my favorite thing on the brunch. I substitute my eggs for grilled shrimp! fyi the Addison location charges 20% off the rip. You're tipping that regardless of party size! The bartenders weren't very attentive in Addison! They just needed to add 1 more to have a better flow! We did bring the temperature of food to the managers attention. He had little to say; he comp the drinks. Uhmmm the drinks weren't the issue! Heck they could have microwaved our food! The ahi tuna salad saved our foodie hunger. It was so good. The best ahi tuna salad I've eaten! Will order the salad again! Next I plan to go back to try dinner! Upstairs is so beautiful at Addison! It feels like an exquisite jungle! Well executed! Im a snob for beautiful restuarant decor! On Sundays both locations feature a live DJ Upstairs. Addison STIRR day party starts at 1pm. Deep ellum downtown STIRR rooftop party starts at 3pm after brunch!

This was our spot for our latest bookclub meeting and it is always great to see friends, especially these women. The space was beautiful with large windows, airy atmosphere, sports TVs would be great for games and the seating was perfect. However, the service was lack luster. The glasses were dirty and tasted like soap with lipstick marks and many stains. One of our party has a severe allergy to gluten and the server said "o just take off the egg and it should be fine." Some education would be helpful for future guests along with staff being more welcoming and kinder. The food was amazing!

I had the giant donut holes which were perfect, along with the gorgonzola fries and for my main I had the breakfast pizza. All were wonderfully on point! I'll keep it on my list to try again, maybe it was just an off day.

We met our son and his partner for lunch and they chose Stirr, since they live close in Addison. Of course my wife checked the pics and reviews on Yelp on our drive from Fort Worth. It turned into brunch since we arrive at 1130 on a Sunday. As soon as you walk in I can hear the music cranked up a bit and realized we're in a trendy place. They sat us upstairs where thr music was even louder. Lots of stairs to thr second floor if you give continue that gas difficulty climbing them. The music was just on the edge of being too loud but we were still able to have a conversation. That did change 30 minutes later when a DH came out to each table and said the music was getting "turn't up". That's where our conversations stopped due to the volume. We ordered the cinnamon rolls (also known as monkey bread) to start. Everyone was disappointed in that. It was barely warm, not enough icing and way too much dough. I ordered the cheeseburger with bacon and s fried egg on it. Very delicious and well cooked. The fries were good too. My wife had the breakfast tacos and was not happy. They can't out cold (breakfast tacos with scrambled eggs and bacon) and lacking seasonings. My son has the standard breakfast and said his eggs were barely warm as well. Here's the kicker! This is an expensive breakfast and the quality of food was very dissatisfying for what we paid.

Solid cute trendy hangout spot for good appetizers. We went on a Sunday afternoon for a family meet up, so they were serving their brunch menu. I was a little disappointed because I wanted to try the redfish, but was told that I couldn't order off of the dinner/regular menu.

Came here to celebrate my birthday lunch with my co-workers. The food and atmosphere were great!!! Service was good but they were short staffed so it took a long time to get our bill so we could pay. I would definitely come back here again later in the day (like for happy hour). Fun vibe and great menu options!!

I went to STIRR with my girlfriends a few weeks ago and had such a great time! The food and drinks were so yummy--flavorful, fresh, and just what we needed to kick off the night. Our server was super sweet, super attentive, and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. Downstairs gives off the perfect vibe for a chic date night, a girls' dinner, or even a solo bite if you're in the mood to treat yourself in style. But upstairs? That's where the party starts! After hours, it turns into more of a lounge-meets-club vibe with great music, good energy, and the kind of spot where you can dance it out or just vibe with your people. Whether you're out with your girls or your boo, it's the place to let loose and shake a little feather. Highly recommend for the full dinner-to-dancing kind of night!

