We came to brunch on Sunday, our food was definitely five stars. But our service was less than one star. Then we find out they put an automatic 20% gratuity on our check. I think this is a horrible idea, They don't have to work as hard as if they were working for their tip. My tea never got refilled, it took us 10 minutes to get sugar, salt and pepper to the table and we never saw our waiter after the food was dropped. When we did, it was to ask for the check.They also failed to mention they're adding the gratuity and then leave a spot for you to leave more without telling you. Please do a reservation to avoid waiting! I Still love STIRR for brunch! I loved the Strawberry shortcake pancakes . The frozen froze is the go to drink! The fried Ribeye steak was seasoned well. Con (Was not pipping hot) after a 45 min wait for food! The beef tenderloin with fresh chimichurri sauce is my favorite thing on the brunch. I substitute my eggs for grilled shrimp! fyi the Addison location charges 20% off the rip. You're tipping that regardless of party size! The bartenders weren't very attentive in Addison! They just needed to add 1 more to have a better flow! We did bring the temperature of food to the managers attention. He had little to say; he comp the drinks. Uhmmm the drinks weren't the issue! Heck they could have microwaved our food! The ahi tuna salad saved our foodie hunger. It was so good. The best ahi tuna salad I've eaten! Will order the salad again! Mmm the food was ok, it was pricy for the quality. I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. And while it wasn't horrible, it did make me have a stomach ache after and I am one to eat spicy food with no issue. The waiter was very friendly but I did spend some time wishing I got a refill. FOOD POISONING ALERT! Zero stars if possible for 1) getting food poisoning and 2) poor customer service. My fiancé and I ate here on Saturday, 3/27/21 for brunch for the first time. After couple hours from our meal, my fiancé started feeling nauseous and then vomited and had diarrhea. He was in bed for the rest of the day with those symptoms. I ended up having symptoms later that night. We reached out to STIRR and they said they have a thorough system about quality checks with their products, good for them. Visited for 24hrs from San Diego to celebrate my best friend of 15 years. She's getting married & we wanted to celebrate after Davids Bridal. I called to make a reservation and asked the hostess, Bri, if the restaurant put notes and/or any decoration on the table for private events. She told me that that is something I would need to set up myself but she stated that she would be happy to make our friend feel special. She ended up going shopping on her own time for flowers, table decor, and even got up early on the day of her shift to go get balloons blown up. It is so special that people like Bri still exist! This is definitely why people love the south but even in the south, it's hard to find someone as down to earth as Bri. She didn't know me and had no reason to help me but did it out of the kindness of her heart. Thank you, Bri, for 10 star customer service and for making our friend feel so special. My family and I stopped here for a weekend brunch and the food was delish! We ordered the chicken wings, brisket tacos, chicken and discount, and egg Benedict. Each dish was amazing and I would recommend, especially the wings. However, the service was slow and inattentive, which is why it lost 2 stars from me. To be fair, I only had a drink here while I waited for a table over at Vidorra, but the experience was still interesting! Initially when we walked in we were told they were full up, however a second later we were allowed to sit at the bar, good enough! We'd planned to spend about an hour here (our told wait time for a table next door) but only ended up spending 17 minutes in this fine establishment. So take this review lightly, as we didn't get the full experience. The draft beer selection seemed adequate, with many I'd never heard of! A member of the party tried the Easy Peasy (not a fan of the name, nor of hearing a grown man order it but oh well), and he enjoyed it. The rest of us had either the spicy margarita, Tito's and pineapple, or Tito's and Sprite. The spicy margarita gave you the impression they let the jalapeño or habanero sit next to the drink while they made it, but didn't actually put it in. Slightly disappointing. When you can get a spicier marg in Maine than Texas, it is a little mind blowing, but to be fair that was every spicy I tried in Dallas, not just this one, so might just be how they make it down there. The other drinks were basic and good from what I heard. My only complaint, the bartender took our order right as we sat down, but when we got out table notification 17 minutes later, we still hadn't received our drinks, and had to send the Easy Peasy guy over there after a quick chug of his beer. Then we all quickly drank out drinks when they arrived a few minutes later. It was busy to be sure, but almost 20 minutes for drinks when sitting at the bar? Seems a bit long. In closing, I look forward to coming back here when I'm in Dallas next. The menu looked good, and the vibe was really cool. Seemed like a hip place to get some food and drinks. I'll just make sure to make a reservation next time, and expect a bit of a wait, but good food and drinks, in my mind, are totally worth waiting for. read more

