Now, the table had some weird compartment under the bottom so the two people on the left could not put their full legs under the table. They had to turn sideways. I feel like the tables were used for something else and they chose it for a table. Not sure but moving on. Waiter - Sydney was amazing, kind, and introduced us to the menu, offered water, etc. The food took a little while to arrive but the portions were great and was amazing. Nice and flavorful. My family and I had a deeply disappointing experience this past Saturday night. While the restaurant features beautiful decor and the food I managed to taste was quite good, virtually everything else about the evening fell far short of acceptable standards, especially at a steep price point of $120 per person. Our group rented the private back room. Ahead of time, we went through the cumbersome process of pre-ordering from a limited menu, with the reassurance that day-of substitutions would be allowed. Unfortunately, the service and organization completely unraveled from the moment we arrived. The many cons of the evening include the following: - Slow initial service: It took 40 minutes just for a server to greet our table and bring water. - Delayed drinks: Drink orders took an hour to arrive, and some guests never received their drinks at all. The bar even ran out of ice, serving warm, flat cocktails. - Unacceptable food delays: Appetizers took two hours, and main courses took three hours to arrive. - Abandoned side dishes: Side dishes arrived so late that some guests had already finished eating their main courses, forcing us to cancel all remaining sides and desserts. - Inattentive staff: Water refills and clearing of finished plates were so painfully slow that a member of our own party had to step in to clear the table and refill water glasses. Another guest waited an excessive amount of time for basic cutlery. - Ignored requests: When I asked to change a pre-ordered side, the manager, Ashley, said she would follow up but never returned to address it. The manager Ashley showed a striking lack of accountability or concern for our experience. When we addressed the poor service, she unprofessionally suggested we dispute the mandatory 20% gratuity with our banks rather than address the issue directly. At $120 per person, the complete lack of attention to detail, organization, and basic hospitality is unacceptable. I took my boyfriend here for Father's Day, and overall, this was a mixed experience. The biggest highlight was the food. The flavors were incredible, and it's clear a lot of care goes into the dishes. The atmosphere and aesthetic were also beautiful. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow and really impacted the overall experience. It took about 35 minutes to receive our first round of drinks and another 30 minutes to get our appetizers. By the time our food arrived, several items were cold, including the crab balls and my boyfriend's shrimp and grits. The pricing also felt a bit off in some cases. The crab balls were delicious, but $28 for three very small pieces didn't quite align with the value. Our entire meal took nearly two hours, when it realistically should have been closer to an hour and fifteen minutes for two appetizers, two entrees, and two drinks. Had the service been paced better, we absolutely would have ordered additional food and drinks. I understand that some dining experiences embrace a slower, more relaxed pace, but as diners in Atlanta, there is still an expectation for a reasonable cadence of service. That said, I would return because the food was genuinely excellent. Next time, I'd probably sit at the bar to see if the service tempo is different. I was expecting more of a crowd for a Saturday evening but was glad it wasn't that busy, or loud, on the inside. Our server Sydni was amazing. She was down to earth, honest, and helpful in making our experience as enjoyable as possible. After deciding on drinks, we were brought bread, which included butter and oil. We decided on octopus and hummus for appetizer. Drinks were brought to us and we had questions about the fish options which we found out that unfortunately the only fish they had was the branzino which was disappointing. Our appetizers were brought. Drinks 10/10. Beautiful presentation, full glasses, and great flavor. Octopus 4/10. Mild flavors, small portion, a little chewy. That corn puree was amazing though. Hummus, do not recommend. Beautiful presentation but that's it. Hummus lacked flavor and the veggies could've been chopped smaller and maybe even blanched a little. Overall we didn't have a great experience. We spoke to the manager and he understood our feelings, gave us a simple rundown of why they were out of fish, as well as a small compensation. My friends and I decided to have a girls night dinner at Verdure Kitchen. It did not disappoint. We really enjoyed ourselves. The ambiance was great. They had the cutest Christmas Tree. I liked the fact they have a light at the table to indicate if the table had been served or not. Our waiter was Cartier was nice and attentive. He was the only server on duty and he did NOT drop the ball once. He recommended the espresso martini. It was one of the best ones I've had. The food was really good. I ordered a Cesar salad and the herb Mac and cheese. My two friends enjoyed their food as well. The food did take a bit to come out. The service was so good we didn't even notice. There was one cook. He was working HARD. The food came out hot and tasty. Over all experience was great. My only issue was the parking there is barely any street parking. One member of our party was served wine in a chipped wine glass. I ordered an $18 smoked old fashioned. There was no smoke and no large ice cube. There were remnants of an ice cube. I saw the owner milling about the restaurant during this disastrous service. He