We live right by and love the area/ambiance. We had a good experience in 2020, but twice since have been disappointing. We went during the week. I don't want to write it off, but the drink we got from the bar was terrible, way too strong, the fries were less enjoyable than fast food fries, and the other appetizer we received tasted like it had been just been cooked from frozen. It's just too expensive for that kind of experience. I had enjoyed their MAHI MAHI salad and roast pork in the past. Service was good. I love me some Stinger's! Been here twice already and almost cursed myself for not doing a review already. One of the best parts about Stinger's is their location right by the water. Great ambience and atmosphere on the waterfront. The Stinger's fries were my favorite. The steak teriyaki was said not to be that great (wasn't mine) but honestly I would have never ordered that at this type of restaurant myself. Cheesesteak egg rolls and fried tomatoes were also good. I like how nice and open it is and sitting on the porch was great! I didn't get an entree as it was still kind of early for dinner for me. So I will be back for dinner! read more

My friend and I both ordered it, and we were throughly disappointed, even prompting him in a first-time-ever post-dinner autopsy to write me several hours later, "Sandwich was an unmitigated disaster." The girls at the front desk were polite enough in telling us we had to rush to the bar area to get our order in before the kitchen closed, but my friend and I were both terribly put off by the rules posted everywhere: no sitting at a table for longer than 1.5 hours; we don't seat incomplete parties, et al. Always fast courteous service, waitstaff and bussers are always running around and taking care of business. Wonderful dinner here to celebrate our anniversary. We sat at the railing overlooking the waterfront and it was awesome. We sipped cocktails then enjoyed the fried tomatoes appetizer, potato broccoli soup, grilled chicken avocado on a soft roll, roasted turkey BLT on cranberry walnut bread and limoncello cheesecake for dessert. Moved nearby recently, and I think I've found my go to spot! The ambiance by the marina is so serene even with 95 being a stone throw away. The food and frozen drinks were really great. I could've done without the other drinks though as they were mostly ice. The cheesesteak eggrolls in particular were fantastic. The servers are great. Removing one star just because the food was a little slow to come out, but it was definitely hot and fresh. read more

Great place for lunch or dinner. Service and food is always above and beyond in my opinion. We are always greeted warmly at the door and the waitstaff is always polite. Quiet views of the waterfront and quite relaxing. Food and drinks never disappoint in my opinion. I recommend their speciality drinks and daily specials. My go to is the Roast Pork Italiano sandwich with garlic, broccoli rabe and cheese on a long sesame seeded roll. Add long hots for $1.50 (not too hot, very tasty). Perfectly cooked, slightly crispy, thick, Krinkle cut fries are the best with a coarse grind of sea salt. Good craft beer selection on draft. Make sure to go when the weather is nice. Chris, the waiter was fantastic with service and recommendations. He alone was worth the trip. When I dine I like to give waiters two choices asking them which are best. He was right on with the Mahi Taco Appetizer, $15. If you want your taste buds to do a little dance in your mouth order this. My partner's appetizer was a small Caesar Salad $5 which she enjoyed. At Chris's recommendation we both ordered the Waterfront Burger $17 which is angus, crab imperial, cooper sharp, old bay mayo, on brioche bun. Wahoo!!! It's a winner. Two cons; It's loud. If you're looking for a romantic get-together settle on eye gazing, hand holding because you won't be able to hear each other. There are signs all over stating patrons have 1.5 hours at each sitting. After Chris took our drink orders another waitress came over and gave us the warning. At least I think it was because we couldn't hear to understand and unsure if she thought we exceeded our time or if she wanted to make sure we knew the rules. Years ago I checked out this locations predecessor, A taste of Key West which was a divey glorified Tiki Hut with a great view. Apparently the township bought the property and worked with some local chefs to combine the marina with a restaurant. The buildings outside is beautiful and the inside is very nice. The outside seating along the water is great, the outside bar, which has retracting doors to give you an unobscured view to the water is a great touch. If you go deeper inside you have a nice standard sports bar tucked away from the outside and the elements. The bar areas have a lot of seating options and TV's. Ambiance wise this is a great place. I decided to sit at the "outside" bar facing the water which provided a great view. The bartender was really nice and friendly. The food ... well it was ok. I ordered a Cubano sandwich which took forever and when the bartender noticed that, she comped me a beer. Good move! My sandwich finally came out and had a soggy bottom. Not a good move! The Cubano Sandwich - Mojo marinated pork, fire smoked ham, spicy garlic pickles, cumin spiced mustard & swiss on Cuban panini bread. The panini bread was not flat/pressed so it was puffy and didn't have that slight crispiness. The flavors were a bit unbalanced and the mustard was plain yellow mustard. It was a let down. I think on my next trip I'll get a salad and enjoy the view of the boats and the Darby Creek. They get four stars because of the ambiance (for this area of delco it's tough to find a view like this) and the bartender, but the food was a 2.5-3. read more

I went to Stinger's Waterfront with coworkers for dinner on a weekday. It was fairly busy, but there wasn't a wait to get seated. It is definitely a great location for special occasions since it's at a marina. We got some Stinger fries and cheesesteak egg rolls to share and they were both delicious. I personally feel that the Stinger fries were so good on its own that it doesn't need the ketchup that it comes with. I had the lobster ravioli and at first I was a little surprised that it was topped with shredded cheese instead of grated cheese, but the lobster ravioli was packed with lobster meat and it done pretty well. Of note, our hostess was very attentive! She checked on us frequently and we did not have to flag her down for anything. read more

They have a gorgeous set up here, with the back of the restaurant open and overlooking the water. You can tell this place has been recently renovated. To start, we ordered the cheesesteak egg rolls and clams. Both were delicious, the cheesesteak egg rolls were on point. For my entree, I had the crab cake sandwich. The crab cake sandwich was very good and came with a side of fries. The drinks here also looked very good but I am pregnant so couldn't partake. Service was good. Generous portion might be too big for a light eater so consider splitting it with another in your party. Good quality meat, but lacked the great flavor of other Philly roast pork places.