Met some friends for a catch up brunch on Saturday morning. We were greeted and taken to our seats quickly. The ambiance of the restaurant makes you want to take your time and enjoy your experience and the company you are with. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and made some suggestions. We ordered a pitcher of cranberry mimosas and the pear and Brie bruschetta for the table. The mimosas were delicious. Not a fan of the bruschetta. There wasn't anything really special about it for the price. Our entrees, however, were so good! I ordered the chicken and grits. This dish had all the flavors I didn't know I wanted! The grits were perfect and were elevated with the addition of the hollandaise sauce. The chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I did not have to add any extra salt or pepper to my dish. Extra bonus...the portion size was perfect. Would 10/10 recommend this. My friends ordered the pumpkin pancakes and the biscuit breakfast sandwich. The 2 most popular appetizers, chicken wings and crab cakes are excluded from the special. The signature cocktails taste like the alcohol has been left out. My girlfriends agreed. Just to give some perspective, I am not a drinker. I don't have wine at home. When a drink has alcohol I can tell. I expressed this to our server and she just laughed it off. This is the 2nd time I've experienced this going out since COVID. I believe restaurants are charging for liquor they are not serving. Really nice entrance and spacious/modern vibe inside, my gf and I decided to eat upstairs to enjoy the view of Dallas. As you walk the staircase, there is an instagrammable green leaf wall art that has a neon script saying "Hello Gorgeous". We definitely posed by it and took a ton of photos. We were seated quickly. We then settled for sangrias - it was ok, not the best but settling. Since it was still restaurant week, we ordered from that menu. It was pretty decently priced... $19 for the whole lunch set that came with the soup of the day which was beef and vegetables and an entree. My gf wanted the lamb gyro with fries and i wanted the sweet heat jerk fish tacos. Our server informed us that the tacos weren't available. Again, bummer but nothing we can do. I settled for a lamb gyro as well. I asked for a side salad to compensate for all that is not available and our sweet server gladly gave it. Our food came not too long after. I wasn't really a fan of the soup. The lamb gyro was okay... fries on the side was okay. I've had better ones. We ordered our second drink and we both got a deep smash drink which was bourbon based. The deep smash was so good!!! We both liked it. Overall, our experience was okay.even though food options were not as available, the service was quite impeccable. Would return here someday. One word for this restaurant, HORRIBLE! The restaurant is nice looking but other than that I can't give it any additional kudos. The food came out cold, the pork chop was tougher than beef jerky, the broccolini was so salty that I couldn't eat it. On top of that the AC was blasting. We sat upstairs and I'm telling you it was truly a horrible experience. Then at 10 out of nowhere my waitress came out 90% undressed with her cheeks out since upstairs turns into a club at night, it was off pudding to say the least. My family arrived around 11am to eat brunch and hostess was rude and said there was no availability despite the restaurant being practically empty. She then said next reservation was for 3pm. Almost 2 hours in the manager came over and told us we needed to leave because they had other reservations coming and we had hit our allotted time. This has never happened to me before! 2nd time at Stirr Addison in the last 3 months or so. My friend and I had dinner at the bar. Michelle and Megan provided great service. Michelle curated my drinks (Ranch Water w Mezcall, and Manhattan with Knob Creek Rye on a large ice cube and cherry and orange peel). And Michelle recommended dishes, asked about our day, and provided very good service. We have the tuna sushi tacos for an appetizer. Delicious. My friend has Shrimp Parpadelle which he said was very good. I had the Bang Bang Broccoli Beef. It was very tasty but the beef was not consistently tender, some was even grisly.
