My husband and I went here for our anniversary while staying in Ormond Beach and we were not disappointed! We started with the Buffalo Shrimp and it was very good. I had the Prime Rib which was cooked perfect and he had the Ribeye that also was cooked to perfection. It was a nice atmosphere and very clean. Our server did an excellent job. Anniversary dinner was wonderful. My husband and I decided on Stonewood for our anniversary dinner. The truth is it seems less common to have an outstanding meal these days. We have dined at some very good steakhouses in the past, and so we have experienced some excellent meals.We both ordered the surf and turf, I ordered green beans and he ordered mashed potatoes. We had a glass of red wine, and finished with the strawberry shortcake cheesecake. The steak was perfectly cooked and so tender (better than a recent meal at a nearby fine dining spot.) My green beans were snappy and deliciously seasoned. The wine was nice. And the dessert was from our opinion, THE BEST DESSERT WE EVER HAD. We had a friendly and attentive server, (thank you, Dana!) Would recommend you stop in and give them a try, they certainly exceeded our expectations and we left feeling so pleased that we had a terrific meal and experience for our special day. We have milestone birthdays this year, I may look into a group dining here. read more

I've been dining at Stonewood since they opened, years ago. It is conveniently located across the street from my timeshare. I was there 3/20/25 for my father's birthday. Long story short, terrible. You'll have a better dining experience at Apple Bees. Now for a little more in depth look at my terrible review. First our table of 7 was placed in a corner room, where a table of around 16-20 would shortly be seated. There were plenty of additional tables that could have accommodated our small party in the main dining room. As we sat waiting for a staff member to take drink orders, I had a sense that everything about this location had changed. The menu was presented much like a cheap franchise. My perspective comes in comparison to having dinner there February of 2024. The martini I ordered tasted like sea water, no good. Last time we dined, we had delicious artisan type bread at the table. The new bread option is pay to play and you're served the equivalent of frozen pretzel sticks. One of the petit fillets that were ordered at the table had the same tenderness as a slab of beef jerky. The quality of the food has declined noticeably. Everything was over seasoned, over salted, in an effort to hide the lack of quality. 17 minutes a stack of dirty plates sat on the table. No bus boys, no support staff. I'm saddened by the fact that I will not be returning after years of loyal patronage. My background is building bars and restaurants in the NYC, Long Island area. And unfortunately the bidenomics of today's world has slaughtered small businesses across the country. Tremendous overhead increases, the lack of willing workers from kitchen staff, to servers, to bar staff. I wish Stonewood well, but this is where my stop is and it's time for the rearview mirror. read more

The food was mediocre at best. My wife's Filet Mignon was tough. They took it off the bill. No bread on the table. Dirty plates sat on the table nearly 20 minutes. Bar drinks were terrible. They are known for Key Lime Pie. They had none. 7 people in our party for my birthday. This place has gone downhill. Will never repeat. Not the Stonewood it used to be. Sad. read more

The meal was just ok. Nothing special at all When we asked for extra bread to soak up our juice from the pasta dish ... they charged us two dollars for two small pieces of hard bread. Mediocre food at premium steakhouse prices. We visited on Sunday mid afternoon (3/26). The hostess walks up to the counter. No greeting, no "How many?". When I held up two fingers we were on our way to a table (booth). Our server Erin was cordial and pleasant, very efficient at her job. The french onion soup was decent and an ample sized bowl. We each ordered steaks, 8oz. sirloin and a 14 oz. ribeye, both medium rare. Steaks were cooked perfectly. The sirloin was, well you know, sirloin. The ribeye was tender as it should be. Flavor wise? There was no "Signature Blend" seasoning on either steaks, there was no seasoning at all. Longhorns or Texas Roadhouse does steak much better. (at a better price, too.) The "Roasted Garlic Whipped Potatoes"? Nothing whipped, or garlic about them. Just a scoop of mashed potatoes with minimal seasoning, if any at all. I will mention that a 1 inch hair was found on my steak. I was already two bites into the steak and didn't make an issue of it. After our dinner my wife mentioned it to Erin and she apologized and said we will notify the manager. The manager promptly showed and apologized and offered to comp a dessert. We kindly declined. When we visit a restaurant for the first time, a true measurement of a decent restaurant is to ask ourselves - "Would you visit this restaurant again?" Sad to say our answer would be "No." There are many Steakhouses with better quality food at better prices. read more

