I was going to come here on my last visit to Laughlin when it was the Hickory Pit but I could get no one to answer the phone to make a reservation so I went to Bullhead City for dinner instead. In the months since, I noted that the name was changed ti Stockman's. I put it on my to try list. While staying in Laughlin, I phoned and made a reservation for that evening at 5:30. I walked from the Aquarius and arrived a few minutes prior. I was promptly seated at a table, given a menu, and was brought both water and iced tea that I ordered. I didn't read the fine print on tge menu so I ordered French onion soup before ordering the main course. As I was eating my soup, i finished the order with an 8 ounce filet and my server, Robin, asked what kind of dressing I wanted on the salad. The fine print is that with an entrée, you have your choice of soup of the day or a salad. I ordered the steak Oscar style. It also comes with a twice baked potato. I ordered the steak blue. I was brought a bread basket and I had some cheese bread which was good. The onion soup was terrific. A nice layer of bread and cheese over the rich beef broth with many onions below. When the steak arrived, I cut into it and saw that it was very red just the way I like it. I asked Robin to thank the chef. Often, the kitchen is hesitant to send out such a rare steak fearing it will be sent back for not being done enough. That won't happen with me. I was a little disappopinted wurg the Oscar style as I was expecting a small piece of crab on the steak. Instead, the Oscar style was a sauce with pieces of crab. The sauce and crab were quite good, so I wasn't too disappointed. However, the twice baked potato was a sad looking side. It was about half a small potato with some potato on the shell. Not twice baked like I've gotten before. For dessert, I had to try the Oreo cookie cheesecake. It was a mound of cheesecake with small pieces of cookie in the cheesecake and sitting on an Oreo crust below. It was a great way to finish the meal. Service was excellent! Robin was there with a fresh iced tea before I needed it. It was a pleasant meal except for one young couple who were very loud quite possibly from the amount of alcohol they had. To sum it up in a word.....GROSS. Let's start off by saying the service was great. Friendly. Drinks filled. Was great. The ambiance was not unpleasant. Kind of modern, rustic, with country music playing in background. The food....the bread they give was good. The calamari fries were good. The baked potato was good. The soup was a steak soup. It was literally mushroom gravy with a couple pieces of steak in it. It was not very good either. The pork chop was pounded thin, breaded and deep fried. It was greasy and that is all that could be tasted. The asparagus was very thick and inedible. The cheesecake was the grossest part of the whole meal. One bite and in the garbage. Spent $100 with tip for 2 people. Definitely will not return. The 2 star rating is because the service was good. read more

Being named Stockman's Steakhouse one would think they know how to cook a steak. This did not happen today. I ordered my steak medium rare and I got one cooked medium well to well. I sent it back and then waited 30 minutes for a new one. I finally called the manager over and explained the situation. I asked for the steak to go as I had to leave by then. Stopped in Laughlin for the night and decided to try Stockman's. The restaurant is located on the river level at the Edgewater. It is clean, seating capacity for all size parties. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We called before going but didn't really need to as there was plenty of tables available. The bread they serve is huge and topped with melted butter. My sister and I both ordered ribeyes cooked medium rare and the food came super fast. The steaks were seasoned and cooked to order. There didn't seem to be any "wow" factor for me at Stockman's, so it isn't on a top 10 list of mine. For the money there are better places in close by casino. read more

We had such a good time last year that we came back. We had reservations with the restaurant, and got there right at 6 PM. We didn't know about the early bird prime rib Special, which ends at 6 PM, but that didn't matter to us. I wish they would advertise that more. We did get a mailing from the Steakhouse with the special menu, which I have included with this review. We were greeted upon arrival, and waited on by John, who is an excellent waiter. His bus boy/service person was also up on his game. Our food was delicious, I had Salmon, which was recommended by the waiter, and my companion had a pork chop. The pork chop was boneless, and hammered out into a baseball glove sized fillet and lightly breaded which she said was delicious. The fresh bread rolls were nice, but as mentioned in another review had an "off" flavor to them that I couldn't identify. The salads that came before the meal were of the arugula and radicchio type lettuce, which we didn't much enjoy, but it was very plentiful. Our meals were accompanied by huge asparagus stems which were delicious. Both the salmon and the asparagus had a smoky flavor to them, which was delightful. We had cheesecake for dessert and it was absolutely wonderful. On our departure, the hostess was busy bull-sh**g with another employee at the bar, and didn't care that we were leaving. Good for groups up to eight, this classic American steakhouse offers the traditional fare you'd expect. A variety of steaks all in the $50 range with sides served separately a la carte. Everything was way better than I thought they would be! For a steakhouse in Laughlin I didn't have the highest hopes but they were a pleasant surprise. Maryann was our bartender and she was polite & attentive. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms & chopped wedge to start and both were tasty! Then we shared the 16oz ribeye that was cooked to perfection! First, make a reservation at least the day before. We attempted to get into the restaurant in years past and were unable to because we didn't have a reservation. There was a live guitarist/singer named Matt James that was very pleasant to listen to while eating, and yet we were able to carry on a quite conversation at dinner with the drone of background noise. My Casino Host Tracy from the Edgewater Casino set up a dinner reservation for me on a very busy night. It's the first time that I visited this restaurant, the previous restaurant Hickory Pit was one of my favorites in Laughlin. Although busy, the wait staff and bartender delivered a timely period between food that I ordered. The shrimp cocktail was larger than I imagined and the Caesar's salad was crisp and fresh. I ordered the surf and turf, which they allowed me to have prime rib with the lobster tail. The restaurant has been remodeled into a nice warm theme. I have eaten in many restaurants in the Laughlin Casino area, I think this is one of the nicest experience for a relaxing dinner. read more

