This place is a fun and hip place to visit. Love the art that changes out and is an available for purchase. The service is always friendly and helpful. The food is light and bright and so good- go to is ricotta toast with egg and of course the campfire. Pro tip- don't eat the toasted marshmallow, dunk it and let it melt into your coffee. You won't be disappointed. Great place to stop on the way up to Yosemite. And don't sleep on their fresh roasted coffee beans- not over roasted and always fresh. read more

let me start this review off by saying this.... GO TO STICKS! Don't even think twice, Mariposa has great coffee shops but when it comes down to it Sticks is undoubtedly the best. My boyfriend and I lived in Yosemite seasonally for the winter for work & we would make a special trip just for Sticks every week. Words can not describe how much we love this coffee shop!! The thing that separates them the most is by far their consistency - I would get ricotta & egg toast with a matcha every time & it was amazing every time. + the staff is helpful and passionate about what they do always a great experience! read more

This place is very cute. The person who worked behind the counter was so friendly andpatiently answered our questions about their syrup varieties. Amazing coffee and service here! I stopped by Sticks this morning on my way into Yosemite to get my daily caffeine fix and I'm so happy I did. Finding Sticks is a bit tricky since the street it's on is partially closed for a restaurant's outdoor seating area, but you can park outside of Subway, walk up the street a bit to the right side of the outdoor seating area, and it will be on your right side. Walking up to the cafe, I loved the way the front looked so I took a picture (see attached). Going inside, I was immediately greeted by the barista even though they were in the middle of creating another drink. While they were making the drink, they asked me what I'd like and I ordered a Sticks Latte. After finishing the first drink, the barista quickly but fastidiously made mine. The way the creamy milked was poured and the toppings shaved from a grinder directly in front of me was amazing and made me want my drink immediately! They even left the top off for me so I could admire the work of art, but gave me the lid on the side so I could cover it later. The Sticks Latte really tasted amazing! Silky smooth milk and espresso flavor with the interesting flavor of the shavings on top (still unsure on what it is, but it was good) made for a truly lovely morning coffee break. I think I might have to go here again before I leave Yosemite! read more

Sticks is great! Went here while on a little retreat with my wife and friends and was just so impressed with how tasty and satisfactory our food and coffee was. I got the lox toast and Happy Camper (large, of course) and liked it so much that i got another Happy Camper. Now, i would've gotten a second toast but i was already on the verge of a food coma despite the coffee already in my system. Satisfaction guaranteed with wonderful baristas makes Sticks Coffee a definite go to in my books. They also have seasonal options so if i'm ever back in the area i will definitely be giving their seasonals a go. 10/10 recommend whoever is in the area to go check them out and show them some love! It's one of the good coffee spots in town. It's a small but cozy cafe with really good drinks like the happy camper and the Chai tea and some pastries and actual food menu items. The cashiers are nice and help you out if you're not sure what to try. They have cute little merch like sweatshirts, and stickers to take sticks with you wherever you go. It's also super close to the hotel/motel, so that would be a great advantage if you stay there. All in all, this coffee shop has it all. The only con is that the hours are sometimes unpredictable, so that's all. If you're visiting mariposa, stop by. read more

Unfortunately I did not get to try anything on the menu or the coffee (which I love drinking fyi). But I did get to experience the customer service which is why I am leaving this review. I grew up in Mariposa and visit at least every other year but I hadn't been down to River Rock in a long time (I do usually just go to High Country for a sandwich as I used to work there and I love the good people and the consistency). I checked the River Rock menu online prior to going down and it appeared to still be there, even though I was aware of Sticks being there, I just thought it must be a joint venture. Upon entering Sticks it was apparent that it was not the same, which I did confirm with a staff member who was friendly. However, as I was walking out I made eye contact with another staff member who appeared concerned about why we had just came in and then were leaving. I tried to explain but he just said rudely that he couldn't hear anything I just said, so I was like fine, no biggie and kept walking outside to call my sister to tell her that I couldn't order her a Denmark sandwich (that was a sandwich on Red Rock's menu). Well, the staff member followed us out and asked us what I had said and my sister and I tried to explain that we grew up here and simply didn't know that Red Rock had changed and we were looking to order a Denmark sandwich for our other sister who had asked for one. He rudely replied that they had sandwiches but not from Denmark (duh) and asked if it was one with havarti and we said no it had sprouts, and then he told us that we could just go to High Country then because they were still the same. I mean it was weird like he was argumentative and it was just a strange interaction. Well it turns out he is actually the owner and I went to school with his brother-in-law and his mother-in-law is my parent's mail carrier. It's a small, small world. Long story short, I will not be ever getting a cup of coffee from Sticks. I hope Zach can learn to treat people better. Word gets around in a small town. read more

This became our go-to stop before heading off to Yosemite during our visit. The chai latte with oat milk was incredibly delicious, as well as the lox sourdough toast. If you have time to sit and enjoy, I would highly recommend it, especially since they are trying to reduce the use of to-go containers and cups. Stopped by for coffee here on our way back home to the Bay Area and I wish we would've stopped by each morning of our stay! Service was friendly + welcoming and our drinks were delicious. Stayed in Mariposa for a week and this coffee shop was the best, the lattes were amazing and so was the food! The customer service was awesome too. On my last day in town one of the guys asked what I was doing for the day and i mentioned we were going to Bass Lake while we waited for a package to arrive. He gave me directions to a much cooler spot that was way closer. Spent some time there, went swimming in the river and caught a couple of fish! read more
