I have a storage unit at Storage Outlet in Fullerton I went to make a payment this morning at 10:53am & there's no one in the office. I stood around and waited for a while & no one showed up . So then I called their phone number (twice) and no one answered. This isn't the first time this has happened, when I go to make a payment and no one's there in the office and nobody answers the phone . Its very frustrating, especially when gas prices are as high as they are, I don't have extra money to be spending on gas driving back-and-forth and I don't like to have my time wasted either. I ended up going to deposit cash on a card so that I could pay over the Internet and I didn't even notice until after I submitted the payment that my rent went up $10 and I was never even notified. Is that even legal? I'm very disappointed in their lack of customer service and lack of proper rent increase notification and lack of business etiquette. To start with DON'T RENT FROM THEM! I put a 5X10 unit on hold. I rented a truck and hired people to help me with the move. I get to the unit I open it up and I was shocked on how small it was, so I measured the floor it was a 3.5 X 9 at this point I'm extremely irritated because I know that all my stuff is not going to fit! It was a Sunday after their office was closed. So I called them and left a message about the FACT I was shorted 2 FEET. I had no choice but to unload what I could into the space (which I had to take the rest of my stuff back with me) for I had to drop off the rental truck. So come Monday I get no return call from anyone! I called the office Tyler told me he couldn't help me because he was not authorized, he gave me 2 numbers one was Corporate CS which you only get a recorded message to leave a message & the other one was the regional manager James Wolfer for that area. So I called the Regional he actually answered the phone I told him about the size difference, I got the impression from him that I was bothering him so he said he'll call me back. Next day I get a call from Tyler saying that I could move my stuff 2 doors down to a 4.5 X10. Which is still not a 5X10! I'm a disabled woman on limited income and I would have to hire help again to move my stuff! The other option I was given was a Whole $9 off that space?!? Which doesn't help me because I have more stuff I need to store! I have another unit with them (which is full) I've been renting since 2011! It's been 2 weeks and NO ONE from there has called me back Because they don't give a shit about their customers! THIS IS A CASE OF FRAUD MISREPRESENTATION OF SIZES! They want & need our business but where's their loyalty! I've called James Wolfer again the so called regional manager I only get...leave a message. I call corporate CS again all I ever get is leave a message! I'M DONE with this company! Oh by the way watch out for the skate boarders in the hallways which looks like they live there. This is a nice place been here for over. At first this place was great always had a girl at the counter to pay your bill or to use the restroom. Now she is gone they keep the door locked 24/7 so if you need to use the restroom or pay your bill you have to hope someone is in the office to open the door. Took me three trips last month to pay my bill and this month it was the same. When I mentioned it to the person behind the counter he was rude and told me he was in the bathroom for 5 to 10 min. Sorry I have been waiting for over 20 min. Poor customer service now. Hope they go back and hire people to help the customers. read more

I am taking off one star only because I had pre-registered for my unit online, and when I arrived to get my lock and see my unit, I had to go through the entire process again. Marisol was there each of the 3 times I went in and was totally cool with waiting a half a week after for me to finally sign. What I liked most is that she listened to my circumstances and treated me no different, despite the fact that it took me time to sign and pay. She literally was locking up the office when she saw my UHAUL unexpectedly and without previously signing or paying anything to the storage, she still put aside herself so I didn't have to wait an hour myself. She promptly got everything in order and made the moving as easy as possible. My family doesn't like pushy people AT ALL-in fact, I'd rather it be expensive if it means someone isn't in my face making me sign or deposit RIGHT NOW. Marisol was the only one who listened to my circumstance, waited patiently for me to decide when, still honored the 1/2 rent for 3 months special, was cool with switching storage sizes literally right before I paid-even though we discussed the room size already, and EVEN DELAYED HER LUNCH BY AN ENTIRE HOUR for me!!! It was her understanding that won me over completely, because I heard the same special from someone else but I didn't sign with them because they were too pushy and incapable of listening to my situation. Don't bother with using this unit. Signed contract 4 months ago and since then my business partner and I have notice significant changes. Initially we were told that we could have deliveries made there. After one failed attempt( because office closes at random times for lunch) we can't rely on office being open to receive deliveries. Office now chains up moving dollies and wants you to show ID at office to unlock for use. Made two attempt to deliver supplies to storage and could not because now one was available at office to unlock dollies. Eddie the manager lacks customer service experience and was rude after I let him know that he was late returning back for lunch. Found out that office has to close for 90 minutes because he is the only person working on the office. Also it appears that people may be living in these units because the hallways smell like urine. Eddie pretty much told me to find another unit with the lack of empathy expressed during our conversation. When I made points that he could not dispute and called him on the carpet for not returning back from lunch on a timely manner, he threatened to hang up on me, telling me to call back. Time to search for another unit. read more
