee no extra fees no shop fees no fees for air I get there tonight to pick up my wheel and tire and I'm charged $47 and was told it was for shop labor and And incidentals which those were apparently a weigh for when they balanced it I got no phone call no text message saying that there was gonna be extra fees and mind you this is on a 2020 Harley Davidson St. glide with 14,000 miles on it so how bad could the wheel really be understand things happen but at least call your customer this placet is a rip off the guy is rude as shit and unprofessional in every way!!! Bought a used bike from Steve's for a fair price to both parties. The bike was recently serviced and ready to ride. Bought some additional parts to convert my other bike to street legal. Got a great deal on those parts as well and when I determined I was not as good of a mechanic as I used to be, Steve and Brian picked up the slack and got them installed quickly and for a very reasonable price. My first time buying a motorcycle was a positive experience. I searched online and made trips to several shops and dealerships looking for my first motorcycle. I had no intent in buying that weekend but found a motorcycle that met my requirements at Steve's Cycle. Since I already knew my price range and what I wanted the negotiation and sales process was quick and fair. During the test ride the bike had a slight hesitation when accelerating but we both shrugged it off due to the length of time the bike had been sitting. I was asked to bring it back if it became an issue. The bike later that week had the same issue so I contacted Steve. I assumed I would have to get it towed and make arrangements to get it back to the shop. What I didn't expect was Steve to go out of his way and pick the bike up for me after hours. The first visit to the shop didn't resolve the issue however Steve gave me his word they would make it right. When it happened again Steve offered to meet me after hours at the shop due to my work schedule so he could lock it up overnight. They cleaned the jets and tuned it to emission standards. When I got the motorcycle back it ran great! The next cold morning there was no hesitation it fired right up with little to no choke and the bike was smooth and responsive in acceleration. I was very happy they resolved the issue. In short, Steve's Cycle and Steve personally went above and beyond what I would expect a dealership or repair shop would do. While my experience was limited to the purchase of used motorcycle I would still highly recommend Steve's Cycle to someone that needs fair and reliable work done. My adult son and I went to Steve's earlier this week to get a professional opinion on what the next step should be with our recently purchased GS550L Suzuki. WOW.... What a great experience this was! The owner, Steve, came out and spent a tremendous amount of time explaining what his recommendation was for us and our next move. I just got rid of my ATV's when I considered the cost of maintaining these toys. It was only after a second bending over by Steve's cycles in Mesa that I realized that it was time for me to let go.
