Stinger's Waterfront is always a hit! Food portions are a good size and they always use great quality ingredients. I love the ambiance on the water this is definitely a gem in Delco. Great spot to sit at the bar and watch the games as well. We got cheesesteak egg rolls as an appetizer in addition to our meals, it comes with a spicy ketchup that is good as well. If you haven't tried Stingers you should!

To be a good Delco restaurant in my neck of the woods, the bar isn't always as high. Places like this tend to fit a standard for this area. The trick is if you can do anything to set yourself apart. I do believe this place has a few touches that might do that. If you are in anyway familiar with this area of Delco, you will know that the owner of this restaurant used to be affiliated with the Heritage Ballroom. I always liked the food there, and always had good dealings with the ballroom, so I was looking forward to seeing how they would do in running a single restaurant with their own stamp on the place. I also was very familiar with the former Caroline's that was here. So again, I was Right off the bat, I must say that bringing a bread basket out with a side of red gravy and ricotta cheese was the first touch. I don't know if anyone else does that, but I've never seen it. Although I like having my olive oil on the side, or even bread and butter, this was a good thing to me. And it was good seeded bread, not just a basic hoagie roll cut up. So they had me at hello. Of course, one thing about some of the nicer Delco restaurants is that they still manage to find a way to put things like cheesesteaks on the menu. This place does have its share of sandwiches since they do a healthy bar business. It happens to turn out that I was actually in the mood for one since I saw one come out of the kitchen that looked really good. So I ordered up a chicken parm sandwich with a cup of steak and potato soup. The wife decided to go for the crab cake platter. That platter would be a really good test. The soup was a pretty decent and hearty one. It had more of a vegetable soup taste. Can't say it was exactly what I expected when I ordered it, but flavor wise it did well. So the sandwich I would say was decent. The roll made the sandwich for me. I just love the good seeded rolls. Not putting it on a basic roll like so many other places still do was a step up for me. The chicken was pretty standard parmesan style, which is to say they didn't screw it up. Hey, sometimes that is more important to note with these basic dishes. Don't screw it up and you'll be fine. The fries were a cut above what usually comes with these sandwiches as well. The wife was impressed with her crab cakes. My taste of them found that it had a good amount of meat to them and less filler. That's a good sign. Again, the important part is that they didn't screw them up. Do you sense my trend here? I think what this place has figured out that when it comes to southern Delco restaurants, it is far more important to get the basic stuff right than to do anything too creative. Believe me when I tell you that too many restaurants in this area don't get that. I've had so many basic dishes screwed up in this area that it is actually refreshing to see someone consistently get them right. Now, can I confidently say this is the case after one meal? I don't know. But I do know that I've had plenty of one time meals in southern Delco where it didn't happen, so they win on that account. I tend to judge southern Delco restaurants on that curve. We're not Center City. We will never be Center City. We just don't have too many dining destinations in my area. So if you don't screw it up, you're doing well. If you add a few personal touches on top of it, you'll rise above. I think this place gets that. Service was friendly. Maybe a little slow, but I'll give them a pass since it was busy. That kitchen had to be hopping, I'm sure. Kevin, the owner, spent time talking to us and takes a lot of pride in how the restaurant is run. It was a Friday night, and it was busy at the bar and in the dining room, but they had seating for us and we didn't have to wait. It was a little loud because they had live acoustic music going on, but it was good music so I didn't mind. Hey, you don't come here for a quiet dinner. I liked the renovations they did in the room, and nice touch adding some wine refrigerators in the room. This place earned my stamp of approval. I've already put it above several of the longtime standard restaurants in this area that have been around for a while (if you're from this area, you can probably guess without me telling you). If those places don't shape up, they may lose a lot of business to a place like this.

Hmmmm, not too sure about this place. It's Delco at it's finest that is for sure. It's a great restaurant with pretty good food but it's basically a Delco bar that is loud and not the most attractive crowd... and not the nicest shopping plaza. However, when you are seated at your table, that kind of fades. Waiting at the bar on a Friday evening while our table was getting ready was a tight squeeze. The bartender did make a mean dirty martini though! For apps, when you have Cheesesteak eggrolls, you automatically get +1 in my book and they were delicious at that. Not overly greasy and full of meat! WIN! For dinner I went with the lightly breaded flounder and the breading took all the flavor away from this dish for me. I had food envy of everyone else at the table =( Womp, womp. Overall it was an enjoyable dinner with family and the staff was pretty nice. I would try it again if I was in the area but nothing I would go out of my way for.

Al you can eat pasta... Penne. With fillet tips. Damn good. Gravy a bit thin but tasty!

