Not a great dining experience! Here's why: 1. Not impressed with having to order our dinners while standing at a cash register trying to speak with and order our food from a marginally interested and inadequately trained employee. Felt like I was at Burger King or something. 2. When the food came, of course the "servers" have no idea who gets what since they weren't involved in the ordering process. 3. NOBODY ever comes by to see how things are, do you need anything etc. Yeah, I know...this is the Stonefire "minimalist service" method of saving money. 4. My tritip was WAY undercooked and rubbery with gristle. Of course, there's no waiter to express dissatisfaction. Finally walked back inside to tell some guy working at the take out counter. 5. For the price they charge, the food should really be excellent, and it was not even close. It was just OK, except for the tri tip which was virtually inedible. If they are going to charge premium prices, I would expect to provide a lot better service. I prefer an "old fashioned" restaurant where you have a knowledgeable and helpful server who can make the dining experience more enjoyable. I do NOT recommend Stonefire. Maybe just order takeout and enjoy the food at home? Still paying premium price for little or no service at all. And the food may or may not be worth the prices. In my case it was NOT. read more

I love this place. We always get the BBQ chopped salad, pepperoni pizza, tomesto pasta and carrot cake. The cake is super moist and full of goodness layered in homemade frosting. The crust on the pizza is almost like wood fired. And their pasta is just a nice addition to the feast! We have been coming to this place for years, never had a bad experience until today, Mother's Day. First off, we ordered and PAID days in advance, upon receiving an email this afternoon saying that our order was being processed and ready for pickup at the set pickup time we head over to the restaurant to find a line 20 people deep OUTSIDE in over 90 degree temperatures. After waiting for over 30 minutes in line, we get up to a young lady at one of the pick up line registers who goes to look for our order only to say it hasn't even been started yet, and that they apologize the kitchen is very behind "as you can see." Now, while I understand things can be hectic for all and I understand it's nobody's intentions for this to happen, they should have sent an email alert or text alert as your email or phone number is attached to the order instead of having people show up and be surprised. There was a young girl with her grandma in line behind us who was so overheated she almost passed out. When they got up to the register they were told the same thing, and that "hopefully it will only be 30-45 minutes" we could all go wait in our cars. That is just unacceptable. There is no excuse when this is not the first holiday or the first day that I'm sure you guys have received tons of orders and had something like this going on. Also, nothing was offered to us besides once we got up to the very front of the line a waitress was walking around with small water cups. I came here on sunday and i really loved it. They have a meal dinner for 6 people for $80 and it was way more food than expected. The best part is they bring all the food at once which for me is a plus because you wont get full off one thing. Generally I stop in and just have two beers but on my last visit I decided to test the pulled pork sandwich. I found the pork to be juicy and succulent in the sandwich not to be over sauce. To Stonefire Grill: Please consider changing the vendor who supplies your tri-tip beef. Here's why: We ordered trays of tri-tip and chicken to take home for Christmas Dinner last year, 2018. While the chicken was tender and yummy, we were extremely disappointed in the quality of the tri-tip. Every slice of beef in the tray was so tough and chewy as to be inedible. It was so bad the whole tray of tri-tip was dumped into the trash. This Christmas we're again having 12 people over for dinner. Since Stone Fire Grill has been a family favorite, we want to give you another chance to get it right. This location earns two stars for the delicious chicken tortilla soup, the yummy side mash potatoes and the super friendly staff. For those that don't know, stone fire is fast casual, and the service is wonderful which is why I am not giving one star. Because of the sides I want to come back and try other things on the menu. With that said, I ordered the try tip sandwich which consisted of stringy and chewy meat that I had to use my hands to pull off my teeth. My wife ordered the barbecue chicken wrap that had old dry chicken with no barbecue sauce and no flavor. We also ordered the kids Mac in cheese which was equivalent to homemade mac & cheese gone wrong. Macaroni pasta noodles mixed with a mozzarella cream mixture which equaled a very bland and dry flavor; disappointing to say the least. I am actually amazed about all the people talking so good about this place, it must be the affordable prices. The items I ordered may not be popular? I can only compare the barbecue chicken wrap to the one at red Robin, and the one at red Robin is so much better with so much more flavor. If you ever try Dickey's barbecue pit you will have the best beef brisket And the best mac & cheese. This place is filled with very bland food yet for some reason it is popular. Stonefire is our go to place for casual dinners or for when we're craving their tri-tip and yummy salads. The service is fast, and the place is always packed (which isn't a surprise, given that the food is pretty good!) but you're never left waiting more than a few minutes for your food to be brought out. I've dined-in and had takeout from them, and both ways are pleasant enough for me to return! Their breadsticks are delicious, and I can honestly say that their prices are moderate (I'd even go as far as saying they're on the lower end) and with a menu as large as theirs, there's something for everyone. The fact that they offer different sizes/portions based on whether or not you're sharing with others is a big plus for me. It's kind of like Bucca di Beppo, though the benefit to Stonefire is that they offer a petite size for individuals who won't be sharing. My only complaint would be that there never seems to be any parking, but aside from that, Stonefire is great! read more

