Soooo goooddddd!! I've been here a few times and was impressed every time. There's lots of parking nearby given that it is part of a big shopping area. The way that you order after you have been seated is through link that they have through their QR codes on their tables. The menu is in both English and Chinese. They have options such as noodles, rice dishes, appetizers, and classic Chinese main dishes. They're most known for their hand-pulled noodles. The servers also know how to speak Chinese if that is helpful to anyone wanting to visit. Services very fast and the food is so so delicious. I love the salt and pepper tofu. I am a massive tofu fan and this is probably one of the best versions of it that I've had. Rice dishes come in massive portions; It could probably have been two meals for me. Their noodles are very bouncy and light and I can definitely see why it is their most popular item. Overall I think the food at this restaurant is authentic and well priced. I definitely plan on returning and recommended to others wanting to try some good Chinese food.

Spicy Beef Flat Noodles

My husband and I had another wonderful meal here. The servers were very attentive, and the portions were really generous - we took home at least another dinner of leftovers. Last time I found the spicy beef flat noodles too spicy (my husband liked them) so we got them 'less spicy' this time and they were perfect! So much flavor, the veggies were perfectly cooked, and the beef was super tender. The broccoli beef was good but a little plain, especially next to the spicy noodle dish. But the noodles it came with were outstanding - the chewy bite to each noodle was perfect. The salt & pepper fish was great! I saw a photo of this dish online and had to try it. The fish was flavorful without being too salty, and each piece was perfectly fried and crispy. We're hoping to come back soon and try more dishes!

Spicy Beef Noodle Soup, diced chicken with green beans

I've been here many times since they've opened and unfortunately, I feel as if the quality has slowly gone down. The noodles are always great and portion sizes are huge, but everything else is way too salty now. We couldn't even drink the soup! On the upside, they were quick and the restaurant is clean.

Ordered via QR code or on iPad so annoying. Helpful waiter guide use through ordering on his iPad. We had bbque pork boa, lamb swerker, shredded pork and hand pulled noodle egg and jalapeño scramble. The lamb skewers were not that good just okay. The jalapeño/egg noodle was good. I think the jalapeño were actually Serranos. I would have liked more egg. The two best dishes were the bbque pork boa and the shredded pork. Good sized portions. Normal people would have leftovers but my skinny husband eats for three people!

Came in with plenty of seating on a Sunday night. I have never been here but there is very little interaction with employees. To view the menu, you scan the code on the table and order from it as well. The convenience is, you don't have to wait for a check since you put in the order yourself. They bring your food out and that's it! Easy peasy. Now the amount of food for the price is...crazy. I ordered the spicy braised pork with fat noodles and it didn't even look like I made a dent. The pork was great and the noodles were more chewy but I enjoyed it. Wife ordered medium noodles with veggies and it was delicious. The sauce was sweet and had good flavor. She also ordered an alcoholic beverage and she said it was great, not overpowering with alcohol. The interaction that did occur with the employees was nice, they are very polite and the place was pretty clean. They also have a bar with 3 big flat screens so there was plenty of entertainment.

How can you pass up on this deal?

Noodle Dynasty is fantastic neighborhood caliber Chinese restaurant. I was really fortunate to have seen their ad awhile back on Instagram that allowed me to purchase $1000 dollars worth of gift certificates for only $500. Despite never being here before and despite living on the Eastside I trusted my fellow Yelpers and took a leap of faith and blind purchased the gift card that is attached to my phone number...so no hanging onto a physical card that I might forget or lose. The ordering is great...you can order ahead online through their site or scan a QR code at your table to get a detailed description of the menu item along with a photo and the kitchen here is lightning quick. I've honestly gotten my food in under 4 minutes before which is wild considering how many others were in the restaurant. Portions and prices all reflect a solid value before my 50% discount from the gc promotion. They hand make a lot of the noodle dishes and soups are made from scratch and are solid but not necessarily the best versions in town. I've worked through maybe 1/3 of the menu and items have been a B to A- with many things in the B+ range. The bbq cumin lamb skewers are a solid dish and a great value with 2 generous skewers at $6...I've had better but they are not all too common in Portland and they scratch the itch for when I get nostalgic for Beijing. Noodle dishes both stir fry and soup are probably the main reason I come here and can fill up a big eater or enough for leftovers for someone less hungry. I tend to dine here alone since it's so far from home but this place definitely lends itself well to having 1-3 dining partners to sample multiple things if you're doing family style. With the closure of Taste of Sichuan, Noodle Dynasty does a good job at filling in the gap for Chinese food for me on the Westside even tho ToS still remains the goat for me.

We wanted something with noodles and a twist for brunch, and this is the spot close to our place. It was our first time visiting, and as a family of six, we usually order one dish each, but here it seems that 3-4 dishes are more than enough. The portions are big enough to share easily. The food is okay. It was a bit salty. The service is great and very convenient since ordering is hassle-free through QR Code, and the place is clean. My kids enjoyed the piggy bean bun :)

Get the Lanzhou beef soup! It's the bomb. Broth is so good with just the right amount of beef and the noodles are amazing. Wish there were more of these around!