My husband liked a beer and would've gotten a second one, but the waitress never made it back to us at that point. I, of course, came to a brewery and ordered their apple cider margarita. There was a lot of ice. Too much ice. Not much drink. Didn't hurt that much because the drink was just ok. My kids crushed the pretzel. It was huge and my one kid discovered a love of cheese along with it. My spouse got the Cuban, which is a little dry, but pretty in line with Cuban expectations. I thoroughly enjoyed the pickle burger with double patties, enough meat that I also shared bit of it with the kids. My kid dipped the patty in the pretzel cheese. My spouse had read that it took a while for food to come out, but it came out pretty speedy for us. We also ordered the crab dip, but it came out at the same time as our main course so we didn't eat much. Taking that sucker home. Besides the pretzel, the variety of spaces here are the main highlight. Again, disclaimer being this is coming from someone who didn't come to a brewery to drink beer.

A down-to-earth watering hole. Cozy, even. I loved our table, a nice high-top in the corner. I guess my only complaint is that it took a little while to be seated. It was Sunday night dinner rush, L get it, but I waited by the door long enough to wonder whether anyone was going to notice me. But it was worth the wait. For a place that comes off as a bar, the meal they served me checked all the boxes -- oysters from the raw bar first, then a tender New York strip, with a generous side of Jack Daniels. Everything was perfect. Our server Jake was a real pro, the best. You could tell they were all a great team. When a drink I ordered appeared on the bar but had not yet been delivered, someone stepped up and brought it to me. Service! Something that surprised me. Though I was totally into my dinner, looking around, it struck me that the place looked exceptionally clean. I mean, excceptional, something they should be proud of. But above all, I could not have enjoyed the food more. The oysters, excellent. So good I ordered a second dozen for desert. An entirely enjoyable and satisfying experience. The dining room is beautifully decorated--perfectly lit for an evening meal with warm, cozy candlelit tables. The seating is spaced comfortably apart, allowing for private conversation, especially on a night that isn't overly crowded. It's an ideal spot for date night. The restaurant is BYOB, and I noticed they also offer mocktails on the menu. We began with soup. The lobster bisque was savory and flavorful, featuring a plump piece of lobster in the center. The New England clam chowder was also thoroughly enjoyed. There's a wide selection of entrées, and we appreciated the recommendations on the most popular dishes. In addition to steak, poultry, and seafood, the menu also includes a section dedicated to vegan entrées. I ordered the lump crab cake as my entrée, and we also had the fried red snapper. Although the crab cake was lump rather than jumbo lump, it was well seasoned and not overloaded with filler. It was generously sized, filling, and served with a citrus remoulade that complemented it nicely. The whole red snapper was a generous market-priced portion, perfectly coated and fried. The fish was moist, flavorful, and cooked just right--not overdone. Each entrée is thoughtfully garnished; the red snapper was served with fried plantain and mango salsa, which paired beautifully. Sides are served à la carte. We chose the lobster mac and cheese and sautéed spinach. We also ordered the calamari a bit later but enjoyed it before our entrées arrived. It was crispy and drizzled with a sauce that balanced sweetness with a subtle kick of heat. The lobster mac and cheese featured pasta (think it was cavatappi) in a rich, creamy cheese like gouda, topped with a generous piece of lobster. The sautéed spinach was lightly seasoned and cooked perfectly, complementing the meal well. Overall, the dishes were well balanced and full of flavor. We didn't have room for dessert this time, but on our next visit I'd love to try either the butter cake or the bread pudding

Hoping that what we say online from so many people in Delco was the definitive answer for a wonderful Stromboli, the drive out to Lansdowne was done and there I stood in front of the unique counter that drops down about six feet into the kitchen, a setup I simply still don't really understand, waiting for the boli promised to be the ultimate in its field by the people of the area. We had ordered the roast pork stromboli and when it arrived from deep within the bowels of the seemingly subterranean kitchen, I could see the steam coming from the box and could smell the delicious amalgamation of cheese, meat, and sauces within the folded dough. I raced the box back to the car and quickly drove home to cut the thing open to find exactly what I had hoped. An explosion of delicious flavor in all of its glory; still piping hot, quickly devoured! While I cannot say definitively that this is absolute best Stromboli in Delco or "that I've ever had" as I was guaranteed it was, it was exceptionally outstanding. I will be returning here whenever I am passing by the area and will be trying other stromboli offerings. I had to wait for my toast while my breakfast sat. I've been to *many* diners in my life, not the first time I've experienced this, it happens ... but the amount of time I waited for it to come, seemed to suggest there had been an oversight. And I guess that ties into the strongest negative I might mention. There were intervals of waiting that threw off the rhythm of how a diner operates. I needed water my partner needed a refill ... and for a while it seemed like the only way that could happen is if I got up, went to the counter and asked for it. (Not alone in this. A nearby table did exactly that to get what they needed.) Easy fixes, not that big a deal. My first suggestion: Have a big pitcher of water on ice ready at all times. When you see a glass low, go for it. Simple, the mark of a pro. Listen -- I love diners, can't get enough, the more around my neighborhood the better. When we told our server we'd be back, we meant it. Especially for the gelato! Homemade! The sample I tasted, delectable. We all have room for improvement, so no harm no foul.