Truthfully, I was iffy about going here because of the mixed reviews. However, my coworker chose this place out of the list I had made for her, so why not? Coming in, the interior is very sleek and modern. The ambiance was fun and lively especially for a Wednesday evening. The service was good-he was pretty chill and nice! Drinks: Whenever I go for drinks, I usually stick with small shareable plates. For the drinks, I ordered 1 Espresso Martini, Seasonal Margarita, 1 Femme Fraise, and 2 Prosecco's. I would totally recommend the Femme Fraise, it's pretty refreshing and great. The Espresso Martini tasted more on the light and creamy side, whereas I usually like mine dark and bitter-sweet. The Seasonal Margarita just tasted like straight Tequila, but I still enjoyed it. My coworker had also ordered the Over The Waterfall and it also tasted like straight Tequila as well. The Prosecco's were good as usual! Food: We started off with the spinach & artichoke dip which was good! Had to order more bread due to the ratio being a little unbalanced which is not bad, but very common across restaurants nowadays. We split the Nashville fries, Brussel sprouts, and mashed potatoes. The Nashville fries were not spicy like how we were expecting, but they were flavorful! The Brussel sprouts were good and the mashed potatoes were simply just creamy mashed potatoes. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of American food nor do I ever crave it, but this place is actually a place where I would definitely come back to.

Not even trying to shit on Stirr cause this is my absolute spot!! Sunday vibes always on point!! I usually stick to what I know but wanted to try something different I ordered the potatoes, scrambled eggs etc and steak... I came in hung o we from Saturday night so I woulda ate anything ... or so I thought The eggs are not real eggs .. There no way anyone can convince me those were not box- powered.. the potatoes were undercooked and so light skinned I was disgusted ! Like cooking brown them up let them cook longer and get a little skillet burn to them! The steak was cold and if it wasn't for the green sauce to save it I probably wouldn't have eaten it!! Also what's going on downstairs we were at the Bar and I noticed a lot of the seats have rips and holes I can't see myself giving Stirr 1 star cause that's my spot and I'm gone stick beside her .. However regardless of the price of eggs y'all can't be serving folks fake eggs man!!! I even had my brother and aunt taste to make sure I wasn't crazy!!!

Food overall was good here. Seemed like two different restaurants. The upstairs was really loud. So loud you could feel the music downstairs. I am sure it was a good time up there but wasn't my vibe on that day. Menu was diverse, to include mock tails. Our server was nice. Parking lot gets packed so give yourself plenty of time.

Stirr is always a vibe! Whenever I go I always get the redfish and any drink on the menu. The services is always great, whether up or down stairs. Love the happy hour food and pricing & love the club vibes on weekends.

Stirr is a nice weekend vibe. Depending on the time of day, it can get crowded very quickly so plan accordingly. I had zero intentions of eating here, but somehow ended up ordering the Spicy Buffalo Chicken Flatbread. The buffalo sauce was a bit overwhelming and took over all the over flavors. It wasn't a terrible flatbread, but I expected something different. Chill environment and chill staff so a time was still had.

Great place to host a large brunch gathering! The inside is really cute with lots of natural light coming in. There is also an upstairs floor! From the start, customer service was excellent. It was hard deciding what to order because the menu had so many great options, but I went with the chicken fried ribeye. The duck fat gravy could've been a tad more flavorful. I do think the ribeye was slightly tough but nothing too egregious. On the other hand, the mashed potatoes were excellent!

TBH I didn't think I would like this restaurant! The menu is all over the place-I think every cuisine is represented. It has seafood, Italian, Chinese, Cajun, BBQ and American. How could all of these be perfected?! Well apparently I'm wrong. Everything my party of 6 ordered, from ribs to calamari to Cajun chicken was tasty and exciting to eat. We started with the crispy calamari with sweet chili dip and volcano dip. This calamari rivals the best in Dallas. Tender big pieces fried to perfection on top of well seasoned slaw. We also shared the caprese bruschetta which was a stunning presentation and taste to match. The dish came with 5 slices and I'm disappointed that the waiter didn't offer to bring us 6 slices as there were 6 of us. I had the Cajun chicken frites for my entree. This featured tender pieces of pan seared chicken in a beurre blanc sauce. I recommend! The fries were also excellent and I do believe Stirr has mastered frying! Husband had the lobster ravioli. I did not get one bite so there you go. Service was good. Nice atmosphere.

