Loved the atmosphere of this location! They have fun artsy walls, and a huge outdoor area dedicated to folx who enjoy standing while eating like me. They also have a few bench seats as well. This place gets packed on the weekends, and parking can be difficult to find. Pack your patience, place and order and wait for your name to be called. I enjoyed the breakfast sandwich, but wish it had a better meat to bread ratio. The bread was fluffy and soft, but a bit too much for me. The breakfast fries looked amazing, but were slightly undercooked. That was a bummer, because they looked so good! I might need to return just to give these a second go. My friend enjoyed her breakfast enchilada stack, and we both enjoyed every drop of our latte and tea. This place has a wide variety of offerings, so I wouldn't hesitate to return and try something else. Even after the workers noticed I was wearing niners gear after SF clapped some hawk booty cheeks last night, the service was still superb! The food was absolutely fantastic. We heard a whisper behind us in line declaring that this place had the best breakfast burritos. My wife ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito with high hopes, and I went sweet with the waffles and a side of sausage. Let's start with the burrito: it looked promising and generous in size, wrapped tight like it had something to prove. But flavor-wise? Meh. It desperately needed jalapeños, sour cream, something to give it life. A salsa IV, perhaps. Compared to other breakfast burritos in Seattle, this one fell flatter than a nonstick pancake. My waffle was tasty. It was crisp, golden, doing its best but I couldn't figure out how it rang in at $10. Was it woven with threads of gold? Not that I could tell. And the strawberry syrup was sweet, but there wasn't enough of it to cover the whole thing and I'm not even a syrup-drowner. Felt like a stingy pour. As for the sausage... a mystery. It showed up ground like someone got tired halfway through forming a patty and just called it a day. Not bad, just unexpected. Like, if you're emotionally prepared for links or patties, this version might rattle you. The chai? Let's just say no one's writing poetry about it. Not terrible, but it tasted like it gave up halfway through its identity crisis. Not spicy enough to be bold, not creamy enough to be cozy. It just existed. The café itself is cute. The windows are beautiful, there's an indoor/outdoor vibe that makes you want to romanticize your life, and there's a lot of seating (though it fills up fast). A little overstimulating on a busy day but in a mostly charming way. Now. The woman at the register. Whew. I'm not sure what we did to deserve her wrath, but she greeted us like we were late to a fight she already won. Snippy, impatient, and kind of... lowkey insulting? I went to check out Stone Way Cafe with a friend last Sunday. I was excited because the cafe has been closed since I started my job in the area like 1.5 years ago and I've been hearing the hype around it. Everybody else is also happy that the cafe reopened, so it's been packed every time I walk by for the past few weeks. It was of course packed when we went around lunchtime on Sunday. The line seemed to move at a decent speed, especially because they had a staff walking around taking orders on an iPad as well as another cash register station. It still took us 20 minutes to order but the wait was fine. I thought the food is priced fairly. I decided to get the breakfast burrito because my coworker was raving about it the other day, and they were pretty good! I wish they had less potato and more egg in it but still quite enjoyable. It was so big that I took the other half home and reheated and ate it the next morning. The burrito got me excited to visit again and try more food on their menu. Coffee tasted good too. read more

Was really excited to finally try Stone Way Cafe after hearing so much about it. Great ambience inside, ample outdoor seating, friendly staff and was fast. However I was ultimately disappointed. We ordered a burrito, sandwich, and some kombucha on tap. Kombucha and sandwich were great (the bun was excellent). The burrito on the other hand was lackluster especially after all the praise from the other reviews. Sure it was a generous portion but 80% of the burrito was undercooked, soggy, and bland home fries (same on sandwich side). Found a hair in my burrito as well sadly. Because of its position in the neighborhood, I could see myself coming back here to give it another shot but I definitely won't be going out of my way for it. Found this place through Yelp and it was near our AirBnB so perfect to go for a late breakfast/brunch in the morning before leaving. There were so many options to choose from! Everything sounded great. We were able to walk right in and order pretty quick since it was a weekday. They have lots of indoor seating a some outside seating. Seems like this is a cool spot to come and study or do some WFH. I ended up getting a decaf cappuccino and the Cajun Benedict. The portions were quite large! Luckily I was very hungry. They had all the garage doors open which was nice for the occasional breeze but overall I was a bit hot and sweaty. This was one of the higher rated coffee and breakfast spots in the area and one that had seating. Many places only have a walk up window with really no where to sit and eat/drink. Stoneway on the other hand really brings it with the food options, even including specials. I was a bit torn between the options they had. The breakfast sandwich, burrito and enchilada all different from each other sounded good. Even after asking for a recommendation I couldn't decide. That to me is a good thing when many of the offerings make you pause. I settled for the breakfast enchilada - house-made chorizo, queso oaxaca, spinach, jalapeños, enchilada sauce, over-easy eggs on corn tortillas. Very hot, loaded and filling. I definitely recommend adding Valentino sauce on top. I got a Latte which was alright, nothing to go crazy over. The tag line for Stone Way is -- Beer, Coffee, Food, Music. An awesome combination which seems to be pulled off well enough here. This is as far as the food and coffee part. They have alcoholic beverages in the fridge section but it was too early for any of that during the visit and I suppose the same for music being a weekday morning. I did notice the area where perhaps an act would be with speakers, wires and more laying about. What I liked most about Stone Way beyond my meal was the system they have. A girl taking orders, a guy doing coffee and two ladies doing the cooking and prep. Many places I've seen like this people are multi tasking and that leads to some sort of mistake. They'll shout your number and you come pick up your food. It works. I'd come back to Stone Way. This visit went my way. read more