This is one of my new favorite restaurants. I know it is a chain with many locations, but there isn't one in my neighborhood. I ordered the lemon salmon, which came with a caesar salad. The salad was delicious and the salmon was phenomenal! It has this lemon, garlic, cilantro marinade that is to die for. I recommend dipping your garlic breadsticks (that melt in your mouth) in the salmon marinade. For dessert I ordered the blueberry cheesecake. I wanted to try it, even though I'm not a huge fan of cheesecake...and it was amazing!! The food was so good that my coworkers and I went back the next day for more. Everything we've ordered has been great, including the service. My other favorites are the garlic mashed potatoes and the whole roasted cauliflower. The cauliflower is roasted and topped with tahini and parsley. If you like cauliflower, you will love this. Other recommendations are the ribs, tri tip/chicken combo, cobb salad and carrot cake. This is a post about a menu item complaint. We loved this place. We went every other week. Our favorite menu item is the Baked Rigatoni with Meat Sauce. My son calls it the 'cheesy pasta'. We went to eat dinner there tonight and ordered it as usual. However, when it arrived it was awful. To call it cafeteria pasta would be way to kind. I spoke to a server who went to get the manager. Rather than coming out to speak with us, they sent the server back to explain that they decided to change their recipe. With our favorite item gone, we probably won't return. I feel like my favorite music group broke up or my starting QB blew out his knee. :( read more

They have really good specials that you can order solo or order a tri-tip meal for two which includes tri-tip (can choose between BBQ or Gorgonzola butter) 1 side, 1 salad & 4 breadsticks. To the Manager Tyler, thank you for your incredible Customer Service. I had ordered dinner this past Friday for a pick up at 7pm. When I got there, the parking lot was packed, you would have thought the restaurant was open for sitting. I walked up at 5 to 7, give my name and the car I will be sitting in to a very nice and smiling server, wish I had gotten her name. As I sat in my car watching people, all O noticed was each server running in and out with smiles and answering any questions they could. People waited in the cars and outside for their orders. At about 7:10pm a server came to my window to let me know they were boxing up my meal and would be only a moment. I was fine with that. I finally got my food at 7:20pm, ok had to wait longer than I really should have, but they were slammed. Got the food home and as I unpacked it, the Tri Tip did not have one inch of pink and it should have been medium rare. I called up Stonefire and had a lovely conversation with Tyler. He offered for me to come back down and they would make it right, however I was already home and told him I just wanted to give a heads up. Tyler insisted on taking care of me and today I received a gift card in the mail. In these crazy times, it is so nice to see someone take such pride in their company and customer service. If I'm ever in the SCV, I always make a trip to Stone Fire. Their servings are huge and their breadsticks and meats are always so so good. We ordered the tri-tip meal for two and it was enough food for our table of three. Their staff is always so welcoming and helpful. The server Jenna made sure we were well taken care of during the last meal I had there. She went out of her way to make sure our table was comfortable and was quick to help us with any of our requests. Will be returning when I'm back in town. We do mostly "to go" here and they are always a well oiled machine. I love that they double check the order and go over it again, with me. We love the BBQ Chicken Wrap but it doesn't always travel well. As for everything else, excellent! Love all their salads but the STONEFIRE'S BBQ CHOPPED is my favorite. I was introduced to this restaurant by a friend and all I can say is that I will forever be grateful to her for it. I've introduced other people to it tons of times despite living 30 minutes away. The first time I came here, my friends ordered everything on the menu so we all got to try a little bit of everything. I always end up ordering the pesto pasta though.
