My initial impression of Randy was he was a smooth talking bull s******. I dropped off my BMW Z3 after a collision. Randy is not a Z3 guy it turns out. It took Randy two weeks to produce a quote for me to submit to the insurance company. The idea was that he was going to try to find used parts to get the repair cost down, so potentially he could do the repairs, avoiding a full total from the insurance company. After two weeks, he produced the same high bid (non used parts) that he initially had within a day of dropping it off. He has ALOT of excuses when you call. Why he couldn't find used parts is beyond me, it took me 60 seconds to find the same parts, same color as the existing color. All parts used, for about $900....All of the parts are bolt on. Randy's quote was over 9k..lol Whatever, the insurance company gave me a good deal to retain the vehicle. So I was happy enough, wasn't going to write a bad review. I called and gave Randy a heads up that I would be picking up my car. I planned to do repairs myself. When I arrived to pickup my car, I was floored how bad the condition was. It was filthy, covered in debris, some kind of overspray, used it as a cup holder and overall trashed it. The top is BRAND new, returned filthy. I have attached a picture of the before and after of when I dropped off and when I picked up. Why would you not cover my car? The manager at the garage did not apologize. .he said " it's not a big deal" Randy left me a message with no apology, I'm good. Too much BS! read more

My 1971 chevelle needed body work done due to losing my rear driverside tire while driving after leaving another shop that did work on my car. "Life's Too Short for a Crappy Paint Job" -- Believing Stewart's tag line and having read the reviews, I went to his shop, thought I interviewed the painter (he had all the right answers) and dropped my car off. It has been a tough and expensive lesson. Stewart Customs and Collision, Inc. turned repairing a shadow on my passenger door into causing the entire right side of the car needing to be done over at a different shop capable of doing the work right. Specifically, preparation was rushed and poor resulting in tons of sanding marks visible through the "completed" finish. On top of this work, the clearcoat was so incredibly heavy it looked like someone put it on with a paint roller, waited for it to dry and then wetsanded and polished as much possible. Curiously, Stewart cannot see any of this at all -- it's like we were not standing there together looking at the same car. Hard to believe since three professional car painters saw the car after the work was done, pointed out to me what was wrong, and explained to me what had happened causing it to look that way. This includes the shop where the car is being re-repaired. Adding insult to this nonsense, Stewart has repeatedly complimented his shop on the work: "Top notch", Very nice job done" and "Better quality than factory". Save yourself a trip to Stewart Customs. Throwing your money in the garbage would be easier on you and your car. read more

Update 5/2019: I currently have a BAR investigator representing me. We had a different auto body repair shop do a tear down and inspection on my car. They found over 2.5k in corrective repairs that will need to be done due to short cuts by Stewart's staff. He was very professional and worked with Geico to get me two brand new replacement OEM doors. The repairs took less than a week and everything turned out perfect. After stopping at 5 or 6 other paint shops and not finding anyone interested in working on my car, I finally meet Randy at Stewart's customs. At first I discussed with Randy about just touching up some bad areas but He pointed out 5 or 6 areas that all ready didn't match along with some issues of surface preparation which caused the paint to flake off. He told me that he just didn't feel right about patching it and really didn't want to put his name on it . So after some reluctance on my part to spend the money I decided to have Randy repaint the whole car. It was late summer and car show season was almost over and I knew that I wouldn't be driving the car till spring , I dropped it off and told him I would not bother him till next spring as to give him plenty of time to work on it, I lied. I would call him and in fact he would call me as to keep me informed on the progress. Along the way I also had Randy and his crew take care of a couple of other mechanical issues, install new seats and rebuild the whole trunk latch assembly. Brought in my 1991 Camaro Z28 convertible for getting subframe connectors welded onto it and quotes on other future work and Randy and his staff did an amazing job. The car feels firm and loving it. The other work done was to the Doors with worn out parts by the hinges replaced. The doors dont lock up midway anymore and next up will be the latches and strikers to get it to close smoothly. Will also be taking car in for steering system check and fix as well as tail light led panel installation and tail light lenses to be clearcoated. If I could give 10 stars I would. This shop hands down is amazing. I hit a poll and got my passengers side door and fender. Contacted Randy over yelp message at 9pm at night to get a quote. I didn't think I would get a answer right away because of the time and it being a Saturday. 30min later Randy was messaging me back asking about the damage. Of course it's hard to get a quote without seeing the car but gave me as much info as he could. Told me to come in on Monday to take a look. Right from the start I knew I wanted to take my Jeep here. The customer service alone sold me on picking his body shop. They where on it with everything and hounest from the start. Told me they would help me along the way. I've never made a insurance claim before so this was already stressful but with Randys help it deff made a stressful situation better. Took pictures of everything and priced out everything I needed. Dropped my car off on a Monday and that day they started work. They kept me very well informed and updated. I got my Jeep back today and I am thrilled with how amazing my Jeep looks. You can't tell I was ever in any type of accident. My Jeep was detailed and looked better then the day I bought it. Also his crew is amazing. I took my Subaru to Stewart Customs after a collision. I was concerned where to take the car because it had some custom work done to the areas that got damaged and I wanted to make sure I got it back in the same form, both mechanically and visually. All in all, Randy was great through the entire process and made sure I was satisfied in the end. He worked with the insurance adjuster to make sure they would cover special parts sourced from local machine shops and even worked with me to get the car to/from his shop when it was convenient for me. I had them fix a couple minor dents and dings while they were at it and the car looked better than it did before the accident in the end. I saw some of the other projects they had going on while I was there and it looked like they do great work all around. As expected, there were a few issues that popped up during the repair, but Randy was quick to resolve them. 5 stars for customer service. read more
