I bought some fruits earlier at around 12:00 pm today and cashier at lane 11, Eva, was throwing my fruits after she scanned them. I told her to stop and she didn't even blink her eyes and continued to not looking at me! No eye contacts with me at all. She continued throwing my fruits down the lane, and at one point, I stopped the cantaloupe as it rowed down. I told her to stop throwing my fruits otherwise I will report her to a manager. She continued rough handling with my fruits. After I paid, I reported her to a staff who wore a purple apron and she said she will talk to that rude cashier. I don't trust that she will. So, I went to the customer service center and requested to talk to a mgr on site. The same lady with the purple apron (forgot to write down her name) who I spoke to earlier came out and greeted me. She said I just talked to Eva about her behavior. She asked me, what else do you wanted me to do?" I told her I needed you to be aware of Eva's poor customer service and attitude. She wasn't friendly with a customer before me too. I told her I should have recorded the incident to show it to her. She said no needed to record; I trusted you. She apologize for Eva's behavior. That rude cashier needs a written up. I have no time for idiocy and stupid customer service behavior! She won't want her fruits get thrown around like that! That purchase was $50! read more

Being Mother's Day Weekend, I purchased an Edible Arrangement. I got home and realized a car accident had taken down power lines and I was without power. I went to Stop and Shop to weigh my options to keep my Mom's gift from spoiling. The manager on duty was Dan MacDonough. He couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and he actually offered to put my gift in his produce cooler. It was clear that family values were important to him. I shop at this location frequently and it can be a hit or miss. Was here the other night to grab some grocery for dinner. The produce was average. They did not had jalapeno. How can that happen! Second time I had a hard time to find some ripe avocado. It is so popular now that they should have enough in stock and ripen in time for sales. some produce is just not to par with their recent commercial that they twice on their quality of their produce. When I got home, I found that my sour cream was cut open. I've should've checked more than just the date as the clerks usually cuts open the packaging for stock. read more

They constantly run out of the things I want and can't seem to keep their ice cream properly, it's always frost-bitten, previously melted and re-frozen. Until the recent layout change, their self-checkout was a joke, and they never enforced the speed lines. People were taking full carts through that "under 12" self-checkout constantly. I go to this store mainly due to its convenient location and nothing else. It makes this transplant desperately miss having a Wegmans nearby. read more

The only complaint I have about this store is that the noise level from the intercom announcement of deli orders is annoying! Seems like every second there is an announcement of a customer's order # being ready. I realize that customers don't want to stand in line at the deli waiting endlessly for an order and would like to continue to shop while their order is being processed but this convenience for them is an inconvenience to me! I hate the loudness of the announcements! I will, therefore, not be shopping here often in less it is to get in and out quickly for a few items! read more

This was a okay stop & shop. The place was an awful disorder, not like some of the other locations that I've been to which is nice and organized. Their produce was nothing to write home about. The spaghetti squash they were selling was so white that I wonder if it had ever been exposed to the sun? But I was able to find a book on sale for $2.99. read more

just got back from this stop & shop, will never go back again, went to the only register lit up that was not a self check out, no clerk there, had to find someone to get a clerk for me, clerk comes over, ignores me when i say hi,how are you, rings up my order and proceeds to get on his phone, really?? didn't bag my groceries, my boyfriend had to do it, had to interrupt him to pay because he was very interested in his phone , i pay for my things and as i'm leaving, i see another employee laying on the conveyor belt where u put ur food to pay for it!! (it was register 20 in case u want to avoid it )his feet and behind were on the belt! that is disgusting and unsanitary, will NEVER return to this store again, i will pay the extra money at 7 eleven, at least the clerks don't ignore u and lay all over the counters where u put ur food, wish i hadn't of left my phone in the car read more

Usually the only time I go to this Stop & Shop on Southern Artery is because they do have reasonably priced collard greens, everything else I'll go across to Roxies, they are cheaper than Stop&Shop. I have a problem S&S's parking lot. I was there a week ago, briefly to shop for what else collard greens. It was very windy that day, so coming out to a parking lot full of empty carriages moving all over the place was crazy. Thank God they have rubber bumpers on the carts. But it didn't help when I noticed that one was coming toward my driver side window. It cracked it before I could stop it. I spoke to the mgr. about this, he did come outside to check it out. Got a phone call from him a few days later, he told me since parking in their lot is "parking at your own risk" they are not responsible for anything that happens in their parking lot, so too bad. Needless to say, I will be getting in touch with my insurance company to report this. What a piece of work this mgr. is. I will not shop there again, since I only go there for one thing anyway. Hannafords or Lamberts on Morrissey Blvd. is where I'll do my business and Roxies. With all the money they make I'm wondering why they don't hire enough people to keep the parking lot empty of carts. It baffles me how they manage to have the least amount of registers open on a Sunday...you'd think on a busy day like Sunday they would have more people working? Nope, just lines that are 7 carts deep filled with people thinking the same exact thing as me. This is probably the best supermarket in the North Quincy area. It is newly renovated (fall of 2013), clean, has a nice variety of food items, relatively friendly staff, and sells wine/beer. So we go here for most of our food and for our wine/beer needs, while relying on Milton Market Basket for specialty food items. read more

It is always crowded here, but the workers seem really nice. The main problem I have with this place is some of the managers. One of them in particular was by the name of "Keegan" I believe. I came in a while back asking about an application I sent in. They contacted her, and when I asked her about it she was rude to me. I think it was just unacceptable for her to be that way to an applicant. I would hope for them to get someone with a little more respect to do their hiring. Other than that, the store is great. I don't go here too often anymore though, but I enjoy the experience when I do shop there. read more
