The only reason I am giving four stars is because the crew here dont really look happy you don't really get a smile, The bartender who helped us she was pretty plain we didn't really feel welcomed even though we were the only people at the bar. I like the concept the place looks really neat and very spacious. Everything that we had was really delicious and very well-made. The calamari was one of the best Ive ever had it was so soft inside but crunchy on the outside it was truly amazing. I'm not really a sweet eater but I know my friend loves it so we picked the cinnamon roll bread pudding which did not disappoint either! They're happy hour is really affordable, I also glanced at the regular menu seemed a little bit pricey. But if all the food is as good as the happy hour food then sign me up for it. This place is a great vibe! I've come twice, one for a private event and once for happy hour. Both times we opted to go upstairs. For happy hour they have half price apps and cocktails, the upstairs ambience is great with a lot of natural light! It's super fun. I had the calamari, chicken lettuce wraps, and the buffalo chicken flatbread. All were super delicious. The calamari was cut differently but still super tasty! The espresso martini was made with cream but was really good! Our server was really attentive to the table and made sure to give us great insights on the menu. This was our spot for our latest bookclub meeting and it is always great to see friends, especially these women. The space was beautiful with large windows, airy atmosphere, sports TVs would be great for games and the seating was perfect. However, the service was lack luster. The glasses were dirty and tasted like soap with lipstick marks and many stains. One of our party has a severe allergy to gluten and the server said "o just take off the egg and it should be fine." Some education would be helpful for future guests along with staff being more welcoming and kinder. The food was amazing! I had the giant donut holes which were perfect, along with the gorgonzola fries and for my main I had the breakfast pizza. All were wonderfully on point! Came to the area for lunch with a friend. This STIRR location is located near some really good restaurants and cute shops, so it's the perfect place to spend the afternoon. I arrived first and asked for a table for two. There was only two small groups inside, but the host asked if I wanted to sit upstairs. I'm happy I did. While the entire restaurant is nice and new, I really liked the set up of upstairs. High tables and booths throughout and TVs by the bar. Restrooms are very clean which is a great sign. There's a cute backdrop for pictures at the top of the stairs too. We decided on drinks and appetizers because we weren't too excited about the lunch menu. The Yes Way Frosé and Seasonal Sangria were good, nothing to rave about. We tried the Hot Chicken before visiting another restaurant in the area for lunch. The chicken was nice and tender (I think it was dark meat), full of flavor, and contained the perfect level of heat. Definitely give it a try! If I'm ever in the area again, I probably wouldn't mind stopping by again. I've heard good things about the brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, so it wouldn't hurt to give that a try as well! read more

Came here during the week for a very late lunch. My party was seated upstairs in this beautiful two-story restaurant. The floor to ceiling glass windows and open floor concept brings in so much light that brunch here must be lovely. We shared a few appetizers with the roasted Shisito Peppers being the favorite. For my entree I had the redfish that was came with a decadent crawfish gravy. It will be hard for me to try anything else here because this dish was fantastic. Fortunately, we were still able to grab a decent-sized table for our large party about 30 minutes after our reservation. We ordered a large number of appetizers and drinks. My daughter ordered her go-to: steak frites, medium rare. What arrived? A steak so well done it could've doubled as a hockey puck. Our waitress--bless her--agreed and whisked it away. Round two? Practically tartare and ice cold. At this point, we were wondering if the kitchen was just trolling us. Then came the general manager, who apparently moonlights as a food scientist. He marched over, meat thermometer in hand, and insisted the steak was "perfectly cooked." Sir, this is a dinner--not a TED Talk. AWESOME HAPPY HOUR OPTIONS! Beautiful restaurant in Addison. Lots of parking and lots of neighboring places to dine, shop and even pick up groceries. STIRR had lots of seating downstairs and upstairs. Beautiful decor. Patio views were giving Italian villa vibes- yes, I know seems strange but we were feeling it. Back to happy hour- half off appetizers, YURM! Shrimp- DEEEELISH. Calamari- meh, more like fish sticks- I ordered the blood orange margarita but it tasted more like watermelon. The sweet server was nice enough to bring me another drink. Everyone's food looked so good, I got the burger- so good and fresh and tasty tasty- the truffle fries. Slightly thicker patty than a 1/4 wimpy patty. Their were 2! They seasoned the HECK out of that burger! It was really good. On a Saturday night, FORGET ABOUT PARKING! It is in the middle of a ton of other places and while there's ample parking, not enough for all the places crammed into the shopping center. I didn't see a valet option so if your going during the week you'll be fine. After 9pm they do card you and you have to be over 21 to enter. We had kids with us but was there from 6-9. I really enjoyed my visit here. I came with two good friends when I went to Dallas to visit them and the staff was very helpful, attentive, and friendly. That was the first thing I noticed, the next thing was just that this place is open and bright and lovely! It has an upscale ambiance without being overly "fancy," so it's nice but you could easily come here for work happy hour. The drinks were really good, I had their take on an espresso martini/cocktail which was just sweet enough for me but not too sweet! And I sampled my friend's strawberry frozè and that was also just LOVELY. Kind of like a frozen pina colada with strawberry flavor. The bathrooms were nice and clean as well. Overall this is a very nice place for drinks (or food, but I didn't try the food) in a nice shopping center in north Dallas. Would def rec a try! read more

