It's true what they say, you've tried the rest and this is the best. Steve's pizza is a North Miami staple for the past 50 years and they only keep getting better and better. Delicious new York style pizza served until late night hours. Service is consistent with how busy they get. You can't expect everyone to be sweet 24/7 but you can count on quality pizza in every bite. Ambiance is casual yet fun rough for family time, date night or just a casual nite on the way home. read more

We were there at 11 AM and they opened ten minutes late. No free refills on soft drinks. Most flavors are sold in cans but fountain drinks have a charge for refills. Air conditioning was pleasantly cool on a warm and humid day. We noticed that seating was kind of limited, if the restaurant was busy. Garlic rolls and a large pizza were ordered. The garlic rolls came quickly and were good. (4 stars). They were swimming in oil and garlic was all over them. The pizza was good. (4 stars). Better than most pizza in Miami. It was somewhat oily but not very oily. My wife loved the crust on the pizza. We saw someone walk out with eight boxes of pizza and a few bags of other food. I think it was a pretty good pizza to get in Miami. It is worth trying if visiting Miami. read more

Really excellent pizza in a NY style restaurant. You can sit down or take out. They also have seating outdoors. The service was pretty quick even though they bake the pies fresh while you wait. The price was a bit steep. That is the only reason I would hesitate to return. read more

Went in and got half pineapple and ham and half veggie. The pineapple half was good, as no one complained about that half and it was finished. But the veggie half was horrible. We have leftover slices and no one wants to eat them. There was huge chunks of veggies, bell peppers and raw onions, and the worst was the whole chunk of raw tomato I had covered at the bottom of the toppings. So sad because we had to wait 25 minutes and were hoping for something good. There is literally a sign in store stating that they are the best. They should take it down! After looking around and seeing the state of the restaurant, water dripping from the a/c vent onto one of the booths' seats and table, to the chefs scowling at the guests as they walk in, we should have turned around and gotten something better from the array of great restaurants in the area. read more

The Veggie Stromboli was just ok. It presented itself as a veggie Stromboli with broccoli, spinach and mushrooms. What was in the box was more of a Green Pepper Stromboli with a couple pieces of broccoli and sprinkled with spinach. It came with a large side of VERY sweet marinara sauce. Not good. Wwwwhhaaaaatttt! I am truly shocked that this pizza spot doesn't have 4-5 stars. As a former New Yorker... this is it. This is that local Brooklyn or Bronx spot you are missing. The one you go to after school for a hot fresh slice. It's thin, it folds, it's cheesy, and I'm not sure what pepperoni they use, but it's the best we've tried and they put tons of it. I'm incredibly disappointed with Steve's Pizza. I drove all the way there to pick up a plain xl pie, only to get home and find they'd given me a pepperoni pizza--despite my receipt clearly showing I ordered plain, and the receipt he had put on the pizza box. When I called to resolve this, they agreed that I ordered a plain prefused to refund me or deliver the correct pizza unless I drove back to return the wrong one. Steve's Pizza never fails! Their pizza is the BOMB!.. The sauce is YUMMY!! I've never tried anything else in their menu so I can't comment on that, but what I will Say is that the pepperoni is always on point... yes seating is limited and it's small inside, but it's still my favorite pizza restaurant in S.Fla.. We went on a Friday night after my son's football game. I ordered immediately and got my pizza shortly after.. I thought on a Friday night the restaurant would be busy, but NOPE! Fast! Fast! Customer service here just sucks! It always has. The pizza is good. The dishes are good when they are hot. But far too many times this place messes up on to go or delivery orders. Leaving you with items that you paid for and never got. And then there response is "you can drive back and get the missing item or pay $4 delivery for your spaghetti". Never an I'm sorry or anything. The turn over rate at this place is insane and no one knows what they are doing. I'm surprised this place has lasted this long. Save yourself and go somewhere else . Not worth it! read more

Wow wow wow. The rumors are true. Steve's has exceptional pizza which explained the long line on a Friday night. It's all in the sweet sauce with the perfect tangy cheese. Was this pizza ever good? I grew up on the South west side of Miami so we never came to Steve's. But I always heard it was good. Was it? Not even good cheap, street, NY pizza. Crust is soggy, even after warming an old peace of pizza up. Sauce, not good, Was it ever? Cheap cheese. The place has been around for more than 40'yrs, I'm Guessing 70s, and it looks it. Steves is always a cool spot to stop by for a quick bite. The place has a cool laid-back ambiance that doesn't take itself too seriously. The wait could be a little long sometimes but that's because there is such a large demand for the pizza here. The staff does their best to get it out to you as fast as possible, you can see them hustling in the kitchen. The pizza here is probably the best in Miami, their secret is in the sauce, and their large New York style style pies. You have to try it! I usually stop here when I'm on a Home Depot trip or just passing by with my wife. Highly recommend. read more