I live locally, in Bullhead City, and occasionally go to the Edgewater to play. Sometimes, before going home, I order a meal to go from Stockman's. Last time I was there, I ordered a meal, but when I got home I noticed that they had left out the salad and the dressing which comes with the meal. I let it go. Yesterday, I went down to the restaurant and ordered a prime rib dinner to go, especially emphasizing that I wanted it to be rare. The meal cost $45, including tip which was as I expected. However, when I got home and opened the box, I saw that the prime rib was medium, instead of rare, asI had emphasized when ordering. I took a picture of what came in the box for reference. As I lived locally, and was not a hotel guest, I wasn't about to go all the way back there, so I called, and was told that the manager would get in touch with me. I am still waiting for someone to call me back for, if nothing else, an apology and maybe some sort of a remedy. I don't have any problem paying for a meal that is cooked to my specifications, but I resent having to call a number of times to talk to a responsible party. This is unprofessional behavior. First of all let me start by saying we thought we really lucked out with being able to get a last minute reservation on a Saturday night! The Asti sparkling wine was good but a bit too sweet for me (they were out of Prosecco) boo hoo :o( Our side salads were wonderful! Very fresh mixed greens and we both loved the blue cheese dressing! My husband devoured his cowboy cut ribeye w/the blue cheese sauce and my filet mignon was perfect! Rob suggested to have It butterflied it because I like my meat medium well, it was a little pink in the middle but it tasted perfect! We both added the lobster tails-also perfect! When they served our steaks there was a little piece of grilled onion (almost like a pearl onion but bigger?) as well as a grilled shishito pepper which were very flavorful additions to enjoy with the meat but honestly they should put a few more on each plate? What an awesome meal! The prices were Quite surprising for a top notch steakhouse. I've heard Saltgrass is amazing too but way more expensive... go here first! I highly recommend dining here! The hostess on Saturday, July 19, 2025, was absolutely horrendous. She was rude, and disrespectful in the multiple interactions we had with her. We asked about a table, reservations, and even seating at the bar. She was short with her responses, and acted as though we bothering her. She never stopped to actually look at us when we spoke to her or when she gave her one word responses to us. She seemed like she hated her job, and once we sat at the bar with the amazing Jamue B., she could be seen never smiling while seating customers, and was even grumbling to herself while she put a new setup out on a table for the next guests. She was definitely not someone you would think a restaurant would want to have as the face and first interaction with customers. It was disappointing to say the least, but Jamie B. served us our drinks and meal at the bar with a smile and the attentativeness you would expect. The food and drinks were awesome except for the Mac n cheese which was as abysmal as the hostess.(It was a watery mess of uncooked noodles and no cheese.) Will we ever go back, only if Jamie B. serves us and we don't have to interact with the "grumpy cat" hostess. read more

Have been dining at this restaurant for many years, including when it was the Hickory Pit, which I might add was superior to Stockman's. The menu seems to have been reduced drastically, cutting out a lot of our favorite dishes from when it was Hickory Pit, for example, no scallops, crab legs, ribs, pork chops, lamb, and only 2 dessert choices. The food was good as was the service. The reason for only 3 stars is that it is now really overpriced for the quantity of food you receive. Four of us went to Stockman's Steakhouse last night before a concert.The restaurant is very nice and clean, and the ambiance is very welcoming.We ordered our dinner, and it came in a timely manner and that was the last time we saw our waiter until we ordered dessert. Three of us enjoyed our meals, and 1 person in our group ordered a steak. He ordered it medium rare, and it came back well done.Well, he ended up eating 1/2 of it and took rest home for an egg scramble. Should have given our water boy the tip he was on it. Went for dinner while traveling for work. It was decent overall. I just ate some apps (Stuffed mushrooms; shrimp cocktail; and a lobster bisque) The Good: Service was good no real complaints here. The Dining atmosphere is upscale casual classic steakhouse, with some country music playing but not overtly loud. The shrimp cocktail was amazing. Nice size cold shrimp. Things to improve: Some things that are just keeping this place from being 5 stars, but nothing that ruined dinner. Lobster bisque: Great flavor texture, but there was some lobster shell in my soup Stuffed mushrooms; They had a great sauce. The stuffed meat though lacked seasoning. Manhattan: A little too strong, and a manhattan is made with a brandied cherry, this came with regular cherries. Speaking of drinks I was surprised there was no cocktail menu or wine list. We go to Stockmans usually 3-4 times a month. I think we will not be going anymore. While the service is ALWAYS impeccable,the food being prepared is the worst it has ever been. The brisket is great. It has been tender and tasty. As far as the steaks and the fish , that is an entire different story. Lets start off with the chefs. Almost all of them are here on work visas. Their experience is slim to none and that is evident in the food being served. In a place that is suppose to serve steak house food , one would think the emphasis would be on the food! Steaks have been too salty, and they put more than enough pepper on them. This ruins the steak, as all you can taste is the salt and pepper. Also, the steaks are cooked either too well or undercooked. Last night our steak was undercooked and another table in the restaurant had ALL SIX steaks overcooked. Yes, all six were overcooked. Last week, the fish was cooked so well, it was like eating stale bread.I do not know if they are trying to cut costs by hiring TEMPORARY chefs, or the new manager Rachel, is continuing her ways of ruining GOLDEN ENTERTAINMENT eateries. Lets hope upper management Jeremy, (The GM) or Ed, (ASST GM) do something to rectify the unhappy customers. read more