The sweet potato "hash" lacked 1000% imagination. I should have gone to cracker barrel. Turkey was cold in the center and stuffing tasteless. If I could, I would give negative stars. Mashed potatoes were hard like leftovers. I will say the green beans from a can with cream of mushroom and gravy poured over was a treat.... not. Probably the worst Thanksgiving meal of my life. The pot luck at work and my army meals in the field eclipse this. I would highly recommend this as a place to dine if desperate. The server was fair and it sorta felt like this was week two of a restaurant opening - looking back into the kitchen servers and cooks look confused and it isn't that busy. A few 8 tops notwithstanding. I almost want to give them a break because it is Thanksgiving and they have to work and are perhaps the second string, but WTF management ???!!!!! Read the room and have a sense of urgency. This place is lucky to have the doors open imho. Just spoke to a couple next started laughing about their experience and as I overheard, I asked what they thought. Their opinions are like mine. They drove 30 minutes to get here. I only drove 20 and paid tolls but I'm here on business staying at a hotel so I guess I should be happy to have found a place that was open. I am moving here in a few weeks, and I will make my own much better next year. I requested my dessert over 20 minutes ago. It just arrived. I have a forced 20% tip added or I'd give two bucks. The so called peach Cobbler was a rectangular brick of dough topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, generic, and some warmed canned pie filling peaches around everything. Came here for brunch with my girlfriends today and it was solid!! Since I haven't heard the best things about this place, I was expecting the worst, but thankfully - it was an all around pretty good experience!! Our reservation was for 1:30 and we were seated immediately! Our initial reservation was for two, but a third person got added last minute. The hostess was super sweet and helpful in accommodating us! We started off with the mimosas with pineapple juice and they were delicious!!Although, I don't like calamari, my friends got it and loved it! For my entree I got the brunch burger. I took off the egg and added bacon instead. The burger was pretty standard. Not the best I've ever had and not the worst. Just pretty much what you expect from an average burger. One of my friends got the flatbread with the impossible meat and loved it. My other friend got the shrimp and grits and was not a fan. I think with Stirr - people are generally coming for the vibe and not the culinary experience so bear that in mind. The aesthetic is super cute and they had a live DJ on the second floor where we were seated. While the music was on point it was SO LOUD. So we were pretty much yelling to talk to eachother the whole time. Very day club-esque, for sure. Anyway, all in all - it was a better experience than I expected. This place is such a pleasant surprise. The vibe is cool and very rustic. Didn't feel too upscale or fancy. Would highly recommend for brunch or groups as most seemed to be there with 4 + more people. The downstairs is more chill and quiet. The bar is just as great to sit and eat and get drinks. The upstairs is more communal and loud as the window/doors open up to let fresh air in. Feels very indoor/ outdoor which is great for keeping safe and social distancing. The food is so good. This was my first time visiting STIRR, and I will certainly be back. All of the staff were wearing masks and they are practicing social distancing. The diners were spaced apart adequately and the rest. was not filled to capacity. The drinks were really good, pancakes were fluffy, a lot bigger than expected and super filling. I attended with a group of 4 friends for Sunday brunch. We arrived a little early for our 1pm reservation and were seated upstairs. The hostess was very friendly and masked. Upstairs was a completely different vibe than where we entered. It was basically a day party with the exception of a dance floor. The woman who sat us was masked but none of the other staff that I could see (upstairs) were. Texas did lift their restrictions but just wanted to let future patrons know. There were also patrons who weren't masked when they moved about the restaurant. Food: All of the appetizers we had were delicious. The only one I wouldn't order again was the spinach artichoke dip and it's always one of my go to apps. I tasted majority spinach so it felt more like a vegatable side dish than an app. I also ordered the brisket tacos as my main dish but unfortunately I didn't get to eat them at the restaurant. I had asked our waitress and another server (later) for additional sauce and by the time I asked again and it actually came it was about 15 minutes later and the tacos were cold. I ate them the next day for lunch and they were okay, likely because they were reheated. My best friend ordered The Texan and wasn't a fan. Lastly as a drink we got the pineapple cocktail drink but it tasted like juice and not much alcohol. Our server Stephanie was nice. I do feel like it was super busy so I will give that disclaimer but in some instances she appeared as if we were bothering her. She was kind of rushed with us and in her mannerisms. Came for a birthday brunch on a Sunday. The DJ was amazing and the ambiance was great. We sat upstairs and I loved the photo opp back drop at the top of the stairs. It's a must! I