It is so much more efficient that trying to buy and assemble cardboard boxes. They made it super easy by having different packages depending on the size of your space. I got the recommended one for our 3 bed house, and it was the perfect amount. The delivery and pick up was so fast and easy, and having to unload the boxes within a certain amount of time ended up being beneficial for not procrastinating unpacking. The best part was that many of the boxes are the same shape, so I was able to find efficiencies in packing because I had an idea of how much could fit into one box after doing the first few. The movers loved them because they are easy to stack, and it saves them time by not having to carry a ton of small/different sized boxes back and forth. When we confirmed the order, I scheduled both for the 10am to 12pm window. Both times the window was changed to 8am to 10am at the last minute with no explanation. Booking was fine, but on our scheduled delivery day the delivery window passed and I sent them an email to see what was up. A few hours later I got an apologetic response that something screwed up in their system and they'd deliver the next day. They offered a pro-rated refund of one day, or a one-week extension on our pickup. When they did get delivered things went smoothly, and the boxes themselves were great to have for the move. It was great to just fill a box, close it up, slap on a label and a ziptie, then grab a new one and keep packing. The pickup was also late, but at least it was on the correct day. I asked the pickup guy to send me a text when he was arriving since the boxes were behind our gate, he said sure, but then he never did. Luckily I happened to see him coming. As a former environmentally-focused writer, I had heard of companies renting boxes for when you move. I was surprised to see how affordable they were, but what REALLY sold me was a) they offered wardrobe boxes (woohoo!) and b) they would both DELIVER AND PICK UP the boxes. Sold. On delivery day, the gentleman driving the truck was very kind and got all the boxes into the apartment in less than 15 minutes. I was surprised and delighted, two weeks later, when the same gentleman came to pick up the boxes at the new place - he even remembered me! Great customer service, for sure. **FOLLOW-UP AFTER OWNER REBUTTAL: Shortly after posting my terrible experience with Bronko Box, I receive a notification that the business owner replied. Having dealt with notoriously pseudo-entrepreneurial businesses and owners (complete with sloppily placed word lamp-shading) I was almost certain it was going spin it into his favor in an attempt to make the mean ol' customer seem irresponsible and unreasonable. What he expertly scribed in reply can be read below my entire post. Some points to his rebuttal: * The entrepreneur recounts the events of the day in great detail, also points out that he let me keep $25 dollars. I would suggest you keep that $25 next time if your business needs it so badly that you take it from most of your customers * it is stated that a door was knocked, never that the doorbell was rung. I sit in front of the door In question working in silence on a computer. Any notable sound would have caught my attention (I've yet to lose hearing, perhaps in the 4th decade) * Important to previous point, notice how he treats me saying that I was home as a falsehood, he takes multiple times to say that I was not home at the agreed time. I was indeed, though his story stands in the fact that i was not. Both my wife and myself were home. * Toward the end of the business man's reply he passive aggressively states how he'd love for me to try the boxes he couldn't manage to deliver and how he "stands by his product" and how he hopes I will take into consideration some "facts" * It's also important to note that he states he stands by his PRODUCT but not his SERVICE. Though I'd argue they're one and the same. * This post, along with my first one below and the business owner's reply I think are shining examples of how this seemingly simple solution has a team that is stretched so thin, a single mishap upheaved everything. *ORIGINAL REVIEW: Sounded so cool. But ruined my move because they delegate to third parties to make deliveries. (The delivery is made by a third party service who partners with them, but not Bronko Box themselves) The phone number listed is a voicemail box that isn't checked. Delivery was attempted around 12:30pm (between 12:00 and 1:00 or 1:00 and 2:00) Phones were in the room. Around 2:00 I check my phone to see attempted calls and a text while my wife was cooking and I was working in the front room. We did not hear a knock or a doorbell. I text the number that originally texted me. That text informed me that because we were "not home" that our Bronko Box delivery would be deferred until Monday. Informed him the move was on Sunday and next week would be too late. He let me know again that there was nothing he could do. Another interesting note is that in one note he referred to the driver as "our driver" and then in a separate text admitted that "I'm the driver." This is when I launched into resented customer mode. (I was being treated unfairly in my estimation, especially since I was most definitely home and did NOT hear a doorbell) Texted the guy that I had a poor experience, so on. He shot back that I was texting his PERSONAL number (umm.. so why use it to text me first about a business matter) that he was JUST the driver (who is also a business owner named Jackson of JacksonOfAllTrades - I assume a contractor of Bronko Box) And he swore up and down he rung the doorbell. I still call BS on that because it's very loud and I was working right in front of the door. Anyway, I'm surprised the reviews or so good on this because they've screwed me over with no way to pack my stuff. Keep it classy, Austin. Don't use BronkoBox even if it sounds cool. read more