NEVER came to the table to offer any apologies. While we waited for our cars in the "valet parking" the owner walked right past us and said nothing!! The positive thing that came from this experience was that the young servers did their best in a terrible situation. The young man was powerless to make the situation better, but he apologized. The young lady (can't remember her name) was patient even when we became rightfully impatient. I hate that these young people were placed in this situation. We had a dinner party for my uncle this past Saturday 8/8/26 ant Verdure and the experience was dreadful from beginning to end. The restaurant had required that everyone in our group pre select their meal from appetizers to dessert which we did. We all got there on time and were seated. It took 30 minutes before water was served. Drink menus were presented but nobody came back to take drink orders until I asked the manager if they were going to serve us drinks. Over the cause of the night at least two or more of our party did not get drinks, appetizer, entrees or sides ordered. Silverware were missing, a chipped wine glass was presented. The manager was un receptive when we pointed out some of the glaring lapses in service and informed us that they were short staffed.Only one of the servers took accountability and apologized to us at the end of the evening for the poor service. I came here around the holidays with a group of 4. It's a beautiful restaurant located near the botanical gardens. Dimmed lighting and very aesthetic. Our waitress was pretty attentive and I remember her coming around pretty often. The restaurant was busy but not noisy where you couldn't hear the person next to you. Onto the food... as a group we ordered the Brussels sprouts, octopus and Egusi hummus. The Brussels sprouts might have been the best I've ever had. Sooo delicious. However, the hummus was disappointing. We ordered it thinking we'd have at least a small taste of Egusi but there was none just kind of bland hummus. The octopus was fine but nothing to write home about. Then for individual entrees: I had the lamb chops which were fine but I felt a bit overpriced. Two people from my party had the sea bass which was comically small for the price and the other had the Branzino which she thought was just okay. My first time at Verdure and it was a lovely experience. The customer service from the valet attendant (Nahom) to our server Sienna was great! Sienna was friendly and professional and handled our specific situation with professionalism and patience. The cocktails were delicious as well as the food. Although, the cocktails and dishes may take awhile it is worth the wait and crafted with love! The location of the restaurant is nicely tucked away at the end of the street. The ambiance of the restaurant provides a warm vibe-it has the perfect layout where it does not feel crowded but intimate. Please note this restaurant does not split checks individually. If you are adamen about this perhaps it's best if you call ahead to ask although those policies vary restaurant to restaurant so you should always plan ahead and never assume all operate the same way. Ultimately, I enjoyed my experience and plan to return for their brunch. Out of the selections of water, we decided on the still water cause we thought it was complimentary. Before we finished the first bottle, another bottle was placed on the table without us asking. We did not know until we received the bill that each bottle was $8.00. I think we should have been told the cost beforehand and asked if we wanted another bottle. The bread was complimentary and we wanted another basket. This time they did inform us it was $5.00. We said okay, even though it was 4 strips of bread, just enough for one each. We were starving and again barely had chance to finish before the guy hoovered to snatch the plates. We had already decided on what we were going to order before we arrived. One of us was getting the Sea Bass, two were getting the Red Snapper and lastly the Piri-Piri Chicken. We were informed they were out of the Sea Bass and Red Snapper. Big disappointment. They quickly removed the beef Wellington. I probably should have kept it because the fish was ridiculous. Thankfully my cousin looked at her supposed lamb and said this doesn't look like lamb and didn't touch it. I hope they didn't serve this dish to someone after it sat with us. I came to brunch at verdure and parked on the street for free and once inside I immediately appreciated the interior design and decorations. There was a musician playing the saxophone during the meal which was nice live music. There's a nice classy vibe. We had a nice and attentive server and were able to order quickly and the food and drinks came out in good timing. I got the shrimp and grits, which was not made in the usual american way. It was kind of a twist on the normal brunch meal, and I enjoyed it, although the portion was a little small. The only downside of the day was that we ordered two additional drinks near the end of our meal and they never came. We were not individually asked if we wanted still, sparkling, or bottled water, but all charged according to one persons preference at the table. When issues were brought to the managers attention, he dismissed and belittled me. The interior was fun and inviting, plus on Sundays they have a mimosa special. However; the servers were busy and did not get the table's order in time for the special which was disappointing. Our server was nice and we ordered drinks.... Which did not come for 45 minutes. We ordered our food and that also took an hour to come, and some of the food was not even hot. We came to celebrate my little sister's college graduation -- a special occasion that should have felt memorable for all the right reasons. While the ambience and décor were undeniably beautiful, the