ordered a pineapple mimosa carafe for my friends and I to share. It was a perfect mixture of champagne and juice. For appetizers, I had the Buffalo chicken egg rolls. They were just ok, wouldn't purchase again. The golden wings were amazing though. For my entree, I had the steak and eggs! The steak was cooked to perfection (medium) and tender! The eggs were blah. Seemed like fake eggs that you get with a continental breakfast at hotels. I probably took one bite. But the steak and breakfast potatoes were superb. There were some issues with some of my friends' meals and service. But I have no complaints personally. Overall, it was decent. I met a friend here for an early-ish lunch for her birthday. We were the first ones there and they said to sit wherever we wanted. I love the setting - big and bright with tons of windows, nice seating. Our server came immediately and gave us time to decide. I got the Sweet Heat Jerk Fish Tacos and my friend got the General Tsao's. Both came pretty quickly. I really liked the tacos, but wish they had a little more fish in them - only came with one tiny piece. I loved the rice that came with it. My friend thought the General Tsao's was terrific. The service was great and they were very patient with us, as we sat and chatted for about an hour after our meal. Ok. This is an update. We went to experience the night side of STIRR, 4 days after my original review. I ordered the flatbread : Half pepperoni , Half Buffalo Chicken. It was small, but good. She ordered mac n cheese (it was okay. It had a unique taste, but still needed seasoning love). She also reordered the calamari, which just did not taste the same as when we went to brunch last weekend Pros: food was good. Vibes were on point. Music was nice. The hostess was patient and kind (I had her move us twice, esp. after I went upstairs and saw that the energy was 100% different than boring downstairs. ) Cons: When we got upstairs, we were ignored. We sat there maybe 8 minutes? Good servers, no matter if we were there table or not, would've said "Has someone helped you??" When we did finally get someone, she stated she would go find "him" our server. She came back 2-3 min later saying she couldn't find "him" so she would serve us. Mmmhmm. I used to serve and blame others too lol. Protect the tip, by any means necessary. My major con is that I was uncomfortable. Our waitress, although very sweet, didn't wear a mask. Several others didn't either. I noted maybe 3-4 wearing them, but just that many or more like more NOT wearing them. During the last weekend, I did notice during brunch a couple without masks, but they stayed away from us so it didn't affect my experience. However, I did not like her leaning in close to us (music was loud) to hear us, and then talking to us unmasked. Uncomfortable. Maybe there is a good reason she was unmasked? Maybe she was before the mask mandate was lifted? Maybe not. Personal choice. But if the latter, you should do what you can to make your TABLE happy as you serve them...mask up for their comfort, not yours. It was also a full house. Open 100%. We were maybe 3-4 feet from the person nearest us. The food was great!! But after the pizza, I was still hungry, but again didn't want to have the waitress over there with us more than she needed to be. Drinks are expensive. $13 a drink. So, I ordered a shot of Crown. It was still more pricey than I'm used to paying @ $9 a shot. What I would do to make it a better night experience next time? --eat beforehand and snack here --drink elsewhere beforehand --request upstairs but in the corner. --request a masked waitress/waiter before we are seated in order not to offend. read more

Our server brought us out waters with no straws so we asked for a straw and she said she would go get them.. 15 minutes later she came back to take our order with no straws... We ordered the wings and the steak and eggs. The wings came out great as expected. Located in Addison close to other restaurants. Two levels for seating which is cool. The food is good, my favorite is the wings. I also like the flatbreads, I recommend them. This is a good place for happy hour and they have some pretty good cocktails. The service is decent, I've never had any major issues except at the bar with one bartender who was rude. I really wanted to like this restaurant despite the fact that the ratings were so low and if not for the GM, I might have given it 2 stars instead of 3. My mother in-law and I arrived for a 12:00 reservation on a Tuesday and the restaurant was pretty much empty except for about two tables that looked like obvious work-lunch meetings. Suffice it to say, that it was pretty dead. When we walked in, we were greeted by the lovely bartender/hostess that I had hoped would be our waitress, however we ended up being served by a new employee that was not only super slow but unsure of availability of items. We started with the beer cheese fondue that was just ok. I was debating between the lobster ravioli and chicken cobb salad, but when I was told by our waiter that they were out of ravioli, I decided on the salad. Before he could take our order, we were approached by GM and while discussing the menu changes, he told me that they actually did have the ravioli in stock. After trying it, I should have stuck with the salad as it was a tad bland and had too many sun-dried tomatoes.n My mother in-law really liked her beef tenderloin pepper steak. Stirr is a great restaurant for Happy Hour! Love the 2 floor place with beautiful scenery and decor. We sat upstairs on the covered rooftop. Also they have day parties in the next room on Sundays which looks really nice. The expersso martini was great I had to get 2, but also their happy hour menu includes half off cocktails so the drinks total came out to $14. Buffalo chicken flatbread was delicious with the perfect balance of buffalo and blue cheese. Happy hour lasted 3-6 pm, next time I'm in the area I'm DEFINITELY going back.