Ordered the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup as "no spicy" on the website, but the manager said that's not even an option.

We've all heard of the baseball saying, 3 strikes and you're out. Well, Noodle Dynasty almost struck out with two failed attempted to make the right dish! Using the QR code on the table, I ordered the Dan Dan noodles. My wife was intrigued by the ingredients in the spicy beef noodle soup, though she's never been a fan of spicy food. To our surprise, the online ordering system allowed her to customize the dish by removing the spiciness, so she ordered it with wide flat noodles. My Dan Dan noodles came out first. They had a bit of a kick--not overly spicy, but with that signature numbing flavor from Sichuan peppercorns. When my wife's order arrived, she took one sip of the broth and immediately tasted the heat, even though she had specifically selected "no spicy." The waiter took it back, and within five minutes returned with what they said was a corrected version--but this time, it came with thin noodles instead of the wide ones she requested. We asked to speak to the manager and explained the situation. She told us that removing the spice from that dish wasn't actually possible. We showed her our order confirmation, which clearly stated "no spicy," and she acknowledged the issue. She assured us the next version would be right. A short while later, she returned with a third attempt, which she claimed matched the order exactly. But this time, the noodles were all over the place--some were thin, and others were wider than the width of the fork. That kind of inconsistency wasn't even present in my mother-in-law's Lanzhou hand-pulled beef noodle soup, which also uses wide flat noodles--and we've never encountered this issue on previous visits. To her credit, the manager did remove the cost of my wife's dish, but the experience left a bad taste overall. I don't plan to return unless it's for a special occasion.

Lanzhou hand pull beef noodle soup and green onion pancake
Lindsey M.

I got the lanzhou hand pull beef noodle soup with flat noodles and a green onion pancake. The noodle soup was very comforting and had good flavor. I really like the texture of the noodles and how you can chose what size you want. The broth was a bit salty but I think that might be a bit more of a personal preference thing. As for the green onion pancake, it was pretty good. Honestly I felt it was middle of the road not the best I've had but far from the worst. I took this meal to go since I was in a rush, but they completed my order pretty quickly. The restaurant was pretty relaxed and definitely a good place to sit down and eat with family friends.

Braised Beef Noodle Soup with Wide Flat Noodles
Duy N.

Finally had a chance to try this trending hand pulled noodles restaurant. I got the Lanzhou Hand Pulled Beef Noodle Soup but forgot to take a picture... Broth and beef was amazing taste. The flat wide noodles are ridiculously wide. An experience on their own lol. I wouldn't get these noodles every time but once in a while. Braised beef noodle soup was very good. Lamb skewers were a nice appetizer. Menu is online site and order, pretty decent setup. Gotta come back to try th other noodles

I was surprised how big their menu is, and that it spans from Cantonese dim sum to Sichuan spicy dishes. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. The dim sum is your typical standard fare. They make a good pan fried noodle dish and congee. Of the dim sum items, I think I liked the har gow the best. The rest of the items I think they could use some better seasoning. Service wise they do need a few more carts going when it gets busy. The last time we went, my mom just up and walked over to the cart that was on the other side of the room to get some items. Or just switch to the "pencil and order on demand" method. Saves some of the service hassle. There are some nice banquet sized tables towards the back of the dining room, with lazy susans and such. If you're not looking to go east side for dim sum, this is a suitable place.

It felt very traditional, especially with the lazy Susan's and being able to eat family style Chinese dinner. Every dish we ordered was large and perfect for a large family. Very flavourful, too! This Saturday morning, we went for dim sum with a few friends. I loved that they had carts going around. We arrived right at opening with many other guests, but were promptly serviced. We're all from more Asian areas so it's so nostalgic to sit and speak Cantonese. I was impressed with all of the food. They don't have as many options as other restaurants, but they do have all the basics (har gow, siu mai, cheung fun) that you need. And they were incredibly tasty!! The egg tarts especially were so perfect and flaky. I'm excited for them to become more popular.

The place was full of hungry locals and tourists but was uncustomarily quiet and calm. From the hostess that seated us, to the waitress and servers, all staff and management were extremely polite, positive and helpful. We were starving. So we ordered 3 entrees and side of Dry-fried String beans. The Green Beans were cooked perfectly and the serving size was generous! One of our new favorites is the Mongolian Chicken. Is not a spicy Chinese food dish but the moist chicken and seasonings produced a yummy & comfort food level dish! As usual, the lightly battered & deveined Butterfly prepared Salt & Pepper Shrimp was mouthwatering, with every bite. As the last entree to be served. The ten Chicken & Vegetable Dumplings were fresh and flavorful. Needless to say, with only 2 patrons eating lunch with 3 heaping entrees plus Dry-fried String beans and white rice - we took home 2 more meals worth of Chinese food leftovers. Definitely dine in at this Old Town location or order To Go!
