The review is from two weeks ago by google by they hided it, which I need to find another place to repost: I usually have a positive experience shopping at Stop & Shop, but today was different. Around 4:45 PM, at Register 22 (Express Checkout), I had a very unpleasant encounter with a cashier named Christine. My friend and I had picked out three discounted beef cuts and an onion, but when we were informed that the beef wasn't on sale as we thought, we decided to keep just two pieces. Christine immediately grabbed the one we decided not to purchase and tossed it over to the neighboring register in a very dramatic manner. After that, she continued the checkout process with a visibly upset and unwelcoming demeanor. What stood out most was her sudden change in attitude. She was perfectly polite to the customer before us, but as soon as we mentioned the change, her face soured. I don't want to jump to conclusions, but as an Asian customer, it did feel like there was a noticeable shift in her behavior. Furthermore, as a staff member, it's part of her job to put returned items back in their proper place. There was no need to throw the beef so carelessly in front of us. It was clear she was frustrated, and that's not the level of customer service I expect. I called the manager (Chen Heilong) to explain the situation, and was told they would have a conversation with Christine. However, based on my experience, I'm not sure much will change. I shop here often, but this was the first time I've encountered such poor service. I hope Christine can remember that customer service is about maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude, no matter the situation.

I come here because it's near me. Sometimes the food is rotten and you can't tell until you get home. Now, i thoroughly inspect my food. It's not the cleanest and the service is oftentimes slow. The items are typically fully stocked .

We love this location but I hope we never have her as our cashier again. She had just gotten into the lane, and we were her first shoppers. She acted incredibly annoyed at every turn, and was extremely rude from beginning to end. As she was scanning my groceries, she was throwing them onto the belt like it was garbage. My poor tangerines probably have a couple bruises on them. Jesus.

This review is specifically for the florist within Stop and Shop. I usually come here to get flowers for Mother's Day or special events and gifts. While the florist section is small, I would say they always have a wide range of selection with a great price range. There have been times where I've found a bouquet of flowers for $7. You could also find something more elegant for special occasions for upwards of $35-40. I appreciate that range of selection. The last time I came here was for a more elegant vase that I was going to give to my grandmother who lost a brother. When the florist saw that I had picked an 'I'm sorry for your loss' card she immediately told me she would make me a fresh bouquet of flowers because the one I had picked was slightly wilted and wouldn't last as long. It was a tough day and I just really appreciated her making a new vase without me having to ask. I wish I would have snapped a picture of how beautiful the one she made on the spot was, but I'll just attach pictures of previous flowers I've purchased from the florist at Stop and Shop. The ladies there are great!

Pay attention to "Sell By" Date on meat products. Pork tenderloin was 6 weeks past the sell by date.

He told me that he'd heard good things about the pizza here and thought we should order one, so we did. We got a mushroom pizza. It was going to take about 20 minutes to be ready so we finished up our other shopping and then went to pick it up. I am sorry to say to me the pizza had little merit. The dough was too thick too soft and underbaked. The sauce was bland. Tom liked it a bit better than I did but agreed that this pizza doesn't merit a repeat. I limit my carbs and this pizza isn't worth wasting a single one. Given that this was a trial of the pizza I will give it an overly generous 3 stars but it was more like a 2.5. I didn't want to change the star count for the store itself because essentially I am talking about just one product. So shop at the supermarket, pass on the pizza.

Yes, it can be crowded but it's not like you're being knocked about. The vast majority of other customers always are pleasant enough whether I've been there at peak or 'off' hours. If you absolutely can't stand crowds (or are a rather unpleasant person), you should certainly go to one of Hanover's other grocery stores where there is much more room to contemplate the inflated prices. I love that virtually every cashier is usually open and there are none of those frustrating and annoying self-checkout areas. And the employees are always busy (cheerfully so) which seems to indicate a generally happy workforce. Market Basket has done it right and I am so glad they came to Hanover!

I called to confirm specifics on the cake design, and submitted two weeks in advance. 24 hours before pickup time, I received a confirmation email/reminder to pick up the cake. 12 hours before pickup, at 9PM, I received a call saying they could not make the cake design, and cited a copy right issue. Wegmans had no response to me asking why I was informed so late, and no response to me that I previously called to confirm they could do this cake. Honestly, leaving me to try to fix my 6 year olds birthday cake for his party with less than 10 hours before the party should be zero stars...

It doesn't have the square footage that Northborough has. But it has everything you need to get the proper Wegs experience. This location is still rather large, especially for a supermarket. You can find an extensive cheese department, along with wines and beers. Like most Wegs, you'll find that the essentials are quite affordable. Even organics are decently priced. You'll run into a little trouble with prepared foods if you're on a budget, though. At one point, their hot food bar was more pricey that Whole Foods. The dining section is clean and well-lighted. It's a decent place to meet up. Service is generally friendly here though I don't really need to seek out help, other than at the check-out counter or customer service. Usually though experiences have been positive. The major advantage is that Wegs is open until midnight, which is great for those that want a less crowded shopping experience (clutch during the pandemic).

I've never had a bad sandwich from there. I've tried the chopped cheese, steak and cheese, and buffalo chicken sandwiches. I've really enjoyed the chopped cheese and steak and cheese and can say that are favorites for me. I also like grabbing one of their cold-cut sandwiches to take to the beach as an easy snack. I haven't tried anything from the salad or hot bar yet, but it always looks really good. It gets pretty busy, so I'm guessing it's popular for a reason. I also buy my meat and fish there because everything always looks fresh and the quality has been great. The produce I've picked up has always been fresh too. Don't forget their garden section with a great selection for seasonal favorites. It's clean and very organized, so easy to find what you need. The only reason it's only four stars is because they sell a bunch of seedless grapes, which I hate. I want my grapes with seeds in them. I really hate that almost NONE of the local grocery stores or national chains sell grapes with seeds anymore. And when they do, it's usually only one variety. But that doesn't seem to bother most people. You're gonna love this place! I do!