Stirr is a great restaurant for Happy Hour! Love the 2 floor place with beautiful scenery and decor. We sat upstairs on the covered rooftop. Also they have day parties in the next room on Sundays which looks really nice. The expersso martini was great I had to get 2, but also their happy hour menu includes half off cocktails so the drinks total came out to $14. Buffalo chicken flatbread was delicious with the perfect balance of buffalo and blue cheese. Happy hour lasted 3-6 pm, next time I'm in the area I'm DEFINITELY going back. A friend of mine planned a birthday brunch here and called to make a reservation for 15 people. She was told that she would need to have a purchase minimum of $525 on the reservation, if not the balance would be charged to her (odd). Well when they set up the area, they gave us two separate tables. I don't know why they would do that for one party and there were spots where they COULD have consolidated the seating area. I had the bananas foster pancakes. In theory, they sounded great. In reality, there was one tiny piece of what seemed like dehydrated banana on the pancakes under the cream. Overall it was a pretty good stack of pancakes. The service to be honest left a lot to be desired. I understand that big parties are challenging, but it was forever before the server came back around to ask if anyone needed anything. The vibe on the other hand was really nice, complete with a DJ who was doing his thang on the ones and twos! More than anything I feel like the ambiance of Stirr is its saving grace. read more

My wife and I checked this place out during a weeknight. It was not packed at all, which was nice. But I'm sure this place gets packed during the weekends, just like the Deep Ellum location. They don't have any patio seating but the upstairs area has windows that they open up whenever the weather is nice. So we decided to get a table upstairs close to a window. The cocktails were okay, but nothing to brag about. Luckily, we went during happy hour, so the specialty cocktails were $3 off. I wouldn't pay full price for them. The food was fairly decent though. And they were half off during happy hour: -Corkscrew mac and cheese (3/5 rating) : "1/3lb of cheddar, mozzarella, edam, campanelle pasta, garlic buttered bread crumbs." This was pretty good. I wish the cheese had a thicker consistency though. -Hot maple chicken (3/5 rating) : "breaded chicken bites, maple piri-piri sauce, house made blue cheese dip." It had a crunchy outside, and tender meat inside. It paired well with the dip. -Spicy sausage flatbread (3/5 rating) : "spicy italian sausage, house marinara, mozzarella, roasted peppers, parmesan confetti." The ingredients complemented each other fairly well and therefore, provided good flavor. Despite the food and cocktails being mediocre, this place had a chill vibe to it and perfect for hanging out. read more

So disappointed!! Only because my Calamari appetizer was good did they get the 1 star- otherwise pathetic. I ordered the Kung Pao Shrimp and the shrimp, inside the hot noodles, were cold,deliciously seasoned,but HOW???? I was confused but willing to get it remade. Looked great- but no! I kindly returned it and it came back HOT!!! No seasoning and no chili peppers. No flavor and noticeably fewer shrimp( yes , I counted)....I even showed the manager this pic that I used for this review. Just hot noodles, hot shrimp and hot veggies( I guess). I tried to eat it because I was looking forward to the repeat FLAVOR from the cold shrimp. This was pathetic. They didn't even try to appease me as a customer but still charged their mandated gratuity. Never will go there again. The one in Deep Ellum was perfect ! read more

Me and my husband are here for a low key birthday getaway for him and we decided to come for brunch! The food was 10/10. I had the burger and he had the Goose Biscuit Breakfast Sammy! I honestly can't say enough bad things about this place. I walked into the place and I immediately noticed what looked like two "working girls" at the bar. To be clear I was attending a large party dinner event expecting mediocre service and it was actually worse. Now imagine ordering a bottle of wine and they tell you they don't have that bottle, and then that happens two more times. We literally joked that they needed to go to the grocery store to get the wine we wanted. We waited an hour for them to take our main entree order and at that point we had only received one light snack. I was starving. Another important call out is that they served us one drink over our entire dinner and the wine glasses they gave us were FILTHY. This couldn't get any worse right? Actually, it did.... The employees were vaping in the kitchen!!!! We finally received our dinner and it was cold and our broccoli was RAW. I feel like I was being filmed for a comedy bit. My bestie and I visited Stirr today for a gals brunch & catch up session- we sat downstairs in the slower area but the music and ambiance was great for what we were looking for. After reading some of the reviews I was worried about the food quality but everything we ordered tasted amazing! Went here for my partners birthday. They got the Four Cheese Tortellini and added Chicken. They said it was a good dish! The tortellini were huge and the chicken was flavorful! I tried the buffalo chicken eggrolls. I believe the dipping sauce was blue cheese fondue. Although the sauce was decent, I didn't really like it with the egg rolls. It tasted fine on its own. The eggrolls, for me, tasted better with ranch because I'm basic :) so I got ranch to dip them in and yummy. I would like more of the buffalo sauce in the eggrolls because its spicy and sweet and I want ALL the Spice lol. They also brought out a huge ice cream sundae for the free birthday dessert but I was so full I barely took 3 bites, The ice cream was smooth and delicious though. The vibes in the restaurant were really nice and casual and I liked that the had the upstairs rooftop dining. It was super packed so we did not go up but I would come back to experience the roof top for brunch! Our waiter was super cool and he recommend some great dishes! Food was great, service was excellent but one thing makes this place a no return for me. They charge 20% tip on a dinner with only two people. Now I always add 20% but taking away my choice simply isn't smart. A tip is something the customer should make a decision on not the restaurant. I haven't had a restaurant in this area do this. It was a five star till the bill. Also music in the restaurant downstairs was conflicting with the music upstairs. Pretty noisy. read more

