Outside view of the restaurant that overlooks the famous 18th hole at Pebble Beach

Stopped in for breakfast before a golf round at Pebble Beach. The ambiance and service was excellent. The 4 star was for the value but what should you expect when you dine at the resort?

Stillwater at Pebble Beach has a great view. The Ricotta Pull Away Bread was warm, soft, and delicious with the whipped honey butter. The Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich was crispy with pickles, coleslaw, and hot honey aioli. Old Fashioned had 2 cherries, but ice cubes were small.

Hubs and I went on a golfing trip to Pebble Beach with friends. Our first meal at the Pebble Beach Lodge was at Stillwater, a classy restaurant overlooking the 18th hole of the Pebble Beach course. We started with Charred Amberjack Tartare; I love Amberjack sushi so I was very excited to try this! It didn't live up to my expectations, was bland, although the bed of rice it was served on was crispy. Our 2nd appetizer was the Ricotta Pull Apart bread. This was better, it was hot and soft. My entree was Roasted Pepper Mafalda (pasta with various vegetables). By this part of our vacation, I was craving vegetables so I really enjoyed this dish. This was the best dish of our meal. Hubs ordered the Maple Leaf Farms duck breast, which he did enjoy a lot. It was tender and flavorful. For dessert, we ordered the smoked s'mores to share. It was unique, but too smoky for me. I could taste the smoke. I'd rather it be smoked only enough to smell it but not too much to taste it. Overall, I enjoyed the ambiance of this restaurant, especially watching the golfers trying to finish their round in the dark (at 9pm). I leaned more into the ambiance for this rating.

The code was absolutely amazing, and I lied to desserts. But to be honest I wasn't wowed by the main menu. The food was good but nothing really exciting by way of flavor execution or creamy with the dishes that I would expect from an upscale restaurant like this. We also found the service to be really slow. We only saw our waiter to order, and get our check. It took a while to get our food, and our water glasses were not filled very often (maybe twice in the two hours we sat outside). You definitely pay for the view, but it is truly amazing. The restaurant overlooks the last hole on the golf course with the expansive bay behind it. Overall the food isn't very exciting and I probably wouldn't be rushing back here for anything except the view and atmosphere.

Stopped by for a quick bite for lunch and had a great experience. Our food and drinks came out quick and our server was super friendly. The food isn't anything special but the views make up for it.

The Lodge at Pebble Beach Visited after their November 2025 reopening following a remodel. What should have been a flagship dining experience was a complete failure. Food: We ordered the wild cod and American Wagyu zabuton steak. * The cod was inedible--undercooked, mushy, and emitted an overwhelmingly fishy odor that strongly suggested improper handling. To make matters worse, the kitchen failed to include the sauce; we had to ask for it. * The zabuton steak, ordered medium rare, arrived blue rare and nearly raw. This is not a difference of opinion--it was a basic execution failure. * We calmly raised these issues with management. No corrective action was taken. No replacement, no apology of substance. (Photos attached.) Service: Service was equally unacceptable. * Our server was disengaged and unable to provide even basic menu guidance, raising serious concerns about staff training. * We had to repeatedly prompt for essentials--water refills, status updates, and follow-ups. * Timeline matters: seated at 6:10 PM, ordered at 6:20 PM, food arrived at 6:50 PM. A 30-minute wait for poorly executed food is indefensible at a property of this caliber. Atmosphere: The remodel does little to save the experience. The bar is visually pleasant; everything else is forgettable. 5.5/10. Final Verdict: Would I return? Absolutely not. Pebble Beach trades on a reputation of excellence. This restaurant is currently riding that name without delivering anything close to it. Until the kitchen leadership and service standards are seriously corrected, this is not worth your time or money.

Dinner and dessert was amazing -- got the Wagyu which was cooked perfectly. Our server Tessie was so kind, outgoing, and absolutely made our tables night (celebrating two graduations and one birthday!). Would definitely come back again.

So so good!! My dad found it and it was such a pretty place. Everyone looked happy and being able to look at the golf course and water from where you were sitting was amazing. The food was awesome and my burger was super juicy. Loved everyone there and the service was good.

