Later, while I was closing my tab at the bar, the same individual made three racially charged comments toward me out loud. When I finally approached him to address the behavior, the bartender confronted me as if I were the problem, rather than addressing the person who had been harassing us. This establishment did not feel welcoming or safe for people of color. Our money is accepted the same as anyone else's, yet we were not treated with the same respect. I served my country for six years and fought alongside people of all backgrounds--many of whom I proudly call brothers. I never imagined I would experience this level of disrespect and hurt in a place meant for recreation. Because of how this situation was handled, I cannot recommend this pool hall to others who expect basic decency and fairness