The service was absolutely terrible! Our server off the bat came off really rude when she greeted our table. The vibes were just really weird and it seemed like she was just annoyed for no reason. She didn't ask one of my friends if she would like her plate to be taken away and she was in the middle of eating lol. Not to mention the pancakes were burnt. Any time we asked her for anything it was like it was such an inconvenience or something. Come to find out, if you come on a weekend, an automatic 20% gratuity is added to your tab no matter how large your party is. Which now looking back makes total sense why our server was so rude and careless with our table because she already knew she was guaranteed a tip. So keep that in mind I guess. It's honestly really stupid because I wouldn't question 20% had our service actually been DECENT. Not to mention, they have a Commodity Fee?? Whatever that is. We were given some ridiculous explanation as to what the hell that is and we were told it was to adjust prices for "the recession"? So that "food prices wouldn't also increase"??? I don't know the way the place works is really weird and sketchy. On the plus side, the inside was super pretty and there was lots of really nice natural lighting flooding the building. The portions were a pretty decent size! I would definitely recommend the monte cristo for brunch. read more

Yesterday we went to Stirr for brunch. It wasn't that busy. When we sat down the waitress came and got our order very quickly. There was a big delay in getting our food. The wait was about 30-40 mins and that was just to receive the appetizers. The food came out about 10 mins later. I was very disappointed about that. The food and drinks were good but the wait wasn't worth it. read more

Super cute spot that opened up in the Addison area. Good location for a date, girls brunch, and dinner. They also have an enclosed table for business lunch. It's bright with high windows, music was on point, and waiters are friendly and helpful. They have a rooftop patio, and spacious bars upstairs and down. Food and drinks were good. We got a charcuterie board, flatbreads, mac & cheese, and the cinnamon roll bread pudding which was amazing. The three of us visited Stirr Addison for lunch on a Friday. Great modern and clean atmosphere. It was a nice to get out of the heat and into a very temperature cool environment. A friendly hostess greeted us and offered us our choice of tables. Surprisingly there was hardly anyone there - maybe 3 other tables. People were missing a great lunch based on our experience. Our server, Duncan, was top notch. He was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and clearly focused on making sure we were without issues or needs during lunch. We began with the Grilled Peach Bruschetta. It has 5 pieces and was fantastic. A great blend of flavors with the fresh mozzarella, crispy prosciutto, and peach on toasted bread strips. Each of us had a different main course. Sesame Tuna, Turkey Club with sweet potato fries, and the Stiff Smash Burger with regular fries. All three were perfectly prepared and delicious. The burger/sandwich was spicier than you might find at other restaurants, but we loved it. We especially loved their spicy ketchup. Hands down I love this place! Celebrated my birthday here and everyone from the host, to the manager, to the bartender Jade, to our lovely waitress was amazing. We walked in and grabbed a few seats at the bar! Once a table opened up, we were truly blessed to be on the first floor by the back window table that sits right in the front of the bar! The manager was fantastic with moving us around and checking in on us! The host did the most in trying to quickly move tables around to give us the perfect arrangement! Jade was so great! The food arrived in the all too common practice of showing up tableside as the staff holds it above eye level while shouting "WHO HAD THE blah blah?", instead of using an order seating system and just quietly serving it without having to shout at everyone up and down a long table 16 to 30 times. Personally, this type of dinner service really bothers me as it shatters any ambiance the place may have had, and kills conversation. It shows the wait and kitchen staff lack training and organization skills, but worse, that they have no concept of what dining out is, or should be. This isn't the Catfish Shack guys, get a grip. Unfortunately, I ordered the Cobb Salad which was sub par made with hamburger toppings, factory diced iceberg lettuce, diced tomato, diced egg, diced avocado, with all appearances of being shaken out of a bag, unfortunately with the wrong dressing. Dressing was on the side, thankfully, so that was fixable by flagging staff and waiting another ten minutes. It might have been resolved faster had waitstaff asked how is everything??? The Cobb was 75% of an entree serving but more than enough given what it was. A friend had the glazed salmon and rice which looked very good, other entrees looked fair, some of generous proportion. Unfortunately , as this is a larger restaurant with nice covered patio seating, it is possibly the worst of the lot as Preston/121 location is top notch in comparison. It is in need of decent management, perhaps to train/retrain the whole staff. Rather disappointing. I have no desire to return to this location.

