It started with speaking with Steve (One of the owners) about four months ago, as I informed him that I was moving 300 miles to town suddenly and desperately needed a place to store all of my stuff. Steve promised to have a specific size reserved for me, and if they didn't have a unit available when I moved down, that he would let me use his personal garage. That wasn't necessary though, as Steve made sure there was a space available (With about six hours notice from me, once I finally discovered when I was moving), and handled all paperwork over the phone as I was in the middle of a five-hour drive, leaving a lock in the unit because he knew I'd be getting there late in the evening and didn't have a fitting lock. My storage unit was spotless, the entire storage complex was/is spotless, and he was completely understanding and provided incredible customer service when I needed emergency access to my unit at 5am the next week. I've spoken to Steve a couple of times since. He was kind enough to remind me of my due date after I missed payment two months later, and didn't charge me a late fee because they're good people. I just finished a phone call with Steve's son, Mike, who provided equally great customer service and was incredibly accommodating to my requests. I'm removing my things from their unit, only because I've found a place to live in Austin. I would gladly drive back to Buda to continue using their services, because of the amazing customer service I've received. There's no need to storage unit shop. Call them today. Calling and talking to any other company is a waste of time.

I called the number and was told they open at 11 and they were likely late so for me to wait. I waited over 30 minutes and never got a call nor did they open. I finally got a call and they as told they aren't open on Sunday and the website should have been updated. I told her it wasn't and apparently their call center didn't know of the cha he either. Apologized and stated I could go tomorrow. I scheduled it when I did both times because it was available and met my time frames. I told them o would be looking elsewhere and I don't think they even cared.

I had looked all over town for a good climate controlled building and one that was close to us. When I walked in, I was greeted by David. Such a nice friendly guy! He told me all about the place. How clean it is and they check regularly and there are motion detectors in each unit. That way if someone goes in your unit without your permission it notifies you on your phone. That information and the location, which is closer to where we live is what made me pick this self storage place. We weren't quite ready to get a unit, but knowing the information David gave us it was the right choice. He gave our information to Christa and she called me on the phone and introduced herself. She was so pleasant and sweet. She told me she would keep our name and if a unit popped up that we were looking for she would notify us. So the next month we were in town, Christa had given us another call, so I stopped by yesterday and got to meet Christa. Such a sweet wonderful person. So pleasant and just a downright nice person. David showed me a couple of units and we decided on one and Christa helped me get all set up. This place is so clean and spotless! The inside and so clean too! I would totally recommend this place to anyone that needs a unit. Yes it might be a little more than most storage units, but when you see how clean it is and it has climate controlled units, and motion detectors you might change your mind and get one. Plus it is right by the HEB and plenty of places to eat.

And the gate was broken the whole duration of my rental where it remained open 24/7 so how secure is the unit when anyone can come and go as they please whether they belong there or not. Another time, I called in to replace a card and they lost it, and then charged me for being late. I had to fight with them to get a fee removed. I had seen Oak Hill Minis for years but never stopped by because it looked old. I wish I had checked it out earlier. The units are clean and safe, and the customer service is excellent and friendly.

The district manager is unresponsive to all request for communication and they both have been unable to resolve any issues. Please consider a different storage facility for your storage needs. Issues with payment, management unable to explain certain charges, homeless people living on the property and currently have a storage unit on the property. Some storage units have no barrier to ceiling and are unsecure. Forced to move all contents from storage unit to another unit on the property with no compensation for time or labor and then given three days to vacate after moving.

To our knowledge we had never received any email saying we needed to sign a new contract. After my wife contacted Morningstar regarding this email we were emailed a contract dated 2017. After telling them that we'd be happy to sign a contract dated 2024 we were told that if we didn't sign the contract by Monday the 30th they would lock up our belongings. Let me just affirm that we were paid in full and have diligently paid our bill for the entire time we have used their facilities. Further, we are both self employed and both lost a day of income because we will not do business with anyone so disrespectful and we moved out today. Further yet, when I looked the Morningstar website today I found that they are advertising storage lockers the same size as ours for 50 dollars less a month than we were paying them. In overview, I suspect that there is some other issue in management there. Why else would they present us with a contract backdated to 2017. Obviously, I cannot recommend this facility
