Such a unique, ultra-fine dining experience! From the farm to table ranch style ambiance to the flamboyant food and beverage presentations and high quality personalized service. Although it is a splurge meal for sure, it is well worth it! My husband and I will be coming back here for special occasions. Our favorites were the wine selection, dover sole entree and famous mashed potatoes!

We came here to celebrate my mom's arrival, and my husband made the reservation for us. The ambiance was absolutely beautiful, and it was such a wonderful dining experience. We all had a great time as a family -- delicious food, great drinks, and attentive service. It was a perfect evening filled with happiness and special moments. We'll definitely be coming back!

I have had this restaurant saved on my Yelp bookmarks for a while and finally had the chance to go. Everything about it is absolutely beautiful. The views are incredible, and the space has so much character and charm. Even the bathrooms are beautifully decorated, which says a lot. You do need a reservation since it is inside the ranch, and OpenTable requires a credit card on file, so plan ahead. I ordered the grain bowl and it was excellent, and the crab cake was fresh and well done. Our waiter was wonderful and the service was great the entire time. I would absolutely recommend this and would love to come back for dinner. It is an incredibly beautiful restaurant and completely worth it.

I went to Stonehouse Restaurant for a birthday celebration. It was an amazing experience. I would highly recommend planning to spend couple of hours exploring and walking around the garden. This location has a breathtaking garden. For food, I would say I really enjoyed my wagyu burger. It was very tasteful and perfect seasoning. I liked the fact that it was done the way I requested. I requested well down and I got it. I would say I really enjoyed the dessert too. They brought a complimentary dessert as well which was a nice touch. My only complaint is about the drinks. For the price I was expecting better ones, but it didn't meet my expectations. For service, I would say staff were really nice and friendly. Our server was attentive and answered our questions. This location also offers complimentary valet parking.

Stonehouse has been a favorite of ours for years, usually for dinner. This time we came for their Champagne Brunch and, for the first time, sat outside on the garden patio. It was a beautiful setting, and the weather couldn't have been better - especially after SoCal had just survived yet another round of atmospheric river storms over Christmas. We were there with friends, and between the four of us, we managed to order most of the items on this special brunch menu. I started with the burrata and prosciutto, which was anything but traditional - in the best way. It was far more interesting and delicious than expected. I also ordered the shakshuka, my go-to at Stonehouse brunches, and it absolutely delivered. For dessert, I chose the profiterole, and it was hands-down the best part of the meal. I wish I could take those home with me. As always, the service was impeccable. Our server was genuinely warm and happy, and it showed. They kept the table perfectly managed - clearing and resetting seamlessly - and made sure our champagne, mimosa, and prosecco glasses were never empty. The worst part? Having to leave. Granted, we spent a leisurely two and a half hours enjoying the food, the setting, and catching up with old friends. Will we be back? Absolutely. We make it a point to come at least once a year. Stonehouse is an experience - it's not just a meal.

Beautiful rustic vibe for an early birthday brunch. Music, sunshine and smoked blood orange margaritas were the best! Service was exceptional. And food was delicious!

Dinner at The Stonehouse was an absolute dream. We came to celebrate my birthday, and it couldn't have been a more memorable evening. Our server, Antonio, was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and every recommendation he made was spot on. Every dish was outstanding, and the service made the experience feel even more special. The beautiful setting, delicious food, and exceptional hospitality made it a birthday dinner we'll never forget. We can't wait to come back! * I didn't photo however the apple pie was AMAZING!

With our adult children, we experienced Stonehouse together for the first time! The grounds are breathtaking with elegant lighting. We were in the dining room which is quite sophisticated, classy and elegant. The service was top-notch..kind professional, and knowledgeable. A wine connoisseur would find exactly what they are looking for in that book. We had a bottle of Pinot Noir and we were not disappointed. The food was good, but not as memorable as the ambience and service. Everybody liked what they had from the salmon to fettuccine....but it wasn't a WOW, I want to go back and have that dish again. Recommend the experience for sure. 1) request patio dining 2) wedge salad was fantastic 3) order the mac & cheese (yum). Would definitely go back for a special occasion. We ended our evening having a nightcap at the Easy downstairs. Super friendly service once again these folks definitely love being there. And that makes it that much more enjoyable.