Initially, it was not terribly loud, but as the evening progressed and several large parties were seated nearby; the sound of the music was completely drowned out. I think more noise abatement measures could be taken to absorb some of the obtrusive loudness we were getting. For a starter, we ordered the Calamari. It was fried perfectly and was great, but the Thai Sticky sauce was too sweet and the consistency of the sauce was thin. It needed something to make it more viscous, and a secondary sauce, like a marinara or even an aioli would've been nice to balance out the sweetness of the Thai sauce. For an entree, I ordered the Maple- Ginger Salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly and itself was delicious, but the sauce was too sweet and rich. The fired rice that accompanied my meal was over-the-top salty. It was almost going into "too much" territory. For desert we split the Passion Fruit Ice Cream Pie. This was actually very good and not overly sweet. It was my favorite item from my meal. Overall Renny's truly employs a lot of care and attention to the food, but some of the items crossed a line into "too much" territory. The food itself was still good, which is why I'm giving it three stars, but between the uncomfortable seating, tiny table, and lack of attentive service, it wasn't a very pleasant dining experience overall.

Came to visit some girlfriends from out of town and they said Stirr was the place to be...that was a lie it was a ghost town. The aesthetic was overall a 10/10 but there were some qualities that made Stirr fail, but that's not to say that I didn't enjoy some things about Stirr. The upstairs turns into a lounge with a live DJ supposedly, but me and the girls were hungry so we sat downstairs to eat. The drinks were really good I had the uptown girl and my girlfriends got the girl from Dallas and over the waterfall. The over the waterfall didn't have me chasing it but it was pretty. The volcano shrimp was pretty good but I didn't like the spiciness to it, and the chicken whatever dish was pretty good it was missing a little bit of flavor though but I still ate it. Our server girl was flirting with the guy server the whole time we were there over by the kitchen which was weird to see. I guess with how slow it was you would have down time to flirt and talk with your boo. Between the two I'd take the guy because no matter how much our server would cling to him he'd manage to run circles around everybody else... good for you guy. My girlfriends said that the restaurant next door Vidorra was more of a club and worth checking out so we ended up leaving and going there. It was definitely the place to end the night. I would say after drinks, food and service I'd give Stirr a solid 6/10. Would I check out Stirr next time I was back in Dallas? Probably but I would try the one in Deep Ellum... I had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience at STIRR. When I originally booked the reservation, I was told the price would be $35 per person only if my group had 21 or more guests. Since my party was going to be about 15-18 people, I spoke directly with Lauren, who confirmed that we would NOT be charged $35 per person and that we could have separate checks. However, on the day of the event, our waitress informed us that we had "$100 left to spend" after everyone paid their bill, which made no sense based on what I had been told. When I explained the situation, the manager came over and insisted that the group was still being charged $35 per person. I told him that was not what I was told. I even called Lauren again, and she denied ever saying what she had originally confirmed. The manager then told me the total would be $169, so I agreed to pay it just to avoid further conflict. But when the check arrived, the total had somehow jumped to $225. At this point, I was beyond frustrated -- how does a bill go from $100 to $169 to $225? On top of that, the service wasn't great. The waiter was rude, and the constant back-and-forth over pricing completely ruined the experience. Overall, I would NOT recommend STIRR for group reservations or any event planning. The lack of clear communication, shifting charges, and poor service made this a terrible experience read more

