This place is a Dallas landmark, institution, and must-go! Had lunch yesterday and it was fantastic. Had the big hot dog "Big Fat Frank". Amazing! Perfectly gridled dog and just right amount of toppings-cheese, chili, onion. And it is big! Truly foot long. Service beyond perfect. Friendly. Didn't hover but paid attention. And we asked for more things (ranch for my sweet potato fries; buddy needed salsa for her taquitos). Server promptly helped. Environment is casual and cool. Overall, Ozona is decent. The food and service were okay, nothing that really stood out to me personally, but the atmosphere definitely makes the place worth visiting. The patio area is really nice and has a great vibe, especially for hanging out with friends or enjoying a drink outside. I'd probably come back more for the ambiance than the food itself. read more

We had a family (of 11) breakfast on the patio that included 4 energetic littles. We had no trouble being seated immediately even though only half of our party was there. We even had our drink order taken for those who were there. Our server was funny and friendly but a little too talkative/personal. The service was overall outstanding and the food was great. Went to Ozona's for breakfast. Main reason being we wanted a good Bloody Mary with our breakfast. Haven't been here for years! Great Bloody Mary bar with everything you could want. We sat outside and they have a huge patio. Very dog friendly and lots of dogs. And a big screen TV for watching football. I ordered the West Texas Eggs Benedict with chorizo. It was very good but I would probably order something different next time. Hubby got the Migas. He said they were really good, I definitely want to come back and try the lunch or dinner. It reminded me of a Big Mac, with cheese, lettuce, pickles, and special sauce, except the ingredients--beef, toppings, and bun were 8/10 instead of McD's 2.5/10 : ) I got the homemade fries (4/5). They're like the fries your mom used to make when she peeled some potatoes, cut em up, and deep fried them. A little thinner than mom's, so I had to give them a 4 instead of a 5. The onion rings (4/5) were really good. Like a blooming onion, except less greasy. The peach cobbler (5/5). Tasted like the peaches were picked this afternoon. Very fresh and sweet!
