The food in my opinion is really good. The service is really terrible. When I have sat at the bar, it has been challenging to be taken care of and if they do, the attitude is typically poor. They already have a tip added to the check when you pay out. I don't mind the tip being added, I just wish the service was better and the servers or bartenders were enjoyable to interact with. Please management, if you come across this, work with the staff to better the service. I would really like to go back to this place, but having bad service makes it now worth going. No, just no! Go somewhere else! This place is so unorganized. We walked in the hosts told us there was open seating upstairs. We go upstairs and we're told that we have to be on a waiting list after sitting for 15-20 minutes. So we go back downstairs and ask for a table the wait is 30 minutes, so much time wasted sitting upstairs with conflicting information. We finally were seated and the service just went from bad to worse. I asked for Tortellini they didn't have any. I ended up ordering veggie fried rice and my friends also had a situation where they didn't even put her order in. Just go somewhere else or if you really wanna be at a Stirr, go to the one in Deep Ellum. The customer service is bad at the one in Addison, TX. My suggestion is to book this restaurant in advance. The reservations go fast especially on the weekends. They have an amazing day party every weekend with a DJ which is a cool vibe and it beats not having to drive all the way to Dallas to have fun. First time here for brunch & I was very disappointed. The tip-off was a very long text the day before to confirm our reservation explaining that there is a $3.99 service fee per check & auto gratuity of 20% on Saturday & Sunday. I ordered the BLT Flatbread for $15 which had about a teaspoon of mayo, a couple of cherry tomatoes, some lettuce, very little bacon & maybe an eighth of an avocado. Our reservation was at noon & they have a 2 hour limit per table. At 1 pm they cranked up the music so loud that we couldn't hear each other and the bass was thumping in my chest and vibrating the tables. I do NOT recommend. read more

Went to this establishment around 9pm on a Sunday with a group of 4 people. The place was pretty empty. The waitress took a while to get to our table. We started with some fries and a few drinks. I guess she decided we weren't going to be making her any money because she picked up the menus and never came back!! Some one else's brought out fries that were cold. She didn't come back to our table for 45 minutes. We were going to order more food and drinks, but by then we were just ready to leave. When she finally came back she didn't even stay long enough to get a sentence out. I don't know why gratuity was automatically added for a table or 4. Came for Happy Hour a few days ago. While the drinks and appetizers were good, I was really concerned to see how Stirr is operating during Covid. My husband and I have visited many restaurants during these times and 99% of them are using precautions, not seating people near each other, requiring masks when not at your table, lower capacity, not allowing people to approach the bars, etc. Servers and bartenders were wearing masks, but no precautions were taken to keep patrons away from each other. It was PACKED on a Thursday evening! There were multiple large parties, people weren't required to wear masks as they walked around, people were approaching the bar in groups without masks...it felt SO unsafe! Of course, it's your choice to visit a restaurant during a pandemic, but for those of us that are willing to take the risk to support local restaurants, we really trust that the restaurants are taking measures to keep us safe, and this was not the case with Stirr. I'll be back, but def not a place I'd recommend visiting during the pandemic if you want to feel safe at all. read more

My friend and I went to STIRR today for the first time. The staff were all pleasant attentive. The atmosphere was great and the people watching even better. The DJ was spinning a nice mix of music. However, the volume was at club level. My friend and I literally had to shout at each other to be heard. I was also disappointed to find the lunch menu was not available Saturday and Sunday, so we ordered from the Brunch menu. The food was just plain bad. I ordered Chicken & Biscuits. The biscuits were dry and tasted as if they had been made days prior. The chicken was overcooked and also very dry. The Chef's Hash was nothing more than boiled, diced red potatoes with some chives and cold at that. My friend ordered the Chicken and Grits. This is a great new addition to Addison! A friend and I came to have a drink (practicing social distancing, of course) and I am hooked. The lower level is a very nice dining area with a large bar in the middle. Upstairs is a fun lounge/club space that has a giant glass roof, and on the night we came, the windows were open and the ambience was perfect. This was the worst food experience. I ordered a 20oz steak meal medium rare. It cam out well done so I sent it back. They delivered me another steak that was well, medium and rare at different parts of the steak. The brocalini came out xild and the waiter advised it should be hot. The waiter tried to get the manger to speak to us and they refused to come to the table to discuss. We had already told the waiter we would be paying for the full bill just wanted the manager to speak to us about the issues we experienced. They could have cared less. I originally came here when it first opened because I love stirr in Deep ellum but I had forgot to review it. The food is great it's a little pricy but it's good. And the drinks are good too but idk I feel like stirr in deep ellum does a better job at the drinks and not skimping on the alc I kinda felt like my drink barely had any alc in it so that's why I couldn't give it the 5. Stirr is located on the heart of North Dallas, it is a beautiful location with an endless menu of delicious food and delicious cocktails. However, the top notch part of my experience during my visit was my server; Gabby. She made us feel so welcome from the beginning with her bubbly personality. Seriously bad experience. This place just opened and looks soo hip and fun but our experience was not great. We sat down and it took about 10-15 minutes for our server to come over. We all ordered drinks (2 spicy margaritas and a ranch water), these took about another 15 minutes to get two of them and 25 minutes for the 3rd. We ordered the avocado hummus for a starter and it was a poor amount for $11 and not flavorful at all. Way too much hummus and not enough dipping items. Lastly, 2/3 meals came out correct and the 3rd did not. My burger and fries was blah to say the least - my burger wasn't cooked how I ordered it and not very flavorful. Overall, we didn't get water refills and just didn't have a great experience. The staff has some growing to do and the food has some growth to still learn. read more