The staff and service is truly impeccable. The ambiance is calm and quiet and the walk around garden including the chef garden is amazing. We went to the speakeasy and got the strawberry horchata and calamari - both were great! The speakeasy is fun! I recommend grabbing a drink there and walking the garden. The dinner had the best sunset view and was so charming. We got a couple of the Smokey drinks and that was so much fun! We got two filets and the macaroni and cheese. I think if we went again we would both get something other than the filet but the macaroni and cheese was great! Haha The service is probably the best service that I have ever received. I enjoyed every minute of dining there.

the service, ambience and food altogether at stonehouse are unmatched and perfect for celebrating a special occasion. started off with complimentary bread/olive oil and amuse bouche (lobster salad inside a cucumber). our waiter offered really good recommendations, including the spinach and squash truffle agnolotti with goat cheese fondue as well as the duck prepared tableside and the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream on the side. also recommend the mac & cheese with prosciutto!

I found this place while browsing Yelp as I searched for restaurants in Santa Barbara. I hadn't heard of The Stonehouse previously but looked at photos and after seeing how beautiful the restaurant was, immediately made a reservation. The restaurant is located within San Ysidro Inn, which is a classic hotel where JFK and Jackie once stayed. There is valet available at the restaurant. They offer an a la carte menu here, and service is lovely. My husband and I both loved the ambiance. It was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday. The food here was pretty good, but I wasn't amazed by anything. If it weren't for the ambiance, I think this restaurant would just be okay. I'd recommend if you're wanting to dine in a beautiful space.

Beautiful place & restaurant ambiance. Go early & wander around the grounds & chef's garden. The wine list is a novel & the sommelier visits each table to help you decide. Easy convenient valet service & readily greeted by hosts. Speciality drinks are wonderful & smoked drinks are done table side. Duck a l'Orange is flambéed table side & was really good. The fettuccine with shrimp was delicious & the shrimp were large. The portions of the mains were decent sized too. Received a complimentary dessert for our anniversary as well. Service was excellent. A bit pricey but worth it.

The food, scenery and staff are all 10/10! I love it here! I lost all hope in other restaurants after dining at the Chef'sTable at Guy Savoy's but the Stone House surprised me and was exceptional!

Hot or Not? Spoiler! it's a NOT. What a coincidence, it's happy hour . . . YAY ! Upon arrival, we were the only party on our end of the patio. (aside from a group of women on their way out.) We ordered our drinks promptly, but over the next 30m 3 small parties arrived, placed their drink orders, then their food orders, and were served well before us. disappointing. Despite being reassured multiple times over 30-40m period that our drinks were "on the way" they hadn't arrived long after having ordered--far before all the surrounding parties had arrived. We were checked in on plenty and added Ratatouille to our order. My Spicy margs finally arrived and (1) glass had visible lipstick stain on it. Luckily Bf double ordered for HH deal so I had the clean one while we waited to be checked in on to no avail. Beau had to wave down a server but 20m after a manager/owner ((it's unclear) she was casually dressed not in uniform like the servers.) but This woman came by and checked in we told her about the stain, she took the dirty glass, asked our drink and we get brought the wrong drink. Spicy Marg : 2/5 sips light refreshing and with a hint of spice not too overpowering. ($12) Bloody Mary: Beau thought it was ok would not order again.($10) Overall the experience felt dismissive and disorganized. We love to go for an experience, the ambience/atmosphere was great but the service we received ruined the experience, as the Idiom goes, IT LEFT A BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH. Ratatouille never arrived, we gave plenty of time and grace, decided to Cancel our order and request the check. Note: When we arrived the hostess said "it's just us two" so I gave the benefit of the doubt, on another occasion I would have left to avoid a situation like what we experienced, I understand. Server walking back and forth till we pulled him to our table to take our order, mind you the place was empty (now I know why!). He takes it from in front of me and leaves without a word. I wait and wait, eventually ask if my food is still coming, did he place the wrong order? "Yeah, your food is coming, yes wrong order". There was no "sorry if this isn't your order, there was a mixup" or something, ANYTHING. Food eventually comes, suddenly we have a different server, again no explanation. Food is mid at best. Dessert as an apology or something is out of the question, they've never heard of such a thing. Safe to say I regret wasting my money here, and it makes total sense why it's empty all the time. Don't bother, take your money somewhere else, there are so many great restaurants in Lower Village Montecito, this one is definitely a Must Miss!