overall dining experience failed to match the atmosphere the restaurant presents. The food and drinks took an exceptionally long time to arrive, and rather than guiding us through unavailable menu items with thoughtful recommendations, our waiter simply listed what could not be ordered and moved on. What truly left a bad impression, however, was the handling of our table's water service. One person in our party accepted sparkling water, and without individually asking the rest of the table for their preference, sparkling water was served to everyone. Later, we discovered our group had been charged nearly $50 for water -- something that was never clearly explained upfront. We addressed our concerns respectfully with both the waiter and the manager. We were a large party with a bill well over $1,000, yet the response was dismissive at best. A very minimal discount was offered, and despite a lengthy discussion, they refused to remove the unexpected water charge. Eventually, we chose to let the matter go and leave peacefully. What made the situation even more unsettling was noticing that the police had apparently been called as we were exiting -- despite the fact that we never refused to pay, never attempted to leave without settling the bill, and never carried ourselves in a disrespectful or confrontational manner. For a venue that clearly invests heavily in appearance, the service, food, and drinks were mediocre at best. Between the hidden-feeling charges, the paid parking ($10), and the lackluster hospitality, the entire experience felt more focused on extracting money than creating a quality dining experience. Venue and Atmosphere As you stp through the doors you are transported to a lush tropical paradise. Straw light fixtures, plants, and floor to ceiling windows surround you, along with mood lighting on each table. Service Service was prompt, courteous, and efficient. The server noticed that I wasn't a fan of my first drink and promptly made a great recommendation. Food and Beverages The Caesar salad and prawns were amazing. The strip steak was tender and juicy, but lacking in flavor. They did bring seasonings to accompany the steak, but I didn't plan on using them at first. After a few bites I discovered that the seasonings were necessary. My partner ordered the lobster mac and cheese, which was perfectly creamy with well-cooked lobster. We had the most amazing experience at Verdure! My husband and I had to pause for a moment just to soak in how incredible both the food and service were. The flavors were out of this world -- every bite was a masterpiece. The fried octopus was, hands down, the best I've ever had. The sea bass was perfectly prepared, and the lobster in the mac and cheese was tender and cooked to absolute perfection. We got to the restaurant at 730 on a Sunday night. They had valet parking out front which is a nice touch but since there was street parking available we opted for that. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful, the tables are well spaced and the seats are comfortable. We had the opportunity to try many dishes as we had a few people with us. Appetizer wise the prawns were solid. The sauce was a bit salty but the sauce had a nice base note of flavor which stood up to it well enough. The lamb loin was nice, Brussels sprouts were okay. My wife had the sea bass which she was happy with. I had asked the server what the most filling dish on the menu is since I was really hungry. She told me to get the ribeye so I did. It was much smaller than expected, cooked to temp but tough and stringy. I also ordered a side of spinach and asparagus. The sides are pricey so you would think you'd get a reasonable amount. The spinach side is $9 and I ate it in 3 bites. The asparagus side was better but still only about 8 spears. The part that that made the evening difficult was how long it took to order and get our food. I'm all for taking time to eat but for an appetizer and an entree it should not take almost 3 hours. On top of that we had to pay a service charge of over $110 and it certainly was not $110 worth of service. All in all I wouldn't come for dinner again. It's too pricey for what it is and the service was unfortunately lacking. Not too mention I left hungry. Valet parking is available for your convenience to get right in, as there is very limited street parking. Once inside, the ambience of the restaurant really needs to be taken in. (please go to the bathroom). The bread offering was this light and toasted focacia with butter and olive oil and a dash of salt. So inviting! The cocktail and wine list is extremely impressive. I have many times shot at cocktails over $15 with base alcohol like tito's vodka or captain morgan rum NOT THIS PLACE. true craft cocktails and wines that take time and effort to source. Anyone who has blue points available daily gets a high five from me baby. Fresh and delicious. I didnt even mind not having horseradish as their vinagrette was delicious. I'll pass next time and here's why... We showed up for our 5:00pm reservation and little early so we sat in the parking lot until about 4:50. We reached the front door and before we could even come inside, the hostess says "sorry we don't open until 5:00pm". Understood. Although it's cold and rainy, we wait outside until 5:00pm. Once we reach the door, the same hostess approaches us and says "they're finishing up their staff meeting so you'll have to wait for a second". At this point, I'm a bit annoyed. Our reservation is at 5:00pm so why are we feeling like we're intruding on a meeting that should've happened before customers arrive? But hey, it's Atlanta. Although the restaurant is absolutely beautiful, the food lacked seasoning. The complimentary bread was a nice touch but my strip steak and spinach needed flavor. Verdure is absolutely beautiful, the other reviews are spot on