When you walk in you see a lot of people and are greeted by gorgeous hostesses surrounded by smiling servers and it looks cool like a fun atmosphere. Everyone is having fun and enjoying the thrills this place has to offer but once we actually sat down at the bar. LMFAO it's totally different. We ordered pretty basic drinks and we watched the bartender pour us the wrong liquor every time while he also rolled his eyes. When I said something to him he tried to tell my wife and I that we didn't know what we were talking about? Never brought me the manager so I can't say we got any kind of resolution here. I hate doing it, but I asked a server walking by to grab the manager for us, and she said that he'd be over soon. That was a lie. "He" never came over to speak with us. Next time we're sitting downstairs because the difference between upstairs and downstairs is crazy different. Just be careful when you order that you're getting what you actually pay for. Overall the experience was a 5/10 but we are hopeful that if we sit at a different bar maybe the experience will be better or maybe we need to sit at a table. read more

My recent visit to Stirr in Addison left much to be desired. From the moment I stepped in, the service was unsatisfactory, to say the least. The bartender, in particular, exhibited rudeness that tainted the entire experience. Upon arrival, the bartender failed to greet us and instead, when asked for a menu, carelessly tossed it down and walked away. Throughout the night, their demeanor remained consistently mean-spirited, casting a shadow over what should have been an enjoyable outing. To add insult to injury, the drinks we ordered tasted like they were made from concentrated juice, lacking the finesse one would expect from a reputable establishment. Moreover, the restaurant's policy of automatically adding a 20% gratuity only exacerbated the situation, seeming to disincentivize genuine hospitality. Overall, my experience at Stirr was disappointing, and I cannot in good conscience recommend it to others. The lack of courtesy, subpar drinks, and questionable service policies detract significantly from what could have been a pleasant dining experience. read more

I can say that Stirr is a lively place to be but what makes or breaks this place is the staff. Many members of staff looked like they were enjoying their work except for our server. The short girl with brown hair downstairs (Sophia) was just miserable and in a mood or something. She was not engaging with us at all and seemed like we were bothering her the whole time we were there. Not to mention her RBF was not appealing at all. I will be taking a break from Stirr unless we have a different server who wants to be there. Don't recommend sitting at Sophias table unless you want very low level Service. We were honestly jealous at how everyone else had servers who acted happy to be there. Maybe we Will try the bar next time (Where the bartenders looked like they were happy and engaging) read more

Not entirely sure what was up with the bartender this weekend, but this man was either drunk or high while he was working. He was so low energy and unenthusiastic I didn't want to spend another minute upstairs while he was working. We asked one of the other bartenders what his name was and she said it was Miggy. We didn't come for attitude and low energy! I thought this place was going to be fun, but I guess the reviews are 50/50 right? Maybe we didn't come at the right time. The eggrolls my gf got were good but nobody liked the nasty dipping sauce. Maybe we'll try again another weekend. The place itself is cute though. read more

Terrible Managers = upset servers = terrible experience for me Watched as the manager screamed at the server Thursday night and caused her to be obviously upset and then fumble the rest of the night. When I asked her if she was okay she said that's just how it is with him being a manager here (vanier). If my server has to deal with mood swinging managers no wonder why her service was less than expected. I tipped her well above 20% and I encourage everybody to do the same what with this guy running everything. Great service and super fun personalities that made the experience soooo much fun since it was me and my boyfriends first time there. Will def be back to visit them!! Redfish was 10/10! Buffalo chicken egg rolls were really good and the drinks were alright. The place is a vibe but I wanted to sit upstairs where everybody else looked to be going, but we were told we HAD to sit downstairs by the host (odd). Our server was not having it today and was mean mugging us. Her attitude sucked and was stand-offish. SMILE GIRL!!!! No mask. The waiter, cooks, bartender.. no mask was on. We were a little taken back and were a bit uncomfortable but had already ordered appetizer so didn't want to be rude and leave. The food was not bad but the mask thing just blew us away! Unfortunately, it may be good for them but it wasn't good for us.