For some reason, the only option for that time slot was the chef's tasting menu, though I wonder if we could have plead down to the four-course if we'd called ahead. The restaurant wasn't especially busy, and I'm sure there was some flexibility in the bookings. The chef's tasting was pretty decadent for a Wednesday. It was also a wonderful experience, a long dinner looking out at the beach, through sunset on a summer evening. Service was immaculate. Our waiter was fantastic, as was our sommelier Tre, a young guy with a clear passion for wine, who gave us handwritten recommendations for our upcoming trip to Paso Robles. We got the regional California wine pairing, and it was fun and educational, featuring several great wines that went well with our food. Dinner started with the house antipasti, a spread of small, delicate dishes. My favorite was probably the spot prawn open face sandwich with kimchi and finger lime, though I also loved the compressed melon topped with uni and Tsar Nicoulai caviar. There was a Baja kanpachi cigar, garnished with caviar, a super-thin toast with prosciutto and fig, and a shot's worth of sour plum juice flavored with cinnamon. Real Michelin star stuff here, both in the ceremony and the execution. Honestly, everything we ate was superb. The first larger course was the refreshing Cavaillon melon gazpacho with melon salad, feta snow, and an intricate melon rind tuille. Then we had a colorful Baja kanpachi crudo, silky raw fish arranged with shaved rhubarb, cucumber, avocado, pickled radish, pickled strawberry, and finger lime, with a strawberry aguachile sauce touched with serrano pepper. Next, we had Iron Chef tomato: tomato salad and tomato with panzanella; a sidecar of buffalo mozzarella and a "martini" of cool tomato water. Summery and light, with intensely concentrated tomato flavor. After that, bread service, house sourdough with ramp butter and Buellton olive oil. Two pastas, both very Caruso's, Italian cooking extruded through Montecito. There was casoncelli alla Nerano, crescent-schaped pasta with crispy fried zucchini, provolone del Monaco, and pine nuts. Then spaghettini with Stephanie's uni (thank you very much), burrata, and a lush tomato sauce fortified with shrimp consommé. We had the option of switching out our entrée courses for salmon and beef, for an extra charge. I don't know why one would do this with Channel Island white bass and Liberty duck as the default choices. Both were excellent, perfectly cooked. The bass came with Brentwood corn, chanterelles, and corn beurre a la nage, the duck--breast and sausage--with plum, in various forms, and sour prune sugo di cottura. There was a vibrant green palate cleanser of basil sorbet with candied pistachios and pickled and fresh blackberries, exactly my kind of dessert. Then a more decadent brown butter cake with marinated Santa Barbara peaches, pine nuts, and fig gelato, finished with vinegar infused with peach and fig. Finally, an array of mignardises: a chocolate hazelnut bonbon, a fig tartlet with goat cheese, a strawberry pate de fruit with Thai chili, a chocolate truffle with raspberry powder, and a Tahitian vanilla cigar with coffee. This was a special dinner, one I'd love to repeat in another few years. Next time, maybe we'll save Caruso's for a special occasion, but I'm glad we made the most of this lovely date night.