I would recommend ordering around lunchtime, as my experience ordering at 7 PM seemed to coincide with a busy hour. Unfortunately, my pizza and wings didn't feel fresh when they arrived. While the sauce was delicious and the cheese and pepperoni were flavorful, the pizza itself was quite dry. After a short 10-minute drive home, I had to reheat it, which was disappointing. The wings had a great flavor, and I loved how crispy they were, but they were tougher than I expected. The ranch sauce, however, was the standout, it was by far the best part of the meal.One thing I found frustrating was that for such a large pizza, the slices weren't properly cut. This place reminds me of high school. I take pride in boasting that my picture was hung on the wall in 2006 along with the thousands of other regulars who were given the privilege to pin a picture up wherever they could find space. I'm all about that curly pepperoni. There's something so satisfying in the combination of the sweet sauce with the soft yet doughy crust topped with oozing cheese and those delicious sizzling portions of pepperoni ready for you in every bite. They're open late and a slice will only run you a few bucks so it's a solid yes for me 9 out of 10 times. Calling ahead for pick up is a great idea but they also deliver to the nearby neighborhood if you're lucky enough to be close enough to them. Steve's never gets old. It never goes out of style. Sure, they don't have their walls covered with photos anymore but the essence hasn't changed. It's certainly one of the most revered pizzerias in Miami so the line is absolutely worth it. read more

I was planning to Tip these folks 100 usd for working on thanksgiving for my 39.00 pizza pickup . However , the arrogance to underpay me my change and then cop an attitude and treat the customer poorly for asking for the correct change was a Big insult . Too bad they can't count the correct change ( always check your change at Steve's Pizza ) Tim is a bad representation of my favorite pizza place . One of my to-go spots for pizza at late hours! The pizza is really good here, American style for sure, not your typical Italian pizza. You can see how they make the pizza while you wait for your order. The slice is really big and the sauce is on the little sweet side which I love! Now, they don't have the best customer service, once you place your order, you wait to hear your name to get your pizza and you eat it there quick or take it to go. It's not a fancy place, nor super clean but it's a quick late-night spot but pizza is worth it! You will probably find long lines sometimes but it's really good and always fresh and just out of the oven. read more

I have driven by Steve's the last couple of years and thought nothing of it. Despite the lines of people waiting and the appeasing commentary I never considered visiting. Well life works in mysterious ways and I found myself there on a Saturday night. The scenery and people were amazing. I ordered a half cheese and half pepperoni. The food was life changing, the sauce was delicious and the crust was perfect. They did mess up the appetizer when I ordered they meatball they supplied my table with wings instead... the manager immediately corrected the order and I was blown away by the taste and texture of their meatballs. I love Steve's pizza!! If you know, you know! Their pizzas are fantastic and their team is so helpful! Whether it's family night, the Super Bowl, or a large birthday party - Steve's has you covered! We ordered 12 pizzas for a birthday party and each pizza was made perfectly! We called the day before the party to give the team a heads-up. Then we called the day-of (around noon) to give the team enough time to prepare. The party was around 6pm so we scheduled pick-up around 5:30pm. Timing and pick-up was perfect and the pizzas were ready to go! Whether it's a slice or a full pie, Steve's is the best! Atmosphere is casual and the food is delicious! 10/10 all around and we love their signature meatball topping! They also have vegan options! read more

Unfortunately, the illusion fades rather quickly. The first sign of trouble arrives with the server sporting a rather impressive lip piercing, followed closely by a colleague whose diamond nose stud could probably be seen from space. Not exactly the ambiance one expects when aiming for "elegant." Despite the abundance of servers floating around the dining room, none seem to notice when your knife dramatically dives off the table and lands on the floor -- where it enjoys a long, lonely stay. Water service is also quite innovative: they simply leave the entire bottle at the table, which seems less about generosity and more about avoiding the inconvenience of returning to refill your glass. The food? Sadly just as uninspired. From the octopus to the $68 Milanese, every dish managed the impressive feat of being completely flavorless. The manager did bring out complimentary meatballs and two slices of cake, which was appreciated, but it didn't address the actual issue. I requested the veal entrée (about $125) as a gesture of goodwill, but that request was denied. I left feeling that my concerns were acknowledged but not truly resolved. THE VIBE The ambiance is everything you'd expect from Carbone- stylish, energetic, and full of old-school charm. It's a beautiful restaurant with a lively atmosphere, making it a great place for a special occasion. Ultimately, the atmosphere and attentive wait staff weren't enough to make up for what felt like poor value and an unsatisfactory resolution to a legitimate concern. At this level of dining, guests should leave feeling impressed--not questioning whether they received what they paid for. Our total bill was close to $1000. UNACCEPTABLE.
