    Corn crème Brûlée

I was so excited to eat there. But I was kind of underwhelmed by the food specially for the price. Best thing was those little fried rolls! Scallops were gritty and crème brûlée corn was more like creamed corn.

This was such a delicious meal! I came to celebrate the birthday and the staff was so friendly, offering us a free slice of cake as well as a birthday card that was signed by the staff. Now, the food was absolutely amazing, we started with their complimentary bread that tasted like a cross between bread and a donut, it was incredible. For our entree I went with the filet medallions and crab cake. The steak was cooked perfectly and the crab cake was so flavorful without being mushy. The whipped potatoes brought everything together when you mixed it in with the crab and steak! We also got the brussel sprouts and parmesan fries for the table. The brussel sprouts were perfectly crispy and the fries were a huge portion! Super crisp and great flavor of garlic and Parmesan. This was a fantastic dinner and I'll definitely be back, super intrigued to try out the pastas!

    Ribeye

I had the ribeye and lamb chops, and both were cooked medium-well with a great sear. The cook was on point--tender, juicy, and exactly how I like my meat. My only complaint is that they needed a little more seasoning and flavor. Overall, a good meal and I'd definitely give it another try!

I got the tuna stack as an appetizer and the ribeye with Mac n cheese and creamed spinach. Everything was enjoyable but not like omg amazing I have to come back type of enjoyable since I don't live near cool springs.

The best steakhouse we've found in the middle TN area. It's our top choice for all special occasions and it's never let us down. I highly recommend it

Stoney River has recently changed their menu and prices. Sadly, we don't plan on coming back. They got rid of many staples such as the trout, meatloaf and hamburger. The replacements are subpar. They even have a new recipe for mashed potatoes. They are now saturated with butter. Just look at how heavy they are in the pictures.

Great food and the kids loved it too which made it an even better night. Our server was also amazing. The carrot cake was a big hit!

Food Let's talk about it!!! Everything we tasted was spot on! Started with the steak rolls and the free rolls, had the bone-in pork chop and double cut lamb chops. You can't go wrong with any of their choices, though. Wanted to try the Halibut but it was sold out . Next time, will have to get a side of the chimichurri because it was incredible on the steak rolls and with the lamb chops! Service Staying with the halibut. We were able to order it, but were informed moments later that it was not available. Could've been an issue but the manager Jane made it right! Apologized and turned around that part of the service. Other than that, seated immediately and our waiter was very attentive making sure the drinks stayed filled. Ambiance Absolutely amazing, cozy. Loved the fireplace. The lighting can be a bit dark so it can be tough to get those Yelp pictures but I tried my best lol. All in all, great restaurant in an easily accessible location with amazing food and Ambiance. Will be back again soon!

Every single piece of food we each tasted was seriously perfect delicious. We each ordered more than we needed so we did grab take-home boxes to carry the yummy stuff with us. The vibe in here is so wonderful and feels so relaxing and comfortable. My favorite thing even more than food at every place I go to is always the service though. The service here was seriously A+++. The host at the entry, the server, the manager, and everyone else in there were seriously perfect and made the whole time there so fun and enjoyable. This had to be the greatest place to go for a meal and even sit with others and hang out. So great.

I dined at Stoney River on March 9, 2024 at 7:30 pm for my birthday. I had a good experience and it was a good choice to celebrate my birthday. The food was great, but the service was less attentive than expected. Probably because we were seated in the corner next to the bathrooms. But it wasn't too bad because it was a lot less noisy than the middle of the restaurant. For appetizer, I had the lobster bisque. The bisque was creamy and flavorful. I was satisfied that it had a decent amount of lobster pieces in there. For the entree, I got the coffee-cured filet mignon with a side of garlic mash potatoes. It was cooked to a perfect medium temperature and was one of the best tasting filets I had. It did come out missing the chimichuri sauce, but it was rectified after several minutes of waiting for the server to come back and check on us. The food came out in decent time, which was impressive given how busy they were. If the service was more attentive, it would be deserving of 5 stars. Overall, very excellent food, a bit pricey though. Average service, because it took a while. But your service could vary depending on the day, time, and server.