The food, service, and atmosphere are always enjoyable! We love to frequent places that are Local owned and operated whenever we can. We normally go to the LPGA location, but the beachside Stonewood is also very nice. Both have a very diverse menu with options for all tastes. We love that you can have different experiences and atmosphere within the same restaurant. There's a room that's got live music and has more of a lounge feel, a very large sports room and bar with tons of tiered seating for a better view of the TVs, and a more formal dining area as well. All are nice and welcoming. The event room is great with a wall of windows that overlook the pond and swans, and the guests have their own private bathrooms as opposed to having to trek through the restaurant when needed. From the casual aspects to the more upscale dining experience, the food and service consistently great! The steak bites are delicious, salads are huge, and their soups and sandwiches are all yummy and hefty portions. Entrees in the more formal area are tasty and also well portioned. Absolutely fabulous evening of celebration. Our friend Paul turned 91 and Nicole took excellent care of us. She is a breath of sunshine and was as friendly and helpful as possible. Last night's review of our dinner. My wife ordered the French Onion Soup which was very good then she ordered the Tuscan chicken the dish wast good but the meal was not quite warm enough. I ordered the cioppino the meal was overloaded with tomato sauce the squid/calamari overcooked and didn't look like the dish on the menu pic included. Needless to say I was disappointed.However the service was good and James was helpful and apologetic for the meal. I guess the kitchen staff needs a little bit more training. This was our second visit to Stonewood Grill with the previous visit being a couple years ago. We originally stumbled across it as it was in walking distance from our hotel. This location has plenty of seating options from outdoor space, to bar stools, to tables around the bar to their dining room. During our last visit we dined inside but this time we took advantage of the outdoor seating. There were no tables available so we grabbed some delicious drinks from the bar and waited at some lounge tables outside. We were seated and immediately greeted with menus. We knew from our previous visit that the seafood options were amazing so that would be a part of our order. Our table ordered the grilled fish of the day, ahi tuna steak, chicken pasta and shrimp with scallops. Everything arrived hot, fresh and tasted wonderful. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for fresh seafood and delicious drinks. read more

Great dirty martinis. I love the Tuscan chicken and have tried both the salmon and the poke tuna craft bowls. The tuna was definitely my favorite of the two and it looked beautiful when it came out. I have loved coming to this location for the past 15yrs or so. I had dinner there last night and I was disappointed with the quality of the food. We ordered the bruschetta for an appetizer and when it got to my table it looked different. It's supposed to be on grilled bread and have a crunch to it. This bread wasn't grilled at all and was soggy. I spoke to the waitress about it and she offered to replace it. I told her that was not necessary as almost half of it was already eaten by the time she offered. I ordered a burger for my entree. The burger was ordered med-well but it was well done as were the grilled buns that it came with. My experience this trip was a little disappointing. I will still go back and recommend this place to family and friends. Maybe they were just having an off night. read more

This is my first review on a restaurant. My girlfriend and I dined for dinner at stone wood this evening for the first time. I ordered the special which was amazing. My girlfriend ordered the bourbon burger which is something she normally does not do. Upon being served, my dish was tasty. My girlfriend is not one to speak up regarding food if she doesn't like it. This was one of those meals that just didn't satisfy her tastebuds. Our server Alex was quick to take it off of our tab and offered to bring her something different. The orginal will always be my favorite. We came over to Ormond for a staycation. We got unpacked and needed food, but hadn't went to Publix. We ordred StoneWood takeout. I had the Blast, it had bacon lettuce Avocado, Smoked salmon and tomato. This was amazing! My wife got the Asian Chicken salad it has always been her favorite. We also split the bourbon bacon jam burger and man it was cooked perfect and very tasty. They also do takeout very well. Everything comes packed nice is ready to eat when you get home. Probably our most reliable and best meal every year when we visit Florida! Prime rib and filet were cooked perfect! Ordered the wedge salad and was a bit surprised it was smothered in balsamic, dam, I would have asked to omit the balsamic- I want a blue cheese wedge salad not a balsamic wedge salad!!! Great spot with delicious food and magnificent service. It was a Sunday night and we arrived at 8:30. The host informed me of the kitchen closing at 9. They are very accommodating as to where you want to sit and the booth I chose was cozy. Amanda was our server and took amazing care of us. Even though they have a smaller menu due to Covid19 The choices were very good... We started with the mild buffalo chicken wings with house ranch dressing WOW phenomenon!