about that. Aesthetically, it's perfect for a special occasion or fancy date night. Our waitress was very nice and took time to explain everything although at times it was a little hard to hear her. I also found the process of removing plates from the table to be odd and clunky. We had beautiful place settings upon arrival, and then they came around and asked to remove everything. It just made things a little awkward as this took a couple visits from staff to get everything. I didn't order a drink but everyone who did really liked theirs and the presentation was nice. Verdure is pricy and we weren't super hungry, so my husband and I decided to split the Octopus for an appetizer and the Lamb Chops for the entree. I loved the Octopus but beware it's chewier than calamari so that may freak some people out. We enjoyed the lamb chops and thought the portion was decent (we took the last one to go). I don't consider Verdure group friendly because they have an inflexible bill policy. They'll only split it between 3 cards and will only do an equal split. For a pricy luxury branded place, I'd expect flexibility to simplify and enhance customer experience. read more

First off the space is gorgeous! Its all about the details every light fixture, lamp wallpaper deco; everything gave what it was supposed to give. Pretty plates deserve an environment that complements!!! The service was great everyone was calm curiosity and professional which I truly enjoyed I felt comfortable and at ease right away. Now let's talk about the food and drinks!!!! Loved everything I tried. I am I huge lover of African flavor simple yet so much depth. I started with the Pineapple Spice Concoction- spicy and delicious at no point were they shy about the tequila so that was splendid. It was a late reservation so we opted for light seafood options and wow I was so impressed. The Volcano Tiger Prawns were amazing the sauce was top tier! I had also tried the Red Snapper dish and the Mussels both incredible and both highlighting true African flavor without overpowering the delicate seafood. The bread they served was so beautiful I almost couldn't eat it. Never in my life as an Italian from Chicago have a bread plate so delicious yet so aesthetically pleasing all at the same time . Thank you to the chef for giving curious palates a perfect way to experience African cuisine and culture. When you offer a valentines day dinner it is helpful to let the customers know there will a set menu saved what the price for per person will be before the customer gets there. Also provide solutions when you tell us that that has been a common problem with your advertising. They did not offer to readjust the unadvertised pricing or credit the deposit to the drives we ordered or even just refunding the deposit. Was very disappointed with the lack of care for me and my partners time and we will not be going back or recommending. In reply to Tobi, that is not true the hostess even told us that the advertisement was not seen by people who reserved there table before a certain time. They were even telling everyone "just so you know, tonight is a set menu". 125$ for one crab cake, chicken and plantain, and a red velvet cake. I went here over the weekend as I booked the cocktail experience and it was an experience indeed! Upon arrival, there aren't many parking options. Luckily I found a spot on the street or you can valet. When I walked in, I was instantly greeted with kindness and quick service. Since I booked the cocktail experience, I was seated at the bar. Each person behind the bar was introduced and I was given a menu. Then I was asked if I wanted the complimentary bread service. I truly appreciated this as some people don't always want bread so this prevents waste. I went to order food and a drink. Luckily everyone behind the bar was knowledgeable on food and drink items to provide recommendations. I ordered the zesty pineapple-glazed gambas (shrimp) hot appetizer and grapefruit tequila Negroni drink. Everything came out timely and was delicious! I was really impressed with the shrimp dish. Very flavorful! What I was really impressed with was the cocktail experience. Whenever a bartender makes a drink for anyone in the restaurant, extra remains to give to the people sitting at the bar. So maybe don't order an alcoholic drink if you plan to be there a while as you will get plenty of it during this experience. Finally, let's talk about the decor. Absolutely exquisite! I finally had the opportunity to dine at Verdure! My friend is getting married, and I wanted to celebrate her engagement, especially since I've seen so many buzz around this establishment, I thought this would be the perfect place. First and foremost, Verdure is exquisitely decorated, with an ambiance that's perfect for any celebratory occasion. However, as we prepared to place our meal orders, we encountered some discomfort due to the limited table space our plates, drinks and complimentary bread that is provided on the house. To start, I ordered the brussels sprouts, which was delicious! As for my main entree, I chose the strip steak and mashed potatoes, accompanied by plantains and red rice on the side. Enjoyed a weeknight dinner at Verdure. This west African inspired restaurant has a beautiful cozy interior making it great for group meals or more intimate meals. Reservations are a must and there is limited bar seating. I parked at valet, but there appeared to be limited street and metered parking. The restaurant is on the pricier side. Drinks start at $15 and dishes around $35. We enjoyed the bread service, plantains, steak, and branzino. They also have many large sides and vegetarian options. The staff was friendly, but it did feel like we were always being upsold. We also Ordered Brussels without bacon and bacon was there. The spot is relatively new so assuming just kinks to workout.