Even though they were busy, the two sweet hostesses managed to get us seated right away at the bar. The bartenders were incredibly friendly and made the whole experience even better. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad, and my husband got the dry-aged ribeye. Everything was AMAZING. The steak was cooked perfectly, and even the Caesar salad was one of those dishes that was simple but just really, really good. My mom ordered the steak frites. It was good, but she didn't like the peppercorn sauce. I think if that's your thing it would be good but it just wasn't her taste preference. We also got a side of broccoli gratin. Very good. Cheese and broccoli... what's not to like? Overall I would say I had a decent experience. I'd like to go again and maybe try something else and sit at a table.

Culamar is drenched in natural light and decorated simply - nothing too loud or busy about the place, thus perfect for a working lunch. The menu was odd and we all struggled to understand the categories it was broken up into. Each item read as a series of arbitrarily listed ingredients. Our (half asleep, disinterested) waitress informed us the dishes were, in majority, "tapas style", a term I find exhaustingly passé. I began to dream of restaurants down the road we could have selected, but we were here and we must stay the course! I had to keep it together for Dennis. We ordered 6 dishes for the three of us to share, and you know what? They were all excellent. Really such outstanding bites. I was stunned by how much I enjoyed the beef carpaccio, the calamari was the best I've ever had (amazing tempura fry!), the Gnuddi (basically a massive gnocchi) in browned butter and crisp sage was a pillowy delight. In spite of my initial concerns -- the hiccups of a confusing menu and our less-than-energetic waitress -- we all left with pleased palates.

The food itself was absolutely delicious. The bread was AMAZING and honestly one of the highlights. We also ordered the oysters, beef carpaccio, and duck, and everything tasted incredible. My biggest complaint is the price for the portion sizes. I really don't mind spending money on a nice dinner, but every dish we ordered was gone in what felt like less than a minute. Everything tasted amazing, but for the amount of food you actually get, I just couldn't justify the prices. We actually left and ended up going to another restaurant afterward because we were still hungry, which was pretty disappointing considering how much we had just spent. Overall, the food was delicious, but between the extremely small portions, high prices, tight space, and slower service, it just wasn't worth it for us. I'm glad we tried it, but I wouldn't go back.

The shrimp were large, and the cocktail sauce was perfect! Now, here's a must: Order the salad bar! It's legendary! For my entrée, I went with my usual Filet Oskar, sooo good and cooked to perfection! Others in our group had the filet and the fish, and everyone loved their meals. Since it was Mom's 90th birthday, she had the Peppermint Ice Cream, which is her favorite! And here's the really sweet part. Our waitress, Sylvia, noticed that I had birthday candles sitting off to the side. Without saying a word, she discreetly came behind me, took the candles, and put them on Mom's ice cream! Then they worked their magic. They came to the table, took a few pictures, and gave us the photos in a little paper frame to take home. What a wonderful memory from such a special birthday! And back to Sylvia, she was amazing! She was incredibly attentive throughout the entire meal, helped us while ordering, kept our water glasses filled, and always greeted us with her beautiful smile. I'm guessing that's due in part to Maverick, the General Manager, who seems genuinely committed to excellence. We actually came back this week because we realized we'd enjoyed our meal so much during our last visit that we forgot to take photos for our review. Believe it or not, we nearly forgot again! I rarely eat bread, but I always make an exception for the Spent Grain Loaf. Paired with the unbelievably fresh butter and flaky sea salt, it's one of my favorite things on the menu. My husband ordered the Prawn Cocktail. I'm allergic to shrimp, so I couldn't try it myself, but he said it was outstanding. I usually order the Koji Ribeye, but this time my husband claimed it first, so I ventured out and ordered the Alaskan Halibut with hash brown crust, orange vinaigrette, and watercress. It was absolutely delicious. My favorite side remains the Roasted Carrots with Leiper's Fork honey and tarragon--they're incredible. We finished with the Carrot Cake. It's less sweet than the version served at another well-known Franklin restaurant, which I actually prefer. The flavors are more nuanced, and the crunchy shredded carrot on top adds the perfect texture. The food was, as always, exceptional. We were fortunate to have Jeff Paul as our server again. He's knowledgeable, attentive, and strikes that perfect balance of being available without ever being intrusive. That said, we've honestly never had anything but excellent service at 1799. Maverick stopped by our table and was warm, engaging, and genuinely interested in making sure every guest had a memorable experience.