I am so sad it took me so long to find Bronko Box! The boxes are super sturdy which made moving easy and they were really on top of things with drop-off and pick-up -- a total breeze. I have moved a LOT. Three of those times were in New York City where moving is as close to hell as one can get. I've done the run around with movers a lot and have never ever had an experience as good as the one I had with Bronko Box. Their prices are INSANELY better than anyone I called (I called a lot of people in Austin), even when you include renting boxes from them. So much better I did a shit ton of research because i was sure it was a scam. I digress. Brooke and Bo who run BB are the nicest - you get 26 boxes delivered to you well in advance of your move (extra boxes are super cheap, but as someone who has way too many things, the standard 26 was plenty for a 1 bedroom move). When I had a family emergency she had no problem moving my move date by a week; Bo called me the day they had planned to pickup boxes to see if I needed more time because of that (see? super nice). Rodni and Hayden were my moving team and they were both great -- super efficient (they turned down Torchy's to keep working, since your last hour is prorated) yet didn't rush through the job either (they spent a fair amount of time making sure my semi-broken platform on my bed didn't become completely broken when they disassembled and reassembled the thing). They also have an insane combined depth of basketball knoweldge, so if debating the many levels of how much Dwight Howard sucks (or cute movers who look like Kevin Love) are your thing, definitely ask for them. All in all: - insanely good prices, - boxes that were 1000x better than cardboard, - reliable/excellent moving team, - customer service across the whole organization was above and beyond anything I've seen in 2016. I'm a big fan of moving crates instead of boxes and have used a few companies in the past. Unfortunately these crates showed up dirty, like they'd been stored outside for a while with just a layer of grime. Additionally there were stickers from the previous users still on the box. Not a big deal to cover up with a new sticker, but some of the stickers were not the approved stickers the company gives you. So a previous user had used tape and some other kind of sticker that was impossible to get off! Didn't want the movers to get confused so had to spend some extra time ripping off the tape. Overall, still much more convenient than moving boxes. However, I've had better experiences with other moving crate companies in the past. read more

I have never hired a mover before and this was a perfect first experience. Brian, Ryan, and Kenny (and later, Lamont) were professional, courteous, and interpersonal. They worked hard and offered to go the extra mile despite me being very simple about where I wanted things placed. I wish I could find something to complain about, but I don't. I just hope these guys continue to be treated well for the effort they put in! It was really hot outside and I couldn't imagine doing it. The boxes themselves were easy to utilize and made moving pain free. The only hard part is being sure you unpack everything before they come to pick up the boxes. They let you keep the boxes for as long as you think you might need to unpack. It was perfect for us since we're both professionals in the city with limited bandwidth. Lamont came to pick up the boxes and was extremely courteous. I was working from home and needed as little disruption as possible. We chitchatted a little bit but he worked the whole time-brining all the boxes outside first before moving them into the truck. This made it so that I didn't have to worry about any disruptions. Lamont mentions he'd been with the company for 6 years-which is nothing short of astounding! It's amazing to see that folks are sticking around with a company that seems to be doing well for itself and it's employees. I used Bronko Box for my move from a one-bedroom apartment to a new, two-bedroom and these boxes made my life (and the movers lives) so much easier! The fact that the boxes are dropped off and picked up and I don't have to deal with building / disposing of boxes was great. They originally gave me a timeframe of 8a-10a to have them dropped off. This meant I would be late to work that day, but then I got a call at 7am and it was them calling to say they could drop them off earlier if I wanted. I was super excited about that and the man who dropped them off was very nice and even said he figured I had to get to work. I thought that consideration was great. Then, when I was done with the boxes - I wanted them out of my way but wasn't scheduled to have them taken for another 3 days. I emailed the company and they came to get them the next day! And the same thing happened - they called and offered to take them even sooner than planned. I thought this was great service. I moved this week and was recommended Bronko Box by my moving company. I can't thank them enough for the recommendation as this worked out fantastically. They are big, sturdy, and have build in lids so they stack well without the use for tape. The amount that I paid to rent 24 large and 2 XL Bronko Boxes for one week (including drop off and pick up) was so affordable, I would have spent 3x that much on boxes and tape at the hardware store. (i still used some small cardboard boxes to organize smaller things in the Bronko Box, amazon prime boxes work great for this and fit well inside) I want to highlight Lamont for both dropping off and picking up the boxes for me- I really appreciate that he would call me a few hours before he showed up and give me an estimated time of arrival with a 15 minute window. It was SUPER helpful to have that information that far in advance on drop off and pick up day instead of someone calling and just saying "we will be there in 30 minutes to drop off your boxes". I can't say enough what a good experience this was. I was dreading have to collect and transport enough suitable boxes for all my stuff. And I'm not a young guy, I've collected a decent bunch of stuff! Moving is a drag! I saw this on Facebook and it seemed like a great idea from the git-go! They BRING you these beautiful sturdy stackable rollable plastic crates! Beaucoup of them in the 2-BR package! A handful more than I needed, and I'm ok with that. I had trouble with the wardrobe boxes. They should be taller and a scooch wider. But they served their purpose. The labeled crates (easy to apply and peel off) made my packing and unpacking easier and more organized than if I had packed with a snowplow or front end loader, which I've done before. :-) It also forces you to get UNPACKED so you can return your crates! For our recent move, I decided to try Bronko Box instead of purchasing cardboard boxes. I was tired of having to get rid of all that cardboard at the end after unpacking. This being our 12th move, we wanted to stop adding to the landfills. Bronko Box did an excellent job dropping off the boxes at our home, safely, wearing masks and social distancing. They disinfect the boxes before delivery. That was important to us during this time. The boxes themselves were very clean and sturdy and it was so easy to pack and stack them, and roll them into the truck when the time came. Really cut down on the time it took to load the truck. We wiped down the boxes with disinfectant before returning them.
