Cruising through Yelp reviews, we decided to venture here from our Lake House on a Friday night. Very glad we did. Housed in what feels like a very old building, the dining room is unassuming with a bar along one side. Waubeka, the town in which STG sits, was the birthplace of Flag Day and the dining room was adorned in red, white, and blue (or it could be for July 4th but who knows). Service was quick. I opted for the fried walleyed with the german potato salad. My better half was in a pizza mood. We started off cheese filled breadsticks aka Stony Sticks-they were solid. The pizza probably suffered from almost too much cheese but did the trick. The stand out being the walleye. It was extremely tasty. Perfectly fried with a light breading, it was heavenly. The german potato salad was a step away from my grandmother's and thats saying alot. At $18, it was a great value. It's a 25 min drive away and well worth it. We will be back. read more

It could go either way! Walked in at 6pm can see it's busy no worries. SIGN SAYS WAIT TO BE SEATED!!!! Find an employee how long is the way? Her response seemed like she didn't really care. Do you have a waiting list confused their too! On list. Staff behind bar thumbs down! Watch to groups walk out! Mind you should be next be be seated.....hmmm group at bar decides to sit on island. WTF! Why have a wait list? Waitress finally seats us. She is pissed off but extremely polite! Food was great! We picked up to go burgers from them on their Monday $2 build your own burger night. I had initially looked at the burgers on their menu and thought the charge for their add-ons was incredibly high, so I was happy to see that there Monday night special had a better deal. After looking at some reviews of the cheeseburgers I decided to do a double because they're patty looks thin and small. The menu says their usual burger is 1/3 pound so I think they might use a larger patty in that instance. I'm honestly not positive though. There was a sheet for us to fill out with how we wanted our burgers. I was extremely disappointed with the amount of toppings they put on my burger. I ordered tomato, lettuce, and onion. I got two small clumps of onion, barely any lettuce, and not even a full slice of tomato. The burgers were over cooked which is to be expected but worth noting. It also took almost 30 minutes for the food to come out and it was not at all busy. Because it was a deal, I will say we got what we paid for but I would rather spend more money to have a decent burger with adequate toppings. found this place in an ozaukee county magazine and decided to stop by to try out one of their many specials! we seriously lucked out with our Wednesday night -- $5 pitchers of beer & $0.75 wings ... I honestly didn't even know I could find specials this good anymore! bonus points that the wings were fantastic. big wings & a bunch of different sauces (some homemade, others not). bartender was also fantastic! extremely welcoming townie bar vibes. will definitely be back, likely to try their $2 taco Tuesday!! read more

We arrived on a Wednesday. The restaurant was not , full but busy. Our waitress slapped the menus on the table with utensils. No introduction, no greeting. When she came ba k ten minutes later for our drink order, she went behind the bar and made them herself when a bartender was on shift. An hour later, I inquired a out our order since our waitress hadn't been back to check on us. All of a sudden, it appeared. The food was great! Hot, and just as ordered. After food delivery, she never came back until the check was due with a hand held credit system. She told me I could choose which percentage tip to leave. There wasn't an option below 15%. If I could have, I would have chosen 0%. I have been to Stony Hill many times. Each time Sharon is my waitress, I dont want to return. The kitchen is not the only way to lose business....she is the reason I wont come back, and I'm a local of many years. read more

Went in looking for a decent fish fry and an Old fashioned. Ended up having a great fish fry and 2 tall old fashioneds. The fish was done perfectly, crispy fries and good sides. Great service. Took a burger home for my son and he said it was delish. I liked the branding on the bun! We will return! read more

I am taking my great review of the Stoney Hill Burger Back. Not clear what happened but the quality of food (especially my Beloved Stoney hill burger) has gone down Hill. No longer a nice thick burger- it literally was the equivalent of a McDonalds 99 cent burger. Service was poor with a young man that was too busy. The music was way too loud for any kind of conversation between our group. Certainly the clientele has changed and is no longer an appropriate place to go for anyone wanting to chat with each other. read more

5 stars but minus one for D Bag that lives upstairs and yells in the parking lot every day. He is a nuisance in the neighborhood and lives above a bar with a small child. He was swearing and trying to start physical altercations in the street in front of his child. He was threatening to call the cops so I told him too and said I'd love to tell the cops about his behavior in front of his child. Then he got more angry but didn't call the cops because their was no issue whatsoever. I hope the baby's mom can get full custody. read more

This is a small bar/pub in a fairly rural Wisconsin community. It's not too far off Hwy 57 so if you are headed up/down 57 and are looking for a quick meal, it is a good choice. Nearly everything is scratch made - honestly unexpected for a pub like this. We've been there twice so far, primarily for the Friday fish fry. We've tried the cod and the blue gill. Both were good. We've tried several of their apps and soups - all good. Their clam chowder was good and their french onion was tasty. It was a bit salty for my liking, but my wife appreciated it. They have great garlic bread too. They have some options for kids and even have some kids toys/activity items that work well for families - this was surprising because I was envisioning "bar" atmosphere. It definitely has that look and feel, but not in a bad way. The service was very good and homey. We got in without a wait on Friday, even at 6:30pm. Prices are a bit high for the area and the type of venue. On our last trip (2 adults, 2 kids) we had one cod fish fry, one blue gill fish fry, two cups of soup, an order of garlic bread, two kids meals, two sodas, one beer - with tip it was nearly $75. That same meal elsewhere in the area would likely have run closer to $60 by my experience. But again, everything is scratch made. They said they try to locally source as much as they can, so I'll cut them a little slack here. All in all, not bad, especially considering the smaller town location. I'd go back for sure. read more

We were camping in Waubedonia county park and decided to stop here for dinner. Ordered our appetizer at 7:00 and at 7:40 I had to find the waitress to ask if we would ever see our food. I had blue gill for my entree. Center was cold and fries were still chilled. Waitress stated the regular cook was sick and someone new was cooking. We won't return. read more

They may say the have the best fish fry in Ozaukee County but unfortunately their service is sub par. Not that they don't all hustle around--just very inefficient and slow. We waited for 55 minutes, saw 3 tables who sat down long after us receive their food first and when we asked the waitress she said it depended on which waitress got their order into the 1 register first. Each waitress also makes their own drinks for their table. Ours, while nice, never made a Bloody Mary before which was painfully obvious after 1 sip and the vodka tonic was tasteless.
