I found this place on Yelp as we were wandering around looking for our coffee before driving home. This place has all the good vibes and wonderful staff. I ordered a mocha and my partner got the happy camper. Both were served beautifully with fancy art. I felt bad ordering it to go so if you have a chance, order and have it there so you can enjoy the latte art. Next time I stop by I want to try one of their specialty lattes, such as the tonic latte. They use really unique ingredients in their specialty drinks so just ask. The happy camper really brings back memories of camping and making the first smore of the trip. This was my first trip to Sticks Coffee! It sure won't be my last either! When you first enter the store you're greeted by baristas and other staff! It was our first time there so they were helpful in answering our questions regarding drinks and food! We got their specialty drinks, the Happy Camper and Sticks Latte. We also ordered a Ricotta and Egg toast! There was catchy jazz like music playing within the coffee shop. There's WiFi to work and warm (but not stuffy) heat for the winter! Tables were all clean no trash anywhere. Seats were available and they even have an outside patio too! Our order came out quick! Our cups of coffee were left open just in case we needed adjustments but they perfect! The presentation and taste of the drinks were good! Our toast came out and it was delicious as well! This was our first stop during our Yosemite trip and it was an amazing way to start the trip! The staff members gave so much attention to Mickey and he was loving it. The food here tasted AMAZING! The portion sizes were perfect and very flavorful (and I'm not usually a breakfast person!) Sticks is so charming! It feels like an episode of Schitts Creek in that it's a deeply lovely, heartwarming, friendly shop in a small but charming town. Like probably almost everyone else, we stopped here on the way to Yosemite and I am delighted that we did. I have a friend from Mariposa who said that Sticks is a true gem and it sure is! First of all, the building is really beautiful and has the most gorgeous back patio. Second of all, the staff are SO FRIENDLY! I love them??? They're also very explicit about being a welcoming space for queer folks and I felt so loved and held, truly Sticks thank you for this. We got some sandwiches and skipped the coffee since it was past my caffeine time, and i def wished I got something anyway because it all sounds great. We got a grilled cheese and the turkey sandwich and both were GOOD and made. with love. I will be back anytime I am around, and thank you Sticks for being such a soft space to land. read more

Took a trip out to Mariposa for a birthday party and we couldn't resist stopping in town first! And I'm so glad we did! This coffee shop is better than honestly most places in the metropolitan Bay Area! Really unique house made syrups. Sticks latte features fennel(was delicious and subtle) partner got the dry hopped latte which was delicious as well and had the characteristic hip bitterness. Really refreshing! They also serve food and beer! Great outdoor patio, lovely kind folks working the joint, and clean bathroom! Love that such a small town of 1,500 has such a special and exceptional cafe! This was a place I had bookmarked to check out because the happy camper coffee looked really good. I ordered the toffee topped cookie, 2 happy camper coffee drinks and a breakfast sandwich. I had asked if it was sweet like a frappachino whenI bought it and the guys said yes. But it was super bitter. The employee who makes the drinks asked what I was looking for and I asked for sugar packets. He looked so offended that I didn't like the drink. He said he didn't have sugar but could add more vanilla syrup in it, so I said sure. He had me taste it asking if it was better.. I lied and said yea because I didn't want to hurt his feelings. Compared to our coffee at the hotel, this coffee was absolutely amazing. It's good to have a coffee shop in Mariposa, which is a pretty small town and doesn't have a ton of resources. Yes you can get awesome coffee and good value in a tourist town. Coffee was delicious and I took the server's recommendation to try the Stix latte. It is lightly sweetened with a syrup of star anise and fennel, with a sprinkle of licorice powder on top. If you hate those flavors you probably shouldn't try it but otherwise please do. It was divine. We also had an avocado and egg toast, which came laden with generous amounts of both and garnished with "everything" seasoning. Prices were very fair. More than you'd pay at a gas station or in Arkansas, but less than many places in California, especially those in tourist areas. Staff was super friendly and kind. I think it was a little too strong-tasting but still good and toasty. I forgot to ask for oat milk but they were nice enough to use it instead of whole milk; thank you, barista! Also ordered the granola, which is yogurt with granola and an assortment of fruits. I believe it was Greek yogurt, which balanced out the sweetness of the granola and fruits. Wanted to stop by Mariposa on the way to Yosemite national park and we stumbled upon Sticks! A small family style shop that has the coffee but also baked goods and some breakfast eats as well. I opted for the traditional iced latte while my girlfriend got the smores latte which she really enjoyed. The barista and cashier were extremely nice and welcoming which is a great way to leave a lasting impression on those wanting to go into Yosemite. They have a nice small menu which eliminates the analysis paralysis of choosing a menu item. They are also know their drinks when I asked what the specialty lattes were all about.
