I wrote an email to the owner of Sticker Stop a week ago. There was no response of any kind. ----------------- I was at your 620 location to get my car inspected. It is a 1996 Volvo 850 with over 200k miles that I have put a lot of money into restoring and maintaining. There are not error lights on my car, and it purrs like a kitten. Shortly I got there the man drove my car around to the bay he came in and asked me outside to tell me had was going to fail it because of brakes. Perplexed, I said, "you gotta be kidding me, my car stops extremely well". My brakes do not squeal or grind. He said it did not pass his stop test. Okay, well whatever, it has an active ABS system, and the power brakes on the car are not the soft squishy kind, you gotta push on the peddle. I am sure that another shop would pass the service brakes. But he also said that the emergency brake does not pass. So at that point I was fairly irritated and took my insurance paper and left. When I got home to put my emergency brake on since I have steep driveway I realized that it was completely loose, the guy at the shop had apparently jerked my e brake handle up with such force that he pulled the wire out completely. It was not like this when I brought to your shop, and I know that because I park my car in my steep driveway everyday and I always put my ebrake on. The ebrake test on your site says this; "The parking brake test is performed by engaging the brake while the vehicle is in drive and taking the foot off of the service brake (your main brake). If the car rolls forward it will fail." Well I can certainly tell you that before I left your shop that day my car could certainly pass that test. But it won't now because this guy jerked the cable completely out. I am not sure what else to say other than your employees should be more careful with cars, and yes, my car is old and it might not have a new emergency brake like a brand new car, but it should also not have such force applied to it that something on my car is broken. read more

Not a 10 minute inspection like advertised. Be prepared to wait 30 minutes on your inspection.

My inspection had been out for a few months and I decided it was time to go legit again, seeing as I had all my other automotive ducks in a row. I was slightly nervous since my vehicle is almost old enough to legally drink, has an atmospheric blow-off valve and aftermarket exhaust (93 Toyota MR2 Turbo). These guys took my car in without fuss and performed only the required inspections. I did catch the employee trying to look at my engine (which I don't believe is mandatory) but after finding nothing in the frunk (front trunk) and nothing in the back, he scratched his head for a moment and carried on with his required tasks. I was charged the state required fee for the inspection and they did not attempt to sell me anything I didn't need. Overall a pleasant experience and even with the state required emissions test for my car (pre obd-II), I was out of there in about 20 minutes. read more

They should do for all customers what they do for one. Last day of the month and they have one tech when they opened and six cars to be processed. I was in on Saturday and needed the license plate light fixed to pass inspection. When I was waiting on Saturday a gentleman walked back in that had replaced his windshield wiper and they service him while the others waited for their turn. But today they wanted me to wait for over an hour for what would have taken two minutes to verify it had been fixed. I had paid on Saturday and the light was the only item to be looked at. I won't be using any Sticker Stops again! read more

Not the most friendly guy. Grabbed my keys w/o asking any questions then set off my alarm (remote was on the keys). Squealing my tires as he pulled my vehicle around. Really? THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE I WILL GO TO GET AN INSPECTION STICKER!!! I first went to Kwick Kar off of Lakeline and Cypress Creek in Cedar Park, and they failed my inspection, charged me $30 and wanted me to do $1,200 to "repair" a power steering fluid leak, I DID NOT HAVE!!! I went to Sticker Stop, and got my Inspection the same day my vehicle "failed" at Kwick Kar... Kwick Kar, just sees a high-mileage vehicle as a way to make money! They will fail your cars inspection and later give you a bogus repair bill to get your car to pass! Plus the staff at Sticker Stop are GREAT regular guys, NOT methheads like at Kwick Kar.... GREAT PLACE!!! read more

I got there at 5:45 today, waited about five minutes until the one guy working told me they didn't have time, because there were three other people there, and they close at 6:00. If I am there before 6:00, then I got there before you closed, and I should be able to get service. Maybe you need to change your hours to close at 5:30 so you can leave by 6:00, since that is effectively what you are doing. I have come to this location for several years, but will never be coming back after this. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. I just pulled up at 5:50 on a weekday and was turned away. The employee stated they didn't have time. There was one car in each bay and they close at 6:00. They advertise that it takes 10 minutes for an inspection but I guess staying late 10 minutes isn't worth the money they would charge. If I'm at the store before closing you should still be willing to help out. I hope the owner understands that his young employee turned both me and my money away during regular business hours. read more

STAY AWAY! These guys couldn't inspect a donkey. When it first opened, I was a fan. A couple of years ago, the faces changed and new management was brought in. This place has been crap ever since. This place is right down the street from me and I was ALWAYS a repeat customer. I was in there once every couple of month as I have a few classic cars, and my daily drivers. They broke the emergency brake on two of my classic cars. They pushed down too hard and broke the sensor on one, and on my truck they RIPPED THE HANDLE OUT OF THE DASH! I quit going there until the other day. I was in need of an inspection on my daily driver, and they were the only ones open. I gave them one last try. They supposedly inspect cars, but he did not know where the engine was on my Smart car. He stated that he needed to check the belt and fluid levels which is NOT in the Texas Code for inspecting vehicles. I was then told that I needed new wipers when the wipers I had were near perfect, but he said with new wipers it will pass. I went ahead and replaced the wipers and took the car back. When it was my turn to be inspected, he ran the test again and I was told that my inspection would cost more because the car is registered in a different county also that the inspection would only last until the registration went out. I told him that I would risk the ticket and take it somewhere else. If this was the last inspection place on earth, I would sell my car and ride a bike everywhere. They have HORRIBLE customer service and take forever to get things done. DO NOT GO TO STICKER STOP. read more

I took my car there last Friday for an inspection. I was very disappointed to find that the plastic that holds my gas cap had been cut during the inspection so now I will have to hold the cap in my hand every time I pump gas from now on. I will not be going back. read more

The staff here are very friendly and have great customer service. Had a break light on and the guy put in break fluid at no charge. Also dont gouge you if windshield wipers need to be replaced. Its great going to a place that value its cutomers. Highly recommend! read more

Had my car in to Sticker Stop on 620 on saturday for the second year in a row. The first year a young lady did my car and had me out very fast. This year was just as good. A young man named Dwayne inspected my car. I had a headlight out and it would have failed, but Dwayne, even though he said they didnt sell headlights, pulled the lense off and saw that the bulb was just loose. He was very knowledgable and seemed to know exactly what he was doing. Everything was put back together and I was still out of there in 15 min. with no extra charge. Will definately return for year 3. Kudos to the fast friendly service and very helpful people. read more

I would give these guys a 4 star but the last visit was weird. We've been going to these guys for years. They're super fast when you avoid the end or beginning of the month. This last time the inspector told me my car's tint was too dark when it wasn't. I'm not sure why my 2 year old car with factory installed tint failed for this. I didn't even know tint was part of the inspection. So I took it somewhere else (it took longer than 10 minutes) and there was no issue. When I asked about the tint they said tint wasn't part of the inspection. How odd. So after years of speedy service I'll have to reconsider if I will use Sticker Stop again. read more

Highly NOT Recommended! These guys are scam artist. I took my extremely clean and functional Mercedes Benz in to get my sticker. They fail my vehicle for an 8th of inch on my tire tread.