Randomly ended up here while driving along the 17 mile drive after we started to get the munchies. So happy that we did. The view overlooking the golf course with the mountains and ocean is absolutely stunning. Postcard worthy. We just grabbed some nibbles but underestimated how much we'd love them. Do yourself the honor of ordering the tuna tartar and the calamari. Send me a note about how blessed you are to have had me provide you that recommendation.

My daughter and I started with the calamari, which was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. For my entrée, I had the sea bass, easily one of the best I've had in a long time. It was crispy on the outside, moist and flaky on the inside, and the accompanying sauce took it to another level of flavor. Whenever I see sea bass on a menu, I never pass it up, and I have to say Flying Fish Grill's version is now one of my all-time favorites. There's a nice outdoor bar area where you can get drinks and appetizers while waiting for your seat. Slow cooked pork belly : 20/10 must try! The crispy outside texture was perfect and the charcoal taste complemented the pork belly fat really well. Szechuan pork ribs: 7/10 Not bad, but the Szechuan flavor lacked and it tasted more like Sriracha. Half butterfish and half ahi tuna dish: 8/10 the sauces were PHENOMENAL!! I'm going to need to get their recipe for their fragrant herbaceous green sauce and the coconutty umami white sauce. The butterfish had a bit of lingering fishiness but the texture was nice with a carmelized crust and soft insides. The ahi tuna was to be expected. Watch out for the spicy wasabi brown sauce! Dark chocolate raspberry molten lava cake: 8/10 I love lava cakes and they gave us an extra cup of dark chocolate to pour on top. I wish the raspberry flavor tasted more natural though. Service: 100/10 everyone was fantastic and our server was incredibly hospitable and nice.

There weren't any seats available at the moment, and when my wife asked how things might look in an hour, Debbie gave her attitude. We decided to go anyway and wait it out. We arrived around 6PM and noticed an empty table for 4 and an empty table for 2 outside. My wife went in to check, and Debbie again said there were no seats outside. When my wife pointed out the empty tables, Debbie just repeated that there were no seats, then took down my wife's number to call when something opened up. We walked around the center for about 35 minutes and came back -- the same tables were still empty, so I went in myself. I got the same response from Debbie: no seats, and she already had my wife's number. I asked if I should just make a reservation for 7PM since that's when they started taking them. She told me a table would be ready before then and that she'd call my wife. We waited another 15 minutes, and after 45 minutes of staring at empty tables, we decided to leave. At 7:15 I called to check on our table, and Debbie said it was ready. When I reminded her she was supposed to call us, she said she never told me that -- that I'd only said we were coming in at 7, and our table had been ready. I told her that wasn't right, that she'd specifically said she had my wife's number and would call. She just repeated that the table was ready, and I told her we weren't coming. Unfortunately, I can't speak to the food, since our experience with Debbie was bad enough that we didn't want to waste any more time. If Debbie is working, I'd avoid trying to eat here.

I wanted something to drink that wasn't sweet, so I tried their raspberry ice tea. They used a sugary syrup to flavor the tea, and that was a strike out. It was sweeter than a soda, so it went back and I swapped it out for a plain unsweetened ice tea. Then we tried the cheesy garlic bread, which we were really looking forward to. Welp, it came out with mozzarella cheese and a ton of corn. No butter. No garlic. We all looked at each other when we tried it. Ok, let's try their brussel sprouts. Those are hard to mess up - but sure enough, they managed to. They deep fried them to the point they were black and charred. There wasn't anything left of the brussel sprout itself, it was mostly crunchy charcoal. At this point, we all ordered something we assumed would be safe for our main. I got the sliders and a side salad. I had the salad but only of the sliders. The cheese on it was queso, like you use to dip chips, so it was ran all over the place and the burger was a grease ball. I won't even get into what everyone else had, but they had similar experiences. Overall, it was pretty disappointing. Maybe there are other things or other times where this place is better, but it was a swing and a miss for us.
