As I stood waiting at the Valencia location for the phone order I called in several minutes ago to be-ready, a big flame shot up from the grill which had caught my attention from a huge slab of tri-tip that had hit the grill. I decided to pass the time by taking a picture of the big hunks of meat cooking on the grill. After snapping a single photo, a nicely dressed woman approached me with a smile on her face and politely told me to not take any pictures inside the restaurant. I thought she was joking. When I asked her why, she said that the restaurant is growing rapidly and doesn't want any secrets to get out (I'm paraphrasing a bit). I can respect her answer, but seriously, I'm shooting a 3 megapixel image on an iPhone...and besides, if I wanted to steal some of your secrets, I have a photographic memory and made good mental notes. Stuff like this doesn't usually bother me, but I honestly left the restaurant feeling criminalized. Distraught, I don't even care to write a review about how good their food is. All I can think about is some nice family bringing their relatives to Stonefire Grill for a birthday gathering and wanting to get a group picture of the family and friends who had flown in from across the country for this memorable occasion, only to be stopped-short and politely scolded for their iniquitous act of taking a photograph inside the Stonefire. I guess someone doesn't know that Wood Ranch and Rattler's BBQ lets their patrons take unbridled photographs in their restaurants free of inquisition. read more

This resturant was super busy but the line went quick . Customer service was really good. Food was very delicious and reasonable price we got a family meal deal. Which it came out really cheap . The atmosphere was nice the booths upholstery should be re done . No padding it feels like your sitting on 2x4s it hurts your glutes. Also bathrooms are really nice only thing it was not stocked with paper towels. I told the worker he stocked them really quickly. Sept. 25,2021 I called to order and was put on hold for 46 minutes total! For the first 10 minutes, someone lifted the phone and without saying a word placed me on hold again. I decided to hang up, redial and it happened again. This time I didn't give up and waited. Finally, after 36 minutes a man who sounded so bored or tired took my call. The first thing he said was we have bad connection and cannot hear my voice! I took him off my speakerphone and still, he said he can't hear me. I asked for his name and sounding so bored he said, Dante. I asked to speak to his supervisor and without saying a word placed me on hold! I gave up on Stonefires extremely bad customer service and moved on to another restaurant. read more

I eat here all of the time and I love their entire menu! Their salads, soup, sandwiches and of course BBQ meats are all fantastic! We even use them for catering our parties often! However, last week I ordered the tri tip meal for 2 to go and I finally had an issue with their food for the first time in years! Who ever sliced the tri tip forgot to slice the meat against the grain and the entire portion was extremely chewy and very difficult to eat! It was a choking hazard, so my kid didn't get any of that for dinner! I'm not the type of person to call and complain, but I actually felt compelled to call the manager! She was very nice and apologized for my bad experience, and she said she would send me a gift card mailed to my house to make up for it. Well today I received my gift card and she reimbursed my entire dinner and sent a written apology letter and she actually signed it herself! Wow, I have to say I'm impressed!!!! In this day and age, I would have never expected the entire meal to be refunded. I was only expecting a small amount to put towards an appatizer or dessert, but this definitely exceeded my expectations! So we went back twice since I wrote my not-so-happy review. I just can't stay away from the South of the Border Salad for too long! One of the visits was to get a few salads for a party I was hosting (turns out Pizza Hut wouldn't be so nice for a ladies brunch). And one time for dinner where my husband and I both got a salad to go. Both times were great, got what we ordered, and most importantly no one bathed in the dressing so there was enough to go around. read more

The ordering process is a bit convoluted. There's a hand-written "sign" on the door that asks you to order before you get a table. If you've got a group of people wanting to sit together, this can be a hassle. If it's "rush-hour", a line snakes out the door because there's really no place to stand "in line" at the cash registers. If you're not familiar with their menu, it's best you get one of the menu pamphlets before you go up to a cash register because the combinations and what comes with what can make your head spin. After you order, you're given a number and you find your table. Your meal is brought out (not necessarily en toto) as it becomes ready. We had a group of 81/2 (one child) who ordered in 4 different orders during a rush-hour on Sunday, creating 4 different tickets. It should have been simple enough: fill each ticket regardless of whether we were together or not. Some didn't get their salads, some didn't get the breadsticks, some of the breadsticks and sauces were combined so it wasn't clear who got what unless you knew the menu, and everything came out all hodge-podge. Speaking for just my husband and I: My caesar salad was just ok. A little skimpy on the dressing. My husband's cobb salad (ordered chopped and tossed) was delivered A-1 to him. I had the half-chicken/bbq rib combo which was served on this big metal tray-like dish (pizza tray??) and it was fine. Nothing special. Because we were eating outside on not a cold day, but a little chilly, the meat cooled quite quickly. I'm guessing the metal dish didn't help that much. For dessert, my husband had the carrot cake (he loved it) which was such a big portion, he snacked on it for days afterward! I got the brownie which was very rich, I could only eat pieces of it at a time and also nursed it for days. I prefer my brownies chewy and theirs is more cake-like. Inside, they have self-serve take-away cartons which is nice. It was an OK meal, not BAD... not special. I'd go again, but it'd not be my first choice. read more

Stone fire grill is top notch barbecue food. I feel that the best is their tritip with breadsticks. I would recommend you try out their mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese as well. The parking outside is good, there isn't any WiFi though that is free to use. The outside is surrounded by a parking lot. There are chairs and tables outside covered by umbrellas. Inside, it is noisy and there are many employees once coming in. The inside has high chairs and tables, booths close to the windows and regular chairs/tables in the middle. There is a beverage area to get drinks like sodas and tea. I don't recall any bathroom last time checked. Overall, the food was good tasting and cheap. The waitresses were fast at serving the food, about 10 minutes. read more

Stonefire grill has solid food! The service has always been very friendly, quick, and informative. You order at the counter and then get seated. We've always shared everything family style and I think usually get the same thing: Breadsticks- nice and garlicy Cartweel Salad- refreshing, I don't always like beets but they're good with this salad *Chicken- so juicy! This is a great spot to eat BBQ, salads and pizza. If you are looked to be served and waited on, this is not the spot for you. You order before you sit and you get all the plates, utensils, drinks and such yourself. The food here is simple and I love it. They don't try to do too much with what they cook. Simple bbq with simple sauces. I usually get the tri-tip BBQ mesquite pizza which hits the spot every time. Breadsticks, garlic mash potatoes, and medium rare tri tip are the safest bets. Been to some parties where they have this catered and it seems to taste just as good! A little on the pricier side for what you get, but you will get full much easier with the breadsticks and mash potatoes. I always get the tri tip and chicken combo which is wonderful the tri tip is great the chicken is great so I decided to try the chicken and rib combo tonight. The ribs are the worst I have ever had at any restaurant ever. They were tough and flavorless. Definitely needed to be cooked longer. The south of the border is my go to salad here but the bbq chop is good as well. The cauliflower is the bomb. I've been coming here for a while along with my son. At first everything was great. The last few times have been questionable. The last time I went with my son to bathroom and they ended up taking our food along with a toy from our table before we had finished. Today though, had been horrible. I ordered what I usually order for my boy, which are chicken strips. They took a whole 40 minutes, and to make matters worse they were cold! It does not take 40 minutes to make freaking cold chicken strips. That is unacceptable and they should be ashamed, this is the last time I ever come to this establishment! This is really sad. Food is dependable and always good. There's something for everyone and you won't go hungry! The petite size is enough for 2 if it's the only thing you're eating otherwise a petite salad is enough for 4 as a side salad. The pasta is amazing and pizza is very good.
