My kitchen sink had standing water in it on both sides. I had put Liquid Plumber in it. The house reeked of bleach! Might have used a bit too much. Oops! They came to our house pretty close to the time that the owner/wife said they would be here, which was good, but they did not call or text me like I had asked when they got here. Instead they knocked on the door, which in turn made the dogs bark while I was on a call. I had explained to the owner/wife that I work from home, on the phone, and I did not want anyone knocking on the door, because my dogs would bark. Mind you the owner/wife told me that wouldn't be a problem and they could do that. So I am still ok, A little aggravated that they made the dogs bark, but glad someone was going to fix my sink! Yeah!! They came in and started working on the sink by draining some of the nasty water out of the sink into a bucket and then walked outside. Now during this time, I was still on the phone helping this customer with their computer issue. The 2 workmen could hear me working, because my desk is around the corner from the kitchen. When the guy came back in my house I could see that the bucket was empty. I had just finished my call and hung up the phone. I asked him, "Where did your pour that water out?" His reply to me was, "In the grass." There was so much Liquid Plumber in it and it smelled just like bleach! I couldn't believe that he poured it in the grass! That water was toxic! So I said to him, "Well, I don't want you to pour it in my grass, you can pour it in the rocks." His response back to me was, "It will be ok, that's what I always do." I then replied, "No it is not ok, I don't want you to pour that in my grass, you can pour it in the rocks, that way it can kill the weeds and not my grass." Then he says, "Well do you still want me to work on your sink?" I was shocked! My response back to him, "Well, yes". Still in disbelief that he even asked me this question. He then says, "Well, I don't think I want to fix your sink!" I was astounded! My response was so quick, "Get out of my house then!" Now, I want you all to know, that this was one of the & Sons. I promptly got on the phone and called their office, and preceded to tell his Mom/owner what had happened, and she said that this was not acceptable. That he would be dealt with. I got from how much she was apologizing that this wasn't the first time something like this had happened. I told her I was going to post it on the internet. And explained to her that we will never call them again, and I was going to post it on the internet because he needs to realize there are consequences to his behavior, that just because you are the & Sons doesn't mean you can dismiss what the owner of the home wants. I guess he was expecting me to say, "Oh no! Don't leave, please fix my sink!" Not in a million years! I am not paying our hard earned money to some company that treats their customers like that. And there are consequences that come from giving poor customer service, BAD REVIEWS!

The company refuses to produce receipts for confirmed trips to Home Depot and Handyman Hardware, despite multiple mentions by both the manager and handyman of purchasing materials from these stores. Their response has been, "Trust us, we buy in bulk," which is not acceptable without documentation. Workmanship was subpar, with several jobs left incomplete. Prices were extremely high, and the business practices appear questionable. I was never hostile, but when a company threatens collections, I have every right to seek legal counsel. We had hail damage from a storm in July and our roof and gutter downspouts needed to be replaced…read more We had Travelers Homeowners insurance and JCP Roofing is one of their recommended contractors. I contacted John, the owner, who promptly came out, got on the roof and inspected it, and said his team could replace the roof within 6 weeks, which was good with our schedule. Our house has a turret with an 18 on 12 roof pitch so this was NOT an easy roof to replace either. John submitted a contract that specified the type and amount of shingles, materials for the code upgrade, roof tear off and gutter downspout details. He asked for payment of my deductible and the front half of the insurance payment on the day they arrived to start the job. He also said he would provide a lien waiver upon completion and receipt of the final payment. Another roofer wanted half down on contract signing and when I asked about a lien waiver, I was told I would have to talk to the owner about that. They went out of business a few weeks later... Our roof size is 53 squares. JCP Roofing removed and replaced the roof in 2 DAYS. Quality is outstanding and after the cleanup, I would have never known they were there. The gutter downspouts were replaced a few weeks later and it took his team a few hours to do that. Those also look great and they added a couple of extensions as needed to direct the water anyway from the house. John is very personable and professional and easy to work with. His team does great work so if you need a new roof JCP Roofing is your go to company.

Nothing was diagnosed, nothing was resolved, and the system was left in worse condition than before. When I spoke with the supervisor, I was offered a return visit -- but only if I paid another service fee and hourly rate. The suggestion was that "we can watch the furnace all day," but at my expense. Meanwhile, I was already charged for a full hour even though the technician was reportedly there for 48 minutes. If they're rounding up, it raises the question of whether I'm entitled to the remaining time I paid for. At this point, the pattern feels less like a repair‑focused service and more like a replace‑the-unit operation. When a company can't keep its story straight, doesn't follow through on basic communication, leaves the equipment still failing, and immediately pivots to more charges or the implication that replacement might be the next step, it's hard not to feel like the goal is selling a new furnace rather than fixing the one I have.
